Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Greater South Florida Chamber Radio program with
your host to board president John Kroll of Kroll Realty.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It's Saturday, the
twelfth of July twenty twenty five, and we are privileged
to be here at iHeartRadio in West Palm Beach, Florida.
We're now streaming on the iHeart app. My name is Robham,
the director of Operations with the Greater South Florida Chamber
of Commerce. This is one of our weekly radio programs
called the Best of South Florida. Business have with us
a couple of new Corporate Trustee Ambassadors have Agnes Donnert
(00:40):
and I have Angel from New Care Partners. And what
I'd like for you to do is give out your
pertinent contact information, web address, phone number how people can
get a hold of you, because what you're doing is
a little bit unique in the sense of traditional things
within that industry classification. And what I want people to
do is pay attention to what we're talking about this morning,
because they have some fresh ideas and they're controlling cutting
(01:02):
edge technology within the sector. What I'd like for you
to do is take a few minutes to introduce yourselves
and let's have a couple of questions I want to
ask you this morning.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Okay, terrific.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
Well, I will start with myself. I'm Agnes DONNERD and
again I work with New Health Partners. My contact number
is seven eighty six five seven one zero three four
three and my email address is Agnes A g n E.
S at New Health Partner without thes dot com. We
(01:34):
I currently work for the brokerage side of the agency
side of our business, but I brought Angel Perez with
me that he has a wealth of knowledge regarding the
company and I'll let him dig in a little bit
more after he talks about his contact information as well.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Thank you, Erness, Rob, thank you for having us. We're
Angel Perez New Hope Partner. I am Actually my background
is on the career ata such. I'm the created director
for the company, so I've seen all the branding elements
and everything that we bring, including a lot of the technology.
So I've been a bridge to, you know, to carry
the message to you know, both UH the potential anyone
(02:16):
needing health insurance and also all the agents and carriers
that are that are part of the UH the space
of the industry. My website is New health Partner dot
com again about thes and I am Angel at New
Hope Partner dot com.
Speaker 5 (02:31):
Angel.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
There's a couple of things that separate you significantly from
other people within the industry, you know, rather than the norm,
if you will, for lack of better grammar, touch on
what it is that you feel is a little bit
different about your organization versus some of the other companies
that are out there.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Go ahead. Yeah, So I think it comes down to
really the tone of our CEO.
Speaker 6 (02:57):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
He he has his name is Tony Feijo and he
really I mean he's he started the company and he
really got into this business from the ground up, and
he sets the tone as far as the humanity side
of the company and also not just that, but in
the practical sense the technology part. So he is I
make you know, I have a lot of followed with
my thumb. And he's a cool nerd. So he's really
(03:19):
into all the all the new toys and all the
technology that's coming out. Uh and he's really incorporated. But
more than that, he's just a great human being. The
way he's done. You know, it's it seems it's very corporate.
It's very Uh, it could be cold sometimes, but the
way he's approached that, he's helped so many people and
he says everything, you know, someone who is desperate that
(03:40):
needs coverage because they have they can't cover a surgery,
or they can't cover but they have a new medical condition.
He's really gone out of his way to help him
in every way. So it's a rewarding side. And he's
instilled that in everyone in the company. Uh as far
as you know, helping you know, individuals, families, companies, employers, employees.
(04:01):
So that's really setting the tone on his side.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
You know.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
That's I'm glad that you touched on that because I
was speaking about that with Agnes a few weeks ago.
I'm fifty eight, fifty nine this year and last year
for other than athletic injuries. First time in my life
I ever had to go through anything, and I had
a couple tumors removed. It was really pretty scary because
I had to have two laproscopic procedures done within a
thirty day window. And then prior to that, during my
(04:25):
pre op, I came up aphib and I didn't even
know what it was, and it was just really really
puzzling and perplexing to go through that. But one of
the things that attracted me to your company from the
onset was you were so punctual. Like when I had
asked for someone to look up a couple of different
things for me regarding certain things, from a prescription to
a question I had about certain coverages, you were just
(04:48):
very thorough got back to me like within a matter
of hours. And that's not the norm. You know, a
lot of times people are left in limbo, and there's
nothing worse than having something that's going on within your
life that you have no control all over and you
want nothing more than to be able to come up
with a viable option. You know, it's just an unsolved
opportunity at that point, but it can be perplexing, and
(05:08):
that was one of the things I think to be done.
It really really impressed me about your organization, and then
I took a look at your organization from top to bottom.
Online you have a stellar of five star reviews. There's
a number of people out there who have had positive
experiences working with your company, and we all know that
that's not necessarily the way it always goes within that industry,
or any industry for that matter. Because unfortunately, in twenty
(05:31):
twenty five, we've found that a customer service can be
a lost art regardless of who you're dealing with. But
I think it's really neat to see a company out
there like yours that's taken the extra time to dot
the eyes, cross all the t's and make sure that
the people you're dealing with are left with a good feeling.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
That's amazing.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Oh well, we appreciate that. That's a great testimonial. Actually,
Rober really appreciate that. And I hope you're doing okay.
