Speaker 1 (00:00):
I believe the word bad steel. It sounds like a
French where it's all say, France.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
You got it, lay all.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Right, grab yourself a croissant on your way out the door.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Today, congratulations. Bad Steel Day, the day where all the
military vehicles and everything gets celebrated in France, a celebration
of military expectations in a country that you know, honestly, like,
would you like would we put wouldn't we put? France
pretty high up on the Wienie scale Wieni scale. Yeah,
I mean, no disrespect, but how many times have we

(00:31):
had to come across the pond to like bail them
out of stuff over the last one hundred and fifty
plus years. Well maybe they just had some crazy neighbors.
Well that's that's true. But I mean, you think we
would just take Canada going craziness coming across here and
telling us what's up, or Mexico or anyone for that matter. Well,
France is on the Wienie scale, yet they have a
Bad Steel Day celebrating their military stuff. And we have

(00:54):
some lefty libs in this country that wanted to say
that Donald Trump was somehow a dictator for having a
military preader, like for the two hundred and fiftieth birthday
of the United States Army. France says this every year,
and they're wienies, Weenie Hut, General SpongeBob brou I mean,
there's there's a whole lot of context there. What what

(01:14):
he do West Steel Day? Every single year in France?
Have these guys done anything like that important besides just
kind of being on the right team. A couple of.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Times, the guy keeps talking about running a third term.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I mean, no, he does it. People say that for him.
He hasn't said it once. He has, no, he hasn't did.
Come on, and he was asked point blank in an
interview just a few months ago from oh somebody maybe
Christen Welker I think it was, and she was like,
are you truly considering running for a third tie? Means like,
it's not something I'm looking to do. I am, I
don't know. He says he doesn't know. The rule is obvious.

(01:47):
It's in the Constitution. It's one of the amendments of
the Constitution. But he says, I am under the understanding
that it's not allowed. So he he knows, and if
he does, I'll come back here, and what do you
want I can. I'll buy you a mountain dew if
he runs for a third term. I don't want nothing.
I just hope that doesn't happen. I mean, I'm still
waiting on some omeal cream pies for whatever it's worth.
I believe I owe you two boxes. That's true. That's true.

(02:10):
You know it's probably not a good thing at this point, right,
Like I'm trying to be healthy. We can be eating
two boxes of oameal cream pies. Do they make those locale?
I don't think so. I mean, what's the point that
at that point? Anyway, I just wanted to say happy
bestial day. Happy Yeah, way to go France and your
awesome military that you know has been awesome. Remember the

(02:30):
French Revolution it happened after our revolution. Surely after that you.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Calling them weanings when they were out there lopping people's
heads off left and right.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yeah, now see they did that to get rid of
the monarchy. But they couln't figure out who's going to
be a leader. So then what happens. It's a breeding
ground for a crazy guy to take over. And guess
who takes over not that long after he just comes
in there and he just basically takes it.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Napoleon Napoleon, oh, Nopoleone.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
And old Napoleon Bonaparte. He took them apart and just said,
this is my country.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Now.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
People were like, okay, weenies, Napoleon tries to take over
the world. Has the Waterloo thing happened? His whole you
know stick explodes. France is still a laughing stock. And
France is such wienies that they felt like they had
to buy us a gift, right, there's such wienies. They're
just like, oh think you think you? Thank you United
States of America for being just awesome. Here's a giant,
you know, copper statue of a lady with the crown

(03:21):
on holding a torch, which I appreciate. By the way,
thank you, thank you. That's a quick way to stop
getting gifts from someone. Well, I'm just saying thank you.
I'm just saying, like, I've seen her. She's she's impressive,
but she's not mine. She's all of ours. One disgruntled
guy who thinks the French people are wienies. What are
they going to do to me? Like French Canadians, what
are those people about?

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Wow, you still speak French? And a continent that has
basically told you that that is an antiquated version of
the way that we speak around here. Yeah, it makes
Montreal a cool tourist city, I suppose, But are we
seriously still doing this?

