Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Greater South Florida Chamber Radio program with
your host to board president John Kroll of Kroll Realty.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It's Saturday, the
nineteenth of April twenty twenty five. Were privileged to be
here this morning in West Palm Beach, Florida at iHeartRadio
Homer now streaming on the iHeart app. Later today from
ten am till six pm, we'll be out at the
Boy and Beach Mall for the fifteenth annual Easter Holiday
Homes Show and business expo that we're doing with us

(00:38):
this morning is one of our corporate Trusty Ambassador's. Her
name is Melissa Krici. She goes by mel. She's an
independent insurance broker who specializes in Medicare coverage and other
senior products. Mel can you explain a little bit about
what that means and what it entails please?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Of course, thank you. As you just said, I'm independent.
That means I don't have any agency orangearance company to
answer to. I work for myself. I have no quotas
or deadlines, meaning I don't have to use high pressure
sales tactics. I can be honest and unbiased with my
clients because as a broker, I sell all the major

(01:13):
carriers products. I have my own contracts with life with
insurance companies, and I can quote multiple different companies at
a time, so you can actually see all your options
from across the board, not with not just with one
insurance company. My main focus is Medicare coverage. That's coverage
for those who are sixty five and older or have

(01:34):
a qualifying disability. I mostly work with seniors, but I
have a few clients who are under sixty five as well.
I actually have a dental product that I sell to
all ages, but I mostly sell Medicare supplements, Medicare advantage plans,
and hospital and Dumny plans.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
What is the difference between Medicare and Medicaid and who
qualifies for each program. I know that that's something that
the listening adience would really like me to touch on
this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah, so people always confuse Medicare and Medicaid. Medicare is
a federal program primarily for individuals age sixty five and older,
or in some cases younger individuals with disabilities. This is
regardless of income. Medicaid, on the other hand, is a
state and federally funded program that provides health coverage for

(02:20):
low income individuals and families. In Florida, Medicaid eligibility is
based on income level, household size, and some other factors.
It is possible to have both Medicare and Medicaid. Individuals
that qualify for both are called dual eligible beneficiaries. They
qualify for many value added benefits in the Medicare advantage programs,

(02:42):
such as grocery and bill allowances.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Listen, what are some key things people turning in sixty
five need to know about the enrolling in Medicare Because
let's face that, there's a lot of noise out there.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
So if you're turning sixty five, you have a seven
month initial enrollment period starting three months before your sixty
fifth birthday. This includes the month of your birthday and
the three months after your birthday. To enroll in Medicare,
it's important to try and get this process started as
soon as possible because it can take weeks for applications

(03:18):
to get processed and approved. Secondly, if you are continuing
to work, you may be able to defer enrollment into
your part B if your company has more than twenty
employees and offers credible coverage. You can elect to stay
on your employer health plan and defer enrollment in Part B.
There's nothing specially you need to do, simply do not

(03:39):
complete the Part B of the Medicare application. I always
recommend signing up for Part A when you turn sixty
five because for most Americans, Part A is free. However,
you cannot make contributions to an HSA if you have
Medicare Part A, so if you're keeping your high deductible
health planned and HSA, you should defer enrollment in both

(04:01):
Part A and Part B. Now, Medicare Part A and
Part B each have their own penalty for signing up late,
so it's important to work with an agent to determine
what the best strategy for your Medicare coverage is. Once
your Part A and B are active, it's a good
idea to carry supplemental insurance or join a Medicare Advantage plan.

(04:23):
Supplements pick up the cost Medicare leaves you with, such
as deductibles and coinsurances. Medicare Advantage pro rates out the
cost Medicare leaves you with into a more manageable schedule
of benefits. Working with a broker like me can show
you all your options for coverage and help you make
the best decision for you. You have a seven month period
before and after your birthday to join a Medicare advantage

(04:44):
plan and a six month period to join a Medicare
supplement without medical underwriting.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Wessa, can you explain how year round enrollment works for
Medicare and Medicaid recipients. I know that that's something that
a lot of people are confused by, So.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
There really is no year around enrollment period for Medicare.
It has specific enrollment periods, the first one being your
initial enrollment period when you first enroll in Medicare. This
period starts three months before your sixty fifth birthday and
last three months after your birthday. I always recommend enrolling
in Part A during this period, whether or not you