And yes, that's really the sign of the times.
Speaker 7 (05:57):
As you get older, you take a.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Lot of this for granted, young and not in need,
but when when the moment comes in, you're you know,
you're you're you're looking for answers. I think there's just
having the calmness that you can have someone that's really
looking out for you. I think it makes it again.
It's set by Tony's direction and leadership that he is, uh,
you know, he's he did it from the ground up.
(06:19):
He's helped multiple families, he's you know, the way he's
approached it is a very on the human side and
of the business side. So we're you know, we're we're
all trying to lead in his example and and uh,
again that's a great TESTI moment, So I appreciate that if.
Speaker 8 (06:33):
You want to.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
Yeah, And I just want to add to that, Rob.
You know, what I'd like to say is we are
fortunate enough that because Tony, you know, uh, was able
to start this from the bottom up. Not only do
we we have many resources, so that's another reason why
we're able to help lend a hand when necessary. Not
only are we one of the largest fmos in the
(06:55):
United States, we also have an FMO okay, where we
managed positions. We also have an IT company that falls
under our umbrella. We also have a university where we
license on a point agent throughout the United States. We
have locations throughout the United States. We have location in Texas.
And you help me out here, Angel, you know if
(07:18):
I miss something here.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
But no, you're doing great. I think we're branching into
Georgia as well. But yeah, we're in I think.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Actually all fifty fie so yeah, and then we also
have thirteen medical clinics under our you know, under our belt.
So not only does he have the heart, but we
also have the resources to do the things that we
do within the community, and I think it makes it
that much easier to do what we have to do
and be who we are as in the community.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
That's amazing. I'm hearing that music in the background. We
got about half a minute to a minute left. Want
you to give out your contact information again, and I
want to have you on next week again and want
to do a segment. You know, coming into twenty twenty five,
there's so much noise, a lot of change within the
landscape of Medicare and Medicaid, and I want to have
you on so we can touch on that as we
get ready to go into open enrollment in two twenty
(08:08):
twenty twenty five. But go ahead before we signed up
this morning and give out your contact information.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
One more time.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Okay, And this is Agnes Donner. We're New Health Partners.
I can be reached at seven eighty six five seven
one zero three four three, and my email address is
Agnes at New Health Partner minus CS dot com.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Angel and yes it's Angel for us, it's Angel at
new health Partner dot com. And while we really appreciate
that and we're we're very much taken. You know, what's
coming in as far as the changes in the in
the health industry out o out of Washington, So that's
one we are very active with CMS. That's one of
(08:49):
the tonies always in visiting Washington. So I think that
would be a great opportunity for us to really get
into that all the changes that are coming. So I
appreciate that absolutely.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
And before we sign up, the morning on the twenty
sixth of July, from noon until five pm, you can
see this and Angel on their team with us at
the Miami Springs Adult Community Center for the Senior Expoe
Holistic Healthfare. I want to thank you for being with us.
We're now signing off from iHeartRadio on West Palm Beach,
Florida on Saturday, the twelfth of July twenty twenty five.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
By a wonderful weekend.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
I'm Rob, the director at the Greater South Florida Chamber
of Commerce www dot Greater South Florida Chamber dot com.
Nine five four five eight zero eight eight zero two.
You're listening to one of our weekly radio programs here
at iHeart. If you're interested in becoming a guest on
the show, or advertising with daily and weekly commercials or

(09:48):
reach out to us at nine five four five eight
zero eight eight zero two. Good morning, Welcome back to
the show. It is Saturday, July twelfth, twenty twenty five.
We're a privileged to be here in West Point Beach, Florida.
iHeartRadio wo We're now streaming on the iHeart app. I'm
Rob the director of operations with the Greater Self Florida
Chamber of Commerce. One of our weekly radio programs, the
(10:08):
Best of South Florida Business have both this new corporate
trustee Ambassador's Sunshine Group Life LLC, and I'm with the CEO,
Tanya Franklin. They specialize in term whole insurance, IULS, mortgage protection, annuities,
dental vision. She kind of does a little bit of everything.
And what I'd like for you to do give out
(10:29):
your pertinent contact information phone number, web address, and I
want to talk a little bit about your background because
you have a plethora of experience and it's all been
positive experiences from what I've been able to review online
and I know you come well recommended and we're excited
about helping you brand with our network because we want
to make your services accessible for people within our membership
(10:50):
base as well as within our network.
Speaker 9 (10:52):
Go ahead, Tanya, good afternoon. Thank you for having me Rob.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
Yep.
Speaker 10 (10:56):
My name is Tanya Franklin and I am a licensed
life broker here in the state of Florida.
Speaker 9 (11:02):
I am licensed in multiple states.
