Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome into Dumb and Dangerous, where we will be taking
a different style of dungeons and dragons. Thank you for
tuning in, and let's just jump right into it.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I'm Jimmy and I am the dungeon Master.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Hey, I'm Brandon. I'll be playing Sir Hogan. He is
literally just Hulk Hogan as a dwarf.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
Hi. I'm Elise. I'm going to be playing Larry the Satyr.
He is medium sized satyr at about five to eleven
in height and he's got brown hair.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
I'm Producer Blake and I'll be playing Hamnlik. I am
a tee fling that's about medium size. He's six foot.
He weighs roughly one hundred and eighty five pounds with
broken horns and dark blue skin.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
All right, we're going to open our story with our
three heroes, Larry hamlickin Sir Hogan. We are in the
Kingdom of Stream, which is a rather old kingdom and
its area has been a trife with warfare and secrecy
diplomacy for the last thirty forty years. Now. The current

(00:59):
key has taken a more diplomatic approach and has been
doing his best to unite his Kingdom with the other
duchies around to create what he views as a empire
that he wishes to have his legacy for. With our heroes,
that we open up at a camp in the Duchy

(01:22):
of Morrington, just a few hours outside of a nearby township.
This is a rather large camp made up of soldiers
and they are all under the command of the Prince
Prince Ike. There is a rather large bandit group who
has been a major issue for the Duchy of Morrington,

(01:43):
to the point of the King stepping in to make
a deal with them of gold and amnesty for the
bandits if they cease operations and disband. While this was
the job of the prince to handle, the King has
found that he has not done a very adequate job,
and so he is stepping in, and more specifically, he

(02:04):
is sending his favorite, his personal mercenary group, which includes
our heroes. They are being asked to deliver this gold
and chest to the bandits in order to make the

(02:25):
deal fall through go through. We light up in the camp.
It is about mid day. You guys know, it is
about a few hour trek to the bandit camp, but
you just need to meet the Prince outside of the
camp in order to get the chest to make a way.

(02:49):
Is there anything you all would like to do before
you head out?

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Where are we at?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
You're in the middle of the Millet Harry camp?

Speaker 3 (03:01):
All right?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
What's there?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Nothing too much. It's a very last minute camp that's
been set up with just within the last day or two.
There's not really much. There's not any games or anything happening.
It's just kind of soldiers on their post. Maybe there's
some drinking around, but for the most part it's kind
of quiet. Midday, I want to have a drink, all right,

(03:31):
Hamilick starts his day off before going off in this adventure.
He goes to just one of the groups standing around
and starts drinking along with them. What about the rest
of you?

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I also want to get a drink?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Okay, Larry, do you partake as well?

Speaker 4 (03:52):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
All right, haml Lick and Sir Hogan go and spend
some times with the souls drinking a little bit, just
try to ease tensions as they know they have a
long journey ahead of them. And as you guys are
drinking first a little bit, a commander comes up to
the both of you and says it is time to

(04:16):
go meet the prince.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
What's some here, chuckle nuts? I haven't finished my period.
I explained that to the guard thing and tell them
to calmly, wait, well, I finished this.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
That's what you've told me the last five to whatever.
All right, finished that drink and go meet the prince.
We need to get this ball rolling.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I'm with sir, chuckle nuts. I would also like to
finish my drink.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
You two finish your drinks?

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Did I ask for another one?

Speaker 2 (05:02):
As the soldiers look around trying to decide whether or
not they should pour you another, they look at the commander,
who gives them a stern look, and they decide his
best not to pour you another drink.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
And then I tell them it's for the road. It's
for the road. Oh yes, the road, ol, gotta have
a traveling beer.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
The commander nods and they offer to pour the beer
into your into your satchel.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Awesome on the way.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Then, all right, Larry, do you follow?

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Yep?

Speaker 2 (05:46):
All right? You all begin to make your way out
of camp, heading towards where you're supposed to meet the prince.
Just about a five minute journey. And as you get there,
you see the Prince with a small entourage of soldiers
with him. He is known to be rather hot headed.
He is still young, mid twenties, and let's say he

(06:13):
is not the most humble. It's about time. I thought
you were supposed to be here twenty minutes ago.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
We had to take a road out.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
And I like have it in my hand, and I
do like a little cheer.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
As long as this gets on. My father is going
to be late for this, So we have decided to
go ahead and send you along your way to go
make the deal with the bandits that work with you.
These guys, no, no, these these are my men. No,

(06:58):
you're going to take this chest full of gold. You're
going to go to the bandits. You are not going
to try to make a deal with them. The deal
has already been made. You just need to deliver. Is
this understood?

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Oh yeah, dude, Captain one question? What if we kill him?
Don't lame?

Speaker 1 (07:21):
What happens if we do make a deal.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
You.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
I cannot believe my father have chosen you, imbeciles.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
I could make a sweeter dale for you.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
You will go and deliver this chest, and that is all.
I hope you are all back here by nightfall.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Sir chuckle nuts.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
The soldier's approach with the chestny which one of you
takes it?

Speaker 3 (08:00):
The holster grabs it with his big burly arms.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
All right, you grab it just one handed. It's no
point hand for you the other hand, sir, that's a
proper holkster. All right. The Prince and his small entourage
head back towards the camp. You all already know the
route to get to the camp. Bend it camp. I

(08:28):
assume you all make way, yep, all right, you begin
making your trek is about a two to three hour journey.
Is there anything you want to do along the way
or just make your travel?

Speaker 1 (08:51):
I would like to start a what do you call it?
A see shanty?

Speaker 2 (09:02):
All right? How does this see shanty go?

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Can it be rock Star by Nickelback?

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Nickel Rock, Yeah, Nickel Rock Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
The famous barred absolutely so. He has getting all pumped up,
drinking the rest of your beer. Making way all right.
Like I said, after a few hours of travel, it's
a rather straightforward journey. There's only a few turns to

(09:42):
make along these roads. You all eventually make it to
the camp. And as you approach, what you know of
this camp is that it is at Creaking Rock Garrison,
which was a strategic stronghold back when Morrington was its
own independent state many many years ago. It was abandoned

(10:05):
a while ago and has been has allowed multiple bandit
groups to come in and out to take shelter. As
you approach, you do see the first thing you notice
is a large three story tower. It kind of overlooks
and it has definitely seen you coming for at least
a quarter mile away as you approach. As you get closer,

(10:28):
you can kind of see it is the tower. And
then behind it there is an L shaped building about
two stories high, with two large walls that kind of
connect on the end of each side of the building
towards the tower. However, after many many years, these towers
have become mostly rubbel, and there are two so there

(10:48):
are two large entrances into the courtyard, and you can
see that there are many bandits here. You see at
least two maybe three on top of the tower watching
you very carefully with crossbows. There are at least half
a dozen outside. They were obviously expecting you. Is there

(11:14):
anything you guys like to do as you approach, I
would like.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
To keep singing the sea shanty, and as we pass
each one try to get them to sing along with us, and.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Star Hokin's just kind of waving his empty road beer
around because he drank that like two hours ago, all right,
so waving it around.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
As they were expecting you, and they can see the
symbol on the chest. They are aware of who you
are and why you're here. Some of them are chuckling
and some hum along. For the most part they are
trying to keep their composure as they let you enter.
You entered into the courtyard and it's nothing too special.