Speaker 4 (03:55):
You know?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Interesting that Napoleon bawn Aparte, he rose to power, right,
and then he got thrown in jail on an island.
Well he roast the power after that, right, Yeah, he
came back. He came back, and they were like, okay,
as another island that features prominently in this president's timeline. Well,
I don't people say he didn't visit that island though,

(04:16):
Come on, man, Thoughts are mixed on that Napoleon and
Donald Trump have nothing in common.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Oh nothing, he really thinks. So, yeah, have you seen Napoleon?
This guy was like five seven, His hand's always in
his shirt? What's that about? What's the whole hand in
the shirt thing? Like? Like, where did that go? Why
did he think that was the look? I think that's
kind of a cool look, only because he's the only
one that ever did it. It didn't catch on. How
many portraits of important people have you seen with their

(04:42):
hand in their shirt? How dumb? How dumb is any
small guy little guy. I might try it out. Donald
Trump is like six', four what does that have to
do with? This there nothing. Alike napoleon gets cast off
into jail, legitimately like like what's the, word the exile
the right because he was just being a bad guy
and their government was unsteady in that. Era they had

(05:06):
just been through a, revolution and So napoleon's out there and,
he's you, know riling people, up and they eventually are just,
like this guy is not a good influence on us right.
Now we don't care how good a military man he.
Is let's get him the heck off of out of our.
Country and then he leaves and then he has a
coalition of like hardcore supporters that are, like there's no leader.
Here we can, like if you came back now enough

(05:27):
chaos is awmony In, france you can just take this thing.
Over and he, does and it's wartime In europe kind,
of and he just, decides you know, What i'm gonna
use my military genius to take over the entire continent
early eighteen Hundreds. EUROPE i, Mean napoleon's the, man he really,
is until he has a couple of. Missteps he was
always crazy in the. Brain but, man that, guy that

(05:48):
guy could maneuver an. Army there's no doubt about. It
like he's More ULYSSES. S grant than he Is Donald.
Trump some would also Say lysias Is grant not a great,
president but you, know you'd have to go to the
history books to really understand. That So i'm, saying domato,
tomato it's not tomato. Tomorrow it's it's it's it's it's apple's.
Oranges it's cantelope and pineapple is what it. Is that's
WHAT i. Say so, anyway how did we start talking about?

(06:12):
This oh, yeah it's Bad Steel, Day happy Bast Steel.
Day great military for The french have incredible, military very,
important won a lot of wars by themselves over the
last hundred and fifty. Years, weenis you can't let them
have one. Day have they celebrate this day all the?
Time they parade Them what if we had a military
parade every, year like whoever was in, Charge like if

(06:34):
this was a democratic administration and they were, like, Hey
president and you know Democratic PRESIDENT, x it's the two
hundred and fiftieth birthday of The United States. Army should
we do something to commemorate This army's you, know fantastic
history and all that it stands. For and could you
imagine like the idea of a democratic president, saying, yes

(06:55):
let's have tanks rolling through you, Know, washington D. C
to get. Cheered they would never say. That. Weenies, wait
which one of the. Wienies, now everybody's a. Weenie one
hundred percent of the people all the time are. Weenis
i'm a, weenie you're a. Weeni we're all. Whitnies but
The french are really big. Weenies and then the last
thing that they need is Old Emmanuel macaroni to be you,

(07:16):
know talking enough smack over there and you, know getting
on the bad side of The western hemisphere. Types and
he doesn't seem to be doing, that but he it's, like, hey,
guy look at your. Country how often have you been
bailed out by like the big? Boys like if it
wasn't For churchill IN fdr in our countries In World War,
TWO i, Mean france is still Speaking german to this.
Day let's let's not let's not split hairs. Here it

(07:38):
was our actions ON D day that saved their. Behinds remember, that,
weenies they celebrate our military as which they celebrate their
own and that's the way it should. Be happy bad steel. Day.
Everybody Andrew cuomo is running for mayor Of New, York he'll,
say But, emory he lost The democratic. Primary how's that?
Possible how's? That how's that a thing that he can? Do,

