Speaker 1 (00:00):

and look who's back. Pastor Ken Keltner from Brookside Baptist
Church has.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Not been at studio for a bit. Brother, How you been.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
I've been doing great. It's been a busy summer.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Boy, the numbers have gone through the roof on this show.
Been they have.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Man, you have my son on, you know, and tell
me Ken, you just stay at home. We don't, we
don't really need Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
You know what? And that was I think you agree?
You agreed with me.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
I thought I just thought to have Kyle and his
wife in just the three of us. I didn't want
her to be nervous with her father in law there
and I and you got a chance to listen to
the show.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
It was powerful.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Yeah, it was very powerful.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
He's a really good dude. Yeah I'm taking Yeah, I
would take you too.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Yeah, he's Kyle.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
He's really smart. He's a smart businessman. And I was
so impressed. We got a chance when we came over
to your house and had dinner my wife, Terry, and
all the Countner boys except for Kurt was not in town,
but him and I got a chance to hang out
just talk about business. And he owns his own company
in Augusta, Georgia. I'm doing this mcgifern agency thing, and

(01:19):
I asked him some questions and he said, look, I
would I would look at it different, I would look
at it this way. And I thought, oh, this boy
is he's all grown up. He's not toilet paper in
my house anymore. He's actually all grown So it was
really awesome. And how have you been You been traveling
a lot?

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, been great. Last week had a little
kidney stone for the week, so that was a little painful.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Oh, I bet have you had those before occasionally?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Not like Kathy's the one who's really had them pretty bad.
But you know, I haven't really got them too much.
But my pain tolerance level is not real high.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
I can tell you one day. I've never had one.
But I was with Coach Wallersheim once when when we're
at Scout in a basketball game and I had to
find a hospital in Racine. He was in the backseat
of my car rolling and screaming, and I didn't know
where a hospital was. And I pulled up to like
a convenience store and there's two guys out of the

(02:21):
gas station. I says, where's the nearest hospital? And one
guy walked up and he goes, do you shoot him? I?

Speaker 2 (02:27):
No, I didn't shoot him. Where's the Nears Hospital? And
the guy was that was the question you have for me?
Did you shoot him?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
And I just snapped and then I brought coach Wallersheim
in and I have there there is a flaw on
my personality pastor. Yes, yes, And my wife will agree
with this because she doesn't understand it. But I find
things like that kind of humorous. And he was he
was in the fetal position, proing into the backseat of

(02:56):
my car, and for some reason, I find that humorous.
It's not me, it's him, and Terry just does not
think that's funny at Also, it's good that you didn't
call me and ask me to come.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Over and hang out with you. Yeah, that's you know,
that is right?

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, Hey, I'm so excited about today's show. I like
when we when we have young guys that are doing
really good things and are willing to come on and
give us the amount of time it takes to record
Faith in the Zone and our guest for the entire hour.
He is the CEO and owner of Gospel Golf. You
can go to gospelgolf dot com and I found them

(03:32):
bye bye bye, you know, going around and looking for
people that would possibly be a good guest on Faith
in the Zone. And Kyler Crumpos is the CEO and
owner of Gospel Golf. And when you go to their website,
take a look at their mission to take a look
at their beliefs. And we'll get into some of that
here in the first segment. Kyler, how you doing today?

Speaker 4 (03:55):
I'm doing well. How about yourself?

Speaker 1 (03:56):
We're doing really well. Thank you so much for a
few minutes of your time. Can we talk a little
bit about gospel God. Let's start with this. So let's
start with your background, where you grew up and how
you started Gospel Golf.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
So I grew up in the Washington state, about forty
miles south of Seattle in a town called Chewallup. Just
after college, I moved to now Bonnie Lake, Sumner, Washington,
which is very close to there. But it all kind
of started when we started a sticker company in college.

(04:31):
One of my roommates and I and that just long
story short, got into making T shirts and then we
expanded into owning a T shirt shop and doing screen printing, embroidery,
and direct a garment printing. And I grew up a
Christian and was like always believed in Jesus, and then

(04:53):
through college and going through the stuff, it just I
felt like I was not close as I needed, being
needed to become more of a follower Jesus than just
somebody who said he believed in Jesus. So I was
talking to one of my buddies from college and he
started a Christian lifting business called Gospel Lifters, And from

(05:15):
that point, my T shirt company started making clothing for
his Gospel Lifters. So we got really excited and started
seeing how it was helping people talk about Jesus in
different situations. And from that point, I have a giant
passion for golf. My uncle is one of the number

(05:37):
one training pros in the state of Washington, and I
just I fell in love with the game after I
graduated college, and I was like, there's nobody really using
golf as a vessel to spread Christianity, and I think
I want to try to just be in that space

(05:58):
to help a Christian guide themselves through a witnessing opportunity
or having a conversation with somebody new. So it kind
of all stemmed from just one thing fell on mine
and then the next, and then it turned into what
it is today. And we launched April this year.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Well, Kyler, now are you still in the state of
Washington with your with your company and your business? Okay?
All right?

