Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Greater South Florida Chamber Radio program with
your host, board President John Kroll of Kroll Realty.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It is Saturday,
the second of August twenty twenty five, and we're a
privileged to be here in West Palm Beach, Florida at iHeartRadio,
where we're now streaming on the iHeart app. I'm Rob
the director of Operations with the Greater South Florida Chamber
of Commerce. This is one of our weekly radio programs,
the best of South Florida. Business with me this morning
is Corporate Trusty Ambassador Brad Curtis. He and his father,
(00:39):
Tom Curtis, that's the name I know a lot of
people recognize. Are the founders CEO of River City's Gazette,
which is the primary paper which is now going digital,
by the way, for Miami Springs, throughout Virginia Gardens and
Medley and Brad's father, Tom was on the nineteen seventy
two World champion Dolphin. He's in the College Football Hall
(01:02):
of Fame for holding the record for the most interceptions
in a season. But their publication has been a staple
in Miami Springs for a number of years for decades.
So if you want to know what's going on in
Miami Springs, you want to be in contact with the
Curtis family, and you want to be involved with River
City's Gazette. And we're really excited about the partnership. We
just had an event there with them last Saturday. We
(01:23):
had four or five hundred people come through the Miami
Springs Adult Community Center. We're going to be back there
on September twentieth, October eighteenth, November twenty second, and December twentieth,
and I want everyone out there to know Brad's going
to talk a little bit this morning about some of
the new marketing campaigns that are accessible with River City's Gazette,
(01:45):
and I'm encouraging all of our chamber members and people
in our network that do business in that market to
make sure that they utilize it. It's one of our
premier vending opportunities, are premier vendor preferred vendor as well
for digital marketing as well as that advertising. So I
want to give you the floor this morning, Brad. Let
you talk a little bit about what's going on with
you in your organization.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Yes, hey, Rob, thank you for giving me this chance.
You know, we have formed a good collaboration here and
we scratch each other's back, and especially here in a
small town field, you keep it local and you find
your spots, you know. And right now I am at
Uncle Hank's Hideaway, which is my brother's restaurant actually, so
(02:28):
you know, we're all trying to leave our mark around
here and kind of carve our names in the stone,
and a great way to do that is right here
with the River Cityscazet obviously, and the next issue will
be our last print issue. We're going to a website
now and it's a kind of a mixed response from that,
(02:49):
so a lot of people like it, some people don't,
but you know, it's the only way to keep it
going so that you can continue to read an online
publication right here at www. Rivercityescazette dot net. And yes,
you were talking about our Holistic Healthfare event that was
last Saturday. It was a huge success and everybody was happy,
(03:11):
you know, vendors sold out of their product and the
masseuse kept going the whole time. It was huge, and
you know it's in the middle of the summer, so
you can if you can throw a successful event around here,
when everybody's on vacation. Then you're doing something right here
at the Holistic Healthfare inside the Miami Springs Adult Community Center.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
And I'll tell you what. Kudos and hats off to
you and your team for making the move to digital,
because all you're doing is expanding and progressing with the
times because that's where it's at you want to be digital.
Digital marketing is king these days, as they say, as
they used to say, cash is king. But I'll tell
you another thing that was king last Saturday were these
sliders from Hank's Eye Away. There were a number of
(03:53):
people who sampled those sliders at Your brother and his
organization put out outstanding food at Hank's Hideway. If you're
in the Miami Springs area, I suggest you stop in.
I know the burger is one of my favorites, but
they have several outstanding things on the menu and everything
I've had there has been good. So it's a really
neat place, real cool place to hang out and have
(04:13):
lunch and maybe have a beer or a glass of
water and check out the game. And once again, thank
you to your brother and your family for being supportive
last week. And we're looking forward to having you out
at all the upcoming events with us.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Yeah, those sliders were dropped head delicious and people were
waiting for my brother to walk away from the table
so they could get as many of those things as
possible and shove their pockets full of them. But you
can come here right on Canal Street in Miami strings
to Uncle Hank Hideaway. It's just a beautiful like a
(04:46):
Key West feel an indoor outdoor as a beer and
wine license, and they've always got something going on here,
whether it's you know, breakfast on Sundays with live music
or open mic night on Thursdays. It's just a nice
little hotpot hidden treasure here. Unfortunately on to now Street,
you know, it's kind of set off a side a
(05:08):
little bit, but we'll get it going. They just recently
started doing this, so just trying to help out the
family and spread the word not only about what I
have got going, but what my brothers got going here
and Uncle Hanks Hideaway.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
And kudos to you and your brother you're doing a
great job, both of you. And also wanted a special
shout out and thanks to Raymond Anton and his wife
their bands out of the Ashes. I know Ray works
with you behind the scenes at the Gazette. And obviously
he's a professional guitarist and he's one of the best
guitarists I've heard. There's a lot of guitars out there
(05:42):
that people don't know about. I encourage people if you
ever get a chance to come out and watch Ray
and his band, you definitely want to do it, or
if you ever get a chance to meet him in person.
Great guy. But he literally is a phenomenal guitarist, phenomenal
wonderful human being too, and he helps Brad, myself and
everyone else that's in involved with the Miami Springs ventures
(06:02):
that we're doing. And it's neat because you get the
mayor out Brad, you got the people from the city Council,
You've got people from the State House, people from the
US House of Representatives from their office were there, so
you know, it's a very busy place. It's very active
when it comes to an event because people take it
seriously because it is one of the last places where
(06:24):
you can go. You could go to Miami Springs and
if you were going to move there, you'd know that, Hey,
if I do leave my doors unlocked, I'm okay, my
kids are going to be okay O neighborhood watch programs.