(08:00):
well you're about to find, out aren't. You stick with
me on news radio eleven TEN KFA B s. Cargo,
yeah Great french. Food let me eat this snail real, quick, like,
Oh i'm. Thirsty let me have this carbonated. Water. French
The french are renowned for their, cooking cooking of what
the cooking a battlefield? Plans, yeah that's that's failed through

(08:21):
over the last couple of hundred.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Years what's that lady who went over there and she
learned their? Cooking and then she told me she kind
of talked to like. Thisws your name Was, julia want
me to talk like? That, Pauladine, No pauladine out there
cooking with. Butter what was her? Name Julia Louis, dreyfus

(08:48):
the old, Dad julia. Child she went over To france
and she learned how to cook cook snails, PROBABLY i,
mean come, on what like they make?

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Bread? Okay? Cool she was a tall woman and she
was married to a, short bald. Guy. YEAH i, see
everything's got to be. Balanced that's not a, judgment that's
just an. Anecdote, okay that's the, truth, right The mastering
The art Of french.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Cooking it came out in nineteen sixty one At Revolutionized,
cookbooks and she got her own show and you could
always find her on LIKE pbs back in the day. Cooking, yeah. Baguettes,
yeah name One french dish that she would have. Cooked,
uh give me a, second, Exactly that's WHAT i.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Say.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah, also AND i was reminiscing this during the break.
Too The french sold us The louisiana, purchase like The
colony Of, louisiana which The french owned at the, time
for two cents an. Acre that went from literal like
Where louisiana is today up To Saint, louis across to
the state Of, OREGON i mean from sea to Shining.

(09:51):
Sea lewis And clark took two years to explore that.
Area they gave it to us for two cents an.
Acre these people are, Morons and that was, Right like
in the aftermath of The French, revolution and Like napoleon's
rice to power is like about to take. Place, like
what a terrible time to be A french. PERSON i couldn't.
Imagine and then knowing one hundred years, Later germany's gonna

(10:12):
steamroll you twice in like a four decade. Span and
on top of, that right you have to get bailed
out by other countries all the. Time they're a big.
Country i'm just, saying what a weird nation to be
celebrating their own. MILITARY i Like french. People there's a
really nice girl THAT i met down at run club
and she is A french teacher in The omahai area
and she's In france right now for three weeks to you,

(10:33):
know get some language practice and, stuff which is. Cool
i'm not about, like, hey you, know it's not to
say That france isn't, cool but, man, like which flag
have you seen more in relation To? France The french
flag that blue writ and red flag or the white?
Flag because they're always surrendering to people all the. TIME i,
mean what are we talking about?

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Here, well there goes The france. Endorsement here we. Go
Julia child's most famous and arguably best dish is a
wolf OR i don't know how to say. That that's a.
Word it's b o e u f space b o
u r g u i g n o, n but bayuf.

(11:14):
Baugnn we'll put this in the. Translator but that's your
most famous. Dish and clearly everyone's heard of.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
That uh, yeah clearly clearly heard of. That that's. Right,
oh it's also known as beef. Burgundy, okay well they
didn't have to spell it in The french. Way, yeah beef.
Burgundy that's good. Stuff yeah, Yeah, wow that's. Great, yeah very.
Exciting Go.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Franks still to get that down at The Bohemian. Cafe, yeah,
MAN i missed.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
That, place all, Right, peter The Bohemian. CAFE i look
at kind of different, things right that people people see
in the world, today and as you can, tell we
have fun, about you, know poking fun at The french or.
WHATEVER i Took french. Class by the, WAY i Like.
FRANCE i haven't been, there BUT i Like. FRANCE i
just think that generally they're kind of weenis they have

(11:59):
a lection is because we have elections, now, RIGHT i
mean we basically kind of set up our election style
and said this is kind of the way that we do,
it and other people are, like, wow That American constitution
is something. Else we really need one of those. Things
so a lot of like the developed world has some
variation of what we do, governmentally and that's what makes

