(00:07):
Welcome in the ninety seven one TheFreak does the dart Bag Culture Hour TC
Fleming here with my normal co hostJordan George Richardson sidelined and the continuing kidney
stone related issues. Great. Itseems like this is the worst of it.
I feel like listening to his descriptions, it's not getting better. It

(00:30):
sounds like pure hell. We gotMegan Fleming in for him. Megan Cortina
signs as we did the same lastname because she's my wife, right,
what everyone dreams of? What hasI seen a show he's been able to
never leave each other's side. Yeah, but when you're married, you just

(00:52):
want to be with that person asmuch as possible you can. Yeah,
all the time. If they takeso much as a solo bathroom trip hurts.
I don't really have that feeling, but you know that's you. You
do you. Did you have anythingmore to say about Ariana Grande? Not
really, it was it was justrolling through all the gossip topics. Yeah,

(01:14):
no, I was. I wasgonna say that. It kind of
leads me into the other uh divorcethat was happening of Sofia Vergara and I
think it's Joe Magliano. Maybe youwere whatever I mentioned that, did you
see that she's getting divorced from herhusband? You were like, oh,
you don't know about Joe Magliano. And now now that we got the big

(01:34):
lights of the radio show, it'sI think it's Joel. Hey, I'm
I won't pretend like I'm washing infront of you. He's from Magic Mike
only Yeah, alright, not verygood, but he is one. He's
just like a really good looking dudewith the hot bod. You know.
Okay, that's kind of the claimto fame there. But I was just

(01:55):
gonna kind of tie tie a ribbonaround this topic, just kind of in
in the conversation of them, oflike Arianna Grande and Dalton Gomez getting divorced
and saying we're just two different peopleone of the things. And I wanted
to read it just because I thoughtyou would get a kick out of it.
Yea, just the like the reasonfor the divorce was just saying he's
a big kid. He loves playingdungeons and dragons, he loves wrestling,

(02:17):
He's all about video games, superheromovies, comic books, going to concerts,
a huge NFL fan. It's likeisn't that every guy? Like,
why are we acting like that's like, this is the reason why she couldn't
be with this monster? Yeah, yeah, Yeah, he's just such a
nerd doesn't want to go you know, like, I'm just that's that's him

(02:38):
the big I want to Like Iread between the lines that a little bit,
and it just sort of sounds like, well, he insisted upon being
himself and a famous one I wouldbe able to determine who he was.
Yeah, And and in the articlesI was reading, he was like Sophia
would get angry about the littlest thingsand she would blow up, and you
know, he would just try andmake it better. Just sounds like every

(03:00):
guy going through a turbulent relationship. But then you know, on Sophia's side,
there was a thing of him beinglike he wanted a family, he
wanted to have kids. She's fiftyone years old and she has a thirty
year old son. Yeah, Andonce again we get into the like how
like you know, oh, wewere two different people. It's like,

(03:20):
this is very clearly you guys gotmarried later in life, so there's going
to be some compromises. But you'renot having this discussion prior to the nuptials.
Yeah, I think that that'd bea that'd be a huge thing.
They did sign a contract prior tothe nuptials. Yeah, And I don't
know how I feel about that, but I do know that she is trying
to get it like held up becauseI don't know. It's a little confusing

(03:43):
to me. I thought the wholepoint of making it was that it will
be held up. Yeah, thatthen once he gets time to the divorce,
they're like, oh, no,that's invalid because there are some people
that are saying that they were havingto sign prenups under duress or under stress,
like not like fully wanting to doit themselves. And so if there
was, Yeah, no one wantsto give up getting half of the fortune

(04:06):
of someone much richer than you.Yeah, but I'm telling you what I
heard, just telling you what Iheard. How rich would you need to
be? Like, certainly, ifyou're a billionaire, you wouldn't want to
just give someone five Like, Ijust don't think that a billion you would
care? Like, if you're gonnahave to give up half a billion,
is there is there then arranged thatyou do care? I mean, I

(04:28):
guess a full billion, like allof it two billion, then giving up
one billion would be a problem.I'm just saying I think there's a lower
number, like if you only hada million dollars, and notice if you
gave away five hundred thousand dollars.Yeah, And I just don't know if
there's a certain part of you thatis doing it, like to get back

(04:48):
of the person, or you don'tthink that you're going to have a successful
career after separating from that person,so then you think you're going to need
the money. It's not like I'malways confused by people who don't have kids
asking for spousal support. But that'swhen they're not like one of them is
clearly like not working. Like youknow, I think Kevin Costner's wife needs

(05:09):
spousal support. I don't know whyshe needs so much, but you know,
he's he's got something to say aboutthat. But in the thing of
like two working actors fairly successful andis it that with the prenup it's just
the prior income or is I wasright and I was under the impression sign
pup where it says any money thatI keep making, that's just my money,

(05:30):
yeah, or money that I makewithin the time that we're married,
that is up for being split, and I think that might have been uh
some of like the splitting hairs herethat Sophia was doing. I uh,
one of my like my friend whogot divorced earliest May. It kind of

(05:53):
made me start thinking about the waysthat the divorce laws differ from state to
state. And I guess you wouldsome may suspect that Texas would be hostile
towards women under in all situations asa state governmental matter, But I think
that it is better for the womanplaces like here, because it's you would

(06:14):
think that, like you know thatlike your your classic blue states would just
love women and want to make surethat they, you know, just won
all these battles. But it's actuallymore of like a well, of course
she can make it on her own. She's a woman, she's a human,
the same as Hugh or it's likemaking more money than he is.