Speaker 10 (11:04):
I specialize in just what you said, in the whole
realm of life insurance. So my goal is to help
families prepare and leave a legacy, not just bury a
family member, making sure they understand the living benefits of
life insurance, making sure they understand the urgency to get
life insurance. Helping families leave a legacy and not a
(11:26):
burden is what I've pride myself do and that's why
you see my slogan there. Changing the narrative, one policy
at a time. All policies do something different. So it's
important to know what you have. It's important to know
that if you're employed, what do you do after employment
and can you carry those things with you? So I
am a Riviera Beach, Florida native born and raised. I
(11:47):
still live here in the city. I was in a
municipality at Riviera Beach working for them for almost seventeen
years and you know, it was a push to do
something different. I thought my purpose was a little bigger
and staying grounded in my culture and my beliefs and
making sure that the community is aware of what's available
to them. So I stepped out on faith and took
(12:08):
this chance and said, Okay, there's a bigger purpose for
me out here. And as I approached it and started
getting into it, it was like amazing to me that
what people didn't know and what they weren't aware of,
and to get those oh my gosh, I have something.
But so that's where the conversation starts. So I made
it my business to be out here at least quarterly.
(12:30):
I host quarterly events here in the city in Rivere
Beach at the Marina Event Center. We do have an
upcoming event on Sunday. And what we do there is
we talk legacy. We talk leaving a legacy to your family.
We talk generational wealth, We talk about wills and trusts
and things that you need to do to be prepared.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
I definitely like that. I'm gonna go out on a limit.
Guess you're in the lumnits from some coast high school.
Speaker 9 (12:57):
I am. I am Chargers go chargersat.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
School grade school.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
A lot of people have come out of there, I
tell you, professionally and from an athletic standpoint, I like
Rivera Beach. To me, it's kind of a hidden gym
because it's you know, you're in between West Palm Beach,
the most northern part and then Singer Island, and it
kind of gets left out in the cold from time
to time. And I don't like to use that terminology,
but beautiful community, access to the water, You got the
(13:22):
ports there, you know, obviously the Marina Village and Peanut
Island are beautiful. And I like what you're doing though,
helping people with the legacy and with wealth management, because
you know, I saw statistics the other day that was frightening,
and they said that seven out of ten people in
America today have less than five thousand dollars in the bank.
They basically live paycheck to paycheck, hand the mouth for
(13:44):
lack of better grammar, and nine out of ten of
them don't even have final expense insurance. And I thought
to myself, that is a burden to your children and
your family, because if you pass away and you perish
and you're unprepared, you're looking at a minimum of thirty
to fifty thousand dollars them, and God forbid, there's an
ambulance bill or a state to the emergency room and testing,
(14:05):
diagnostics and stuff along those lines that can be really
detrimental to your bank account and to your credit score,
let alone the blemish that it leaves for your family
and the burden it puts on them. So I want
to be supportive of your legacy group because the things
that you're talking about and the things that you're king
on are very very important.
Speaker 7 (14:23):
You know.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
I think that's everybody today, specifically in twenty twenty five,
is worried are we going to make it? Will I
make it through the year? Am We're going to make
it through the month, through the year.
Speaker 5 (14:34):
They get fall subject to all.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
The noise and whatnot, and you know, the glasses always
half full, and myself, I just put in God's hands
and say.
Speaker 9 (14:43):
You know, every day, got to let them drive, every day,
got to.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Let the Good Lord drive and be thankful for what
we have and not worry about what we don't have.
And you know, I could feel that in you when
I beforebably even met you. You can feel that, you know,
when someone has a belief in their creator and because
it shows in their personality. People that don't have that,
I know, pray for them. I wish they did, because
you know that for myself, I don't think I would
(15:06):
have made it through last year without faith in the Lord.
I don't because it was very trying. And you know,
from a person that doesn't like to go to the hospital,
I can't say negative about the hospital system, but I
can see.
Speaker 5 (15:18):
Why there are people out there that have their.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Opinions and why they're formed because it was not a
pleasant stay and we've.
Speaker 10 (15:23):
Been tested, We've been tested and even going through COVID,
I mean there was it was a lot oh well,
and that's where you had to have that faith of
a mustard seed to say, yes, we are going to
get through this.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Yeah no, And I think that that's very important. Now, yourself,
with your organization, what do you feel I know there's
a lot of companies out there that may do similar
things or have some of the same services, but within
your infrastructure, your day to day, within your company, what
do you feel it is that you do a little
bit differently than other people and where you may be
(15:54):
able to have some expertise on how you can help individuals.
Speaker 10 (15:58):
So what I like about what I'm doing. I love
talking to people and teaching and educating. What I like
about Sunshine Group life and me being a broker versus
an agent. I'm contracted with multiple countries. So insurance, we
know is not a one size fit all. Because you
may come to me and say, hey, Tanya, I just
had cancer last year, or you may have some type
(16:19):
of terminal illness, or you may be having a pacemaker.
Insurance is not a one size fit all. Every company
doesn't have that advantage because they can only write for
their particular company. Being the broker, I'm able to sit
down with you. I asked the hard questions because we
want to make sure we put you in the proper position.
