Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Steber in the Den with Dangerous Day. Well,
today is National Face Your Fears Day. One way to
celebrate is take a road trip to some of the
country's creepiest places. A website put together the Spookiest Places
in America, not because of anything that happened there, just
because of their name alone. They came up with a
good one pretty much for every state. Some of the

(00:21):
list include Alabama's Spooky Hollow Road, Deadband Lake in Alaska, Skullmason, Arizona,
Witchardville in Arkansas, Colorado's Cannibal Plateau, Satan's Kingdom State Park
in Connecticut, and Florida's Coffin Patch. Some of the other
notable ones include Illinois Bloody Gulch Road, Mains, Massacre Pond,
Montana's dead Men's Gulch Burn, Death Wash in New Mexico.

(00:44):
For Minnesota, it was Castle Danger and North Dakota Knife River. Also,
CNN did a list of the three spookiest cities in
the US, and they mentioned because of their history and
what happened there. They include Savannah, Georgia, Salem, Massachusetts. In
New Orleans, Louisiana Spookiest places in the US. You know,

(01:05):
I think just coming to work is scary enough? Deeper
in the two olive you already boughtcher Halloween candy? Are
you already regretting it? A new poll by CV has
found the average of family that stocks up on candy
early will eat their way through their entire stash not once,
but twice before they make it to Halloween. One in
four said they've had years where they've had to restock
three times or more, so waiting another week or two

(01:27):
might be a good call. Fifty five percent said they
usually run out and buy more candy at the last second,
no matter what. Other stats about Halloween from this pole
include sixty two percent considering themselves Halloween people, forty three
percent will go all out. When asked what Halloween makes special,
top responses include candy, costumes, fall atmosphere, and spooky vibes.

(01:48):
The average person will spend just under five hours thirty
minutes putting together a costume. Hear and makeup will take
the longest. Forty three percent had to run out last
minute to grab some finishing touches for their costume, and
half of people who decorate their house think they have
the best decorations on the block. Not everybody's handing out candy,
though forty percent of people will give trick or treaters

(02:08):
a non food item. Have something on hand for backups
for kids with allergies. Fidget toys, friendship bracelets, small stuffed
animals are all popular choices this year, and I guess
if you want to get your house egged toothbrushes. To
me again for another episode of Deeper in the Den