(05:18):
plan to defer Part B if you continue to work
and receive employer coverage. If the company you work for
has more than twenty people, you can defern rollment into Medicare.
Your initial enrollment period allows you to join a Medicare
supplement or Medicare advantage plan of your choosing without having
to go through underwriting. You're guaranteed issuance during this period

(05:38):
for Medicare Advantage and Part D plans. It also starts
three months before your birthday. For Medicare supplements, it's the
six month period before your sixty fifth birthday or your
qualification for Part B because some people defer their Part B.
For Medicare supplement, there is no enrollment period. You can
actually make changes any time of the year. You just

(06:00):
have to go through something called medical underwriting, where you
can be accepted or denied based on your medical history.
For Medicare Advantage, you have an annual enrollment period every
year October through December where you can make plan changes
that will go into effect the following year. You then
have an open enrollment period January through March where you
can make one plan change. A lot of people don't

(06:22):
know about this enrollment period, and this enrollment period does
not apply to Part DE recipients. On the other hand,
Medicaid allows for enrollment year round in Florida as long
as you meet the eligibility requirements. Because your qualifying circumstances
can change your round. You can apply any time.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
And we are there dental coverage options available through Medicare.
Because I know a lot of people joke and say
if there is such thing as good dental insurance. I
know I can never find it, and I've heard that
from several people.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Well, Original Medicare doesn't cover routine dental care. You'll need
a standalone dental policy if you choose to stay on
Original Medicare. However, many Medicare advantage plans in Florida offer
dental benefits, including cleanings, exams, and sometimes even more extensive
procedures like dentures, bridges, crowns. Most plans offer one thousand

(07:17):
to three thousand dollars benefit, sometimes even more, although there
can be restrictions on what they'll cover. Review your plans
Evidence of Coverage document to make sure services you need
are covered. I recommend working with a broker like me
to choose which kind of dental coverage will be the
best for you. I have a great plan that's actually
available to all ages and has no waiting period with

(07:39):
graduated benefits. I even carry this coverage for myself. It's
one of the most popular plans I sell. It's from
a company called Ameritas. They have a few basic preventative
plans starting at twenty dollars a month. These plans are
for people who just need general maintenance, and then they
have the Pinnacle Plan which offers up to five thousand
dollars and coverage and covers things like crowns, dentures, and implants.

(08:04):
That's the one I have for myself and one of.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
The most common mistakes people make when enrolling in medicare
and how can they avoid those pitfalls.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Medicare has three separate penalties for late enrollment. If you
procrastinate signing up during your initial enrollment period, you could
end up paying for it for literally the rest of
your life. Part A penalties are ten percent for two
times the number of years delayed, Part B penalties are
ten percent for each year delayed, and Part D penalties

(08:35):
are one percent of the national base premium for each
month delayed without credible prescription drug coverage. These can really
add up, and many times are taken right out of
your Social Security. Another thing is many seniors don't understand
why they need a drug plan when they are not
any medications or maybe just have a few cheap generic ones.

(08:59):
But for every month you don't sign up for drug coverage,
you incur a one percent penalty. Right now, the national
average premium is around thirty five dollars Waiting until you're
in your seventies to join a drug plan could mean
penalties of over fifty dollars a month that adds up
over a year. Florida residents can access resources like the

(09:20):
Shine or Ship program. They offer free assistance. It actually
stands for serving health insurance needs of elders. It offers
free counseling for Medicare beneficiaries. But in all honesty, working
with a good broker like me, you should be guided
through the process. You should have someone to turn to
who has all the answers to your questions and who

(09:42):
advocates you when needed. I do that for all my clients,
not only am I contracted with all the major carriers.
I offer unbiased quotes and go over all my clients'
options for coverage, including supplement options and Medicare advantage options.
It's really easy to work with me. Available by Calder
texts seven days a week. The best way to reach