So when we're talking, it's important to say, okay, I'm
(16:40):
taking this, or I've had this or how long ago.
And a lot of people don't know the insurance factors
like you mentioned the credit scores, you have, your age,
you have, your medical background, you have, your criminal background,
and your driving record are all factors of getting life insurance.
So it's important to take the time with your client
custom and ask those hard questions that we don't always
(17:02):
want to ask that is true?
Speaker 5 (17:04):
That is true? You know, Tanya, we got about a
minute left.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
What I want for you to do is give out
your contact information again, let people know how they can
get a hold of you, touch on what you've got
going on on Sunday, and then I want to make
sure we're going to be doing a series of interviews
with you over the next few months, and I want
to make sure that we get an opportunity to get
your name out there to the people within our network,
because obviously you're very well established.
Speaker 10 (17:26):
And we look forward to working with you absolutely again.
My name is Tanya Franklin. I am a licensed life
insurance broker with a master's in Public Administration.
Speaker 9 (17:35):
It is Sunshine Goople Life is the name of the company.
Speaker 10 (17:37):
We are located in West Palm Beach at twenty three
hundred Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, Sweet three hundred h My
contact information is five six one eight two five seven
zero four to one and if you're not busy on Sunday,
we will be at the Riviera Beach Marina in the
very beautiful city there. We will be hosting a legacy
event where you can find out a lot of this
information that we spoke on today.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Tanya, to thank you for being with us once again.
It is Saturday, the twelfth of July twenty twenty five.
We're signing up here from iHeartRadio on West Palm Beach,

Good morning, Welcome, back to the show. It's Saturday, the twelfth,
July twenty twenty five. We're privileged to be here in
West Palm Beach, Florida at iHeartRadio where we're now streaming
on the iHeart app.
Speaker 5 (19:07):
Have with us.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
Joseph McCormick from Dreams Business Resources. He's a corporate trustee ambassador.
I'm Rob, the director of operations. This is one of
our weekly radio programs called the Best of South Florida Business. Joe,
I want to get right into it this morning. Dreams
Business Resources is very, very effective for small business owners,
regardless of the number of employees that they have, whether
(19:29):
it's one to ten, ten to one hundred, one hundred
and up, there's something that you offer for just about
every company out there. You know, we're limited on time,
so I want to get out of the way and
give you an opportunity. One to give this a little
background on Dreams Business Resources. Give out the pertinent contact
information for anybody who may want to reach out to
you to do a one on one consultation, and let's
(19:51):
get right into it.
Speaker 7 (19:53):
Hey, thanks, Rob. Dreams Business Resources has has those things
that businesses and really actually Rob any size could use
could they use all six seven eight of our resources.
Probably not, but I do know there's a good fit
for one or two of them for just about any
any organization. One of the top things that we're employing
(20:19):
right now is our Fight a reduction plan that puts
the six hundred dollars back into the owner's hands per employee.
The employee see a bump in pay as well. And
the beautiful thing about this rob it comes at zero
net cost to anybody. So I'd love to have the
conversation with those business owners that could use a little
(20:40):
help with their Fighter reduction. Additionally, we have the R
and D tax credits that we've talked about. Really, if
you have a process or a product and you try
to improve upon it and in don't, you are entitled
to an R and D tax credit. These tax credits
are huge, So if you have a tax liability at
(21:02):
the end of the year, this could really really come
in andy. Our Hallmark PC streaming cloud computing is an
incredible product. We do it so much better for so
much less. We'd love to have that conversation as well.
So we have many, many opportunities for business to affect
(21:24):
their bottom line in a positive way. Rob, and again
I'm just looking to have those conversations. We are helping
so many people down in the South Florida area right now,
as you know, and just like to help out, help
out more. Again. My name is Joe McCormick. I can
be reached at nine zero four six four three sixty
four zero six again nine zero four six four three
(21:47):
sixty four zero six, And I want to thank you again, Rob.
Appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Yeah, no problem, Joe. We have about three or four
minutes left. And what I want you to do. I
know there's a lot of misconceptions out there, and there's
always there's a lot of noise out there there.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
What you know.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
I know that I don't like to use the terminology
missing the boat, but there are people that are missing
out on certain things. I want you to elaborate on
that quickly because we have limited time. But let people
know that there's things out there that they could be
taking advantage of them.
Speaker 5 (22:15):
They may not know.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Well enough about how to go about doing it, but
they might not even know that it exists.
Speaker 8 (22:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (22:22):
Now that's a good point, and that'll bring me right
into the R and D Tax credits company that we
work with there's a thousand tax credits out there, but
so many businesses are unaware that they're entitled to the
R and D Research and Development Tax Credit, a program
that's been around since the eighties, and sadly, of the
(22:46):
one hundred billion dollars that's out there available, maybe fifteen
percent is claimed every year, and it's by the usual suspects,
all the big businesses. They know about this. This is
no slight on any c or bookkeeper or accountant you
may have. It's a very cumbersome thing to do, but
we have a proprietary software that does this and incredible time.