(11:58):
There is a singular well in the corner near the
entrance of the building, and there are at least another
dozen bandits here, all hupnrize on you. You look up
and you see in the windows there are even some
with crossbows in there trained on you. They are very wary,

(12:20):
and as you approach you do see one who sticks
out very much so. He is about a six foot
eight half orc individual, bulking with two scimitars on each
side of his hip. Is there anything you like to
say as you approach.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
I want to sing louder him. I want to point
at him and sing and dance.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Sure enough, you get a chuckle out of him. This
is not what he was expecting. Oh, okay, this is
who we're dealing with. I take it to that chest
is full of the gold that we requested.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Yes, but we are here to make a new deal.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Okay, what is this new deal? What can be better
than a chest full of gold and a free pardon?

Speaker 1 (13:30):
We would also like two of you to join us.
What no, I want to start singing louder and doing
a cool hip motion while I dance and try to

(13:53):
convince them.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
All right, go ahead and just roll a performance check
for me.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
What would you like me to roll?

Speaker 2 (14:06):
So go on your character sheet and roll twenty yep,
and on your skills list, you'll go down to performance
and you'll click that when it's highlighted.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Okay, clicking it now, nothing happened.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
That's perception.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Oh wrong one, there we go.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Performance ooh ooh twenty two. They are enthralled by this.
They some of them begin like charity, you on a
little bit. They love this. This is not what they're expecting,
and they're having a great time with this. Some of
them are kind of murmuring to one another whether or

(14:48):
not that they would want to see about joining y'all
after all this. But for the time being the bandit leader,
while amused, does not seem to be moved in quite
the same way.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
What will it take?

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Just hand over the chest as let's get this over with.
You're a funny man. What's what's your name?

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Hand the lick? But you can call me ham.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Him all right?

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (15:26):
And you the one with the big arms? What's your name?

Speaker 3 (15:32):
So I set the money chest down and I put
my empty road beer mug on top of it, and
I start flexing my arms. I go the name sir Holkster.
You might have heard of me, old time gladiator, champion
of the ring, kind of famous.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Oh I vaguely remember you. Yeah, you were, You did
very well, but you know then the the incident happened.
But ah, yeah, no, no, no, it's fine, it's fine.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
He's a big deal.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Bingers can't fix And for you goat legs. Who are you?

Speaker 5 (16:16):
I'm Larry and I'm going to pick up the chest
and set it in front of the bandit king.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
All right, oh, thank you very much. Kind of motions
for his boys around him to pick it up and
open it, can't specs.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
I also take Sir Hogan's mug and give it back
to him.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
Thank you. I about to ask you about that.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
All right, everything seems to be in order forget that
you saw us here?

Speaker 1 (16:59):
Can we get some of that gold?

Speaker 2 (17:03):
No, but life didn't forget. I meant to mention. Almost
all of them are wearing masks in order to conceal
their identities. All of them except for the leader, who
is proudly showing his face. You don't recognize him at all.
But he would be the only one you'd be able
to recognize if you were to see him again. Can

(17:29):
And as this conversation has been happening, some of you
may have noticed there is like some yelling coming from
inside the building. And if you look over, you notice
that there are some prisoners who are being walked through.
A part of this deal is that the prisoners will
be released, but it won't be for another few days

(17:50):
and they are still getting their time put in.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
Do we know who these prisoners are are?

Speaker 2 (18:02):
You don't recognize any of them, and plus you can
only kind of see them out of the corner of
your eye. They're not looking directly at you. There's just
a few. There's mostly humans. Uh, there's two middle aged people.
There's one older gentleman who's kind of mumbling to himself.

(18:25):
There is a half work and an elf, but that's
all you can really make out as they walk pat
walk pat walk by. All right, this is this deal
seems to be done. I wish you all good luck.

(18:50):
How about a beer for the road.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
I like the sound of that.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
I like raise my mug to him, and I'm like,
what a great man.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
All right, boys fill up their mugs and give them
some rations for the for the journey back. They kind
of see them a little confused, but they do. So
they fill up your mugs. They give you a little
bit extra as well, and they give you enough rations
to last you a few days. Right, well, you boys,

(19:26):
maybe on your merry.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Way, can I try to kiss one?

Speaker 2 (19:36):
And so you just try to go up to one
and plant one right on the lips.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Yes, as a goodbye kiss, not like a you know
how the French do it where they kiss each other
on the cheek.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Do you warn them of this or do you just
go for it?

Speaker 1 (19:53):
I want to walk up slowly, like you know, uh,
and be like goodbye kisses and then do that.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
All right, hold on, let me check something. As you
just kind of approach, he kind of just freezes up
he doesn't know what you're doing. He looks over for
his leader, who's just kind of watching in amusement, and
you give your little goodbye kiss. He's like, uh, bye,

(20:29):
I didn't like that.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Can I also hug the leader as we leave?

Speaker 2 (20:36):
So you do that, and you immediately start to walk
over to the leader.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Yes, okay.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
As you begin to walk your way over, the boys
around him start to get a little bit more on guard,
kind of put their hands on their swords, and he
puts his arm out saying, I'm I'm good, I will pass.
Please get out of my sight.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
As you wish.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Larry's okay, Larry's gonna get going, Sir Hogan, are you
gonna go with?

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Yeah? I start to walk out with, you know, beer
in hands, both hands.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
All right, Well, it went fairly well, about average for
your group's kind of adventures. Always something goofy going on.
You begin to make your way back. It's being beginning
to hit late afternoon or early evening at this point.

(21:44):
If you keep trekking on, you should get back in
about two to three hours. You're just gonna keep going
the whole way.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
What time of day is it? I would say four
o'clock at the point, and does it get dark around seven?

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (22:04):
Oh, then I vote we keep trekking.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Is there anything of like of interest that we can
kind of see as we're walking?

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Not particularly you can you get the sense that this
location was chosen by this group because it is very
out of the way and not much sightseers would be
coming through either.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Okay? Yeah, I also would like to just keep trekking along.

Speaker 4 (22:34):
Yep, I'll keep trekking too.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
All right, you all begin making your way back. And
I should have asked earlier what kind of marching order
do we have here? You guys all walking side by side,
one in front of the other.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
I'm walking beside uh the hulk man.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
Yeah, we're like side by side, enjoying our road beers.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
And I'll walk behind him.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
I would also like to sing another sea shanty on
the way back.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
Oh what's this one?