(06:34):
Judges here are like, she don'teven know multiple kit, how is she
going to be a that's a shot? Give buy on her own. You
gotta give her half half of wouldYeah, in our case, there's not
much the house. I mean, that's kind of what I'm saying, is
that I think it depends a coupleto couple, and I think in most
situations now for whatever reason, butcertainly there is a situation where you would

(06:59):
try where you wouldn't say not aprenupe Yeah, definitely, yeah I should
have. You know, you don'tmind signing this one that I've prepared,
I am currently under dress. Letlet it, let the courts the records.
Yes, yeah, I don't know. Man, Like I I get
it. But it's it's another oneof those like legal things where sort of
this makes sense, but like alsonot at all, like everyone's under dress

(07:20):
when they're signing something. Yeah, and unless it's two really successful people,
they're like, oh, of coursewe must sign this. That's where it's
like the person with the we alwaystalk about that. A lot of times
relationships is about who's holding the leverage, not not necessarily like a malicious leverage,
but just in the case of like, Okay, well I do this,
this and this, what are youdoing? Like what are you contributing?

(07:42):
And so in a situation like that, I would think getting married to
someone, your finances are probably inquestion, and you talk about like what
debts you have, and you know, to just do this with two people
who are somewhat famous. I justthink it's a little silly to think that
he'd like, no, I don'tfeel comfortable doing this. It's like you
have a high paining attorney. I'msure that, like they've talked with you

(08:03):
about like whether or not it's fair. There's a lot more people that I
think are signing prenups that are notin uh, in situations like these two
that probably should have a little bitbetter legal representation kind of going over these
documents. Yeah, yeah, backto the business of the quotes, you

(08:24):
know, like how these articles getwritten and what like, you know,
you were saying of just the they'retalking this up to the fact that he
likes to watch NFL football, andlike I I it's like I said,
there's no way to answer them,so you might as well. It's not
like any one answer is more ridiculousor less ridiculous than the other. Like
people want to be able to saysomething, you know, like if you're

(08:46):
just in an idle conversation with asemi stranger and it's like you see that's
Sophia of agara thing. It soundslike he just loved these video games,
you know, like then at leastvideo games something, you know, like
you needed an answer, they gaveyou one. It doesn't really matter if
it's satisfying or not. Yeah,And I think too, it's like it's

(09:07):
a little bit refreshing. I thinkfrom the lay person who's like, wow,
their husband does like video games too, they're always watching NFL football.
Maybe I should get divorced my husbandplays video games. But like I do
like thinking about the people who comeup with like the people who are paid
money to come in and they're like, all right, tell me the situation,

(09:31):
and then they hear all of itand they're like, Okay, what
we're gonna say is that he likesto play video games, and they reconcilable
differences video games. I just theI wonder. I bet that there's some
people that aren't worth any money atall, the charge a lot that do
that, you know, like thatit's all like I'm saying, there's no
there's no such thing as a satisfyinganswer this question. And it doesn't really

(09:54):
seem to me like you should payfor the advice of someone to come in
and be like just tell me likesthe NFL a lot. But I bet
there also are like your top prprofessionals that come in and like you're just
blown away by how good of ajob they do, and I just want
to know what that looks like.I want to see it. Yeah,

(10:15):
it would be interesting just being likeand also tell me all the things that
he's done that's like really upset you. You got photos of it, you
got you know, text that wecan pull up, like. I think
that that's probably where they have thatmeeting with their lawyer. Now I do
from a level of the sopranos.I always thought it was good whenever the
X is trying to call all thelawyers ahead of time, like the top

(10:39):
five lawyers, just so you cansay, you know, oh we already
talked to him, say i'd bea conflict of interest. I think that's
a really baller move. It seemsthe disturbing to hear you say that baller
once again. Well once like Isaid once again, like the looking of
the donut, like the having youknow, doing whatever you want, like
because you're thinking about yourself. Idon't tell technically or usually think in those

(11:01):
terms. I'm thinking about what everyoneelse is going to think about a decision
I make, And so the typeof people I can be somewhat envious of
it. I don't think that it'sright one hundred percent of the time,
but there is a part of methat's like, dang, they really don't
care. I mean, it reallyhad a delatarious effect on Shiv and Tom's
relationship. I think that Tom didthat, yeah, but I think that
I think Shiv was also a littleupset that she didn't think of that first.