(23:11):
We spit you out a thirty to sixty page report
at zero cost. If there's no return, there's no benefit
to you, there's no cost to you as well. So
I think to R and D again, you have a process,
you have a product, and you try to improve upon it,
you're eligible for this tax credit. The average tax credit
(23:33):
ROB is just north of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars,
So if you take put that in perspective, I recently
did my brother. He cleans oil up in North Carolina
at large institutions. Cooking oil got him a knife. R
and D tax credit and it's paying for his tax
liability for the last two years. He's a happy guy.
(23:55):
I'm his new favorite brother if you know what I.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Mean absolutely, and that's exactly what I'm talking about. You
have people that are out there in the listening audience.
We are very privileged to have Joe McCormick in Dreams
Business Resources, not only as one of our corporate Trustee Ambassadors,
but he sits on our board as well, and he
makes himself accessible for people. All you have to do
is pick up the phone or email Joe. He will
(24:18):
get back to you promptly. And you know, he and
I joke all the time we meet people at the events.
Sounds great, they're interested. You can lead a horse to water,
but you cannot make it drink. You can lead a
human being to reasoning, but you can't always make him think.
Because I kid you not. The opportunities that are accessible
through his platform are amazing, and he breaks it into
(24:41):
the most simplistic terms. A lot of people probably don't
know what an R and D tax credit is, but
like he had mentioned in the past, and don't want
to be redundant, but you said, this basically applies to everyone.
In anything as far as business owners are concerned. Correct,
there's really no one that's excluded.
Speaker 7 (24:58):
Big heart. I'm pressed to find the company that wouldn't.
How about if I put it that way, And the
neat thing is if you answer a couple of questions,
we can determine right off the bat if this is
a right fit for you. There's a lot of money
that's just going unclaimed. I did want to mention I
forgot to say it, the new big, beautiful bill that
(25:18):
was just passed. Whether you like it or not, this
solidifies future endowments into the R and D tax Credit coffers.
So this is a program that is not going to
be going away, and as a matter of fact, it's
going to be enhanced with more fun. So just want
to let.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
You know that that is awesome. Joe, we got about
a minute left. What I want you to do talk
about anything that you want to share before we sign
up this morning. Give out your web address and best
phone number and email address so people can reach.
Speaker 5 (25:47):
Out to you.
Speaker 7 (25:49):
Yeah. One of the things that also we're excited about
four to one case. I've never been a big fan
of four oh one case, but I will go on
record as saying if if you're saving and you're using
a four oh one K, hallelujah, because sadly, seventy percent
of the workforce does not save for retirement in that fashion.
(26:10):
That being said, there are new ways that retirement savings
within businesses are taking place with better participation. So owners
perk up. They're utilizing index Universal Life policies as a
substitute for four oh one ks. They work better, they're guaranteed,
(26:31):
and they have a slew of extra benefits that a
four to oh one K just won't provide. But again,
if you're using a four oh one K, I tip
my hat to you. You're saving four your retirement and
that's very very important. Again. Joe McCormick nine oh four

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Six Joe want to thank you. I have a wonderful weekend.

Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It's Saturday, July twelfth,
twenty twenty five, and we are privileged to be here
in West Palm Beach, Florida. We're now streaming on the
I Heart app iHeartRadio. I'm Rob, the director of Operations
at the Greater South Florida Chamber of Commerce. This is
one of our weekly radio programs, the Best of South
Florida Business. Melissa Kerici or mel is a local licensed
(27:54):
health and life insurance agent who specializes in senior coverage.
She mostly sells a Medicare advantage and care supplement plans,
but also has a great dental plan for all agents
all agents, excuse me, and she recent started recently started
offering pet coverage as well. Melissa is also one of
our Corporate Trustee Ambassadors. Melissa, what are some common misconceptions
(28:15):
about Medicare that you encounter, please elaborate.
Speaker 6 (28:19):
Wow, there are a lot. One common misconception is people
think Medicare covers all healthcare costs, which it does not.
Medicare is split into two parts A and B both
have a deductible and co insurance. Medicare also does not
include any drug coverage. That's why you need to shop
for a Medicare Advantage plan or MEDIGAP plan with a
(28:41):
standalone drug plan. When you first qualify for Medicare, many
people assume they don't have because they don't have any medications,
they don't need drug coverage. However, there's a penalty for
every month you go without coverage that gets supplied when
you finally do join a plan. To avoid an accruing penalty,
work with an agent or broker to find coverage. When
(29:01):
you first qualify for Medicare, many people think Medicare enrollment
is automatic, but this is only true if you're collecting
a Social Security check. You will still have to enroll
in Part B. Even if you're automatically enrolled into Part A.