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Pink Pony Club is the one I would like to
go with.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Oh, okay, it's beautiful by friar Rod.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Huh, yes, sir?

Speaker 2 (23:27):
All right, And how does this rendition go? If I may,
I'm curious.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
At the Pink Pony Club.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
So as he starts singing that, I kind of look
at it him, and I go this Pink Pony Club.
Is this a tavern of some sort?

Speaker 1 (23:48):
It's where the boys and girls can be queens.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
And it's one of them. And then I just kind
of keep drinking.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
What does that mean, sir to Sir Hogan.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
Well, Sir Hogan doesn't involve himself with the teeth flinks
like that's okay, but this one's all right?

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Lord? All right, you you enjoy your shanty on your
trek back down the rest of your alcohol, and let
me check real quick if I'm correct. Unfortunately, none of
you have a very high passive perception. No, so you're enjoying.

(24:45):
Uh you learn him like, well, he does get very
into these songs. He does not know very many, and
so he just sings the same one over and over again,
getting louder and louder to where what eventually he's just yelling.
There's no rhythm. Uh nope, nope, matching pitch. He's he's

(25:08):
just yelling the.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
Lyrics at the Pink Party Club.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
As you're all going and join your time, you do
hear this very loud growl out in front of you.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Is it in bushes or anything? Or is it just there?

Speaker 2 (25:31):
You don't see anything immediately.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Okay, do we know which direction it's coming from?

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Ahead of you along the trail.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
I'm gonna grab Ham and tell.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
Him to be quiet, Hamlick, do you listen?

Speaker 1 (25:57):
I would like to sing even louder please.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Okay, kind of just completely ignoring Larry's advice, start singing
even louder. Are you still walking?

Speaker 1 (26:10):
I'm gonna try to moon walk backwards.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
Okay, well I should ask are you moon moonwalking in
the direction of the trail?

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Correct? I'm still walking beside the hulk guy, but I
am trying to moonwalk backwards for a second.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Okay, Hogan, how do you respond to all this?

Speaker 3 (26:38):
So I've kind of had all my road beers down,
you know, they're all kind of empty. So I'm kind
of just kind of getting off that fun we just had.
And I'm like, mister horn Man, I think you might
need to stop.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Do you keep pace with him or do you let
him keep moonwalking forward?

Speaker 3 (26:57):
Yeah? I kind of keep pace with him still.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Okay, you all move up a little bit more. What
about you, Larry? Are you trying to keep it? Keep
keep up with them?

Speaker 4 (27:06):
I've stopped. I'm searching for the danger.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Well, Larry, go ahead, make a perception check for me.
Nine you're looking. You're trying to figure out where that
growl came from, and right whenever decide maybe there's maybe
I've made that up and there isn't anything, maybe just
some noise that we heard out in front of you.

(27:33):
Jumps out this very large animal. This is an owl bear,
and yes it is how it sounds. It is a
giant bear with the head of an owl and claw
and talents of an owl. You get the sense that

(27:57):
you have encroached upon its space and is definitely trying
to ward you off. However, it is blocking the path
and you do not know another route. What do y'all do?

Speaker 3 (28:19):
I would like to step forward of Hammelick and I
kind of pull my axe out and I say, don't worry, boys,
I fucked these things a time or two back in
the ring.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
That is true. Anything from Larry or Hamdlick, you can go.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Larry, I.

Speaker 4 (28:48):
Get some of my raptions out that the bandit King
gave me, uh huh, and I throw it at him.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Okay, I see you from where you are, do you
because you're about twenty ish twenty thirty feet behind your
companions at this point, do you try to catch up
with them? Yeah, okay, you just kind of run up
and you start just throwing the rations out in front.
Go and make a good make an animal handling check
for me. Thirteen. It's not too bad. You throw it

(29:20):
out and it definitely doesn't take you moving forward as
an immediate sign of aggression. One thing I would like
to know, Handlick. Honestly, you do not notice this thing
jump out. You are attempting to moon walk backwards and
stumbling a little bit. You're too focused on your dance
move to notice this giant creature has jumped out from

(29:40):
the brush.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Okay, then I walk into the whole command m and wait,
am I? Am I allowed to say what I'm doing?
Or do you got to say it?

Speaker 2 (29:55):
You're allowed to see what you're doing?

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Okay, I'm gonna say. I walk into the whole command
and I stumble.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Okay, Hogan, are you facing Hamlick or the owl Bear?

Speaker 3 (30:10):
I'm facing the owl bear right now with like hammer
in hand.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
Okay, go ahead, make a dexterity saving throw as Handlick
bumps right into behind you. Okay, deck stirity saving throw.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
Seventeen. Oh wait, oh, sorry, sixteen, and that's fine. You
do not trip over. You gotta go to your character
sheet real quick and fix something for you. Uh oh,
and check the embolden from your character sheets. You're not

(30:51):
getting those pluses.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
You're right, you're right, all.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Right, Yeah, you stand your ground, hamlic At this point
is whenever you finally turn around, you see this owl
bear that is stepping closer and closer, growling. It's puffing
up its fur feathers, both appearing to make itself look bigger. Oh,

(31:15):
encounter finder, you got maybe a few seconds before he
goes for an attack.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Okay, well, okay, well hamletlicks encountered one of these before.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
So what he would like to do is slowly walk up,
you know, puffing his chest and offering him food from
his hand and try to tant it.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Uh you drunkenly puff up your chest, pull out food.
Go ahead and make an animal handlings check at disadvantage
for me.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
Okay, you want me to roll it twice in the
lowest one.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
No, he rolls twice for you, so that will be
a natural one.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
That always happens.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
So you just stumble forward right up to him and
as you kind of you almost trip, but you kind
of you catch yourself, but you look up and you
see the albar get on its hind legs, roars at you,
and he's getting ready for the attack. Kind of go
ahead and add ask for everyone to roll initiative.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
Okay, just click initiative.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
Yes, he's not on the character sheet.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
Yes it is all right, not bad. We have roll
for the al will bear.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
X plus one.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Right, let me plug in the owl bear.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Am I still laying on the ground.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
You caught yourself enough to where you're not on the ground. However,
you are right in front of said owl bear. Okay,
so as we begin this battle, you guys are on
this center trail, surrounded by trees and brush, not much

(33:34):
else to go, but fourds are backwards and this owl
bear is ready to kill at the top, we got
at least or sorry, Larry, what would you like to do?

Speaker 4 (33:49):
So there's no point in trying to calm him down.
He's just angry.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
I mean, you can definitely try, but you have enough
since that it'll be very difficult to calm down this
fully grown owl bear at this point.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
Okay, I will take out my crossbow and shoot him.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
All right, You really pull out your hand crossbow, and
you go ahead and make a shot. Go ahead and
roll to a tech all right, thirteen does hit? Go
ahead and roll damage? Damn ten? That's pretty good. All right,

(34:39):
ten damage? Anything else you have to do with your turn,
that's it, all right. Up next is gonna be the
owl Bear. He's going to finish closing the distance between
himself and Hamlet, and since you're the only one right there,
he is going to make a both of his attacks

(35:00):
on you start with does a thirteen hit?

