Speaker 1 (00:01):
Thank you, ma'am.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I'm going for in the morning Quickie on ninety a
rock brought to you by Ford. All Right, we got
a wet and rainy weekend in store for us this
weekend with scattered thunderstorms tonight, Tomorrow night, Saturday night, Sunday.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Night, and Labor Day. All right, can we just mute
your mic? Nope, meet the rain. I am in control
at highs.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Gonna be in nineties with those heat index values eclipsing
the upper nineties, maybe even some more triple digits.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Nice steamy rain.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Yeah, we're just gonna let that ride. So right now,
it's eighty one degrees at our Feathers Sound Studios. Good morning,
good morning, right now.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yay, so enjoy why you can, thanks producer acts.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Sorry, So there's a devastating mass shooting that happened yesterday
at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
That's just terrible. It's terrible.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
It is terrible, and honestly, that word isn't even strong
enough for this. Two young children have passed, seventeen others
were injured during a mass marking the first week of school.
The victims an eight year old and ten year old
who were fatally shot when that gunman in his early twenties,
fired dozens of rounds through church windows at the kids

(01:20):
and shippers sitting in pews. Fourteen of the injured victims
were children, with too currently in critical condition. The gunman
did die at the scene from a self inflicted gunshot wound,
and the gunman's mother appears to have previously worked at
that church where the shooting took place. The school does
serve students from pre K through eighth grade, which the

(01:44):
community in Minneapolis, I mean, while they're just starting this
long process of healing, I can only hope that they
find strength in each other at this time. That's what you.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Gotta do, you know, turn to your person on your left.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Of course, our deepest sympathies go out to everybody that
has been affected by this tragedy, and thank goodness for
the first responders, which.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
You never want to be called into that situation, but
thank god they're ready, thank god they're prepared.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Yeah, thank you everybody that is a first responder.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Meanwhile, here in Saint Pete's, residents say that they're still
being hit with water bills that they can't explain.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Sometimes in the thousands, oh Jesus thousands, thousands.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Oh long, are your showers well? And that's the thing.
There's things that people aren't even home.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
There's vacant homes that are all of a sudden being
hit with ten thousand water bills that can't be explained.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
The wet bandits well.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
The city Council is now taking up the issue, and
the Florida Doge has ordered the city to turn over
years of utility raid studies is part of a broader audit.
City records show nearly seven thousand water bill adjustments just
since last fall, including corrections for overreads, estimated bills, and
delayed charges. The city Council is expected to take up

(03:01):
the water water meter issue at its meeting next week,
and DOGE has not said when it's audit will be complete.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
That's terrible.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I think someone is just running around turning the water
on in all these places.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
No, I don't know if it's from old pipes, some
sort of leaks that are happening under who knows, a
lot of different stuff. Hey, the meter guy's drunk, Superstar
Florida or not Florida, possibly in the future.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Just reading it wrong the entire time.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
One thing we do know follow up boy releasing a
twentieth anniversary edition of their breakthrough album From Under the
Cork Tree.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Now I had that one on a Burt CD. Sorry guys,
haven't it?

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Well?

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Guess what?

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Now you got the chance to buy this new one.
The new addition will be dropping October seventeenth. That includes
it's a remastered collection with previously unreleased alternate.

Speaker 1 (03:49):

and a whole lot more, including a three LP deluxe box,
a two CD deluxe box, and digital versions. There's also

Bumping banging, something else that's banging.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Hopefully opportunity on your door for Saturday to win a
nine fifty million dollar jackpot as nobody won.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
The power Ball last night. Oh it was last night.
It was last night. I forgot to buy my tickets.
There was no grand.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Prize winner, but congratulations to the tickets. There were two
of a couple of them. That were worth two million
bucks that were sold in Ohio, Virginia, and Mississippi, as
well as million dollar winning tickets sold in New York, Virginia,
and Arizona.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
No Florida winners. No Florida winners. Saved my money on
that one. Hopefully that'll change. On Saturday. It was a
winning ticket sold in Tampa, Tampa Bay. Let's go. I
need that money to send a kid through college, don't we?

Speaker 4 (04:59):
All?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
You and me both all of it?

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Hey, heads up, if you've got Gmail, Google is now
warning it's two and a half billion Gmail users to
change their passwords because what there's a significant amount of
successful intrusions by hackers. Google is advising you to be
a high alert for suspicious activity and to add extra
security measures like two factor authentication, which I was just

(05:24):
trying to do it.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Definitely don't make it easy to make that happen, that's
for sure.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
I don't have two factor authentication. If you want in
on it, I have thirty seven thousand emails in my
box right now.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Thirty seven thousand, thirty seven.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Thousand, so you can hack away suit. What is all
subscription stuff? For't even asked for it. I'll junk. It's
my junk email. So that's the one you get out.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
That's where it all goes. So I'll give it out
to the hackers. You want it, take it free for
the take kids.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Oh you are awesome. People took somebody's home, took over
at aka squatters.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
And now this French homeowner by the name of Maria's
facing up to seven years in prison and one hundred
and sixteen thousand dollars fine after she took back her
own property from the non paying squatters when the squatters
went on vacation. See she reclaimed her house after the
occupants refused to pay rent for several months and the

(06:19):
authorities wouldn't intervene, which we see scenarios like that happen
in here in Florida from time to time.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
I don't understand why people do that. How it's legal
messed up? Man, It doesn't make any sense. Like, yeah,
you can shoot somebody for walking into your house and
you tell them not to. Yeah, but you can't physically
go remove somebody who's living in your house rent free.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yeah, explain that one. They haven't happening in France too,
And guess why I get it. She found out that
they were going on vacation. So that's when she went in,
changed the locks and emptied the house of the squatter's belongings,
even selling some of those items at a garage sale
to try and recover unpaid rent and utility bills.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
She's been having a fork over all the time for
that should right, like if you and they left the house.
So at that point they've left the situation, they're not
paying rent. They evicted themselves.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Well here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
They returned from vacation called police filed charges against her
for burglary and unlawful eviction.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
And they won. Oh my god, they won. They won.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
This country's his serious criminal charges for self help evictions
and is now caught up in lengthy court proceedings, facing
insanely severe penalties more than the people who occupied.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Our property without paying rent for months. How messed up
is that?

Speaker 1 (07:34):
I would love to be on the jury for that case.
Can I can? I like volunteer myself, I know France,
in France, I mean, I'll.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Get a dual passport, dual citizenship if you just let
me be on the jury.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
I would love to see you on the jury for
that jury. Yeah, right? Can we all be a part
of that. One want to help that lady out throw
the book at him.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
You want to be on the jury to drop your
thoughts on it. You could be on the jury of