A lot of people defer social Security to age sixty
seven and therefore need to apply for both A and
B when they hit age sixty five or retire. Another
(29:23):
confusing concept for people is whether they can keep their
employer coverage if they continue to work. But you can
under certain circumstances. If your employer has more than twenty
employees and your coverage is considered credible, you can remain
on your employer plan until you're ready to retire. But
if you work for a small company with under twenty
(29:45):
employees or have an ACA plan, Medicare automatically becomes primary
when you turn sixty five and you have to enroll
in Part A and Part B because your old coverage
may not pay on claims. Another thing people do is
confuse Medicare with Medicaid. Medicare is a federal program for
those sixty five and older or disabled, whereas Medicaid is
(30:07):
a joint state and federal program for low income qualified individuals.
Despite these differences, it is possible to have both.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
Melissa, how do you help people on Medicare?
Speaker 6 (30:19):
So I like to begin by educating my clients on
the basics of Medicare, including detailed explanations of original Medicare
Parts AM B, Medicare Advantage Part C, and prescription drug
coverage like Part D through one on one meetings in
my free monthly educational workshop. I like to ensure my
clients have a clear understanding of their Medicare options. This
(30:40):
foundational knowledge empowers clients to make informed decisions about their
healthcare coverage. I understand that each client has distinct health
care needs and financial situations, so I evaluate factors such
as medical history, preferred providers, and budget constraints. Whether client
opts for original Medicare with a SOB couplement or a
Medicare advantage plan. I provide comprehensive comparisons and recommendations tailored
(31:06):
to their specific requirements. My support extends way beyond initial enrollment.
I maintain regular communication with my clients, offering check ins
and being readily available to address any questions or concerns.
My advocacy includes assisting with plan changes during enrollment periods,
helping clients navigate medical underwriting, and advocating for them in
(31:28):
cases of denied claims or coverage disputes. I conduct annual
reviews during the Medicare annual enrollment period and review their
MA and PDP plans for everyone, assessing changes in drug
formularies provider networks plan benefits and making recommended adjustments to
align with my client's healthcare needs.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
Well listen, Do you have any advice for people qualifying
for Medicare now, Yes.
Speaker 6 (31:56):
Do your research. Many agents and carriers alike really try
to focus on Medicare Advantage or the part cy program.
I constantly meet clients who thought their advantage plan was
a supplement and are now stuck with copays, co insurances,
and high maximum out of pocket expenses because they were
never taught the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement.
(32:18):
I try to educate my clients on both programs as
soon as we speak. Sometimes it's one of the first
questions I ask them. Spend time setting up your Medicare
dot Gov profile after you get your Medicare number, and
shop all the different plans available. Work with an independent
broker who has contracts with all the major carriers and
sells advantage and supplement plans. Get a quote for both programs.
(32:42):
Make sure you can understand the rules about what each
program covers and how they work with original Medicare. You
can only change your Medicare supplement if you're able to
pass medical underwriting and you can only change your advantage
plan during the annual enrollment each October through November. You
will be stuck with whatever plan you sign up for
for a long time, so make sure you've made the
(33:02):
right choice for your individual needs list.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Have you mentioned your free educational Medicare workshop and Jupiter
at the Cafe I Need Coffee And what can people
expect by learn to learn by attending that?
Speaker 6 (33:15):
So I haven't mentioned it yet, but thanks for bringing
it up. I do have a free monthly seminar at
the Cafe I Need Coffee in Jupiter. Their address is
seven to eleven Indiantown Road. My class is currently offered
the last Saturday of the month at ten thirty in
the morning, meaning my next two are on July twenty
sixth and August thirtieth. I recommend calling to reserve your
(33:37):
seat because space can be limited. You can call or
text me to RSVP at five six one two eight
seven zero.
Speaker 9 (33:44):
Four zero six.
Speaker 6 (33:46):
There's a brief explaining there's a brief presentation explaining everything
you need to know about Medicare, including how and when
to enroll, the differences between coverage options, and how to
avoid penalties. We also discuss the differences between Medicare Advantage
and Medicare Supplement plans. We go over the costs of
each program and the pros and cons of going with
either one. This workshop's absolutely free and anyone can attend. Again,
(34:08):
I just ask you call ahead to RSVP. I'm happy
to buy your coffee as you join me for about
an hour discussion on Medicare. Just put your drink on
my tab at the counter.
Speaker 5 (34:18):
Listen.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
So what about dental? Can you tell us a little
bit about the plans that you offer?
Speaker 5 (34:24):
Please?
Speaker 6 (34:25):
So I work with a company called Ameritas to sell
their product, Spirit Dental. They are a nationwide company that's
been around since eighteen eighty seven. They have six plans
to choose from, with options like basic preventative plans or
plans with high maximums and implant coverage. I personally carry
the Spirit Pinnacle plan for myself, which features one hundred
(34:46):
percent preventative coverage instantly and no waiting periods for basic
and major work. The benefits increase annually and cover more
and more the longer you carry it, eventually earning you
a five thousand dollars maximum and sixty percent coverage major services.