Speaker 1 (06:22):
You know for me Pastor, and I don't know if
you know this, but I've played more golf this year
than I ever have in my entire life. And from
the high school show that Andrew and I do a
year ago, we had on the coach, the golf coach
from Brookfield Central, and during the break, I said, you
know what, I'm about to give my clubs away. I'm
done the game. I'm just it's not a game I

(06:44):
can figure out. Everything goes way to the right. I
have no fun when I get asked to play in
like a scramble. I don't sleep the night before because
I'm gonna embarrass myself. And he said, do me a
favor before you give your clubs away, spend thirty minutes
with me at a driving range, and so we met
at storms and I can teach guys fundamentally how to

(07:04):
shoot a free throw right, just the fundamental side of
being able to do it well. Nobody ever taught me
where my feet should be, where my wrist needs to be,
were my hands, just the basic fundamentals. And that's what
this guy did. And I played a little bit last
year and then now I'm playing a ton and I
can tell you that it's a game that is the

(07:26):
most frustrating game of all time. But after I was
on this website, gospelgolf dot com, and I read their
mission statement, I read their belief system, and then I
looked at the gear they sell. It hit me that
if I'm wearing their hat, or I'm wearing their pullover
or their polo on the golf course with the cross

(07:47):
on it, I'm not throwing my clubs in the water.
I'm not you know, f bomb a drinking. It's holding
me accountable to be a better man. And it's just
a game, so you know, please, but people take it
very seriously. But I thought that this gear, what it's
going to do, is, like Kyler said, be able to

(08:10):
open up some conversations with other people. On the golf course,
but then hold the person wearing it accountable to show
that they're they're a little bit different, a little peculiar
as we should be on the golf course compared to
people that are out there, you know, and the only
thing on their mind is to break fifty or break

(08:31):
a hundred or whatever wherever their game is at. And
I just find it really interesting and I hope that
we can we can promote gospelgolf dot Com a lot
during this show. And I've seen some guys on the
golf course that I would love to have them put
this gear on because it might just slow them down
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Kyler, how how you know how you have records or
whatever of how many folks are involved in gospel golf.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
So we have an ambassador program. So in the beginning,
when we first started, it felt weird to be a
company to be like you need to have a certain
amount of followers, or you need a certain amount of
people to like promote our brand, like some only go
after high value athletes and whatnot. And I had multiple

(09:23):
preacher people reach out to me and say, hey, I'd
love to help represent this or whatnot. And at Gospel golf.
We couldn't find a reason to tell somebody, no, you
couldn't share the gospel with our brand. So it's often
to see him. I've had people reach out, Hey, I
know I don't have a lot of followers, so I
probably can't be an ambassador. But we're just thankful for

(09:45):
what you do. And I always like to say, well,
Jesus had twelve followers in his day and he didn't
have an Instagram. So I think we have almost one
hundred and fifty ambassadors across the nation, some of them
higher profile than others. And then we're actually a team
of four people. So four people were in the part
of starting the brand. So we have a marketing side,

(10:08):
we have just daily management stuff. And then yeah, so
four guys started it.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
You know what I love is on the website, big
bold letters said we love God, we love golf, so
we combine them, and I really like I just like
that when you read their mission statement empowering players to
tee off with faith, integrity, and excellence. Our Christian golf brand,
Gospel Golf, is dedicated to united the sport of golf

(10:37):
with the timeless values of Christianity. And I just think
to be able to open the door. What this reminds
me of, Pastor, is that bracelet that Mike Lightfoot years
ago talked about. He said, look, I can. I'm really
good in the locker room of sharing my faith with
my basketball team and my staff, But once I got
outside of the locker room, I struggled in that part

(10:59):
of my faith to be able to share my faith
with people that I meet on the street. And then
he read that book I'm not a fan, and he
put the three dollars bracelet on. And then in the
grocery store a woman said, who warned you a fan of?
And he said, I'm not a fan of Jesus Christ.
And she said, excuse me, And he said, I'm not
a fan of a follower. Can I tell you about it?
Fancy it on the sidelines? I'm a follower. Can I

(11:21):
talk to you about it? And he said that bracelet
opened so many more doors for me to be able
to share my faith. And that's where I think gospel
golf is going to be. Like you're gonna be on
the golf course and there's a lot of times that
you're playing golf with guys you don't know, or you're
waiting behind, because it's always a weight on every hole.
There's a fource on ahead of you or a force
them behind you, and somebody's going to come up and say, hey,

(11:45):
tell me about that that that that shirt you have on,
tell me about the hat you have on it. I've
had a tendency lately when I see a young person
with a piece of jewelry that's across I say, is
that is that just jewelry?