Speaker 1 (35:13):
It is not?

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Okay, he misses his bite. Here's his claw another thirteen, Yeah,
he misses both. You almost not quite drunken master your
way out of that, but it was not taking account
your taking your stumbling into account, and you were able
to barely dodge these giant pause in this giant beak

(35:36):
biting at you. All right, that's gonna end the owl
Bear's turn, Sir Hogan.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
All right, what was the button to moves at que?

Speaker 2 (35:46):
You just drag and drop your character. You can use
Q as you're moving to see how far.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
You are moving. Okay, I'm going to move up to
hamelick Man. I'm going to just use a normal attack
by ball.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
All right, go ahead and roll your attack. Ooh nice,
A twenty three will in fact hit. Go ahead and
roll the damage?

Speaker 3 (36:28):
All right?

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Seven damage? Pretty good. You guys are putting a bit
of a beatdown on this owlbear. Already? Anything else here
wanting to do with your turn?

Speaker 3 (36:41):
I think that's it. I kind of give like a
look to Hamelick and I go, isn't how it's stern Hamelick?

Speaker 2 (36:52):
All right, up next, Hamlick your go.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
I would like to use firebolt and aim at its face.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
All right, all right, you can use firebolt. Let me
look at that spart real quick. Make sure what does
it said? Do you roll to hit or is it? Yeah?
So you're going to roll to attack at disadvantage since
you are within five feet of the creature. All right,

(37:27):
that's gonna be a nine. So you're trying to get
your firebolt ready and you try to shoot it, but
with the bear kind of just getting all up in
your face, your arm kind of goes wide and you
miss the owl bear.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
Oh shoot there, el you what to do with your turn?

Speaker 1 (37:45):
Can I make another move? Or it only got the one.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
That was your action? So you have your movement and
bonus action left.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Okay, Well, I'm gonna back up ten.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Feet okay, just so you are aware. As you back up,
the albear does get an opportunity attack since you were
leaving his space. You know what, I'll stay, you'll stare
at there.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
Yeah, and then bonus action. What is my option for bonus?
I don't see a bonus action.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Well, if you can't find anything, let's just keep going
for now. And I don't think you really have anything,
to be honest, appecially at level three, So.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
I can't use dagger or hand crossbow or dart.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
No, since because you used your action to cast the spell.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
All right, then I'll just in my turn.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
All right, Larry, you are about twenty five ten Yeah,
we're about twenty twenty five feet from the albar and
twenty feet behind your friends.

Speaker 5 (38:54):
Okay, I'm gonna go up ten feet okay, and then
I'm gonna hit him with my light crossbow again.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
All right, go ahead and make another shot. A seventeen
will hit eleven damage. Man, you guys are getting good numbers,
thank you, except for having lake. But is there anything
else you want to do with your turn? Larry? Nope,

(39:27):
that's it all right? Up next is the owl bear
and taking the amount of damage it has. It is
still very angry and still very aggressive. It does, however,
start roaring and calling out almost it's a big it's
a mix between like a bear's roar and an owl's hoot.

(39:48):
It's it's very interesting, but is very loud, and it
turns its attention to Sir Hogan being right in his
face and dealing a good little the damage to him.
He's going to make two strikes at you. A ten
is going to miss. I assume.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
Ummm my armor class.

Speaker 2 (40:16):
Yes, uh yes, a ten does miss, all right, A
natural twenty that's what I'm talking about. So the Albert
is going to how how we are going to be
doing our crits that we have discussed before. It will
be the maximum on the damage to die plus the role,

(40:41):
so that one will be the beak attack, so that
will be a D ten eleven plus ten. That'll be
twenty one damage on you, Sir Hogan. As he nips
you right in the neck.

Speaker 3 (41:01):
The hoaster isn't feeling so good.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
All right, that's gonna end the owl Bear's turn, Sir Hogan.

Speaker 3 (41:13):
All right, I would like to wait how much damage
was it twenty one, twenty one. Okay, I just went there.
I'm gonna use my.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Headlick. You are on deck by the way.

Speaker 6 (41:34):
Okay, I'm going to divine smite. Uh this man, the
ol bear, the owl bear.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
Yes, well you can declared divine smite after you make
your mate, after you confirm the hit.

Speaker 3 (41:52):
You're right, you're right, My bad, my bad.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
So go ahead and roll your roll to attack or
unless you want to cast a spell.

Speaker 3 (42:01):
M I'm going to you know what, I'm just gonna
go lay on hands first, So I'm gonna use my
action to do lay on hands. Okay, on yourself, I assume, yes,
and I'm gonna replenish all of it said, be twenty

(42:23):
one points out of my thirty pool.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
If a pool of thirty, uh, pool of fifteen?

Speaker 3 (42:32):
Fifteen?

Speaker 2 (42:33):
I think it's five for character level.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
Yeah, I think fifteen. Okay, so I just use all fifteen.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
All right, get yourself back up by another fifteen. Is
there anything else you want to do with your turn?
Or is that how you're gonna end it?

Speaker 3 (42:51):
Let's see. I think That's how I'm going to end it.

Speaker 2 (43:00):
Yep, all right, handle it here go, buddy. Do you
see this Albert take a massive nip out of Sir
Hogan's deck, like there's a chunk of flesh missing.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
Okay, well I'm going to Okay, what I want to
do is how far am I from the bear? Like
within five feet?

Speaker 3 (43:26):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (43:26):
Yes, you are up in his grill or he's up
in your grill.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
Okay. I want to jump with my dagger in hand
and dig it into its eye.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
Okay, roll to attack, all right, tweres it there?

Speaker 3 (43:45):
It is.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
All right, A ten is unfortunately going to miss you
kind of jump and as you kind of go down
into the eye, it the like an owl's head. It
kind of twists and looks at you and bats your
arm away with one of its paws, not enough to
do damage, but enough where you completely miss.

Speaker 1 (44:09):
Okay, and that's my only action.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
I believe. So there may be something that I'm unaware of.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
But okay, well then I will.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
You can move around, you can attempt to move away.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
Okay. Can I am I able to pick up Sir
Hogan and back him up? Where's that? Or move him
back behind me?

Speaker 2 (44:41):
Is Sir Hogan a willing creature to be pulled back?
Well he's not, Yes, Sir Hogan, is not prone, so
you wouldn't be able to just drag him back as
if he was lying down. Besides, that would take an
action to attempt to push him.

Speaker 1 (45:03):
Well, then I will, I will let the I will
relieve my turn.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
All right, And just so you are aware, I should
have reminded you of this, you are able to use
your action to disengage, which would mean you can back
away from the owl bear without him getting an attack
on you. Okay, this for future reference. Yeah, all right,
with that, we're back to Larry.