(12:19):
it kind of crazy that you have an election like
we're about to see In New. York for The New
york mayors, race we had A democratic primary that involved
Former governor Of New York Andrew, cuomo who was a
pretty steady hand by a lot of people's account early
in THE covid nineteen, pandemic and a lot of people,
said this guy actually could usurp a lot of popularity

(12:41):
for you, Know Joe biden Or Pete Buddha judge or
any of the other kind of major players in The
Democrat party in the twenty twenty primary and caucus. Season
they didn't think it was too late in that moment
for him to, Decide, YEAH i THINK i do want
to try to run for president. Now it wasn't really.
Substantiated he had been asked the question a few. Times
he said he thinks his work is In New york

(13:03):
with the, people and then just a couple of short years,
later all of a, sudden a bunch of allegations about
misconduct from him are. Happening he's getting kind of ransacked
and saying he actually didn't handle that as well as
maybe the optics look to. Think he got a lot
of help from the fact that his, brother his actual legitimate,
Brother Chris, cuomo was a primetime host ON cnn every single,

(13:23):
night and he had him on the show like all the,
time So americans just got to know him through that. Conduit,
well he let it rest for a couple of, years realized, that,
HEY i could get back into This Eric, adams who
has become quite unpopular in the democratic circles in a
very blue city In New York, city and he in
fact is just basically Saying i'm not even A democrat.

(13:45):
Anymore i'm an. Independent he's running for reelection as an.
Independent Andrew, cuomos he's an avenue to, HEY i could
be the next mayor Of New York. CITY i just
have to win this. Nomination and then out of nowhere
comes this Zoron Mam. Donnie THIS, aoc a male version
OF aoc kind of pops up and he's very democratic.
Socialist he's very like everything needs to, change we need

(14:06):
a flip. Tables the style of government that we have
in The United states is. Bad but you, know even
In New, YORK i can change how things are going
and the way he's talking to the people through TikTok
and social. MEDIA i, mean he's a. Millennial he's got
this opportunity to kind of capture new voices that an
older politician that has a checkered pass Like Andrew cuomo does.

(14:26):
Not and toward the end of that campaign over the
last couple of, Weeks, man instead of it being like
a tour divorced By Andrew, cuomo all of a sudden's
raw Mom donnie actually became favored right at the end
in some of the polling and then ended up winning
pretty handily in the primary a few weeks. Ago so
when that took, place all of a, sudden the chatter
started to become what happens In New York city because

(14:48):
he's certainly going to win. Well Andrew cuomo, says not so.
Fast this isn't over. Yet he officially has gone onto
his social media and, SAID i am running for, office
BUT i am an. Independent so now he a high
my profile former governor Of New york is trying to
run as an. Independent Eric adams is running as an
independent as the. INCUMBENT i think people are kind of
sick of. HIM i don't anticipate him having much of a.

(15:09):
Chance No republican will ever win being the governor Of
New york or sorry for being the mayor Of New York.
City and that's just the way things are going to.
Be AND i don't know how Much Andrew cuomo like
pays any attention to, this but unless there's some, message
he wants to get to The american people as fast
as possible and potentially just try to Run Eric adams

(15:30):
out of the. Race there's nothing good to be gained
by him entering this. Thing like at least there could
have been like a general coalition of Moderate, democrats independent,
people and maybe even like right thinking people to kind
of get Behind Eric adams to prevent this democratic socialist
millennial who talks to people on TikTok and doesn't seem

(15:54):
to relate to anybody who's, been you, know living in
most of the rest of the. Country but Instead Andrew
couloma says that's not good. ENOUGH i want to be
the mayor Of New York, city So i'm going to
run as an, independent and there's got to be some
change in his messaging to try to win people back
over the next three and a half. Months i'm not
so sure that that's going to be, possible and if,
anything is going to be splitting votes From Eric adams

(16:16):
making it even potentially easier For Zoron rumdani to actually
become the mayor Of New York. City we'll have to,
see BUT i think it's really interesting that after getting
defeated in a party's, primary he can just redo the
paperwork file as an, independent run as an, independent and
still be on the ballot in the general. Election not unheard,

(16:37):
Of it's not the first time this has, happened but
it's going to be a pretty high profile story to
watch considering what's at stake for the people who live
In New York city and potentially developers in other places
around the country that's looking to try to attract people
who don't like the possible future outlook that a democratic
Socialist New york looks. Like we will have to. See
and it's three twenty. Eight thanks for listening to our show.