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Does that mean something to you?

Speaker 3 (12:00):
That's good?

Speaker 1 (12:01):
And about ninety percent of him say, oh, it means something,
And they are so quick to want to say, let
me tell you about it, let me tell you where
I go to church, let me tell you about my
youth group, let me tell you. And that's what I ask.
And there are a lot of people. There are some
people about ten percent that say it was my mom's
necklace and I just wore it because it was hers.

(12:21):
And then it opens the door for me to say, well,
let me tell you about the church I go to.
And I think that what Kyler has put together. And
for Kyler, how old are you?

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Can I ask?

Speaker 4 (12:32):
I'm twenty seven years old. I'll turn twenty eight in January.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
For a twenty seven year old young man to be
doing this in college and say, look, there's something here.
And then he starts doing some research about golf, a
sport that he loves, and he's not finding anything that
can open the door for people to have conversations. And
so there it is Gospel Golf, and I'm looking at

(12:57):
the gear that they have. Guys, when you go to
gospelgolf dot com, look at the gear. It's really really nice.
But read the mission statement and read their beliefs. They've
got a number of different paragraphs on their belief faith
in God and integrity and excellence. And each time I
read it, it gets me back to this gear that

(13:19):
you're going to wear when you're playing, to be able
to open the door and tell people about this company
and why they should buy the gear.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Yeah, yeah, it sounds awesome, Kyler. Is this full time
for you? You totally full time with Gospel Golf.

Speaker 4 (13:33):
So I actually have my mom has a family company
where she does construction consulting and I help you a
little bit of financial stuff for them, work from home
with us, but I run Gospel Golf and then I
still own my print shop, which I'm trying to transfer
some of it and the goal is to be full
time gospel golf. But we launched less than five months ago,

(13:55):
so we're just getting the ball rolling.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Here's the line that I laughed and I kind of circled.
With every swing we strive to glorify God and spread
his message of love, perseverance and sportsmanship. I can't with
every swing. I can tell you this. I can tell
you this. The way I play, You're gonna see all
God's glory. You're gonna see the woods, You're gonna see

(14:20):
the sand, you're gonna see the water, You're gonna see
the entire golf course if you play like me, and
I need to get better that with every swing, I'm
going to strive to glorify God and spread his message
of love, perseverance and sportsmanship.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Because right now I'm not to that point.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Yeah, if I could hit it one eighty down the middle,
I think I'd be better. But all I tell you
is when I get my money's worth on the golf course,
because I get to see the whole thing, which is
awesome and Kyler, I love the gear. I will be
a customer here soon. I can tell you that the hoodies,
I'm on your website right now looking that the hoodies,

(15:00):
cause here in state of Wisconsin, in about three to
four weeks, you're gonna have to wear a hoodie to
play golf, and I look forward to wearing your gear.
We're gonna get to a break. Other side of the break,
We're gonna ask Kyler crump post. He is the CEO
and owner of Gospel Golf. Go to gospelgolf dot com
again their mission empowering players to tee off with faith, integrity,

(15:23):
and excellence. Our Christian golf brand. Gospel Golf is dedicated
to unifying the sport of golf with the timeless values
of Christianity. And we'll ask Kyler to share his testimony
on the other side of the break. This is Faith
in the Zone on the Big nine twenty in your
iHeart Radio App. Welcome back to Faith in the Zone

(15:46):
on the Big nine twenty and your iHeart Radio App.
We're coming from the Divan and Jorganson Heat and Cooling Studios.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Did you call them yet, Pastor No, I need to.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yeah you do.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
I was just there and I told the President. I said,
I think, uh, Pastor ken Keltner's going to be calling you.
He said, have him called.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
He did not know. Scott did not he.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
I can tell you that that that they love being
part of faith in his own similar to Brookside Baptist Church.
There are people that come up to me each week
that say, man, I really like that show. I really hey,
it's a great job. That that testimony, that last question,
all of that. It's very similar to what happens when
I'm over at Donovan and Jorgenson heating cooling and I

(16:30):
told him that you were Kathy would probably be calling
because he had said a few weeks ago. They have
their maintenance program is what I would recommend. It's under
two hundred bucks for the year, and they come out
twice a year. They check your air conditioner, they check
your furnace, and they find small problems before they become
major issues. So Donovan Jorgenson dot com is where you're

(16:51):
going to want to go. And if you need me
to set that up for.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
You, let me know.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
I can do it.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
I can set it up for it if you want,
you know, I'll tell them the mission.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
Yeah, who do I ask for to talk to?

