Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is deeper in the din with dangerous date. A
lot of people in the South like the hype their
Southern hospitality, but it doesn't sound like a lot of
people are thrilled to visit the South. In a new
report of the ten friendliest States in America, compiled travel
data from domestic and international visitors, social media, plus equality

(00:21):
and happiness scores, and how welcoming they are. In the end,
Hawaii is number one, followed by New Jersey, which is
a little surprising, New York, California, Nevada, Massachusetts, Arizona, Illinois, Utah,
which calls itself the friendly State by the way on
their license plates, and Virginia. Unfortunately, they did not say
how the other forty states were ranked or who the

(00:44):
least friendly state was, but in a separate poll they
found New Jersey is one of the rudest states to tourists,
New York, Massachusetts, Nevada among the ten rudest to tourists
as well, even though a couple of those made the
nicest list. I don't know, I would disagree. May they
didn't include all the factors, or maybe they did their
study half heartedly, but there's something to be said about

(01:06):
North Dakota and Ice and Minnesota and Ice deeper in
the Daylight saving time is over, at least for now,
and there's a good thing about technology making everything smart.
A lot of the clocks change themselves. Unless you're like me,
you still had a bunch of clocks you had to
physically turn back. Still, most of Americans are over the
time changing madness. According to a recent poll, fifty four

(01:29):
percent of Americans would love to see the clock change
done away with for good. Forty percent would keep it.
But according to reports, supporting time changes is at its
lowest level in history. A poll three weeks ago, only
twelve percent of people support a clock changing system. A
few years ago, government was going to put us top
to it. Mostly you bipartisan support on both sides, But

(01:51):
like several other bells, kick it around Congress, nothing gets done,
nothing will push it through for what it's worth. Most
of us the holdouts, clinging to the joy of clock
changes in the middle of the night twice a year.
The issue is whether or not permanent time would be
later summer hours or earlier winter standard hours. You really

(02:12):
can't choose per state. That would create a huge cluster. Generally,
the public is divided. In the latest poll, fifty six
percent of Americans favorite daylight savings time year round, will
forty two percent prefer standard time. Of course, North Dkota
passed a lot to change it, but they put that
on hold because Minnesota did not, and it would just

(02:33):
create too much confusion for people who live between the states.
And I just think they should just do away with it,
just be done. It's just not a smart thing to do.
They've shown, they've proven that it's not good for people's
health to change the times. To me, they can. For