(16:58):
Today we Are i'm planning on calling my Friend, mardell
who won a thousand dollars in our show last week
that's hopefully going to take place in the next half.
Hour can't wait to chat with you some more about
it here on news radio eleven Ten kfab And mary's
songer on News radio eleven Ten Kfab.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
BARDELL i will be reaching out to you soon and
we want to hear your thoughts On Bastile day and
just Generally france in. GENERAL i want to hear what
you think about. Now But, france what do you think
about the.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Country i'm getting roasted by people in the email by the,
way really, yeah a lot of people are, like, hey
by the, way we'd be Seeing god save The queen
if it wasn't for The french and their help helping
us win The American. Revolution you know that's. TRUE i
didn't say that that wasn't. True i'm just saying also
in that, situation they kind of had their own issues

(17:44):
that were compounded by various. Things they basically got run
out Of North america. Completely they sold The Louisiana territory
for two cents an, acre and it just you, know
the next couple of major conflicts they were, involved including
the one that they created, themselves The French revolution didn't,
then so well for, them that's All i'm. Saying you
know who else gets Roasted weeni's that's exactly. RIGHT i

(18:04):
just wanted to make that. Joke I'm.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
I'm just not aween because he said the word a
lot last. Segment and we all Are oscar myerwenis on this.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Day, yeah happy best deal day. Anyway. Yeah and for
those who are trying to, like, hey you KNOW i
HAD i had one Guy, nick he, said, Uh i'm
disappointed in, You, emory don't forget we are Singing god
see The. Queen if it went for The, french enjoy the.
Show but this was low brow at. Best it was,
like look Up World war, one World war, two specifically
how The french were. Basical not to say they don't

(18:35):
have brave people In, france but their government are. Weenis
they have been weenie's for a long. Time did you
Watch John gerard In Talladega, knights great race car, driver
big time. Weenie you're killing.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
ME i feel like you cited the best example of
what makes them not, weenies the fact they had that In.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Napoleon. Guy, yeah well he WAS i wasn't a he
was a nut. Job he was a nut job and
he was not a, weenie you are, Right but everybody around,
him you, know they let him get too, powerful too,
fast and things inten in so well for that. Guy
so All i'm saying, is you, know let's just let's
call it the way that it. Is if The french
can celebrate their military despite being pretty on a world,

(19:19):
scale pretty weeny like on The wienie, scale pretty high
on The wieni, scale then The United states should have
A Bastiel day, too except we can call, it, LIKE
i don't, know Military Appreciation. Day and there's a lot of.
Words there's a word in there that's Like bastille type
thing that we can talk. Whatever what Does bastille mean In?
France what Does basteel? Mean bastille is a fortress In

(19:46):
paris that was used as a state prison during the
seventeenth and eighteenth. Centuries it also commemorates the storming of
The basteel in seventeen eighty, nine which was a key
event of The French. Revolution so it's the revolutionaries celebrating,
themselves you, know after the, fact because they you, know
off with their heads kind of thing to their. Government,
nay a decade after The United states was finishing up. There,

(20:08):
well their, war their. Revolution so there you, go the best,
deal best deal, Day happy best Deal, day. Everybody and
they say that is to celebrate the end of their.
REGIME i mean that's kind of Like fourth Of, july isn't.
It they celebrating the end of the monarchy they revolted
against in their, country but they revolted against. Themselves well,
yeah but it's the thing with us that was weird