Speaker 5 (45:33):
I'm just gonna hit him with my light crossbow again.

Speaker 3 (45:38):
All right.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Twenty three. You
will hit Larry. You were killing it with this light crossbow.
All right, roll the damage eleven?

Speaker 4 (45:50):
Good lord, Larry's really good with the crossbow.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
Yeah, apparently so Larry. Is Larry gonna do anything else?

Speaker 3 (46:04):
No?

Speaker 2 (46:06):
All right, back to the owl bear. He is going
to he's taken a lot of damage from Larry. He
is going to run around their hogan him like. As
he does this, you do get an attack of opportunity

(46:28):
if you'd like with your dagger.

Speaker 1 (46:31):
Yes, I would like to do that.

Speaker 2 (46:34):
Okay, go ahead and roll to attack sixteen hits god
and roll a damage.

Speaker 1 (46:42):
Okay, we'll see what is it? Wait right here?

Speaker 2 (46:46):
Wait h no, you just roll to attack again. Yeah,
it would be to the right where it says one
D four.

Speaker 1 (46:54):
Oh okay, I see.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
Max sticks damage ice. All right, you get a good
chunk out of its thigh as it starts to run around.
But this Albert, ignoring the pain, basically tries to leap
onto you. Larry, making two attacks does an eighteen hit

(47:20):
or I guess that twenty five does a twenty five hit?
I assume.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
It is he attacking.

Speaker 4 (47:28):
Sorry, I forgot I was muted.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
Yes, it hits all right, he's gonna make one more attack.
I'm assuming get twenty two hits as well. Yeah, alright,
so the first one's gonna be the clause. That's gonna
be two D eight so fifteen plus five twenty damage

(47:56):
on that first one. Yeah, and then he's gonna go
in with the beak, which he already hit. So D
ten U plus five so ten damage. Oh no, is
that exactly your health?

Speaker 4 (48:16):
Yeah? I die o lord, this.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
Is the first Sorry, Larry, my lord, it was one
attack as you were just hummeling this thing from a distance.
It like basically leaves over Hogan and jumps on top
of you and starts finally getting some attacks, and of
course it's on poor old Larry. All right, that's gonna

(48:45):
end the owl bears turn, Sir Hogan, this thing just
rocked Larry's shit.

Speaker 3 (48:51):
Yeah, let's see. So for my uh smite spells like
raffle and thunder, they're a bonus action. Do I cast
those before I attack?

Speaker 2 (49:04):
Or is that if you want them to be able
to be included on the attack then yes.

Speaker 3 (49:09):
Okay, okay, but they don't get used up until I
make an actual hit.

Speaker 2 (49:14):
Right, Yes, if you miss your attack, they're they're still
active until you make the make the hit.

Speaker 3 (49:21):
Okay, okay. Seeing Larry just get absolutely bodied like that, uh,
Sir Hogan gets a little angry and he activates his
wrathful smite all right as his bonus action. What does it?

Speaker 2 (49:41):
What does that look like?

Speaker 3 (49:44):
He kind of like he just raises that hammer up
and he just does a big like just like yells.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
You know, okay, excellent, I love it.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
And then I'm going to roll my pack with the
with my mall.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
All right, a nineteen will hit. Go ahead and roll
the damage plus the damage from wrathfuls smite.

Speaker 3 (50:10):
Okay, what so the way we add these spells, how
do I need to add that wrathful smite damage?

Speaker 2 (50:19):
What is the the damage on it? What does it say?

Speaker 3 (50:24):
Wrathful smile is an extra one D six psychic damage
and if the target's a creature, it has to make
a wisdom saving though or it'll be frightened.

Speaker 2 (50:34):
Okay uh. On the left side, there's that little thing
that says dice. Click on that. Let's do the D
six for now after you do the main damage.

Speaker 3 (50:43):
Okay, okay, okay, all right, all right they not and
then do another one D six yes, okay.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
Five? Oh wait, that was your hit dice?

Speaker 3 (51:01):
Okay, wait, so where's the dice thing?

Speaker 2 (51:04):
On the on the left side, you'll see those tools
and about the middle there's a little simple that's a dice.

Speaker 3 (51:11):
Yeah six, there we go.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
O one all right, so you deal ten damage to
the thing. It is hurting but still fighting with that one. Oh,
it needs to make a wisdom safe from the throw.

Speaker 3 (51:30):
Correct? Yes, do you know.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
What it needs to beat?

Speaker 3 (51:36):
Is that? Is that against my wisdom?

Speaker 2 (51:40):
Or like it would be?

Speaker 3 (51:43):
Here?

Speaker 2 (51:43):
Let me look at your characters here real quick, okay,
over and spells. Your casting ability will be charisma. So
it needs to be a twelve, which it does with
a fourteen. Okay, so it is not frightened, still hurting

(52:05):
h and as as you make that attack, it howls
almost more like a almost like a wolf's howl. At
this point is in massive pain, yelling out and this
time you do hear it is something calling back off

(52:25):
in the distance. Uh oh well all right, that can
end your turn, sir Hogan, Yes, yes, it is all right.
Hamlick here go fire mold all right, roll at disadvantage. Yes,

(52:48):
still gottah a modified twenty that will hit go out
and roll the damage four four, which is exactly the
number you needed.

Speaker 3 (53:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
How do you finish off this owl bear? As it
leaves onto Larry tearing them apart, Hogan does a big
old smash on its head, kind of sending it off
of Larry, and it's getting ready to pounce on the
both of you as well. How do you shoot your firebolt?

Speaker 3 (53:17):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (53:17):
Is it still standing up on its four legs?

Speaker 2 (53:21):
Yes, it's getting ready to pounce.

Speaker 1 (53:23):
Okay, I want to slide under it and throw the
fire bolt in perfect timing at its face, all.

Speaker 2 (53:30):
Right, and its face just catches fire and sit incinerates
almost immediately, and as it's kind of leaping as since
you kind of slid underneath where it was, it continues
its dive where you were, but misses since there's no
longer a target there, and it kind of rides around

(53:52):
for a second, but very quickly stops moving. I got
tim All right, Well you all have vanquished this owl bear. Larry,
your pal is unconscious. If one of you would like

(54:13):
to go ahead and go over and take a minute
to stabilize him so he is no longer having to
make death saves, Okay, I will, I will do I
will just allow that.

Speaker 1 (54:24):
Okay, I'll walk. I'll do it. Since mister Hogan here
is a little injured.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
To be fair, Hogan's still doing better than you technically,
I don't.

Speaker 1 (54:36):
Want to hear it.

Speaker 2 (54:38):
All right, Yeah, you go over. You're not very well
versed in medicine, but you have enough on you to
bandage up what there is. Larry is unfortunately still unconscious
for right now, but they are stable. Larry, could I
ask you to go ahead and go to the dice
and roll a D four for me, yes, all right,

(55:09):
Larry will be unconscious for about another two hours or so. Dang,
all right, is there anything you will I would like
to do before making where I am assuming Sir Hogan
will be carrying Larry.