There's police that live there, but very very very low
crime rate, and it's safe and it's a beautiful community,
very nice homes. It's a great location. You know, you
(06:47):
can get it in and out real quick, on and
off the Palmetto. Before you know it, you're out seventy
five going up into Broward so or you can take
across one, twelve, across to ninety five or all the
way out to the beach. But I'm excited about it.
My goal someday if I can never get the money together,
is to get down there. I'd love to live there.
It's a wonderful place. And to that gentleman who shall
(07:08):
remain unnamed, who last Saturday we caught you hijacking about
twenty of those sliders, I hope you enjoyed them. Make
sure make sure you go and buy a few among us.
But it was wonderful and I'm really looking forward to it. Brad,
before we sign off this morning, I know you're running
a couple of promotions. Go ahead and touch on those
before we sign off, and you give everyone year call
(07:30):
sign and phone number how they can get hold of you.
And they want to advertise.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Go ahead, right, yeah, I appreciate that. Ron and River
City to that. We are the co hosts of the
Friday night party at Whole nineteen where we have a
DJ and he sets up a nightclub feel. It's a
disco eighties freestyle night and it's always you know, positive energy,
good times. And I'll go live and broadcast and share
photos of that, and so you can keep up with
(07:56):
that here on our Facebook page. River City's Gazette on Facebook,
make sure you like and follow, and it's River City
Gazette loral form of city with Alph the God just
River Cities Gazette and the website is under construction www.
Rivercitiescazette dot net. And if you have any questions or
(08:17):
meat information, you can call me Brad Curtis, the publisher

on Saturday, August second. Have a wonderful weekend and God
bless my friend.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Yes, thank you very much. Rob out of the office Rock.

We roll with Kroll. Good morning, Welcome back to the show.
It is Saturday, August two, twenty twenty five. We are
privileged to be here in West Palm Beach, Florida at
iHeartRadio where we're not streaming on the iHeart app. I'm
Rob the director of Operations with the Greater South Florida
Chamber of Commerce. This is one of our weekly radio programs.
The best of South Florida business have with us longtime
corporate trusting, Ambassador's Performance Health Chiropractic and Stuart Disk Center.
(09:36):
And with us this morning is doctor Andrew Calderon, who
is one of the chiropractors there at Performance Health at
Chiropractic and they're located on Cannor Highway next to physicians
to women across from the Martin County Chamber of Commerce.
They have over twenty five years of success in their practice.
And remember, folks, success doesn't happen by accident. What I
(09:57):
want to do, I want to get out of your
way this morning, doctor Andrew. We give you seven eight
nine minutes to talk a little bit about what goes
on at your organization before they we do that, though,
I want people to understand this. One of their key
slogans is experience combined with innovation and technology, improving your
health to get you back to living the freedom lifestyle,
pain free. Go ahead, doctor Andrew.
Speaker 5 (10:20):
Yeah, Rob, thanks for having me on, so absolutely kind
of building off with what you're saying. With our slogan
experience combined with innovation and technology. One thing we're very
proud at with Performance Health and Chiropractical is we stay
on the cutting edge of technology with our profession chiropractic,
always bringing in the newest technology, with the newest research,
(10:40):
and staying on top of everything in terms of, you know,
the new medical knowledge that comes out. So we're always
providing our patients with the best, most advanced solutions, and
patients really appreciate that when their physicians are on top
of the medical literature and staying up on everything because
it's not the same old thing when you come to
our office, right, we always have something neat, we always
have something better, and we're always improving. So patients really
(11:01):
appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Absolutely. You know yourself and doctor Frank a little background.
I know that you're from that area. My memory shoves me. Correct,
you actually grew up in that area and you went
to high school there, and I know that you played sports.
I believe it was baseball in college.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
Correct, Yeah, you got it absolutely, so, Yeah, grew up
in Martin County specifically, Stewart went to South Fork High School,
was a member of the varsity baseball team. I actually
met doctor Frank when I was about fifteen. I had
a spondololis thesis or a stress fracture at my L
five Vertebra. Came to doctor Frank. Didn't really know much
about chiropractic at the time. Was a long term patient
(11:40):
of his. He got me better, he got me back
on the field. I was able to play professionally and collegiately.
And then we've developed a great relationship and now we've
been working together for about four years now. So it
kind of came full circle, but it's been great.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
So where did you play professionally, doctor Andrew?
Speaker 5 (11:58):
Yeah, so I played in California in a league called
the Paikos League. It's an independent professional baseball league for
a team called the High Desert Yardbirds in Atlanto, California,
which is in the Mohave Desert. So it's a bit
barren out there, but it was It was a great
experience to be able to play, you know, at a
high level.
Speaker 6 (12:15):
I enjoyed it.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
And then I went on to chiropractic school.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yeah. No, I grew up in San Diego, so I'm
very familiar with your Yeah, I know that.
Speaker 7 (12:22):
Area very well cool and yeah cool.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
And I know you mentioned it in previous interviews. Where
did you go to chiropractic school?
Speaker 8 (12:29):
So?
Speaker 5 (12:29):
I went to chiropractic school at Kaisei University in West
Palm Beach, all.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Right, And a lot of people when people hear stuff,
they think of Palmer or what's the other one that's
in Atlanta. That's very well known. I can't life right life,
but people don't. But people don't realize it. And I
urge people to google this because where you went to
chiropractic school at in West palmat Kaiser. It's one of
the it's kind of a hidden gym. It's a it's
known as an excellent school for kinesiology and science courses.
(12:57):
Correct exactly.