(20:28):
is we were colonies of a country that we never
actually would, see and we never fought wars in their.
Place the king was never, here, right could you imagine
the chaos if that would have taken. Place, No, no
this was like the. Country the same thing. Happened it
was just everybody was in the same. Country so they
were able to find this. Guy they were able to
grab him and his wife who wanted them to eat

(20:50):
cake or, something and then just cut their heads. Off
they cut a lot of people's heads, off by the.
Way they started cutting people's heads off just for like
funzies in the seventeen. NINETIES i mean they were just, like,
oh this guy's a, threat cut his head. Off oh
that guy he wants too much, power cut his head.
Off it was crazy man read about The French. Revolution
those guys are nuts happy best deal. DAY i also

(21:10):
had a guy that said. THIS i had this guy
send in this thing and, Said jeremy is his. Name he,
SAYS i, believe actually there's a great chance for A
republican to win the mayor Of New York. City AND i,
SAID i don't think that that would. Happen but his
hypothesis here is That Eric, Adams Andrew cuomo And Zoron
mamdani will split The democrat vote in three, ways which

(21:33):
could allow A republican to rise to the. Top AND
i was, like you know that it's not a bad.
Idea is that how things are shaken out? Now before
today's announcement That Andrew cuomo is as an independent candidate
as an alternative To Eric adams and Also Zoron mamdani
for A democratic, Voter this pole came out a couple

(21:55):
of days, ago but it still was considering him part
of the. Race the poll was conducted By Slingshot, strategies
which is a polling firm that's generally Leaning, democratic but
they are unattached in a general. Election when they do,
This they surveyed over a thousand people registered In New
York city and that Was july second through the. Sixth

(22:15):
so you, know if anything is you, know taking place
over the last three or four you, know not three
or four like the last week and a, HALF i
guess then that, is you, know that could change these.
Numbers but the numbers in that moment where thirty five
percent of voters were in favor Of Mom, donnie twenty
five For. Couomo so he, actually even without the official,

(22:36):
Announcement Andrew couomo was still polling a really strong second.
Place Eric adams is only at eleven percent right, now
SO i think it's pretty clear that his time as
mayor Of New York city is coming to an end
based on these polling, numbers AND i think just voter,
fatigue not real interest in, him the fact that he
Was democrat and now he has decided he's an. Independent
there's a lot of controversial things that you, know people

(22:57):
are talking about in regards to his. Leadership and The republican,
nominee whose name Is Curtis, sliwa he has fourteen. Percent
so let's just use. This and there's an attorney in
here Named Jim, walden he's at one. Percent i'm just
gonna ignore. Him let's Say sleiwa was at it says fourteen,
here let's say in a best case, scenario it's fifteen. Percent,

(23:18):
well that's my fear is that there's just not Enough
republicans in The city Of New york that would be
voting in this, election that even if the votes get
split three ways among the Three democrat guys that, like
you would have to still to. Win you'd have to
comfortably be, like, like what would it. Be it'd be
like twenty twenty twenty or twenty, two twenty, two twenty

(23:40):
two for thinking like about two thirds Of New York
city is. Blue in a perfect, world those three would stay,
close which would pull all of their numbers as low as.
Possible the leader of the three of them would have
a low number you'd like just to feel, comfortable you'd
have to be in the twenty five to thirty percent support.
Range And i'm looking at fourteen fifteen. Percent so somehow

(24:01):
The Democratic party is going to have to create ten
percent Of New York city that isn't right now a
Registered republican voter or interested in Voting republican in this.
Election get them to not be excited About Mom donnie
and His democratic, socialism get them to not be interested
in the long term leadership Of Eric, adams not to
get them excited about Former governor Of New York Andrew,

(24:23):
cuomo and instead vote for The republican nominee in a
mostly very dark blue. CITY i just don't anticipate that.
Happening you know how many millions of people they have
In New. York you know how many hundreds of thousands
are likely to vote in This you know how many
tens of thousands that we would need to switch or
flip votes from A democrat to The republican to get

