Man Kidnaps Himself To Get Ransom Money

A man in Nigeria was arrested for kidnapping himself and then trying to extort money from his family for his "safe return."

twenty nine year old man named Bellow Aziz is now
facing charges why for trying to kidnap himself. How basically,
this man staged his own kidnapping so he could extort
money from his family.

Police say he craft at a false abduction report trying
to make his relatives pay a ransom. The thing is,
he asked his father in law for half a million
dollars and then the next day, after his father in
law turned him down, he supposedly got kidnapped.

The people who kidnapped him wanted, yes, half a million
dollars for his safe return. Instead of the family paying
for his safe return, they called the police and he
was arrested.