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Barb?

Speaker 3 (17:02):
Barb?

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Yeah, Yeah, she's awesome. Our special guest today. He's the
CEO and owner of Gospel Golf. Go to gospelgolf dot com.
He is Kyler Crumpos. Hey, Kyler again, thank you so
much for your time and when people go to the
website before we ask for your testimony. What I really
like about your website is there there is no doubt

(17:26):
the type of company that you are because it's right
there on your front page.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
Right.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
It gives the mission statement, It gives you your beliefs.
It gives you know, a paragraph on faith and service
and grace and forgiveness and joy and gratitude and community, excellence, integrity,
everything that you want to know about where the company
and the heart of this company is. You know, before
you purchase anything from your company, exactly where you guys

(17:54):
are at.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
Yeah, it's one of our things, like we are unapologetically Christian,
and that's that's one of our favorite things about our company.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Yeah, And I.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Think that that for for guys like Pastor Ken and
I when you can go on the website and you
don't have to search to find out because it's right there,
it's right in front of you, and and we both
really like that.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Kyler.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
The second segment for us is our favorite, and it's
the one that we get the most questions and people
coming up to us saying, hey, two weeks ago, the
testimony that your guest gave really touched me and here's why,
and if we can ask you to share your testimony with.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
Us, absolutely, So. I actually grew up in a Christian family.
I was. I believed in Jesus my entire life, with
the same prayers at night, Bible versus here and there,
are going to Sunday school. And then as I continued
to get older, I started I never lost faith in Christ,

(18:57):
but the Bible calling quieter and quieter. I would still
read my Bible in high school and whatnot. And then
we got to college and I started hanging out with
buddies and you know, just doing the college thing, and
always had the belief in Jesus, but never really like
gave Jesus time, like, never sat down. And that's why

(19:19):
even their earlier segment when I said I was a
believer but not a follower. And so towards the end
of college, just going through some hard stuff in school
and just dealing with just what am I doing for
my future kind of thing, you just thought those Jesus

(19:39):
tugging on the heartstrings again and started reading the Bible again.
And then I was blessed to start talking with my
buddy Jonathan again with Gospel Lifters, and then we started
studying the Bible together. And from that point it was
like early twenty twenty one, twenty twenty two started, and

(20:00):
twenty twenty and we just got really deep into it.
And right then and there, I decided, wait a minute,
that I've been doing this the wrong way. I can
say I believe in Jesus, I can wear the cross necklace,
I can do it, but am I actually showing people
how Jesus would want to live? And we're still all
going to fall short. Jonathan and I we talked to

(20:24):
each other all the time, and it's like we can't
teach perfection, we're trying to teach direction. So just becoming
a follower Christ and then I never want to come
off with somebody just that doesn't practice what he preaches.
So if I'm here wearing these clothings and I'm not
acting accordingly, I would want someone to let me know.

(20:46):
Because iron sharpens iron, and we as Christians, we need
to make each other better.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
So it sounds like you came to Christ early in
your life.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
Then, Yes, so my was a big factor in my faith.
My mom is a firm believer in Jesus and and
and I grew up with that around me.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Yeah, you know that's amazing, Kyler. How many times and
talking to folks, especially if they came to Christ young,
of how the mother played a very important role. I mean,
I grew up in a pastor's home and and uh
I was young. No one had to tell me I
was a center. I was actually stealing women's purses when
I was little, and it wasn't good, you know, when

(21:28):
they're coming to church and the preacher's son has taken.
I was probably four or five years old. But I
wasn't stealing for money. I was just wanting to collect
all the persons because I thought they all looked kind
of unusual back there against the back wall. And but
it was, uh, it was after a service on a
Sunday night. My mom, Uh was sharing with me that night,
you know, in my bedroom, and I still, I could

(21:50):
take you to the place there in Tulus, Oklahoma, that
I got down right there, you know, by my bed,
and I said, I'm a center. I need Christ Jesus
to be my savior and I'm I'll forever be grateful
for my dad and mom and their training, but mom
taking that time and sharing with me how I could
know christ.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
Hey, Kyler, what is your mom's name?

Speaker 4 (22:10):
Darby?