Speaker 5 (12:58):
Yeah, And it's all very research base. The program kind
of prides itself on, you know, staying up on the
research again with a profession, and that's kind of translated
into my professional career, you know, staying on top of
the literature and again providing the best solutions and the
most modern solutions for our patients.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
So and obviously you and doctor Frank keyon certified sports
chiropractic stuff, spinal decompression, computerized instrument adjusting and pro adjusters,
and I know a lot of stuff. People hear that
spinal decompression for disc problems and one of the key
things that I like when we do the events. Your
marketing guys, Steve Hedrick is awesome and anybody out there,
(13:38):
he's I work with a lot of them, hundreds of them,
and he's the best in my opinion. And I've stepped
anybody's toes by saying that I apologize, but I've watched
him when he pulls out the balance and stability testing
machine touch on that for the listening audience. That's not
everyone has that in their office.
Speaker 5 (13:53):
Yeah, so we we actually and we've updated that too
with a pro balanced seven twenty. The machine is we're
about only maybe fifteen to twenty offices in a country
that have this piece of technology. Not only is it
for you know, stability, coordination, but there's also cognitive rehab
as well, so post concussive syndrome or people that are
(14:14):
having memory issues or having issues recalling things. We're able
to train that brain basically like a muscle, work it out,
improve it and in the long run, you know, patients
are really benefiting from it. So really really cool piece
of technology. We're proud to have it in our office
and like I said, one of the few offices in
the country that actually have it.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
So I know there's another thing that people are It's
impossible to cover everything in one any of you. That's
why we'll be doing a series of these with you
over the next few months. But touch on laser and
percussion therapy.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Yeah, so we have multiple Class four lasers in the office.
So Class four laser works by penetrating through the tissues
and at a cellular level. So if you think tissue
or cellular regeneration, so think like tendons, ligaments, spread range strains.
What it does is that penet delight penetrates, stimulating what
we call mitochondria or ATP production to help tissues heal faster.
(15:09):
For cuss of therapy, it's something called mechanical motion therapy,
which again is a newer piece of technology we have
in the office, a little bit different than the vibratory
guns or the ferraguns that a lot of people have
for cussove therapy is going to stimulate these receptors in
the muscle, it's going to penetrate deeper, whereas vibratory therapy
like a farragun, is going to be a little bit
more superficial. So we're actually able to use the percussive
(15:32):
with the mechanical motion therapy through a range of motion. Right,
So while we're stimulating the muscles with a patient, we're
having them move through range of motions. You can treat shoulders, hips, ankles, needs,
basically any join in the body you can treat with
this machine and it helps improve range of motion, decrease pain,
and improve function. So you know, patients love it. It's
comfortable and it produces really fast results.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
And I know and I know one of your unique
offers that you have is free computerized balance and stability test.
Touch on that if you can.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
Yeah, absolutely, So we do complimentary balance instability testing with
the pro Balance seven to twenty, the machine we were
just talking about, And what that does is that machine
breaks it down into four quadrants, so we're able to
see where the balanced deficiency is if a patient, God
forbid where to fall, what quadrant are they having issues
and leaning towards is at the upper left, upper right,
(16:24):
bottom right, bottom left, and this produces one hundred measurements
per second. Actually, so it's a very equipment that we
can use that's very knowledgeable in terms of producing fast
results and getting those measurements that we need. And patients
love it because they get to see firsthand, like, oh,
this is where I'm having a balance defficiency, this is
where I need to improve on.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Yeah, I hear that music in the background. So we
got about half a minute to forty five seconds left
before we sign off this morning. Give everyone the best
contact information for you, how they can get a hold
of you and doctor Frank until we have you on
the next segment. Please, Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 5 (16:59):
Our office phone number is seven seven to two to
a six six two stick zero. We're located at eighteen
oh seven South Caner Highway and Stuart, Florida, right next
to Physicians to Women and right across the street from
Martin County Chamber of Commerce. More than welcome to give
our office a call for any questions, and we're more
than happy to help anyone that has any of the
issues that we talked about today.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
So once again it's been doctor Andrew Calderone from Performance
Health and Chiropractic Stuart Dissoner. Doctor, I want to thank
you for your time this morning, have a wonderful weekend,
and God bless my friend.
Speaker 5 (17:30):
Thank you you as well. Thank you so much.
Speaker 9 (17:38):
Injured in an accident, don't face the insurance companies alone.
Call Roads Law Group on Dixie Highway near Havana's Restaurant.
With over fifty years of combined legal experience, Janey and
Freddie Rhoades fight for injured victims. No case is too small,
trip or fall. Freddie fights for all available twenty four
to seven and they speak English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
(17:59):
They'll even come to you. Visit Rhodes Lawgroup dot com
or call five six one two five three two seven
two one. That's Rhodes Lawgroup dot com.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It is Saturday,
August two, twenty twenty five, and we're here this morning
at iHeartRadio in West Palm Beach, Florida, where we're privileged
to be streaming on the iHeart app. I'm Rob, the
director of Operations with the Greater South Florida Chamber of Commerce.
This is one of our weekly radio programs called the
Best of South Florida Business with us in studio this morning.
It's one of our newer corporate Trustee Ambassador's. Her name
(18:29):
is Tanya Franklin and she's the CEO and founder of
Sunshine Group Life. They specialize in term whole iuls, mortgage protection, annuities,
dental vision. Changing the narrative, one policy at a time
is one of their slogans and I like that very much.