(10:03):
me would be emailing me at Melissa Kurici, M E
L I S S A Season, Charlie r I sas
in Charliehi at gmail dot com, or calling me at
five six one two eight seven zero four zero six.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Yeah, I'm hearing that music in the background means we
got about a minute left. And once again I want
to remind everyone you can meet Melissa in person later

Speaker 3 (11:18):

enrollment period for Medicare advantage did end back in December,
which is known as plan changing season for those on
a Medicare advantage plan. But I do like to remind
all my clients that you have the Open Enrollment Period

(11:40):
or OEP available to make one plan change up until

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Good morning, welcome back to the show. It is Saturday,
April ninet teenth. It's Easter weekend, twenty twenty five. We
are privileged to be here this morning. I heard radio
on West Poum Beach, Florier, where we're now streaming on.
I heard app Later today we'll be out at the
Boyton Beach Mall for the annual fifteenth and Old Rather
Easter Holiday home Show and Healthfare with us right now
is Aesteban quintin Tero, who's one of our corporate Trusting Ambassadors.

(12:20):
Let's get right into it this morning. Esteban, thank you.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
Robert for your support. Yes, sir, we've been receiving your
support since last year, and I really appreciate very much
the kindness that you have treated us, the considerations that
you have given us during all those past ten months
that we've been living together lovely. I've been always telling

(12:47):
my people that we are in good hands with you,
that we are receiving most of the support that we
as a company of medical services could receive to do
better branding and marketing. Okay. Basically the events that we
assist with you are for that, so to get us

(13:08):
to know in the market, Okay, where the needed like
like it says on our on our core values and behaviors. Okay,
we are here as a mission.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
We have carrion for the most vulnerable families in our community. Okay,
and we have several core values and behaviors which are integrity, passion, service,
and accountablity. Okay. That's uh, that's our main reason of being,
uh in this area of South Florida, doing Miami Dade

(13:48):
and doing Brower County.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
We have in Brower County a very important presence that
has been growing up very fast for the last two
and a half years. We started with Margate and then
a load of the Lakes and then Pembroke, PNEs. We
are trying to grow a little bit more during the

(14:12):
next two years in Brawer. We cannot tell you precise timing,
but we are going there basically. On our company overview,
I can tell you a little bit. As a medical group, okay,
we prioritize personalized and accessible medical care okay, with the
focus on preventing and managing chronic diseases for seniors okay.

(14:37):
Meaningful that we try to focus on the continued care.
And we try to treat our elder people of Medicare
patients as our own okay, as a family with the
names and their needs that they've been getting for their

(14:59):
last two years. Okay. And we have like like you said,
we have a lot of locations around Miami, Dad, okay.
And the good thing is that we separate okay, the
services we have it. We have it like I said
here and a technical technology infrastructure okay, which is automated

(15:26):
with the medical center okay. And and design to rericks
base practice management and Electronic health records or well known
as HR. Okay. I could stay here for like a
half an hour with you telling you all the benefits
that we can offer, but the main reason of staying

(15:48):
uh here in Brawer and is trying to let people
know that we can give them all they need in
only one place.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Yeah, I think from one of your slogans, one of
your catch rays as it stands out to me because
I know you, You're excellent to work with. I've met
several of your team members, impeccable. The quality that you
provide for people in professionalism goes above and beyond. But
one of your catchphrases is within reach beyond care, family, children, seniors,
and that Community Medical Group. Obviously, folks, you could expect

(16:19):
to receive unparalleled quality care and service from an extensive
number of qualified doctors and specialists and over twenty locations
and growing daily dedicated to offering a personalized approach for
all of your medical needs. To a fully integrated in
house team of social services agents ready to guide you
so you can be rest assured that it can be

(16:39):
healthy and live your best life, and you're in good
hands when you're dealing with Community Medical Group. Those are
just some reasons why CMG continues to go beyond care
and we can strongly support their growth and insist that
people look into going into their facilities. Had the pleasure
of going into both the facilities in Margate and Lauderdale
last Cup weeks. Very nice facilities, very clean professional excellent locations,

