Speaker 1 (00:00):
You blew it.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Have you ever done something really stupid?
Speaker 1 (00:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Me, neither, but these people did, and that means it's
time for you get an F.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Al Right, it is two fifty one. My name is
Emery Songer. Mat Case is my producer, Matt. You gotta
you gotta on a Friday, you get an F Friday.
As I said that, I was like, oh, you got
you gotta.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
F stands for f could stand for Friday here, F
stands for fun. Yeah, when friends get together. Yeah, the
plankt's on? Yeah, yeah, Hey hey I'm walking here.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Hey, uh yeah, I'm walking here.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
So did you know that up until very recent No,
it was still illegal to jaywalk in New York City.
I didn't know it was ever not illegal in other places.
I know, Right, that's kind of like a time man.
I mean I j walk sometimes. Yeah, me too, But
I'm I'm I'm discriminate about when I do, right, Like,
(01:04):
you don't want to jaywalk downtown with all these cars
going by. You don't want to play Frogger in the
middle of rush hour traffic, and to do that in
dodgeball it does not end well. Oh they play Frogger
and dodgeball. No, they play run out in traffic like
Frogger on this busy street. Oh, in Dodgeball it does
not go well.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Interesting decision.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah you should watch it. It's good anyway. I see
I saw that movie. I guess I just don't remember that. Yeah,
he gets hit by a car. It's funny anyway. So yeah, So,
I mean, apparently it wasn't illegal, but I mean it
makes sense because New York is the kind of place
like you probably wouldn't want to do a whole lot
of jaywalking in New York, right, I think that the
problem solves itself, right, So I don't know who gets
(01:44):
the f her is another one of these classic examples
where I don't really even know. You could give them
to both both sides, right, the jaywalkers and the the
people who write.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Laws for New York.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Right. For me, it's kind of like I'm guessing that
this was probably enforced at the level it should have been,
Like I don't see, like, why are we Like, what's
the I need to look more into it.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
But what's the point of taking it away versus keeping it?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
We're people were cops out there just writing jaywalking tickets
left and right, exactly. I mean let's be honest, and
you know what, you know what else? You know what
else if you're not crossing the crosswalk. And this goes
for me too, if you see me on the street
and not crossing in the middle of a crosswalk and
you see me, I mean, I'm not saying like floor
it coming at me, but like I'm asking for it,
(02:28):
aren't I. So I guess fifty points for hitting me. Yeah,
So for all the New Yorkers playing Frogger today, you
get an.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
A nice, nicely done Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
So in Ireland, in Dublin, hundreds and hundreds of people
showed up in downtown Dublin for a Halloween parade. However,
a statement has come out that the parade is a
hoax and was spread intention to mislead people on social media. Now,
(03:06):
of course, with the social media, you never know what's
going to happen. But again, hundreds of people had to
be dispersed by police in Dublin because they believed that
there was going to be a big Halloween parade in
Dublin that wasn't actually going to happen and they were
fooled by it. So to all the people out there
(03:27):
that the hundreds of people in Dublin that believed this,
and maybe, who knows, maybe ghosts were actually in the
parade and you just didn't see them.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Well, you look like fools, don't you.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Maybe do your research and double check and make sure
that if there is going to be a parade scheduled,
you find a good source that tells you that that
is indeed the case.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
So all these fools in Dublin, you get an f
there it is.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