Their phone numbers area code five six one eight two
five seven zero four to one. You can reach her
(18:51):
at Sunshine Group Life at gmail dot com or go
to www dot Sunshine group Life dot com. Now Tanya
is very well burst in this and the neat thing
about working with Tanya. She dots all the eyes, she
crosses all the tea. She's very thorough. I can only
speak for myself, but I feel that in America today,
regardless of what industry classification you're dealing with, unfortunately, customer
(19:14):
services could be a lost art. There are people that
you may reach out to that will take a substantial
period of time to get back to you. And you know,
Ham and Haw may give you a good reason, or
wasn't a good reason in your opinion, regardless, you're just thinking,
I want someone that's punctual and someone that I know
I can count on that will get back to me
if I need something. That's one thing that you can
(19:34):
know for sure about her, and the other thing too.
You can review her online. She's got an impeccable reputation.
She's extremely well versed in this and keep in mind
everything that she does. There's also another saying, prioritize your
life because my father goddressed his soul, who lived to
me ninety seven years of age. You got cancer at
ninety five, beat it, died of Alzheimer's at ninety seven.
(19:56):
He was at ninety three and four. He's going to
Europe still he was walking. He was lifting weights at
the gym, and he used to tell me, son, it's
not about the quantity of life, it's about the quality
of life. And I heard it at an event the
other day in Rivera Beach. Someone had stood up and said, look,
you know, if you don't take care of yourself, who's
going to take care of you. You don't want to
(20:17):
put your family in that burdensome position to not have
final expense, or not have some type of a plan,
or not have something in accountable that's feasible as far
as wealth management. What I want you to do tell
you talk a little bit about yourself and your background
on some of the key things that you do this morning,
because we're going to be doing a series of interviews
with you over the next few months, and I want
(20:38):
people to find out about you that may not know
about you.
Speaker 10 (20:40):
Go ahead, good morning, Robin. Thank you for having me on.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Absolutely it's a pleasure again.
Speaker 10 (20:45):
I am Tanya Franklin. I'm a licensed life insurance broker
with a master's in Public administration. I am locally here
from Riviera Beach, very well versed in the county. My
roots are here. I came from a municipality where I
did community work work. I work for the chiefs and
assistant chiefs, but a purpose was bigger for me to
reach out and touch my community a little more hands
(21:07):
on and seeing the need for insurance and teaching and
educating was very important to me because you see, in
this world where we've become, as my son likes to say,
microwave babies, everybody wants everything instantly, and we don't build,
we don't take the time to say, let's build something,
let's start doing this. And again, we're in a go
fund legacy right now, which is not really a legacy,
(21:29):
but it's a quick fix. So I don't really, you know,
talk about the gofund means, but I do like to
promote legacy because once that GoFundMe is gone, you still
have to live after that. So the importance for me
being out here and educating the community and making sure
that they have the proper insurance, not just having insurance,
but having the proper insurance is important.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
I agree, And unfortunately, there are a number of people
who are not prepared, that don't have a final expansion insurance,
they don't have any type of and there's a number
of people who don't even have health insurance. It's a
shame when you see that, because you know, if you
were to get severely injured and you had to go
into a facility, the bill will just be overwhelming. With
everything going on, with everything that's transpired in the last year,
(22:12):
it's pretty scary when you think about it. You know,
doing what you do, you work with people closely and
I'm sure you're working with their families and that they
say closely held because you being a small business owner,
you know your hands on which is a good thing,
and when you're dealing with people, you know you have
their vested interest at heart. What are some of the
key mistakes that people make that you see that are
(22:35):
common when they're trying to set up a health plan
or they're trying to set up an annuity or something
for their retirement.
Speaker 10 (22:43):
So some of the common mistakes is number one is
not really knowing what you have. The most common. I
think when people in middle age or younger adults, they
figure they have it all situated because they have a
job and they have insurance on the job. That job
insurance may not necessarily carry along with you if you
were to leave gap in service and so the first
thing you talk to someone, oh, I have insurance. I
(23:04):
have insurance. Until something happens. You know that you get
laid off unexpectedly and you don't find another job for
another eight to ten months, where during that time you
don't have anything, God forbid, what if something were to happen.
So I talk to people and I try to get
very crucial in detail information because just because you have
something on your job, I always encourage you to have
something outside.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
Correct.
Speaker 10 (23:24):
It's important correct.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
You know. And it's ironic you say that because I
can remember. I'm fifty eight now, so I couldn't remember.
I was in my late thirties early forties regardless, and
I was with the company and they went under and
there were big company and we were traveling all over
the country. So I remember transferring over on to Cobra,
and then I remember in twenty eighteen having to do
the same thing again, and it was completely different because
(23:48):
it's not like it used to be, and there's so
many things that have changed, and the liability really is
no longer with the former employer of the company. What
they's on you, Yeah, it is on you, and that's
why it's.
Speaker 10 (24:02):
It looks really different because where that employer is paying
a portion of it, now you're you have to satisfy
the whole whole coverage, I know. And so not only that,
when you're talking to people and you get people in
their twenties, thirties and forties and they're purchasing these homes
and things, you know, we want you to buy the home.
It's a blessing to be able to do. So we
want you to keep the home. So there's other options
(24:23):
of insurance. How you mentioned the annuities, Rather it's an IUL,
or rather it's a key person insurance. You want to
know your options because the living benefits of insurance is
it's outrageous where you you know, if something happens to
you today and you have a mortgage of say two
thousand dollars, right, can your spouse afford that mortgage?
Speaker 2 (24:43):
That's a good point, I would say most In most
cases you never want to guess, but I would say
the answer would be no, because the value of the dollar,
the way things have happened, and there's so much uncertainty,
specifically in twenty twenty five with a par a mount
change that we're enduring. And I'm not just talking from
the you know, national political level, like everybody always wants
(25:07):
to go to the White House or the Capitol Hill,
but I'm talking as a whole, the nation as a whole.