(24:45):
him to like that twenty five to thirty percent threshold
that potentially could make it interesting if they all split
votes the way we think they. May i'm not so. Sure,
also based on What i'm looking at, HERE i would
Anticipate Eric adams being the third, guy not A. Cuomo,
adams based on the polling, numbers is likely his numbers
is to go, down, down. DOWN a lot of people

(25:05):
who Are adam's people will probably just jump On cuomo
if they don't Like Mom. Donnie i'm not seeing a
whole lot of room for That republican In Curtis slee
what to actually find a way to. Win but it is.
Interesting it could make things a little bit more plausible
for it to be at least competitive for The. Republican
But i'm just not seeing it. Happening three forty. Seven real,

(25:26):
quick let's go To nate on the phone line at
four h, two, five, five eight to eleven To, Hey,
Nate welcome to the. Show what's going?

Speaker 3 (25:30):
On?

Speaker 4 (25:31):
Hey SO i have just had a. Question so you
can lose a primary and then just decide you want
to be an? Independent what If Donald trump had lost
the primary towards The Republican party and then decided and
turned around and, said you, Know i'm just gonna run
as an independent, Now, yeah how do you think the
world would react to? That and no, one no one
cares that his pomo or that is A democrat that's doing,

(25:52):
it because we all know he's still A, democrat he's
not an. Independent, YEAH i, mean can we just do
this from now? On there needs to be rules in
place so that if someone lose a, primary you can't
run for A.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Yeah you can't just refile the paperwork in a different
in a different way and run as a technical independent
technically could run run as a rite in candidate too
or SOMETHING i. Suppose and, yeah If Donald trump would
have pulled that that car and end up losing TO
Nicki haley or on The santis or, something and then
decided to run as an, independent he'd have a big
core of people that would follow him and it would
certainly split. Hairs go back TO i would, say go

(26:23):
back To Teddy. Roosevelt he handed over the reins To
William Howard. Taft four years later he started a third
party and decided he was going to Run when The
republicans said, No taft is our. Guy he started a
third party and just decided to run against him and
ended up splitting the votes there. Too we have historical
precedents that this is generally not great for the party
that it's, Happening BUT i just think it's so blue

(26:44):
In New. York it may not. Matter But i'm with.
You if you lose a fair primary or caucus or,
whatever there shouldn't be like an out that you can
still run in the general. Election but who AM i to?
SAY i appreciate to Call, nate thanks for listening to the.
Show thank. You, okay we're gonna come. Back hopefully we
get a hold of our Friend marda who was celebrating
one thousand dollars after winning it on our show last.
Week we will talk about it coming up on news

(27:05):

out like three times of WHEN i was going to
call and talk to. You thank you so much for
being patient with me and being on my show.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
Yeah, well AND i also Said mardell is a guy's name,
once And i'm glad that you.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Email, yeah that's all. Right female at.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
BIRTH i was going through my Notes mardell AND i
get a lot of, emails AND i typed in the
Name mardell SO i could get your contact information so
we could we could call you and talk to. You
and it said that you'd actually won. Before so did
you win like? RECENTLY i won In, April so you
won In, april then you won again last? Week, yes all,

(27:52):
right something's going on With. Mardell she's incredibly. Lucky so
CAN i ask what your plans were for the first
thousand dollars before you even won the second.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
One we're going To norway see The Northern.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Lights oh oh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
That money and this money will go to that. Trip
that trip's going to cost a few.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
Dollars.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Yeah now, See i've gone To europe a couple of.
Times you can never have too much money when it
comes to those types of. Vacation the fact that you
had now two thousand dollars from listening you have a
chance to use when you go. There that's super awesome
for anybody out there that plays the. Game and it
puts the keyword. In there's like NOBODY i never, Win,
LIKE i don't think it's actually a chance to. Win

(28:32):
now somebody who's won. Twice what do you say to those?