(17:05):
easy access, easy parking, and it was really neat to
be able to see that people are still going above
and beyond, dotting all their eyes, crossing all their tea's,
making sure that they're going above and beyond to provide
quality healthcare, because, let's face it, that's what people are
up against in today's America. People are up against the

(17:26):
fact that so many people go to see their practitioners,
whether it's a primary care, a medical group, whatever, it
may be, a hospital, urgent care, they feel like a number.
And I noticed that when I saw the people in
your waiting rooms and I was watching your staff interact,
I said, wow, this more is closely held its hands on.
They're taking a different approach that I don't like the terminology,

(17:49):
old school approach, but it was an old school approach.
And obviously I got to watch a few of your
doctors talking with patients, excellent bedside manners. That's important. It's
so important to feel wanted rather than neglected or agitated
when you go to the doctor. Because I'll be honest
with you, I went last year several times sin it's
real easy to get frustrated.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Oh yes, yes, and let me tell you something. You
mentioned something a few seconds ago. That is the service
that we give to all our patients. Correct, but remember
those services. It's a teamwork that I can. I can
give you some numbers of how much people is involved

(18:29):
in this situation to give the best service ever for
all our patients. Okay, I can mention like like we
have patients together services. We have more than a ninety
five a thousand adult pediatrics, Medicare patients which are received

(18:50):
for Medicare patients of six thousand, more than six thousand
Medicare patients and on exchanged patients, it's more than fifty
eight thousands. We have a total of oglos seven hundred
employees around the whole area of Central Florida, in south

(19:12):
of South Florida, in Broward County.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
That's amazing, Esba. I'm looking forward to conducting a series
of interviews with you and your team. Once again, folks,
it's been community outreach specialist Esteban Quintero with Community Medical
Group for questions or appointments called area code seven eight

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Good morning, welcome back to the show. It is Saturday,
April nineteenth, twenty twenty five. It's Easter weekend. We're privileged
to be here this morning at iHeartRadio in West Palm Beach, Florida.
We're now streaming on the iHeart app. Have with this
longtime corporate trusty ambassador, Fabio Lanzeri, who is the CEO
and founder of land Femmedical and he also has a
pharmaceutical company. He's going to talk a little bit about

(20:53):
the one of their new products they have. Go ahead
and get right into it this morning, Fabio.

Speaker 6 (20:57):
Okay. Yes, Seris is a company that is committed to
commercialize and develop innovative solutions in therapeutic areas that have
significant unmet needs. It's the prescription side of line fan,
basically line fan dealing more with the natural substances. So

(21:20):
are the foundational product that is the TESTO which we
will talk about today, and it's a testosterone therapy before
people with hypogonadism, which is low testosterone levels. And I
mean basically the TESTA was conceived with the objective of

(21:41):
delivering testosterone to the patient in a safe, efficient and
effective way. You know, today we have various delivery modalities
of testosterone, but we found that there are a lot
of them had deficiencies. You know, for example, there's the
cream anointment, the cream of appointment. I mean, it does

(22:05):
deliver testosterone, but that can cause for testosterone to be
transferred to another person. For example, if if you're married,
then you sleep in the same bed the you know,
the bed sheets can have testosterone, and then your wife
can can can get some testosterone. You don't want that

(22:27):
injection which is the most popular way of taking testosterone
these days, but that causes peaks and valleys, which is
very detrimental and we can discuss later. And then recently
there's the oral medications that came up that they came
that got approved, but due to the product going through

(22:49):
the gut, the absorption is quite poor. So therefore nasal
delivery which is what natesto is, it's truly the best
way to administer testosterone my opinion.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Fabia, elaborate and tell us a little bit about the
delivery modality if you would please.

Speaker 6 (23:07):
There are rob the testos administered through the nose and
the nasal cavity is a very effective way to administer
product and the patients also find that much more convenient

(23:29):
than injections or topical treatment. See This method eliminates the
risk of transference which I mentioned before, making it safer
for patients and their families, and it's a very easy
way to administer a compound. I mean everybody, we've all

(23:55):
had products which we've used through the nose and very convenient.
It's got reduced side effects. And there was a clinical
study that showed eighty four percent of patients with testosterone
replacement therapy preferred in the TESTO over any other product

(24:18):
available in the market.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Those are some pretty nice numbers to be able to
elaborate on. Congratulations on that because success does not happen
by accident, Fabia, what is testa's efficacy? Can you touch
on that? Please? Sure?