This is a great plan for someone who needs to
heavily invest in their mouth. There's also a great plan
(35:07):
for seniors called the Preferred PPO Plan, which offers hearing
coverage and optional vision benefits as well. In fact, vision
benefits can be added to every Spirit plan for only
an additional eight dollars a month. You can go to
my website and quote the plans yourself, or give me
a caller text to get started on your quote. You
can join and cancel any time, and coverage can start
(35:28):
as soon as the next day.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Well, Lissa, we're running out of time, but before we go,
can you just touch briefly on your pet coverage?
Speaker 6 (35:35):
So I'm so excited to offer this pet plan. Unlike insurance,
this coverage has no breed restrictions, no age limits, and
no waiting periods. Sign up and enjoy a twenty five
percent discount at any participating veterinarian As a discount membership
and not true insurance. The program has no claims or
reimbursement process. You simply show your card at the checkout
(35:58):
counter and get your twenty five five percent discount on
your visit. You also get access to real veterinarians via
telehealth twenty four to seven. This membership costs ten dollars
a month and will cover up to ten household dogs
and cats. You can sign up for this plan directly
through my website or give me a call their text
to work with me on your coverage.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
Well before we go, I hear that music? Is there
anything else you want to talk about?
Speaker 6 (36:23):
I've been working really hard on updating my website to
make it as usually friendly as possible. You can get
started by googling my name Melissa Carici. That's Mlissa Sea
as in Charlie O R I see, isn't Charlie Hi.
You can now send me a message, book, an appointment,
or research my products and services from the comfort of
(36:43):
your home. Mobile and desktop versions available. Take a moment
to use my links to quote your own dental, indemni
or Medicare advantage plan. I also have a Facebook page
you can find by searching my name. Please take a
moment and find me online once again.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
It's been Melissa career from Melissa Crecci Insurance Solutions, Corporate Trust,
the Ambassador creator South Florida Chamber of Commerce. You can
meet Melissa in person at all the upcoming events, including Saturday,
July twenty six. She'll be with us in Miami Springs
from noon until five at the Miami Springs Adult Community
Center and all the other events we have moving forward
throughout the remainder of this year into the twenty twenty
(37:20):
sixth calendar year. Thank you, Melissa, and have a wonderful weekend.
Speaker 6 (37:24):
Thanks. Hey, this is Melissa Kricci. I'm a licensed and
insured local insurance agent. So one thing worth mentioning is
the annual enrollment period for Medicare Advantage did end back
in December, which is known as plan changing season for
those on a Medicare Advantage plan. But I do like
(37:46):
to remind all my clients that you have the Open
Enrollment Period or OEP available to make one plan change
up until March thirty first, So if you're unhappy with
your current coverage, give me a call. Can reach me
at five six one two eight seven zero four zero
six all their text.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It's Saturday of
the twelfth of July twenty twenty five, and we are
privileged to be here in West Palm Beach, Florida at
iHeartRadio where we're now streaming on iHeart app. I'm Rob,
the director of Operations, with the Greater South Florida Chamber
of Commerce. This is one of our weekly radio programs
called the Best of South Florida Business have with this
new corporate trustee, Ambassador Steve Sunshine. Steve works with a
(38:29):
company that is very very well versed, I mean extremely
well versed in digital marketing. It's called five Star Visibility
and they're located at eight hundred West Cypress Creek Road,
Sweet one one zero, Fort Lauderdale, Florida three three three
zero nine. You can reach Steve directly at nine to
five four two eight nine five five five five, or
(38:51):
you can email them S. Sunshine at the number five
Star Visibility dot com. Now, Steve, I want to ask
you a few questions. I mean, I know there's a
number of ways that you can answer these questions, and
there's a number of companies out there will probably have
similar opinions, but some of them may different. But I
(39:11):
want your honest opinion because you're very well versed in
what you do and I hold you in very high regard.
Can't say that I could say that about every digital
marketing company I know of or I've ever worked with,
but your organization is definitely a cut above Steve. Every
small business struggles with getting more clients at an affordable rate.
I mean, it's the sixty four million dollar question. What
(39:34):
is the best, most consistent way to get local customers
to learn about your business products and services.
Speaker 8 (39:40):
Go ahead, Hey, Rob, thank you for having me here today.
I really appreciated your first class guy.
Speaker 5 (39:46):
Appreciate it.
Speaker 8 (39:48):
Yeah. To answer your question small businesses that need local customers,
there's a very strong, powerful and free service provided by Google,
the million Gorilla that allows small businesses to market and
find customers in their local markets. And they don't have
to have a location or storefront. They can do it
(40:11):
for service businesses like plumbers and roofers and things like that.
So Google knows that the local service industry and the
local business industry needs help. So they built something called
a Google Business Profile. And it's a free service, like
I said, and you can better pick it or a
picture it in your mind as the Google Map pack.
(40:34):
So when you search for pizza near me, or a
bail bondsman or a digital marketing agency, what Google knows
two things. Most searches are done on mobile phones, and
most searches have a very local intent attached with the search.