And there's so many different things that have transpired in
the new bill if you read it, if you read through,
which I'm sure you did, there's a lot of things
in there that people best be aware of, you bet,
because it's going to happen, or as Grandma used to say,
be like having the rug pulled out from underneath the feast.
And then when that happens, you know, they always say
(25:29):
you've only failed if you've failed to prepare. That's why
it's neat to see that you're out there doing these
things on wealth management, doing the different programs. And we're
excited because we have so many new dates coming up
here in Palm Beach County with the Palm Beach County
Department of Senior Services and Veteran Affairs, where we're going
to have you at those events as a vendor and
also lean on you to ask you if you be
(25:50):
kind enough to do a workshop in conjunction with the event.
On October first, we're going to be at the facility
on Lakeworth Road is what they call the Mid County
Senior Center and it is National Center or National Senior
Citizen Awareness Day. We're going to be there doing the
(26:10):
fair and I'm definitely going to have you there with us.
Speaker 10 (26:12):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
We got about a minute left. Where I want you
to do is give about your contact information and anything
that you're doing in your office that you want to
share with people that you want may want to reach
out to you to help them with. Go ahead again.
Speaker 10 (26:24):
My name is Tanya Franklin. I am a licensed life
insurance broker and the owner of Sunshine Group Life. I
help people build their legacy. I help people live provide
generational wealth to their families beyond the now, and it's
important to make sure you just start somewhere. You don't
have to start with the largest policy. They always ask
what's the best policy to have. It's the one that's
(26:46):
active when something happens.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Correct.
Speaker 10 (26:49):
So what we'll be doing, like Rob said, will be
doing lots of events in the near future. I look
forward to working with him. But this Sunday, if you
are available, we do have an event at Cunningham Park
in Rivera Beach and it is it back to School event.
But that's where we touch the kids and we touch
the parents because, like you may have heard, the other day,
we had an athlete to die on the field in conditioning.
(27:11):
Saw that and a lot of parents don't think that
we want to bury our parents, but sometimes we end
up burying our kids. But are we covered So that
back to school event. I will be there with along
with some other vendors, and we are going to give
away a lot of back to school stuff. It's with
K and T Teens of tomorrow and come out and
get this knowledge and get some school supplies for your kids.
It'll be a great day.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Awesome. That is awesome. That's tomorrow, folks at Cunningham Park.
I want to thank everybody for listening this morning. Antonia.
Always a pleasure to have you with us. Looking forward
to having you on next segment. Have a great event
tomorrow and a wonderful weekend.
Speaker 10 (27:44):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It is Saturday,
August second. Boy, the year's flying twenty twenty five. It
has been a warm one, it has already hot this morning.
We are here at iHeartRadio in West Palm Beach, Florida,
where we're now streaming on the iHeart app. I'm Rob
the director of Operations with the Greater South Florida Chamber
of Commerce. This is one of our weekly radio programs
called the Best of South Florida Business with us as
(28:42):
corporate trustee Ambassador's five Star Visibility and with me is
Steve Sunshine, who is one of their presidents. And Steve
start out right away this morning. I just want to
get right into it. Tell us what a digital marketing
agency can do for a small business, because there's so
many people people out there that don't understand Digital marketing
(29:03):
blows my mind, but it is the way it is
in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 6 (29:07):
Yep, yep. Some people are still back in the nineteen
nineties and two thousands and twenty ten, still operating their
business just like it. There wasn't that big monster called
the Internet. But you know, the a digital agency is
first and foremost there to help you devise the proper
digital marketing strategy to compete against your competitors and in
(29:32):
your marketplace with your unique selling proposition. Their goal is
to craft all the assets, all the insight and everything
that you have to offer as a client and figure
out how to position you in the marketplace to win customers.
It's you know, it's a doggy dog world out there,
(29:52):
and you have to beat the competitors. If someone's searching
for tires, they're probably not just going to look at
one place. They may look on sign for two, three, four,
see what jumps out at them, See who's having a sale,
See who's close by, See who represents properly, who carries
the brands. So the strategy is first and foremost what
(30:12):
a digital agency does. Then they have the expertise and
the talent to implement that strategy. And what an agency does,
much better than any individual client can do, is they
monitor the performance and read all the data signals, insights, analytics,
and continually adjust your marketing plan to drive results. You
(30:36):
can't really set it and forget it. It just doesn't
work in the competitive market space called the Internet and
digital marketing. So that's the main things you.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Know, Steve, What types of businesses would really need to
look to a digital marketing agency to help them grow
or even just maintain a minimum level of to keep
the doors open.
Speaker 6 (31:02):
Yeah, that's a great question, glad one of us thought
of it. The typical small business has real limitations. Okay,
first and foremost, they probably have no digital marketing expertise.
They may have some insight, they may have some strong logic,
they may be successful business or entrepreneurs, but digital marketing
(31:24):
expertise is a very small subset of marketing, and you
really have to understand the trends, what works, what doesn't work,
to stay ahead of the curve. You can launch things
today that were great and popular and made sense five, ten,
fifteen years ago, but they're not going to be effective.
So number one, no digital marketing experience. The typical small
(31:46):
business suffers from Number two is they nine times out
of ten they have limited staff, resources. Everybody is doing
everything they can to keep the business afloat. They don't
have somebody sitting in the corner saying what can I
do today? Can I do some digital marketing? And he's
free for eight hours or the week or the next
month to implement, manage, and drive your online marketing. Third,
(32:11):
you know, the old marketing methods just don't work like
they used to, so you have to continually change, upgrade, revamp, tweak,
and you have to do it very systematically. You can't
just say, you know, last week we sold blue shirts.