Speaker 3 (22:11):
I'm sorry, Barbie Barby, Okay, Darby Derby, Derby.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
I have to tell you, and I hope that she's
able to hear this show her and Jonathan, because talk
about two people that had just a very impactful part
of your life and your walk. I thank her for
starting that As an early age pastor. I always says, look,

(22:39):
you know, God made it so easy that a child
can understand it when we talk to people that became
believers at an early age, and I envy guys like you.
I mean, you're twenty seven years old now, so you're
still really young to us. Maybe not to you know,
everybody listening, but to you and I a pastor, he's
just a pup, you know, and he's doing great things

(23:02):
with this. And I want to thank Jonathan, and I
want to thank your mom because I just think that,
you know, they obviously invested in this with you and
got you kind of figured out, not at an early
age and again in college. And I think that I
give them credit to be wise enough to come and

(23:22):
have these conversations with you. I really I appreciate them
a lot. When you when you decided, you know, in college,
to say, Okay, I need to get a hold of
Jonathan again, and it starts to talk to him again.
Was it with the fact that you knew that he
was a Christian and you wanted to start to talk

(23:44):
to him about that part of his life?

Speaker 4 (23:47):
So Jonathan, we both came to it towards the end
of college and then right outside of college, So this
was twenty nineteen and graduated, and then I knew about
Jonathan's faith like we actually. Funny enough, we were in
the same advisory in high school together and then never
really hung out other than with close friends or other

(24:09):
acquaintances in college and then now I would consider him
one of my best friends. But as I was starting
my clothing company and then also getting closer to God,
I saw him post a video on TikTok about his
faith walk and his new fitness brand that he was
starting to run. And from that point we started talking

(24:31):
with one another because I reached out to him, and
it's turned into the partnership we have today.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Man, that's awesome.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Hey, let's talk a little bit. If we can't pass
your Do you have any more questions?

Speaker 3 (24:42):
Well, the only question I just could you could you
remind me again where you went to college.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
I went to Central Washington University.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Okay, Central Washington. Okay.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
When when I'm on the website with Gospel Golf, one
of the parts that I'm interested in is you guys
are giving back and spreading the word, but giving back
ten percent of profits. And I'm wondering was that a
big part of what this company and Gospel Golf the
belief is. And where do you send and who do

(25:17):
you work with to give money to?

Speaker 4 (25:20):
Absolutely? So. When we first started this brand, we wanted
to make it have not only the purpose of the
spreading the gospel, but also we wanted it to make
an impact in communities. And from doing our research, we
really wanted to find the right organizations to help and

(25:43):
support where we know the money that goes to them
is actually stewarding good things. And We've landed on Compassion International,
which is an international foundation that helps kids and child
poverty and helps them go to school and learn about Jesus.
And then we also help support the tim Tebow Foundation,

(26:05):
and I actually got to meet Tim Tebow earlier this year,
so that was very cool, and he was our They
were our first big donation we gave. I think within
our first month we were able to donate one thousand
dollars in Tim Tebow Foundation, who helped countless special need kids,
child trafficking kids, and other like. I get text messages
when they when they save another child from an abusive

(26:28):
situation and they're relocating them and they asked for prayers,
and Tim Tebow is just such a great guy. But
helping those two organizations really focusing on the youth, and
then we also support local church events here and then
we're actually going to be starting a campaign where we're
we're traveling and doing tournaments in states and then helping

(26:50):
helping local communities when the with the revenue we generate
in those tournaments.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Man, that's awesome. Good for you.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
That servant leadership, Hart, I've got to believe it came
from your mom, right, because that's a learned behavior.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
Yeah, I mean, she's she was very She's a mom
that always wants the best for her kids and just
wants to support them and guide them to the best
of their ability, and I love the fact that she
allows us to make mistakes as well, because that's a
great learning lesson. But yeah, being able to give and
she would give the shirt off her back if somebody

(27:24):
needed it.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Do you do you have brothers and sisters?

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Yes, I have a younger brother who's actually on the
autistic spectrum and his name's Caleb.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Does does he does he get involved in gospel golf
at all? Does he get involved in playing golf? I
don't know whorry he is on the spectrum, but is
he able to do stuff like that?