Speaker 1 (55:26):
Before that before that? Can is it? This is just
a question you can answer yes or no. I don't care.
Can I carterize his wound to heal him?

Speaker 2 (55:37):
No, you don't have You don't even have a spell
that would be good for that fire ball is just
a bowl of pure fiery energy being shot out. Then
there is a difference between magical fire and real fire
as well, to where magical fire is not nearly as

(55:58):
easy to simply cauterize a wound with, even if you
had a spell like produced flame.

Speaker 1 (56:06):
All right, then all right, I'm ready. I'll I'm down
the walk if.

Speaker 3 (56:15):
I'm just kind of I'm still breathing a little heavy
from my big old smite I tried to do. I'm
kind of like, since we heard those shouts, I'm kind
of looking around a little bit. I walk up to
Hilarry's unconscious body and I say, that was some good shooting, Oiry.
When we get back, drinks are on me and I

(56:36):
like kind of hoist them over my them over my shoulder,
and I'm just kind of walking with them, all right.
It's kind of a hilarious sight since he is a
kind of tall stator and I'm just kind of a dwarf.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
He's still dragging, He's dragging on the ground.

Speaker 3 (56:53):
I still got it. His head's kind of like scraping
against the ground as I carry him.

Speaker 2 (57:02):
That is a that is a very beautiful side. I
did forget that you are shorter? How how old? How
tall is uh? Hogan? Again, Hogan is really at the
character sheet and Larry, how tall are you as well?
I'm wanting to have this picture nice and painted for us.

Speaker 3 (57:23):
Where's my hype? I know I entered it where I
see my height at one here.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
It would be under bio. Typically if you were to
have filled that out. Uh, yeah, you did not fill
it out. Well you can decide now.

Speaker 3 (57:43):
The hype about four foot Uh, I'm a little taller
shouting about four foot seven.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
Okay, that's a fairly tall dwarf.

Speaker 3 (57:58):
I'm a very bulky dwarf, do you, Especially in the.

Speaker 4 (58:04):
I'll say Larry is like.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
Five eleven, not the largest discrepancy, but it is certainly
a sight to behold. Thanks to Sir Hogan's strength, for
the most part, he's able to keep Larry up in
the air, but every so often he kind of slouches
down a little bit and maybe Larry's hooves or back
of his head kind of drags on the dirt for

(58:30):
a few seconds. And you will continue to make your way.
You as you are traveling, you do hear more roaring,
and because of the direction you're traveling, it does necessarily
sound like it's getting closer. Hemlick and Hogan could have

(58:52):
both of you make a survival check for me or
a perception check, which everyone is better.

Speaker 1 (59:01):
Their mine are the exact same, So.

Speaker 2 (59:04):
Well, pick your poison, sweetheart. Okay, okay, yeah, I did
find it interesting that all three of you have plus
zero to your wisdom, so this will be fun.

Speaker 1 (59:18):
This is not good.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
Well, you've rolled fairly well at fifteen and a sixteen.
It definitely seems like whatever creature that is is making
its way towards where you where that battle was, and
is probably getting pretty close. I'm assuming you all keep
making way. Yes, all right, what speed are you traveling at?

(59:44):
So you can go to normal pace or you can
go to a faster pace, which I may ask you
to make a constitution saving throw since you are carrying
your friend, and you will be less perceptive and less sneaky.

Speaker 3 (59:58):
Okay, what time is it? How close is it dark? Now?
After that fight?

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
This was almost right after you guys left the bandit camp,
So it's still like four thirty to five somewhe around there.
You still have a good two hours left of your journey.

Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
Okay. Hell, so.

Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Are they coming from in front of us? Behind us?

Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
That I will bear you here? From behind you? You
are heading heading away from it?

Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
Okay, Okay, after you.

Speaker 3 (01:00:36):
Halkstroom, Yes, sir horn Man, and I kind of have
on my back, do you do? We want to move
fast pace.

Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
That's up to you, That's what I'm saying. It's up
to you, since you're the one carrying.

Speaker 3 (01:00:49):
Okay, I think we can still make it to the
camp by dark if we start running. It's a I
kind of like do like a little bit of a
jaw with this on top. He's kind of like his
body's kind of bouncing up with me.

Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
All right, So you all begin to move faster, which
is definitely as strong as you are, difficult having to
carry this sator on top of you, because much like dwarves,
they may.

Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
Wall.

Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
Sators may seem skinny. Like dwarves, they are pretty compact
and have a decent bit of weight on them with
those especially with those goat legs of theirs. Can I
ask Hogan to go ahead and make a constitution saving
throw for me yep, and for both of you to
make a perception check, just trying to keep an eye out,

(01:01:43):
keeping it in the ear out as you're going.

Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
There.

Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
You go, all right, Yeah, it's no problem for you.
You've probably had to carry Larry and have the lick before.
You're about kind of used to this. It's not too
much of an issue for you. And you are both listening,
and after about ten, well fifteen to twenty minutes, if
you guys left that scene, you do hear a rather

(01:02:09):
loud roar from behind, and you get the sense whatever
it is has seen what has happened, and if it
is what you do know about Albert's, they have keen
senses of smell, and so from your experience having traveled before,

(01:02:33):
you do not want to LULLI gag too much because
it may be heading your way. Okay, I assume you
all keep your track going?

Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
Yes, yes? How many? How many of those travel beers
do I still have? Did I drink them all?

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
I don't know? Did you?

Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
If it was just outside of camp, I probably have
a Larry.

Speaker 4 (01:02:58):
Didn't drink any of his. If you want to steal, is.

Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
I take? I take both of Larry's travel beers and
I kind of look at him. I have a tear
in my eye a little bit. I'm like, I'm sorry, DearS,
and I try to pour him out right as we're walking,
to try and disrupt the smell. Not a very bright guy,
but like I had a little.

Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
All right, go ahead and make make a make a
separate survival check for me. See if that works at all.
Ye a nine, You certainly tried, buddy. It may work,
but you're gonna continue one just in just in case.

(01:03:48):
And as you guys are traveling at a bit of
a jog, you do hear these roars and grunts getting
louder directly behind you on the trail. You do not
see anything, and at this pace you probably still have
another at this point hour half hour to an hour

(01:04:12):
until you reach the camp, and even at the speed
you're going, if this thing is going very fast, it
will catch up up upon you and not too terribly long.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
Can I do another perception check to see if I
can hear where the rules are coming from?

Speaker 2 (01:04:32):
Uh? Yeah, you don't even need to do that. It's
directly behind you, like on the trail where you guess
it's coming from.

Speaker 1 (01:04:39):
Okay, if I did firebolts behind us, could I set
the alcohol on fire to try to scare it?