Meaning that most visitors or searchers are wanting a solution
(40:57):
as close to them as possible. And it's so true
with a restaurant. You don't want pizza and theair means
show a Chicago deep dish restaurant in Chicago when you're
sitting in sunny South Florida. So Google knows this, so
they provide a service that any business can build, manage
and optimize themselves and no charge and benefit from calls
(41:20):
and directions and website clicks and informational transfer on special
offers promotions. Again, this is called the Google Business profile.
So if you search for your company, you will see
many times a group of three results show up next
to a map. That's the Google Business profile in work
(41:42):
in operation. So you claim your business listing and then
you optimize it. You tell it what hours you're open,
what products you sell, what services, what category you upload images,
you manage your reviews. All this falls under the one
tool Google Business Profile, and again you can optimize it
(42:02):
and manage it yourself. The problem is is most small
businesses don't really realize this, and they don't even update
their Google Business profile. It may be there on the
web because Google builds everybody's profile themselves, and then you
claim it as yours as the business owner, and then
you get access right to update everything in all the
(42:25):
performance analytics. So the number one thing is this Google
business profile. We have clients getting hundreds and hundreds of calls,
clicks and direction requests from their free listing, and it's
driving sales. And if your business isn't having the phone
(42:45):
ring and people clicking because of your Google Business profile,
then you're missing the boat. And you can make the
correction and do everything yourself, or you can find a
professional service provider like US five Star Visibility to do
it at an optimal level, just like you can fix
your own breaks. But sometimes you need to trust the
professional to have that peace of mind and know everything's
(43:08):
being done correctly.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
Hy Steve, how much does it take? How much effort
rather does it take a small business owner to optimize
and manage their Google Business profile?
Speaker 8 (43:18):
Elaborate on that, sure, great question, and that's one of
the most common questions to do a basic job. You know,
you claim you're listing, You log into your Google, Gmail
account or Google account, you go find your listing, you
put in a claim and you just got to kind
of prove that you are actually the owner of the business,
and you verify that this fact and then to just
(43:41):
fill in the blanks. You know, what's your company name,
what's your description of your business? What category do you
belong to, upload some of your products, upload pictures. I
would say to get a Google business profile looking good
and benefiting a business, it's about a five to ten
hour launch job. Okay, knowing you know you have to
(44:02):
write a description of your business. So you don't want
to say you're an accountant. You want to say you're
an accountant with twenty years of service, and you focus
in this and that. So you want to do it
where it's strategically beneficial for readers or visitors to consume
your content and be sold on your business. Some people
take shortcuts and just say we're an accountant company or
(44:24):
accountant service. Well, that doesn't sell, It doesn't make you
look better than your competitors. So to do a good job,
you really need to put a little thought in it.
So about five to ten hours gets you, you know,
an optimize Google business profile to a certain level. Just
like if you were going to design your website, you
could do it in a few minutes if it you know,
(44:45):
you're very limited design if you're going to do a
monster design with loads of graphics and it's going to
take you lot lots more time. So depending on the job,
and the Google Business profile is set up that if
you have multiple locations, you can have multiple Google Business
profiles targeted for those locations.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
Steve, once you've optimized your companies Google Business profile, can
you set it and forget it and get new leads
ONNG in month after month?
Speaker 8 (45:12):
Great question, Yes you can, but no you won't. If
that makes sense, it will stay there forever and be
set it and the correct information will be there. But
just like you do in any business, you need to
keep it fresh. You need to stay one step ahead
of the competitors. You need to put your local or
(45:33):
your your current offers and your current products and your
current marketing direction and pass information to your visitors that's
applicable and important to their shopping journey or their decision
making journey. So each week, each month, you need to
stay ahead of your competition. So if you're competitor, if
(45:56):
you know, if your you know publics and your competitors
when Dixie, you need to stay one step ahead of
that competitor by analyzing, monitoring what your competitor's doing, making
sure your profile is better and a better choice for
the potential visitors seeing both.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
Steve, though I apologize, I'm hearing that music in the background,
so it means we've got about a minute left. One
quick question that I want you to give out the
phone number and the web address again. How much does
it cost to get a digital agency to professionally optimize
and manage a Google business profile? And then I want
to get into the rest of this when we have
you on next segment, But go ahead and elaborate on that.
Speaker 8 (46:35):
Cool, great well. Five Star Visibility offers a special sale
price through your Chamber relationship that normally it's six hundred
and ninety nine dollars a month to have full service
optimized every month for us to continually grow your Google
business profile's value. But we have it on sale for
three hundred and ninety nine dollars a month. There's no
(46:58):
contract it for as long as we're driving benefit to
you and keeping leads coming at a steady flow and
growing your business. So at three ninety nine a month,
we put in between ten and twenty hours worth of
work each month, writing new content, managing your leads, your
your reviews, putting in new products, new services, writing content articles,
(47:22):
updating it, managing the reports and the analytics, and reporting
back to our clients. So it's a very valuable service.
And depending on the size of your business, one extra
lead a month or two extra leads a month, I'm
sure we'll pay for any services that's happening from us,
and then the potential is unlimited. We want you to
(47:44):
dominate your local market and we can help.