Speaker 4 (27:48):
Yeah, he's very high functioning. He actually just got his
driver's license last year, so we were very very proud
of him for that. He's twenty two years old now,
but he's uh, doesn't really play golf, doesn't not a
big fan of the athletic sports stuff, but has found
his love of Christ as well now and will ask
me questions. And I think that's very cool to see as.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Well, again probably coming from your mom.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Yeah, she's a big.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Influence on us, you know, Pastor you had said, it's
amazing how many times and look we've had I've had
your boys on you know. Kathy's big influence on those boys.
We had my son Matthew come in and he talked
about driving to his grandmother's house and and you know,
Terry pulling over and having that discussion with him.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
And you're right, you know, we we talk a lot.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
In churches that that men have to be more active
and men have to be willing to to to do
things around the church. It's funny because ten percent, ninety
percent of the work it's done done by ten percent
of the people at church. And and men have to
have to be willing to stand up and do some things.
But it's amazing how many times when we ask for testimony,

(29:04):
how the mom is the key person?

Speaker 3 (29:06):
Yeah? Absolutely, I mean it takes both, it takes dad
and mom together with it. But you know moms, you know,
moms are an absolute key. I mean, if mom goes away,
you really see kids kind of tend to go that way.
But moms that are passionate love the Lord, they're going
to be right there with their kids all the way

(29:26):
through their spiritual journey.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Hey, Kyler on Gospel Golf and you can go to
gospelgolf dot com. Are you constantly coming up with new products?
And you know it's fun because I'm looking at the
accessories and so it's not just shirts and hoodies and
hats and pullovers. But now you know there's accessories from

(29:49):
the towel where you've got John three sixteen, Philippians four thirteen,
You've got headcovers for the golf the golf clubs, You've
got Tea's. There's a lot accessories that are available as well.
And are you constantly thinking about new products to come
out with.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
Absolutely, we have driver headcovers so that are actually in
production right now. It's one of our most asked for items.
And then next week we also have three new additional
towels coming, so we're adding a red, a white, and
a blue towel that we'll have separate versus on them
and continue to give people avenues to share a new

(30:29):
part of the Bible to somebody.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Hey, what is what's the best selling product that you
guys have?

Speaker 4 (30:35):
Our number one selling product by quantity is by far
the Philippians four thirteen magnetic towel. Really, and then yep,
and then second is our Heaven's Polo.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
Interesting because I like the hoodies, That's where I'm going
on this thing.

Speaker 4 (30:57):
Yeah, the hoodie is actually the favorite thing that we
sell personally for me, I'm I really love hoodies that
my wife will tell me every time I get a
new hoodie, I have to get rid of too, because
I have so many, and I I really I spent
a lot of time with our manufacturers just fine tuning

(31:17):
what it felt like because I have my favorite brands
that I like to wear, but I like one thing
from this brand and one thing from this brand. And
uh when when I got this last, this last shipment,
after the designs, I was like, yep, this is the one.
So I'm we're very proud of our hoodie.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
Well, it seems like as I look on Mike's screen here,
it looks like that the quality is really high quality
with uh, with what you're doing.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Yes, we we We definitely did not go cheap. And
then I I always just when we when we launched,
I was like, I never want to be the company
that just tries to sell cheap merchandise that I love
the message and whatnot, but I really want someone to
put this on and feel like they're wearing a name brand,

(32:07):
because that's going to make someone want to wear it
every time they go out on the course. Or you
can even wear that collared shirt to you know, to
work in the day, and it just it gives an
avenue for people to want to wear the clothing not
just because of the gospel side of it, but also
it feels good and you actually want to wear it

(32:28):
out on your daily life.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
You know, they got big boy sizes two pastor, which
I like.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
You know, hey, they don't stop at the you know XL,
They go to the two X, so you know, yeah,
the big boys like me can wear this gear as well.
We're talking to Kyler Crumpos. He's the CEO and owner
of Gospel Golf. Go to Gospelgolf dot com, Gospel golf
dot com, and before you purchase some of some of
their products, read their mission statement, read their belief system,

(32:55):
and understand the type of company that you're working with,
and then also look at the ten percent the giving
back because that's a very important part of who this
company is. We'll continue our conversation with Kyler on the
other side of the break. This is Faith in the
Zone on the Big nine twenty in your iHeart Radio App.

(33:16):
Welcome back to Faith in the Zone on the Big
nine twenty and your iHeart Radio App by Mike mcgiver
alongside head pastor and youth pastor from.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Brookside Baptist Church.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
He is Pastor ken Keeltner coming from the Donovan of
Jordansen Heated and Cooling Studios.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Well, I think Jesse our intern from Palau. He's pretty young, vibrant, athletic, active.
I'm definitely giving him a lot more responsibilities this year.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Well, is he the one that couldn't go to the
Dominican Republican? Send him home?

Speaker 3 (33:50):
Couldn't get through them?

Speaker 2 (33:51):
You had to run the basketball camp?

