Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is deeper in the din with dangerous deed. So
as being angry a real thing? You know you get
that feeling. Maybe you skip breakfast, didn't have time for lunch.
Now you're getting more and more mad, the hungry or
you get. Yes, it's real, and most of it boils
down to your gut brain axis. It's a busy communication
between the stomach and your brain. Imagine a steady stream

(00:21):
of text between two friends. When you're hungry, your stomach
sends the text feed me, feed me to your brain
and if you don't respond fast enough, those texts get
more and more frequent. Now drops your blood of sugar
too makes you more angry and which can produce more
stress hormone cortisol. When you feel less hungry, you have
the good hormone serotonin. Ninety percent is produced in the gut.

(00:43):
All of that and your brain makes you act like
a toddler that you missed the nap. So how do
you prevent getting angry? Well, according to an expert, the
best five food groups to snack on when you want
to avoid being angry crunchy vegetables, carrots, celery cucumbers, high
and insoluble fiber, slows digestion. Chickpeas, Greek kyogurt, berries, and
almonds also making the lists. So those keep you from

(01:04):
being angry? I don't know. I think I'd be more
angry if that's all I had to eat deeper in
the two. Well, even if you don't do anything to
celebrate Halloween, you probably have to admit it's a pretty
spooky time of year. So what creeps you out? A
survey of three thousand Americans, only three percent of people
claim to be literally fearless. That means ninety seven percent
of people are spooked at least buy something. They gave

(01:26):
people common fears and asked them to rate their discomfort
level and then map the results by state. The number
one fear is death, highest fear factor in seventeen states,
including Washington State, California, Nevada, Colorado, Texas, Ohio, New York, Tennessee, Florida,
and Minnesota making that list. Number two fear is heights.
It was most common in eight states. Number three was snakes,

(01:49):
common in six states. Number four public speaking and enclosed spaces,
both carrying four states each. Number six fear tie between
failure and spider's failure. Most upsetting in Louise in Kentucky,
while people in Massachusetts and New Mexico have a zero
tolerance for spiders. Interesting enough, ghosts and spirits were an option,

(02:09):
but they were only number one in one state, and
that would be Montana. Apparently there wasn't a consensus of
any fears in five states Alaska, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wyoming,
and North Dakota. Apparently we don't have any fears, not
any consensus afears anyway. For what it's worth, people were
asked if you'd be willing to face your biggest fear
for twenty four hours in exchange for one thousand dollars.

(02:31):
Twenty four percent of people said they'd be willing to
embrace their fears for the cash, thirty three percent only
if they were guaranteed safety, twenty seven percent flat out
declinent I'm not going to do it, and sixteen percent
said I would need to think it over. You know.
Heights was one of the things. I'm not bothered by heights,
but probably my biggest fear with too. Again for another