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
Go ahead and roll an attack for me. Yeah, sure enough.
You shoot it and it begins to fire ablaze. You
don't know how far behind this thing is or how
long this fire will last, but it may hamper its
speed as it's gets caught up in just a random

(01:05:17):
fire on the trail.

Speaker 3 (01:05:21):
Okay, I've God, does sod we just start? Do we
start booking it?

Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
Can I try to race him?

Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
For sure? Unfortunately, I think Hogan goes at a slightly
slower pace than you, so plus he's carrying a creature.

Speaker 1 (01:05:43):
Okay, okay, I want to try to moon walk faster
than he is going forward.

Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
All right, makeing athletics check for me, handle it and unfortunately,
sir Hogan, could you make another constitution saving throw if
you're going to pick up the pace even more the
other constitution.

Speaker 7 (01:06:01):
Okay, all right, as you are going, you are, You're
trudging through it, Hogan, but you are starting to feel exhausted,
having to basically run with this sator on your back.

Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
You have one level of exhaustion, which means all of
your ability scores are made at disadvantage. It's all of
your skill checks essentially. Oh okay, himlick you. You try
your best. You You aren't quite as fast moonwalking as
Sir Hogan is running exhausted with the sator on his back,

(01:06:46):
but you you gave it your all and you were
almost able to keep up.

Speaker 1 (01:06:50):
All right, cool? Can I turn back around and catch
up with him?

Speaker 3 (01:06:53):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
Yes you can. And as you go, the roars are
getting louder and louder. As fast does you run, this
thing is catching up. Is there anything else you're doing?
Are you just going for it? How much does to camp?
At this pace? You should be getting there rather soon.
It's just you're not entirely sure on whether or not

(01:07:17):
you will get there before this thing can catch up
with you. You might be able to, especially with that
possible distraction that Hemlick said.

Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
As we're kind of running, can I do a perception
check to kind of like scan the area see if
there's any like cover or any like just anything of
interest in the area. Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
You kind of look around, and there are some places
there to hide. There are like some trees, there are
some like brush and bushes. But again, you know, these
things have a very good sense of smell to where
at the very least it wouldn't run past you or anything.
It'll know where the general area where you are, Okay,
And so you might be able to hide from me.
You very well might, but you do not have a

(01:08:07):
full confidence of whether or not you could get away
with that.

Speaker 1 (01:08:10):
Uh So I still have both my beers, okay, and
then I'm guessing, God, I'm guessing that boat. Did you
use both to drop back? There? Just one?

Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
Yeah? I used both of Larry's beers, and you know
I've done drunk online.

Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
Okay, So can I divvy out the two cups that
I have and poured over us trying to get the
stench off?

Speaker 3 (01:08:42):
Can I like kind of interject with him.

Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
You don't have to ask, you can interject.

Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
Okay, Okay, So before like I kind of watch him
take the beers type for man, and I kind of
turned to him. I go wake him. Look, we can
either run like a bunch of pansies. I can show
you the old oakster ambush one too well, I like

(01:09:11):
try and persuade him to not pour him out on us.

Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
Okay, so I'm gonna use half the beer and just
throw it on him.

Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
Okay, you just you just pour the beer all over
sir Hogan.

Speaker 1 (01:09:29):
And then I'll use the i'd say cup and one
third that I have left and douse it over me
and Larry.

Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Okay, all right, you do. So what do you guys
do from here? Are you? It's gonna keep going, keep going?

Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
Yeah, I guess I kind of go because I'm like
sad he just wasted that beer.

Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
But then I just kind of like start licking yourself.

Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
Running with Larry on my thing, and I kind of
start trying to lick my armor. Did not waste it?

Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
All right? That is beautiful? Can I also lick his arm?
You can absolutely try while you guys are running.

Speaker 1 (01:10:20):
Okay, I gonna try to stay beside him and lick
his arm once.

Speaker 3 (01:10:24):
And after a few minutes, can I flap his hand
away immediately? Like kind of like for sure?

Speaker 1 (01:10:30):
Can we roll for this? I need I would rather.

Speaker 3 (01:10:34):
Yeah, can we roll for this? All right?

Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Make contested? Uh so, so Blake, what are you trying
to do? Because just playing that to me again exactly?

Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
So as we're running, I'm trying to lick his arm,
trying to get a piece of trying to taste the
beer see if it tastes any better on him.

Speaker 3 (01:10:50):
He does that, I like trying like backhandom as he's
like reaching down, so I kind of like try and
get him in the face.

Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
Okay, just go ahead and roll initiative for me. Unfortunately, Uh,
sir Hogan, yours will be at disadvantage since you are exhausted.

Speaker 3 (01:11:06):
Okay, so ill again.

Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
You need to roll again? Oh yeah, first roll to seventeen.
Second was a five, and hand the lick with a fifteen.
You try to slap him away, but he kind of
just dodges your first one, then gets a nice good
lick right at the bar, and I.

Speaker 3 (01:11:29):
Just kind of I just kind of look at it,
and I go, you worry me sometimes, ham A Wick.

Speaker 1 (01:11:35):
And Ken, And all I want to say is.

Speaker 3 (01:11:43):
I think you cut out.

Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
You can cut out therefore, Oh sorry.

Speaker 8 (01:11:45):
All I want to do is, yeah, sorry, I can't.

Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
Tell if you're making a weird noise or cutting out out.

Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
Okay, sorry, it's probably because I'm so high pitched with it. Okay,
let me try it again. Let me okay, I'll just
make it. I'll just say something delicious.

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
Right, and that is said. And about this point, not
only do you hear the roars, you can hear something
running booking it almost stand here, shaking the trees. And
if you look back, you can in fact see an
even larger owl bear bolting at you. Okay, does it

(01:12:34):
seem at this point if you guys spot it, it
sees you.

Speaker 3 (01:12:41):
How close does Larry to waking up?

Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
Larry still has at least a good half hour?

Speaker 3 (01:12:49):
Okay, I kind of try and toss Larry off my
shoulder real quick and try and like turn around and
get my hammer ready because I see this thing. We'll
go out to fight this.

Speaker 2 (01:13:04):
Mm hm you uh toss Larry to the side, uh
and turn around handlick what about you?

Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
Okay? Let me see here? Can I so based off
of my past, I'm a researcher, right, so I feel
like I've done some research on these after, you know,
being where I've been. Yeah, sure, Can I find a
weakness to deter the bear, like can I remember.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
Or to scare nothing in particular, To be honest with you, you
could try with like fire or something, but you know,
with these things are a little bloodlusted, they will go
for you. M anything you want to try.

Speaker 3 (01:13:59):
I'm kind of as I turn around with my hammer,
I see it running at me. I kind of just
pick my hammer up and just kind of start yelling,
getting ready to like clash with this thing.

Speaker 2 (01:14:10):
All right, hell yeah, As this thing approaches, it's getting
closer and closer. From behind you, all hear and as
you look behind, you see the king's entourage making their way,
a few dozen soldiers all running to catch up with you,

(01:14:34):
all most of them with crossbows. And as this albar
is approaching, they begin pelting this thing with dozens of
crossbow bolts. Ye, all of any kind of response to this?