Speaker 3 (28:34):
PEOPLE i would, say you have a chance to. Win
put in the keyword you miss it the first time
it plays again and answer those unknown calls because that's
how it came up on my. Phone and, yeah it's
definitely worth. PLAYING i thought there's no point playing. AGAIN
i just, won BUT i, did.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
And then you want, Again, yeah that's really. Cool you're gonna.
PLAY i, Mean i'm not gonna be able to win
this contest. Again but we're going to have another cash
contest probably later this. Year you think you're going to
have a chance to play the game and potentially win
another thousand. Dollars oh, YEAH i loyal.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
By a LONGTIME pfab. Listener i'll play, Again.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Mardelle we really appreciate.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
That.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
CONGRATULATIONS i, mean your story is an incredible. One winning
two times in a nationwide contest where there's tens of
thousands of people entering every single, hour and you've actually
won twice listening to the same radio station in a
two and a half month. Span wild to, us but
we're happy to celebrate that with. You thank you so
much for listening to our show and to our, station
and you're gonna have to call us and tell us

(29:38):
how The norway trip.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
Goes OH i certainly. Felt thank you so.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Much, yeah thank you. Too how about, That. Matt that's
a story of inspiration of a woman who loves to,
listen is willing to play the, game and then it's
been rewarded with not, one but two victories in our
thousand dollars keyword. Contest i've not heard of that, before
not at least this close. Together that's pretty. Crazy, yeah,

(30:03):
now there'd be some people out there that listening and, like, Well,
martinell let some other people have a chance to. Win
every once in a, while you, know every Time mardelle,
WINS i mean somebody else didn't. Win, WELL i say, This,
well if you want to, win you got to keep
playing the. Game, Son you got to keep playing the
game with.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
This.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
Dude this isn't a. Handout this is you gotta do.
Something you gotta get off your keystar and open up
your browser and go to kfab dot com and put
that nationwide keyboard in there so you have a chance
to win a thousand. Dollars and if you don't do,
that you ain't gonna win nothing. Here, yeah you, know
IF i gave you a chance to win a thousand,
dollars no matter what it, was would you would you?

(30:37):
Participate depends on WHAT i have to. Do let's say
you have to do one pull up and you're inter
twin one thousand. Dollars, sure could you do a pull
up for? Me IF i put a bar right outside
in the hallway And i'm, like, hey if you do
one pull, up you are inter twin one thousand.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
DOLLARS i haven't done a pull up in a, While
but the last TIME i, TRIED i did a.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Couple how many people IF i put that up at, like,
say The College World, series AND i was just like
having fun with, it AND i put it up next
to the ballpark village and a ton of people are walking,
past how many people would willingly agree to try to
do a pull up for a chance to win one
thousand dollars and get entered into the, contest not that

(31:18):
they can do a pull? Up how many people would
be willing to be, like, oh, Yeah i'll do a
pull up to be entered into your thousand dollars. Contest,
uh like thirty eight? Percent, yeah it's less than fifty for.
SURE i think people are, like if it was a
ten thousand dollars, PRIZE i think that number goes up
quite a. Bit but for a one thousand dollars, PRIZE
i think Old, sparky who's been spending the last you,

(31:42):
know two hours In, rocos you, know having some beers
and jello, shots going to wander out into the ballpark
village AREA i had to go into the baseball. Game
he's going to see me with my giant bar and, says,
hey if you want a chance to win one thousand
dollars in our nationwide. Contest all you got to do
is one pull. UP i don't think he's going to be,
participate it would be my. Guess and if he, Tried
i'm not sure he. Would i'm not Sure i'd be

(32:03):
willing to let him get up on that bar intoxicated or.
Inebriated this is all to say you don't have to do.
That it should be easy for. Everybody just got a
kfab dot com and put the keyword in, there and
you'll have a chance of winning a thousand bucks or
maybe even two thousand if you win a couple of
times Like mardell. Did and we want you to be a.
Winner SO i got another keyword coming up in just
about ten. Minutes stay with. Me a lot more to
come on News radio eleven Ten kfab
