And according to Dr. Rebecca Trotsky, there is a correlation between someone’s socio-economic status and addiction – add to that the mental health stressors of the Covid-19 pandemic, clinics and counselors have become overwhelmed. Trotsky is the Director of Addiction and Community Medicine with the Los Angeles County/USC Medical System.
