Speaker 1 (00:02):
John for in the morning Quickie on ninety a rock
brought to you by Barjo Ford. Come like yesterday, breezing,
got a high of eighty eight degrees, some scattered passing
showers but nothing heavy A jay, good morning, God, I
love it.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Don't have no nobody got time for disgusting weather around
Tampa Bay, especially after last year's storms. Hey, we're speaking
of storms of tropical depression or storm could form in
the next day or so in the Atlantic. It's expected
to be near north the Northern Leeward Islands tomorrow or
Thursday and Friday, and they say a chance of development
in the next forty eight hours.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
About eighty percent.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
The wind pattern looks like the same kind of wind pattern.
Hopefully you got one more storm after this one for Karen, Yeah,
this one.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Would be Jerry, Jerry, that's Jey.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
That's fun. Yeah. I guess as far as storms going.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Really fun, if it just follows that same pattern, that's
the best.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
That's the fun path. Yeah, stay on that path there,
all right.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
And while the Florida Department of Transportation is starting at
twenty three million dollar drainage and road project, I'm Kennedy
Boulevard in Tampa, which if you drive on it, especially
when it rains, you know, you basically need a boat.
It floods a lot of different areas you are in trouble.
So they're going to start this stretch running from Willow
Avenue to Henderson Boulevard, And in addition to replacing the

(01:21):
drainage system, they'll also be resurfacing the road, installing new
traffic signals at three intersections, which is huge and needed,
and updating some sidewalks and curve ramps.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Sounds like a slow roll, it's going to.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Be, I mean, something like this unfortunately can't be done overnight.
It's going to take a couple of years. Won't be
completed until the spring of twenty twenty seven. But in
addition to you know, expecting traffic or the construction that long,
you also need to understand that the speed limit is
now being reduced from forty to thirty miles per hour
in those construction zones. It's also going to be shifted

(01:57):
in certain areas to the north side of the road
for about six months, and then it's going to be reversed. Right, Yeah,
not so all right? Disgusted the government shutdown, no clear
resolution in sight, is yesterday. Both parties continue to blame
each other for the funding laps.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Your Mama, no, your mama.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Which, by the way, the FAA says that the control
town Right care of care of at California's Hollywood Burbank
Airport was unmanned last night due to staffing issues because
of the government shutdown. Why well, because you know, air
traffic controllers they have to work during the shutdown, but
they're not being paid, just like so many other people

(02:38):
in the airports and military and way too many jobs,
way too many jobs.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
This shouldn't be happening, yah, I mean, why aren't they
included them to get paid list which they say.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Flights could still take off in land, but yesterday pilots
had to use procedures that are usually followed at small
airports that don't have control towers.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
And that's not all.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
A dozen FAA facilities experienced staffing issues yesterday, including Phoenix
and Denver as multiplayer traffic controllers are also now calling
in sick.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Is it okay to approach? I don't check your text
he's a ark. The traffic controllers at the beach right now,
Why on earth did this ever become a thing where
It's like, hey, we can't pay him, but we still
need you to work, and everybody's got to be cool
with it.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Why's that ever? Why is that ever considered?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Eric traffic controllers at the bar right now relaxing, yea off.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
President Trump says that Sean Diddy Combs asked him for
a pardon.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Oh wait what?

Speaker 2 (03:38):
When talking to reporters at the White House yesterday, he
revealed quote unquote, I call him puff Daddy. He has
asked me for a pardon end quote, which he didn't
say whether you'd consider it or not.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
But pretty interesting.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I wish the judge maybe would have heard this before
the sentencing last Friday, I mean, because you know, didn't
he did. He write a letter to the judge saying,
I've learned my lesson. I'm so sorry, but you learn
that maybe you're not getting a parton.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
I mean that's a hard no, right, it should be
a hard no on that.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yeah, seems about right.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Okay, Yeah, Hey, guess what.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Not only is today Taco Tuesday, but it's National Taco Day,
which it was previously always October fourth, but last year
they changed it so it always falls on the first
Tuesday of October. Perfect yeah, which there are multiple places
that are having some specials today. For instance, according to
the web, Rocos Tacos and Tequila Bar Tampa and Sarah

(04:30):
two bucks off all tacos and seven dollars marks and
seventeen dollars pictures.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
You gotta watch your taco to tequila ratio on that.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
By the way, just say you know, Taco Bells offering
some soft tacos for a buck. Looks like most Southwest
Girl's got two dollars single tacos.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Fuzzies.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Taco Shop apparently has dollar tacos, which I gonna know.
When it comes to tacos, what's the absolute worst taco topping.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I mean, I've seen some relish on the taco. To me,
is weird you guys didn't know the relish on the
taco because I just don't get it.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Yeah, sometimes, depending on it's not necessarily the hot dog relish,
but a different kind of that, like for me onions, no,
no go, I can't do that, or.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Black Collision Association of America. Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna go
ahead and go with lettuce.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Lettuce, it gets soggy and warm and gross disgusting.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
I think it depends on the lettuce for sure, for sure.
But one thing, I don't mind pineapple. But it's not
like every type of taco, like the certain like you know,
pork carnda ones, A little bit of pineapple on there,
that's not bad.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
If I mess up my tequila to taco ratio, I'll
go with pineapples on that.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
And it's like it turns into a day drinking thing
after that. Right for real? What do you guys?

Speaker 2 (05:48):
