Speaker 1 (00:01):
Time for heyja in the morning, quickie on ninety a
rock brought to you by bar to Ford. Good right,
Otherwise the rain should be coming off the gulf for
just a little bit longer here about it the next
hour and then you got cloudy skies, temperatures drop low
fifty six coming up later on tonight. And then you
got temperatures seventy seventy four, seventy six and more rain
(00:22):
again on Saturday, possibly possibly a rainy home game for
your Tampa Bay Buccaneers versus the Saints. But we'll keep
your eye on that.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Oh I hope not. But otherwise it's still gonna be
a good time rain or shine, right, especially at that
ninety eight rock and tailgate. Come get your tickets nightyeightrock
dot com. Hey, heads up. Tampa Bay City Council is
trying to crack down and people riding bikes and he
bikes too fast or even carelessly on the popular paths
like the Riverwalk and Base Shore Boulevard. Now they just
(00:54):
approved the first step of a new role that would
give police and park staff the ability to up reckless
riders and even you know, offer them with a fine
of twenty five dollars for the first one. Now, essentially
they want people to slow down and be safe, but
really they want more enforcement to be about the warnings
and safety rather than hitting people with huge tickets. Here's
(01:17):
the thing. It's not in effect right now, so don't
worry about it. They still need one more vote to
become official. But two down, one to go. Looks like
this could be a thing.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Can we see a high speed bike chase?
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Oh gosh, I hope so. Honestly, I feel like it
just needs to be all the way around though, because
you see that a lot with walkers. There's so many
rude walkers and stuff on there, people that take up
the entire pathway and then don't bother.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
It's like walkers are not without fault.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
No, they're like jump in the river to get around me.
It's insane. They're not, No, they really aren't. But that's
not the only places where you could see some price increases.
Heads up, The TSA has announced that if you show
up to the airport without a real ID compliant driver's
license that's the one with a little star on it,
or another acceptable form of ID like a passport or
(02:06):
Global entry card, you're gonna have to pay a fee
if you still want to fly now. This is a
new rule that kicks in. Luckily, you guys still get
a little bit of time left. It kicks in February
first of next year.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Good.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
But if you don't have that acceptable form of ID,
you're gonna be charged forty five dollars now. They say
the fee cover is a trip through the new identification
Identity verification system called TSA confirm ID, which they used
biometrics and background checks to confirm who you are. You
can pay online ahead of time, which is are recommended,
(02:40):
but if you pay at the airport, they warned that
the extra streaming process could cause delays of up to
thirty minutes additional so you could miss your flight, so
keep that in mind. They also say paying the fee
does not guarantee that you'll be cleared to fly, and
that fee is non refundable.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
It's cool seeing big show go through the airport the
other day, I was going there, big shows like sitting there.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Oh nice, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
You didn't really need an ID. Hi was the big show? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:08):
No way? Which the forty five dollars feet it's not
a one time pay all. It only covers a ten
day travel window, so if you're going somewhere for even
more extended time, be prepared to fork out more cash.
But once again that's only for anybody that doesn't have
that real id get it. So, Birmingham, England is set
(03:28):
to pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne tomorrow in celebration of
his achievements. The Deputy the Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councilor
ken Wood, is going to posthumulously present the Lord Mayor's
Award to Ozzy uh The award will be accepted on
behalf of his family members. The Osbourne's will be in
(03:48):
attendance tomorrow, which would have been Ozzie's birthday. They did
comment saying, quote unquote, we were deeply touched to receive
this award in honor of Ozzy. He was so loved
by the people of Birmingham, so it's great to come
back and see the impact he had in his hometown
and how he continues to inspire generations of Brummies and
fans across the world. I would like to thank the
(04:09):
Lord Mayor for this special recognition.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
And maybe recognition, recognition and recommendation, maybe to be knighted,
that'd be great.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
We keep trying to make that happen last week.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
I mean, damn, that'd be really cool. Nice Sharon, Yeah,
there you go.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
I don't know if it's gonna happen with this king,
but I imagine maybe one of the other ones down the
road might make it happen now. And finally, a sixty
seven year old man in China started experiencing a dominal
pain and bloating about a month ago, and his doctors
ran some scans and that's when they noticed, uh, something odd.
There was a foreign object in his stomach, but they
(04:49):
couldn't figure out what it was, so they performed an
emergency procedure, but had trouble getting it out because well
of its smooth, slippery exterior.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Hmmm.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
When the guy was shown images of the object shape,
he figured it out thirty years ago he was out
drinking when you get this, swallowed a plastic lighter on
a dare. He assumed that it passed through his system,
but surprised thirty years later.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
I don't assume that that one it did not.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
The doctors were eventually able to remove it during an endoscopy,
but they had rab something around it first to make
it less slippery, but once it was removed. They saw
that had been corroded by stomach acid, but it still
had gas inside and it still works.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
There you go, Hey man, it's gonna be a holiday commercial.
He's lucky they got that up. Can you imagine passing
that accidentally flipping the lighter on when you're passing that,
bad boy gases.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
I am just there's so many questions on this. I
don't wow, he's got a purpose. I'm glad he's okay.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
I just elst. Then he assumed that he came out.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yeah, that was one of the questions.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Yeah, you check it every time you went. Yeah, I
swallowed this lighter, and I mean I assumed I got
it out, but you never know. There feel smarter now
there you go, feel great about yourself, do you.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
That's why he's here, so we all know you swallow water,
check yourself all right, check yourself toilet all right? Guys?
Speaker 1 (06:20):