(11:24):
In fact, like when things weregoing rocky, she should have done
that from the get go if shewas smart, m yeah, but I
mean she didn't. So even ifshe was thinking about it, like,
she didn't cross that bridge well, and she didn't ask the guidance of her
dad because her dad's the one hetold Tom to do that. Yeah,
but she already knew what he wouldhave done. Whenever Tom did it,
she was like, oh, he'sdoing the dad thing. Yeah. I

(11:45):
mean, I'm just saying she hadthe same opportunity to do it, yeah,
and she didn't, which reveals somethingabout each of their character. So
who are you going for Tom orChiv? I mean, I think it's
pretty complicated. I'd say, onbalance that she was more cruel to him
than he was to her. Butfor sure, there's a lot in both
directions. Yeah, I just Iimagine a relationship fix her, Like not

(12:13):
in the sense that they're fixing therelationship, but in the sense that they're
crafting a winnable pr strategy after thebreakup of the relationship. They've got like
a Winston Wolf like gravitas, youknow, just everything they say, you
just that's what so much of thisstuff is about. It's about trust.
If you can walk into a roomand everyone in that room trusts you,
maybe even before they've met you, just based on your reputation, you can

(12:35):
get a lot of things done inthat situation because so much of leadership is
getting the people to move in onedirection and like just be able to like
listen to a person yea, yeah, yeah, yeah. That we've got
one voice, you know, Likeand that voice isn't gonna have to take
time to bicker with the other voicesabout what the actual best courses. We're
gonna all the time that would bewasted on that, We're just gonna wipe

(12:58):
that away, and we're going tolisten to one person who knows what they're
doing, and everyone's just going toexecute that plan. Like we've been watching
the chase. It's an amazing triviashow and the it all builds up to,
like the final round is there thegroup of contestants get to answer questions

(13:18):
as you know, all through whoevermade it through the earlier rounds can weigh
in together on what the answers tothese questions are. And then a person
who's like a game show expert, you know, one of the people who's
won on Jeopardy bunch of times, gets to then answer see if they can
answer that many questions in the sameor less amount of time, and if

(13:39):
they can, then the one personbeats the group of people and they get
to keep their money, and ifthe group of people so But you watch
the game and even the people whoare really good in the earlier rounds of
the game tend to get wiped outpretty easy by the final round of the
game. And I think it's becauseit's not advantageous to have more people because

(14:03):
the time is a factor. Soyou you want to be able to just
answer these questions quickly and not likebe looking at the person next to you
like do you think this is theanswer. And the biggest thing is just
whenever the one person knows they don'tknow it, they can pass, right,
and the group of people will wasteall kinds of time being like,
I'm not sure, what do youthink. I guess we should pass.
Maybe okay, yeah, let's pass. And so, you know, those

(14:28):
those situations where you can just havea single actor making these decisions and moving
quickly, it really allows you towin in certain situations. And if you
have the kind of pr person thatSophia Vagara must have. That although I
gotta say, I'm not seeing thequality of their work show up in these
articles, right because it's just sayingyeah, but imagining a good celebrity fixer

(14:54):
that just comes in. I thinkthat most of what they're doing is just
having handled these situations. That's fullyenough that people don't do a lot of
questioning them and just do executing ontheir planets. Yeah, it wasn't that.
Like in the Pam and Tommy movie, Pam had a lady that was
maybe it was getting her set upwith barbed wire and she went in there
and it was kind of like, you can't do this, like you can't

(15:15):
have your tape come out, likeyou need to tell me all all the
dirt. Yes, Like so we'reprepared, yeah, and then telling her
whether or not, like it's gonnait's gonna blow over or not. And
I think in that case like thatlady was probably a little bit out of
her league because she didn't know whatit was gonna do or didn't know like
the level of actor acting chops thatPam had, you know, like it's

(15:37):
kind of like she was fighting. She was fighting that battle for the wrong
person. Had it been like PaulGimatti, you know he like yes and
went on to be who has hebeen Franklin? Yeah, yeah, it
sounds right. Yeah, yeah,I didn't watch. I didn't either,
so I was surprised when, yeah, whenever you were able to pinpoint Paul
Gimatti, which of course it wasjust a guess. I just didn't know

(16:00):
that he had like a salacious life. Like I remember watching Ben and Me
in like third grade, and itwas about Ben Franklin in a cartoon mouse
and named Amos, and you thoughtthat was going to give you this straight
story. Yeah, Amos helped himwith the with the kite. Dude,
he got his little tail zipped bythe lightning. That mouse isn't even real.

(16:22):
Don't tell me that you're not you'renot going to good sources on this
information. That's that's the top ratedsource. Yeah, the Disney, the
Disney picture, Ben and Me orwhatever it was. Anyways, we're counting
down to Jake Paul nateds here onninety seven one the Freak It's their Bad
Culture Hour. We will continue nexton this station.