Speaker 3 (33:53):
Yeah? Well I was going to do that anyway, but
I needed his help to, you know, show guys what
to do.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Do you think he might be the the youth pastor
in waiting?

Speaker 3 (34:03):
He's wanting to go to Arizona, and you know he's
he's a Native Indian and his mother was palowing, but
his dad is on the reservation Arizona. He wants to
go start a church on the reservation in Arizona.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
So youth pastors is going to stick around. We're working
on How long you been working on that?

Speaker 3 (34:25):
About three years?

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Man, I think I think the kids love you. You're
getting tired though, right, you're getting both tired.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
Well, they always they always say, hey, how come we
can't get someone like one of your sons. Well, man,
I'm the original. They're the copy and they go, yeah,
but their knees don't creak.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Yeah, their knees and they drive in the snow may
be a little better. Our special guest, he's the CEO
and owner of Gospel Golf. He is Kyler Crumpos And
again go to gospelgolf dot com.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
Hey Kyler.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
During the break, we talked about the different products that
you guys offer, and you said, look, we're we're such
a new company. We're coming out with some new products.
In fact, we only have two women's sizes and we
don't have any youth sizes yet. But that's where that's
on the drawing board. That's coming down the pike relatively soon.

(35:15):
When do you think that's going to be able to
be available.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
When they go to Gospelgolf dot com.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
Uh. Female gear though, is going to be more towards
the end of this year and then the start of
next year, and then youth gear. We're hoping to roll
out a whole youth section with all matching designs of
what we currently have so that mothers and fathers and
sons and daughters can all just wear the same gear

(35:44):
out on the golf course and make it, you know,
a family thing. So we want to have a full
youth section with all the year we have next year.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Kyler, when when you started this, and and I understand
because you talked to the first segment, you say, look,
nobody is doing this in the game of golf. Did
you know going in that that when I when I
talked about holding golfers accountable when they're on the golf course,
not only having conversations, but but you know, not throwing

(36:16):
your club after you hit a bad shot, you know,
doing stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Did you have that in mind when you started this?

Speaker 4 (36:24):
I knew it would be something that was created by it.
You know, if you if you are wearing a cross.
I read something one time, and we talked about this
a lot, is you might be the only Bible somebody
reads and having that that that's that clothing on or whatnot,
and by any means you don't need to wear our

(36:45):
clothing to show off Jesus. So I like to make
that very clear too. There's people like I want to
support and I don't. It's just that you don't need
arguer to talk about Jesus. That's that's the first and foremost.
But we just wanted to create a vessel and we're
we we want people that wear our gear to hold
themselves accountable and hold themselves in the way Jesus would

(37:08):
want to carry himself.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
I think too. Yeah, I know you're working on it,
but boy, how do you have any any of these
pro golfers and one of them have on you're you're
apparel man alive that that's going to catch a lot
of people's attention right there.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
Well, if you guys know any we are, we are happy,
we are taking offers. We will send them the whole
line if they if they want.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
Yeah, well Mike not. Mike might not make TV. He
has a little trouble beating his son right now.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
And I'm not sure that I would be that professional
golfer that that they're they're talking about.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
I can tell you that.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Hey, can we before we get to a break, can
we talk a little bit about that ambassador program? You
had talked about that in the first segment, But if
somebody goes and it says join Team Gospel Golf and apply, now,
can we talk a little bit about what that entails
if they want to be in an ambassador for gospel golf.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
Absolutely, So what we do is our Ambassador program. There's
an application at the bottom of our website, so if
someone likes what we do and they want to help
spread it, they just go fill out that and the
application comes in and you have to share your social
media with us. We vet We ask them what their

(38:27):
favorite Bible versus and why, and just really try to
get to know them individually and in a short amount
of time, and then we ask them that they leave
their phone number because if we have more questions, we
want to be able to reach out and personally have
a conversation with them. But what the Ambassador program does
is it creates a special link and discount code for

(38:49):
that individual, so and then that individual then gets a
commission on any sale that's used by that to help
them and their ever Like when we first reached when
we first started, a aspiring professional golfer was planning on
quitting his job and going to pursue full time golf

(39:12):
so he could try to make it on the tour
and he was very excited to join us because of
that opportunity. It allowed him to share his code and
then also helped build up that foundation of maybe some
capital so that he can continue pursuing his dream. So
then they so ambassadors met a twenty percent discount, and

(39:33):
then they also that pairs with discounts on our website,
so something ten percent off on our website. The ambassador
can still use their code, and then the total amount
of sale, they get a percentage of that sale to
their to their ambassador account.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
Mike, it sounds like you need to be an ambassador.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
Oh, that's got to be written all over. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
Yeah, do you want to buy some golf cure from
me right away? I'm trying to get sales before him
an ambassador, I can you?