This week, let's sell red shirts and see if it's
going to work. There's lots of data that you can
use to base these decisions on ahead of time, and
(32:35):
then as the campaigns are running and as your business
is utilizing all the assets on the internet, you monitor
every day. Last the competitors have gone have grown and
adapted to digital marketing much faster than you guys have done.
So that's a real limitation is that your competitors are
(32:58):
outpacing you. You really have to identify the competitors that
are in your way. And one way to tell is
that if you were shopping for the products that you sell,
or services you provide in your local area, and you
did a simple search on Google, who would come up
right next to you? Okay, that's one set of competitors.
(33:18):
You're online competitors. Another set of competitors are people around
your location. So if someone's driving down the street and
McDonald's on one side of the street and Wendy's on another,
they're direct competitors because of proximity. So those four things
digital marketing expertise, limited staff resources, old marketing methods, and
highly competitive fields. Those are the typical small business limitations
(33:43):
or hurdles that they all must get over.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
Steve, tell us about your digital marketing agency five star visibility.
Speaker 6 (33:53):
Sure, I'd be happy to We're a young company, but
lots of experience. We were born about three years ago
based on the two owners who owned very substantial and
successful software and IT businesses in the Fort Lauderville area,
and they've been providing digital marketing type services as one
(34:15):
of the services they provide in their normal day to
day business. They got together and decided to build a
marketing agency and launch it under its own flag and
then service their own companies and open it up to
the world. So the companies have been operating for approximately
twenty plus years. Me personally, I've been a digital marketing
expert for over thirty years when websites just got started
(34:40):
and Google wasn't even born yet. That's where I've been
learning my craft and my trade and learning my expertise.
We're located in Fort Lauderdale, right off of Cypress Creek Road,
about a block or two west of ninety five on
Cypress Creek. We welcome you to come into the office
sit down with us. One of the big advantages we
(35:01):
have as a local digital marketing agency in this area,
you know, South Florida, is that we encourage you to
come into our office or we'll visit your location and
you have a face and a team to look and
to reach out to very close by. Most companies will
tell you I got a guy, and the guy is
either a young gentleman who or a lady who's working
(35:24):
it and learning it, or they have a guy in
another country that's you know, fourteen time zones away and
hard to get hold of. But when you have a
serious business and it means everything to you and your
employees and your future, you really need to work with
local companies. They have an advantage because there you face
to face. They have an advantage that we know the
(35:46):
local markets and the trends, and we're in the community.
So we really think that dealing with local marketing agency
is the right way to go. One of the things
that we really pride ourselves on is that we are
business people first. There's technology people, there's programmers, and sometimes
(36:07):
if you've ever talked to a high technology person, you
really have no idea what they're talking about. What we
talk is business. We want to do the things that
make sense for your business. We learn your business, We
get involved as much as you'll let us get involved,
and understanding your business is the first step to developing
the right strategy. If you've got a guy in a
(36:28):
foreign country that barely speaks English, he's not going to
understand your business, your market, or anything like that, or
be able to respond to you quickly and be a
drive away in case you need them. So again, we're
in Fort Lauderdale. Our phone number is nine to five
four two eight nine five five five five. You can
call me directly. I'm the president of the company. I
(36:50):
handle most of the sales, and I'll be happy to
sit down with you and work with you and understand
your business and design the right strategy to make you successful.
Our website is five Star Visibility dot com. Five is
the number five Starvisibility dot com.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Steve, that's awesome. Can you also tell the listening audience
about the free digital marketing evaluation for listeners members of
our organization, whether you're a member or you're part of
our network today, provided by the Greater South Florida Chamber
and five Star Visibility. Can you elaborate on that please?
Speaker 3 (37:28):
Sure.
Speaker 6 (37:30):
A great starting point for the relationship for a company
and an agency is getting an honest evaluation in addition
to star a good start for a relationship. Most businesses,
I would say ninety nine percent of them, if they
don't have a person that's one hundred percent dedicated for
(37:50):
digital marketing in their employee that works from every day,
they really don't have a handle on what is working
and what's not working. That's our experience. So what we
offer is a very easy to understand business level evaluation
of your social media, of your website, of your Google
(38:11):
business profile, for your local marketing and your SEO. It's
about a five page report that we do takes us
a couple of days a human being does it. It's
not a simple spit out report from an AI machine.
We look and analyze and look for opportunities, things you're
doing wrong that are easy to correct, and we give
you a simple ABCD or F grade so you can
(38:33):
kind of get a benchmark of where you are. Because
many owners or managers say, you know, we're doing great,
we got to sale from the website last week, But
if you ask them, is the website performing the way
it's supposed to do? Is it fast? Is the messaging clear?
Is everything working? Nobody really understands unless you're a professional
(38:54):
in this industry, and that's what our agency is. So
we offer a free evaluation if you go to five
Star Visibility slash Chamber. There's a simple fewline sign up
form to get a free evaluation, no obligation, no money,
and then we'll give us a couple of days. We'll
have one of our experts analyze all your different parts
(39:16):
of your digital marketing and give you this report, no cost,
no obligation, and it's a great snapshot. If it was
me running a small business, I'd get this service done
once a year and really see the areas I need
to improve on. And develop a plan to improve those
areas that you clearly laid out. Now, not all areas
are addressable, Like if you don't have an Instagram account,
(39:41):
you've got to make a decision does that make sense
for your company even though you should have one in
a general answer, But you may not need one because
your company is not really that lends itself to that
type of marketing. So you might get a failing grade
on Instagram, but you might say, know what, we don't
need it this year, but next year maybe we can
(40:03):
develop a winning strategy for it. So again, go to
five Star Visibility slash Chamber. You can order your your evaluation,
give us a few days to execute it. We'll email
it to you and then we'll follow up and have
a discussion and answer all your questions and concerns and
make sure you really understand what you're doing right and
what you're doing wrong. And I think that's a perfect
(40:25):
start of a relationship where we can prove to you
that we can help you, you know, for very low cost.