Speaker 7 (24:35):
You know?

Speaker 6 (24:35):
If you go to the website, you could see that
we have performed over nine hundred and eighty clinical trials
and publication. There's over nine hundred and eighty publications available
on the test and clinical trials have shown that the
TESTO effectively restores testosterone levels with fewer side effects compared

(24:59):
to other therapies. The TESTO doesn't give the patients the
detrimental peaks and valleys, for example, like the injection product does.
Rob the testo mimics the natural production of what our
body would normally produce. Patients report also improved improvements in energy,

(25:23):
in mood, and in overall quality of life. Also, research
publications which we can talk about later on, have shown
that the TESTO does not affect other hormonal levels in
your body like FSH and l age. Therefore, what that
means is young patients or patients that need to stosterone
therapy at a young age can still reproduce because high

(25:46):
to FISTER levels and other products reduce the semen in
the eject show in the ejaculation.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Tell me about the problem with hemic glove levels with
men using the sound strong and I'm sure the listing
audience is going to want to hear this as well.

Speaker 8 (26:05):
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 6 (26:06):
Hemoglobin is a protein containing iron that facilitates the transportation
of oxygen in various blood set in bloods in red
blood cells. But too high of the hemoglobin level can
cause increased risk in thrombosis, which are blood cloths obviously,
which can cause stroll, card attack, and pulmonary embolism. It

(26:30):
can cause high hemoglobin can cause tickning of the blood,
which lead to symptoms like headaches, business fatigue, and chest paints.
It can cause cardiovascular events such as a heart attack
or a stroke, and other complication and complications related to
lung function. You see, the TESTO is the only testosterol

(26:53):
that does not increase humooglobin levels or serum inadecurate, which
is the percentage of hemoglobe and versus total red blood cells.
I mean, we have numerous clinical trials that demonstrate rop
that Netesta doesn't appear to increase serum inmadecurate when compared

(27:14):
to intramuscular testosterone injection, while both modalities returned men to
a healthy functioning level of serum testosterone levels which are
over three hundred nnograms per desolat in eighty three percent
of men. Actually, a very important clinical trial Rob demonstrated

(27:37):
that in men who are risk of developing polycytemia, which
is obstructive sleep apnea, and high baseline amadecurate nasal testosterone
therapy and product like Netesta and other short acting formulations
are to be considered.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
I think that that is amazing. I think that that
is amazing, And obviously I want to apologize for the
misnomer at the beginning of the interview this morning. The
correct pronunciation for the company. Once again, if you would please.

Speaker 6 (28:14):
Sure Sarahs the c E r U S Pharmaceuticals, well,
the global company, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
I'm just gonna say, Fabio Lanzeri, sir as a global
c CEO for A Sarah's and also being taking care
of lampam d. They keep you very busy these days, sir.

Speaker 6 (28:34):
It does, it does, but I enjoy it because I
love innovative ways of improving the patience life and and
and and quality of life.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Well it's I know, I know, I know myself. I
want to try your product because I do have an
issue with sleep apnea, so I want to try that.
And obviously, I think the fact that you're doing this
from a nasal standpoint, because I've known other people. I've
known other people who have taken testosterone and they've went

(29:07):
through that and they've come up a fit because of
the fact that they were injecting it. So I like
the fact that you saw that that was a common
side effect. So I like the fact that you have
a safe approach with this. And obviously I can only
speak highly of you and your organizations because of the
fact that folks like kid you not try pro levamax.
You know, if you've got the bone spurs, or you've

(29:30):
got bad bad ankles, bad knees, a bad back, whatever
it may be, or if you fibromiologia, whatever it may be.
If you have problems, what you want to do is
you want to reach out to Fabio and his team
and they'll get pro Levamax to you. But also with
this Natasto, this is really important. The contact phone number