Speaker 3 (40:00):
My guy would definitely you would. Yeah, from you, I would.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
I'm going to put a tent outside in front of
Brookside Baptists.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
And you know, actually I'll maybe don for the the
golf leek.

Speaker 3 (40:10):
Oh yeah, we have a golf leek.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
You played in it, didn't you.

Speaker 1 (40:13):
I did not know that one week I was going
to play and that I was going to fill in.
I had a little issue with my backer is right
before I got that quarter zone shot, and I thought
maybe I could get through it.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
And Terry's like, don't do it? Why? Why? And I thought, okay,
I won't play.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
It next summer. That's a good group of guys, and
there's some really good golfers in that.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
Maybe I shouldn't go that, not yet. Maybe in a
couple of years. Hey, guys, let's get to a break
the other side of the break again. Go to Gospel
goolf dot com, Gospel Golf one word, Gospel golf dot com,
and let's support Kyler.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
In this business.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
They just started in April and doing some really good
work and I'm very impressed with this young man. Well,
we're going to ask him the same question we ask
people at the end of the show. All the uniforms
he's ever put on, which one does he play out
of the closet and put on to get one more
game or match with that team. This is Faith in
the Zone on the Big nine twenty in your iHeart

(41:08):
Radio app. Welcome back to Faith in the Zone on
the Big nine twenty in your iHeart Radio app. We're
having fun from the Donovan and Jorgansen Heating and Cooling
Studios on Mike McGivern alongside Pastor Ken Caltner from Brookside
Baptist Church. We're talking Gospel Golf with the CEO and

(41:28):
owner of Gospel Golf. He is Kyler crumpost Hey Kyler.
This last segment, we love all the uniforms you've ever
put on your entire life. You put him in a
closet and you get to pull one out to get
one more game or match with that team, or if
it's golf, it certainly would be a shirt. What uniform
do you put pick? And who do you play against?

Speaker 2 (41:50):
And why?

Speaker 4 (41:52):
Oh man, that's a good question. I mean, I started
golf after college, so it'd be hard to pull that
out of the closet because it's currently in the closet.
I think what I would do is my dad, my
best friend Sean back in the day and his dad
and my dad, they all coached us. Sean's dad coached

(42:15):
baseball and we were the Raptors, and my dad coached
us in basketball, and that was the magic. And this
was all the way up until like junior high, I believe,
and just kind of the memories of growing up and
being like, you know, I still have a lot of
those friends to this day, and it's just like you

(42:35):
look back and those were the days that like you
shaped and formed you, and like I remember winning the
little league championship for our league on the baseball team
and then making it to the finals with our basketball team. Whatnot.
And this is like when we were five, grade five,
grade six, and just thinking about the memories and how

(42:56):
those friendships have turned into what they have today. I
think going back and being able to like relive those
moments with the thought of like, wow, this is what
this is going to turn into later on in life.
That that's that's that's what comes to my mind when
you when you.

Speaker 1 (43:12):
Ask that question, that's a great answer, really a great answer.
And it makes guys like Pastor Ken and I who
coached our boys right when they were little, that that
puts a smile on my face and to be able
to say, look, we we had those memories with our
kids as well, and and I loved you know, you
pull out the raptors or pull out the magic jersey

(43:34):
and and go play one more game with those those
boys and play for your father. And I think that
that's a really good answer.

Speaker 3 (43:42):
Absolutely, you know, I I had great times with that.
I do remember one time, though we just started a
soccer season, this was what's Kyle, my oldest and he
was probably I don't know, seven or eight. And I
had a guy who coached at the public school helping me.
He was a good soccer coach too, And we're there
and right off the kickoff, I looked at him. I go, hey,

(44:04):
I've already had a parent talk to me. And he goes,
you got to be kidneing. Man, the game just started.

Speaker 2 (44:09):
Who was that?

Speaker 3 (44:09):
I go, Kathy, my wife. She didn't like how I
was talking to Kyle before the game.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
Man, I you know what, I love it. It doesn't shock me.
It does not surprise me. You know why, Kyler, because
Ken's wife yelled at me a few times coaching her boys.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
But I love her. Hey, Kyler, thank you so much
for your time.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
Gospel golf dot com, gospelgolf dot Com, thank you so
much for the introductions that you have and you're going
to do in the future.

Speaker 2 (44:38):
And if there's anything that you need from us here.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
In Milwaukee, Kyler to promote gospel golf, please let us know.
Pastor's good to see you. If we got to get out.