You know, nothing upfront. It's a service provided by the
Chamber through through our agency. You can thank the Chamber
for this program and we'll be happy to evaluate everything
that we can find out about your company.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
Steve Lastie, What are some of the most common issues,
failures and missed opportunities small businesses are challenged with.
Speaker 6 (40:53):
Sure, it's pretty it's almost comical that every company really
has generally the same problems. You know they you know, first,
it's their website. They built it a few years ago,
a guide did it for him, and they never really
understood if it's working, not working, going better, doing better,
(41:13):
growing because they thought that they're you know, they're five
hundred dollars or two thousand or ten thousand dollars investment
two years ago should last them for years. But that
is the number one thing that's wrong. A website to
be effective has to be current, updated with the most
current and exciting offers, products, services, the ways you explain
(41:37):
your business. You have to remove the old stuff that's
no longer visible. You have to make sure that everything
works smoothly and fast, because this is how customers judge you.
If a customer searches online for tires, let's say tires,
and they find your website and the website is slow
and it's not organized, and the pictures are old and
(41:59):
it doesn't seem like it's talking about the right things
that your company offers. Today, you lose very clearly and
very quickly. You will never get a penny out of
that customer. If you would keep your website, you know, updated, current, exciting,
with the trends, with the right information, and people see it,
(42:21):
they're going to get your best foot forward. They're going
to see your best face. So that's what you want.
It's just like, you know, if you have a team
of twelve salespeople, you would love it if every potential
lead talk to you just your best sales person, but
you have to spread it out to all twelve. Your
website should be your best sales person. It should. You
(42:43):
should stop at no expense or no effort to make
sure that is first class. If you want to be
successful driving traffic and sales and customer support and customer
satisfaction with your digital properties and your website. So website
is number one, number two, and I'll roll through this
a little quicker. Social media, most companies just post randomly
(43:07):
a social media post, Hey it's his birthday, or this
was a party at the office, without a real strategy.
You have to bring value. If you want to get
value from your customers. So what is it that they
need will entertain them, inform them, keep them coming back.
Brand awareness. You have to have the right strategy. Most
(43:30):
social media profiles or from a company really has no
rhyme or reason or no method. Lastly, I want to
discuss your Google Business profile. This is the biggest mistake
that customers make locally because Google Business Profile is a
free service from Google. It will drive phone calls, website visits,
(43:50):
and bodies to your door getting directions. It's a free
service from Google, and most companies don't even optimize it.
They don't put any f in it. We offer a
monthly marketing program to manage and optimize your Google Business
profile through the Chamber. It's regularly six ninety nine. It's
only three ninety nine a month, and we will drive
(44:14):
business to your door through Google. So when someone searches
you'll see your results in the map pack. They'll be
able to find you, call you and then give you
some money, hopefully to close the sale.
Speaker 2 (44:25):
Awesome, Steve, Once before we sign up, will you give
everyone the phone number and web address one more time
I they can get ahold of you.
Speaker 6 (44:32):
Sure again. My name is Steve Sunshine. I'm the president
here at five Star Visibility at five Starvisibility dot com.
Five the number five and our phone number. You can
call me direct rings on my desk nine five four
two eight nine five five five five located in on
(44:52):
Cypress Creek Road just west of ninety five.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Steve want to thank you for your time this morning.
Had a wonderful weekend and God bless my friend.
Speaker 6 (45:02):

Speaker 2 (45:41):
Good morning, It's Saturday, August two, twenty twenty five. We're
privileged to be here at iHeartRadio in West Palm Beach, Florida,
where we're now streaming on the iHeart app. My name's Rob.
I'm the director of Operations with the Greater South Florida
Chamber of Commerce. This is one of our weekly radio
programs called the Best of South Florida Business. And our
final guest this morning is Agnes don and I have
an angel from New Care Partners, and what I'd like
(46:03):
for you to do is give out your pertinent contact information,
web address, phone number how people can get a hold
of you, because what you're doing is a little bit
unique in the sense of traditional things within that industry classification.
And what I want people to do is pay attention
to what we're talking about this morning, because they have
some fresh ideas and they're controlling cutting edge technology within
(46:23):
the sector. What I'd like for you to do is
take a few minutes to introduce yourselves and let's have
a couple of questions I want to ask you this morning.
Speaker 7 (46:30):
Okay, terrific.
Speaker 8 (46:30):
Well, I will start with myself. I'm Agnes DONNERD and
again I work with New Health Partners. My contact number
is seven eighty six five seven one zero three four
three and my email address is Agnes A. G. N
Ees at New Health Partner without BS dot com. I
(46:54):
currently work for the brokerage side of the agency side
of our business, but I brought Angel pees with me
that he has a wealth of knowledge regarding the company
and I'll let him dig in a little bit more
after he talks about his contact information as well.