(29:51):
and that was nine five four nine to one zero
sixty three sixty nine, or you can email Marketing mrk E.
T I at a ce r us dot Co. You know,
we've got about three or four minutes left. I want
to give you the floor to share whatever you want
to talk about with the pharmaceutical aspect of a Saracen

(30:14):
detesta or anything that's going on with pro Libamax. And
I'm proud to announce that on June twenty eighth and
twenty ninth, Bobby and his team, both companies will be
with us at Sawgrass Mills Mall for the fifteenth Daniel
Hurricane Preparedness home Show and healthfare that we do every year.
They'll be with us on the seventeenth of April at
the Abbey North in Delray. They'll be with us on

(30:36):
the eighteenth of April at Lakeworth Towers. Hopefully has someone
from the team will be out there with us Saturday,
April nineteenth at the Boyd and Beach Annual Spring Home
Show and Healthfare. And on April thirtieth, they'll be with
us at the Senior Community Center off of Forest Hill
Boulevard in Wellington. And then you can go to www
dot Greater South Florida Chamber dot com. You'll see a

(30:59):
list of all kinds of other events happening in May
and months moving through the calendar. You're in twenty twenty five.
They'll be at all the events. But go ahead and
take us two three minutes and share with everybody anything
going on cutting edge or any promotions you're running, and
let people know how they can get a hold of you.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Go ahead, sir, yeah, thank you.

Speaker 6 (31:17):
Well, you know we've talked about it in the testil,
So let's talk a little bit about Prolibamax, which is
a product that at thanks to the deficiency the dietary
deficiency of chronic inflammation and pain. You know, when you
have inflammation, it can lead to all diseases are start

(31:42):
by because of high inflammatory levels in your body. And
so therefore what we try to do is to address
that by reducing the amount of chronic inflammation but not
just by attending to the existing inflammation. We wanted to

(32:03):
go to the root cause. Why is all this happening,
and all this happens is because your body produces certain
proteins called cytokines, and these cytokines are pro inflammatory proteins
which attack attack parts of your body that have no inflammation.

Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It's Saturday, the
nineteenth of twenty twenty five and April April nineteenth Easter weekend.
Tomorrow is Easter. We are privileged to be here in
West Beach, Florida this morning at iHeartRadio. We were now
streaming on the iHeart app. Later today from ten o'clock
till six o'clock, we'll be doing our fifteenth annual Holiday
Eastern Home Show and Healthfare at the Boyd and Beach.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Mam.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
We'll be right there at center court. Come on through
and see us. Have with us. Cynthia Ann hayes Hurst,
she is an acupuncturist. She has a company called Serendipity
that's located in Fort Pierce, Florida. But she also sits
on the board with FESOMA, which is FSOMA, which stands
for Florida State Oriental Medical Association and folks. They're a

(35:35):
really really effective group. They're a very large group, but
they're extremely effective and what I'd like for you to do.
I know there's a lot of things going on withinside
of your organization as we get into the second quarter
of twenty twenty five. I want to get out of
the way and let you take the Florida this morning
and share with the listening audience over the next seven,
eight nine minutes what's going on within your organization. Proud

(35:57):
to let everyone know. On the fifteenth of me from
ten thirty till two thirty, there'll be one of the
sponsors with us at the haberd Del Fenn Center for
the Holistic Healthfare, Senior Lifestyle, Boomer Expo, and Business ex
what we're doing there. Go ahead, doctor, Thank you, Bob.

Speaker 10 (36:15):
We have a lot of exciting things going on with
advocacy and this end the Florida State Oriental Medicine Association.
We have our national conference in Washington, d C. And
we also have an ACUD day at the Capitol on
April twenty eighth that is supporting our Medicare bill to
have acupunctures added as physicians on the federal healthcare plan

(36:38):
and that that will be April twenty eighth. I'll be
in DC for that the next The next thing that
we're doing with You is going to be May fifteenth,
and that's going to be a holistic health fare in
Fort Pierce at the Fen Center. And then I wanted
to touch this real briefly on the season that we're
in right now and and some health tips for the time.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
That's awesome, touch on what's what's going on with that.