Speaker 1 (01:14:49):
Can I throw a firebolt at it? Just for fun?

Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
Absolutely? You shoot a few firebolts, some miss, some hit.
This guy is definitely bigger and stronger, and he's getting
closer and closer. But then as it reaches about twenty
thirty feet from you, out in front of you steps
this six foot nine armored figure who you all would
recognize as the King's personal bodyguard, Alek. Here, he pulls

(01:15:19):
out his great sword and along with all the crossbow bolts,
this thing slowing down just with one like upper cup
of a swipe, and this thing is done.

Speaker 3 (01:15:33):
I kind of just kind of I stopped yelling and
I just kind of standing there, kind of like disappointed
because I wanted to do that exact same thing. Yeah,
I'm just kind of sitting standing there, unsure what to do. Now.

Speaker 1 (01:15:49):
Can I go hug the guard the elk here?

Speaker 2 (01:15:53):
Yeah, he puts away his great sword and as you
kind of approach, he just puts his arm out and
kind of on your head, kind of pushing you away.
As he walks past, he sees the disappointment and Sir Hogan,
be faster next time.

Speaker 3 (01:16:15):
An Apes has never expelled this for except one time
when the accident occurred in the ring. So then kind
of like trigger something in him, and so he just
like he doesn't know what to do now. He's just
kind of defeated. I put my hammer back on my
back and I just kind of start walking towards Larry.

Speaker 2 (01:16:39):
And as you guys, as he walks away, you guys
kind of do realize, well, if he's here, the King
is here, And sure enough, as you look around, you
do see him approaching from behind on horseback. A couple
of medics rush over to Larry tend to his wounds,
and within a few minutes Larry is conscious once more.

(01:17:05):
You're kind of surprised. You were not expecting them to
come out this way. As far as you were aware,
they were going to go to where the camp was
and stay there. So you're a little curious on what's
happening here.

Speaker 1 (01:17:19):
Okay, I want to ask them what they're doing out there?

Speaker 2 (01:17:24):
All right? And so as the king approaches on the horseback,
he's definitely seems he seems a little worried. He hops off.
My goodness, are you all right? Oh poor Larry? What happened?

Speaker 1 (01:17:38):
I feel great? But Larry is not doing too well.

Speaker 2 (01:17:43):
I could see that. Did the negotiations the deal go through?
Was it just you all?

Speaker 1 (01:17:53):
It was just us, and they did not take they
did not take any of our other deals that you
told us to do.

Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
All right, I apologize, this is not how this was
supposed to go. I specifically told my son to wait
until I arrived so that there could be a group
of us going to any for any possible negotiations. I
suppose he decided to use his own money. I don't

(01:18:24):
know if this was supposed to be to stick at
me or whatever. I apologize. This is not how this
was supposed to go.

Speaker 1 (01:18:34):
It's okay. The beer on the Hulk Guy's arm tasted good.

Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
Hemlik. You certainly are a character. I'm glad to see
you all are all relatively all right. I guess I'm
just gonna have to hope whatever money my son sent
with you was what the bandits were looking for. I
don't know why he did this. I will certainly be

(01:19:05):
having a discussion with him later. Let's get you all
bandaged up and we'll head back to camp. Would you
will all like to ride on a horse, get off
your feet for a while, yes, yeah, all right. He
kind of shoes off some of the other men on

(01:19:26):
the horses and he walks as well as he lets
you all ride on the horse to after all your
traveling for the day.

Speaker 1 (01:19:36):
I like this guy.

Speaker 2 (01:19:39):
This king has always been very fair to you all.
He always has always paid you well. But at the
same time, you can tell he is absolutely furious with
how this had gone.

Speaker 7 (01:19:49):
Down.

Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
You all, after balanced another half hour of travel, make
it back to the camp where the princes. You all
kind of gather supplies and you stay at the night.
You can only assume the king and the prince had
some choice words with one another, but no one was
allowed in the tent as that was that discussion took place.

(01:20:21):
Is there anything you all like to do before we
close out the night and begin travel back.

Speaker 4 (01:20:30):
Conscious?

Speaker 3 (01:20:31):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:20:31):
Yeah, you you regained conscious right before you all got
on the horses and made your way back.

Speaker 3 (01:20:38):
Okay, Sir Hokan needs a drink. So is the cavern
area and the camp still kind of open?

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
I mean, well there isn't really a tavern area. They
just kind of guys and they have their their casks.
But yeah, especially after that, there was plenty of ale
provided for you. There is a little bit of singing
and dancing, just kind of a good time. Knowing the
is are about to make a multi day journey back
to the capital of Morrington.

Speaker 3 (01:21:11):
Normally, Sir Hogan would joining the reveries, but after what
happened with that weird night guy, I just kind of
take a mug from somebody and I kind of walk
back in our tent.

Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
You know, right, Larry, and handle it.

Speaker 4 (01:21:28):
Larry's going to have a couple of drinks. Hell yeah,
after nearly dying.

Speaker 1 (01:21:37):
I am going to start humming Pink Pony Club once more.

Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
You get some of the soldiers come along you. They've
heard you seen this before. Some of them have heard
it themselves from any taverns they have been to. It's
the song of the town at the moment, all right,
and after what's up?

Speaker 3 (01:21:58):
Now?

Speaker 1 (01:21:58):
Go ahead?

Speaker 2 (01:22:00):
No, no, where were you about to say?

Speaker 1 (01:22:01):
Oh nothing, it's nothing important. Just go ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:22:06):
That's suspicious. Okay, after you all have a few drinks
and head off to your tents, you guys have a
good long rest so you all can go and click
that long rest button and get all your health back
and all your spells.

Speaker 1 (01:22:24):
No I even need to do that.

Speaker 3 (01:22:26):
Is that on the character sheet? Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
Yeah, you would not need to handle it. It should
be okay, okay, it's we're under core.

Speaker 1 (01:22:37):
You go all the way down to long rest on
the right side.

Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
Yes, oh okay, a big long rest button.

Speaker 2 (01:22:47):
Yeah maybe okay, all right, hear yourself back up and
anything else? So when would anyone like to discuss anything else?

Speaker 1 (01:23:03):
Can I go ahead?

Speaker 3 (01:23:07):
Sir Hogan's just kind of sitting in the tent, zipping
the beer, but he's hears all everyone's singing Pink Pony Club,
And even though he did not like that song at first,
after hearing Hammelick go on about it so long, he
kind of starts humming it to himself in the.

Speaker 2 (01:23:21):
Tenth as he drifts off to sleep. Yeah, that's that's
that's sweet. I love that you all have your your
nightly drinks, enjoy your your songs, doing your best to
recuperate after a long day, knowing you have a rather

(01:23:43):
long journey ahead of you. You all drift off to sleep,
ready to begin the new day. And that's where we
are going to end for tonight.