Speaker 7 (47:11):
Thank you, Agnes, Rob, thank you for having us. We're
Angel Perez uh New Help Partner. I am Actually my
background is on the creative side, so I'm the creative
director for the company. So I've seen all the branding
elements and everything that we bring, including a lot of
the technology. So I've been a bridge to, you know,
to carry the message to you know, both uh the
(47:34):
potential anyone needing health insurance and also all the agents
and carriers that are that are part of the uh
the space in the industry.
Speaker 5 (47:43):
UH.
Speaker 7 (47:43):
My website is New Health Partner dot com. Again about
the s and I am Angel at New Hope Partner
dot com.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
Angel. There's a couple of things that separate you significantly
from other people within the industry, you know, rather than
the norm of people, for lack of better grammar, touch
on what it is that you feel is a little
bit different about your organization versus some of the other
companies that are out there go ahead. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (48:12):
So I think it comes down to really the tone
of our CEO.
Speaker 8 (48:17):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (48:17):
He he has his name is Tony Sejo and he
really I mean he's he started the company and he
really got into this business from the ground up, and
he sets the tone as far as the humanity side
of the company and also not just that but in
the practical sense the technology part. So he is I
make you know, I have a lot of funowed with
my tongue. And he's a cool nerd. So he's really
(48:39):
into all the all the new toys and all the
technology that's coming out.
Speaker 6 (48:43):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (48:43):
And he's really incorporated. But more than that, he's just
a great human being. The way he's done you know,
it's it seems it's very corporate, it's very uh it
could be cold sometimes, but the way he's approached that
he's helped so many people. And he says, you know
someone who is death for it, that needs coverage because
they have they can't cover a surgery, or they can't
(49:04):
cover but they have a new medical condition. He's really
gone out of his way to help him in every way.
So it's a rewarding side and He's instilled in everyone
in the company as far as you know, helping you know, individuals, families, companies, employers, employees.
So that's really setting the tone on his.
Speaker 6 (49:23):
Side, you know.
Speaker 2 (49:25):
That's I'm glad that you touched on that because I
was speaking about that with Agnes a few weeks ago.
I'm fifty eight, fifty nine this year and last year
for other than athletic injuries. First time in my life
I ever had to go through anything and a couple
of tumors removed. It was really pretty scary because I
had to have two laproscopic procedures done within a thirty
day window, and then prior to that, during my pre op,
(49:45):
I came up aphib and I didn't even know what
it was, and it was just really really puzzling and
perplexing to go through that. But one of the things
that attracted me to your company from the onset was
you were so punctual. Like when I had asked for
some to look up a couple of different things for
me regarding certain things, from a prescription to a question
I had about certain coverages, you were just very thorough
(50:08):
got back to me like within a matter of hours,
and that's not the norm. You know, a lot of
times people are left in limbo, and there's nothing worse
than having something that's going on within your life that
you have no control over and you want nothing more
than to be able to come up with a viable option.
You know, it's just an unsolved opportunity at that point,
but it can be perplexing, And that was one of
(50:29):
the things I think to be done. It really really
impressed me about your organization, and then I took a
look at your organization from top to bottom. Online you
have a stellar of five star reviews. There's a number
of people out there who have had positive experiences working
with your company, and we all know that that's not
necessarily the way it always goes within that industry, or
any industry for that matter, because unfortunately, in twenty twenty five,
(50:52):
we've found that a customer service can be a lost
art regardless of who you're dealing with. But I think
it's really neat to see a company out there like
years it's taking the extra time to dot the eyes,
cross all the t's and make sure that the people
you're dealing with are left with a good feeling. That's amazing.
Speaker 7 (51:08):
Oh, we appreciate that that that's a great testimonial. Actually,
Robert really appreciate that. And I hope you're doing okay.
And yes, that's really the sign of the times. As
you get older. You take a lot of this for
granted as you're young and you're not in need, but
when when the moment comes in, you're, you know, you're
you're you're looking for answers. I think there's just having
the calmness that you can have someone that's really looking
(51:31):
out for you. I think it makes it. Again, it's
set by Tony's direction and leadership that he is. You know,
he's he did it from the ground up. He's helped
multiple families, he's you know, the way he's approached it
is a very on the human side and of the
business side. So we're you know, we're we're all trying
to lead in his example. And and uh, again, that's
a great testimonment. So I appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (51:53):
That's amazing. I'm hearing that music in the background. We
got about half a minute to a minute left. I
want you to give out your contact information again and
I want to have you on next week again and
want to do a segment. You know, coming into twenty
twenty five, there's so much noise, a lot of change
within the landscape of Medicare and Medicaid, and I want
to have you on so we can touch on that
as we get ready to go into open enrollment in
(52:14):
twenty twenty twenty five. But go ahead where we signed
up this morning and give out your contact information one
more time.
Speaker 8 (52:20):
Okay, and this is Agnes Donner. We're New Health Partners.
I can be reached at seven eighty six five seven
one zero three four three, and my email address is
Agnes at New Health Partner minus CS dot com.
Speaker 7 (52:35):
Angel and yes, it's Angel pros. It's Angel at Newhealth
Partner dot com. And while we really appreciate that, and
we're we're very much taken you know what's coming in
as far as the changes in the in the health
industry out o out of Washington. So that's one we
are very active with CMS. That's one of the tonies
(52:56):
always in visiting Washington. So I think that would be
a great opportunity for us to really get into that
all the changes over coming. So I appreciate that, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (53:04):
Want to thank you for being with us. We're now
signing off from iHeartRadio on West Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday,
the twelfth of July twenty twenty five. That a wonderful weekend.
Speaker 8 (53:13):
You thank you.
Speaker 1 (53:19):
You've been listening to the Greater South Florida Chamber Radio
program with your host to board President John Kroll of
Kroll Realty