Speaker 10 (37:06):
Well in springtime, it's in Chinese medicine, every season has
an organ or a meridian pathway. So the liver pathway
is our spring season. So it's warm, it's growing, it
raises up, flares upwards, everything's growing, and it raises like
a fire. So people in springtime that's the best time
to try to support your liver. Your liver is responsible

(37:29):
for a lot of things other than just storing and
moving blood and recycling and cleaning your blood. In Chinese medicine,
it's responsible for emotions of anger and frustration. Suppressing these
things can actually affect how your body's functioning, how your
liver is functioning. A lot of people say, I wake
up in the middle of the night and I don't know,
it seems like I'm always making up at the same time.

(37:49):
I wake up between like one o'clock and three o'clock.
Do you think that means anything?

Speaker 6 (37:53):
It does.

Speaker 10 (37:53):
It's the natural rhythms of your body, and between one
and three is actually when the liver is cycling, So
we during those times could mean that you need to
pay some special attention to your liver and to also
to the emotional attachments too. Maybe you're suppressing things when
you're awake and you're not expressing yourself freely, so then

(38:14):
when you're sleeping, it's interrupting your body's ability to get
good rest and to restore itself because you have these
pent up things that you haven't haven't had a chance
to cycle through. So there's the liver system can be
nourished by eating well. You can eat leafy greens, veggies,
Bitter and sour foods are actually really good for the liver.

(38:37):
Limits things that are greasy and fried foods. That is
partially because the liver is partnered with the gallbladder murdy
and the gallbladder tends not like fatty things and fried things,
and that will bog down the liver gallbladder relationship. Going
to sleep being in bed by like ten thirty and
being asleep by eleven, because that's when the gallbladder starts.

(38:59):
Its cycle is eleven to one in the morning and
then one to three is the liver. You want to
get the most bang for your book. You want to
rebuild your blood as best you possibly can through nutrition,
good sleep, and good emotional health. So these are all
just quick, easy things you can do for yourself. Nothing
that's going to be hard or cost you a ton
of money or anything wild that you have to do.

(39:22):
But those are just some quick you know, springtime tips
for detox of fans, supporting yourself and living your best,
living your best springtime.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Yeah, that's important. Obviously health is paramount. Without health, life
can become quite complicated. You know, once again, not to
be redundant. I plod the efforts of your organization, the
fact that you're out on the front line working with people,
trying to educate them, showing them what to do and
what they should not do so that they can have
paramount health and obviously they can achieve optimal health goals.

(39:56):
And you know, the organization itself. I just want to
have you share this with the listening audience. Statewide, the
number of practitioners, if you would please.

Speaker 10 (40:05):
Three five hundred statewide and then nationally thirty five thousand
acupuncturists throughout the nation.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
And most of you have correct me if I'm wrong,
but most of you have individual practices and you're doing
this above and beyond on your own time. Correct, that
is correct. You know, talk about talk about service, and
talk about giving kudos and hats off. I mean, that's
amazing that you're taking the time to do these things.
Tell people because your professions are very demanding and you

(40:34):
have hectic schedules. I know that because I have friends
of mine within the industry, so obviously I think that
that's neat. And a lot of you have families as well,
so you know, I think it's really really neat. I
know that there's some other initiatives that you've shared in
the past, and we need to share with the listening
audience this morning a little bit about some of the
initiatives that you've helped get passed in Washington, DC and
what you're trying to do right now, if you would.

Speaker 10 (40:55):
Please the Medicare bill that we've been doing. It's actually
been three years that we've been trying to get this
having extra practitioners added to the healthcare bill. In particular,
our profession as acupuncturists. We're the specialist in acupuncture. And
right now, in order to get anybody new added to

(41:17):
the bill, it actually has to be voted on by Congress,
So it has to be placed in front of Congress
to be able to be voted on and added. And
right now we're in such a healthcare crisis with healthcare
practitioners of all kinds. We don't have enough providers to
see people, so any extra providers that you could get,
and in particular, acupuncture is very good because it can

(41:39):
address a lot of different things at the same time,
because we're looking at the person from a whole holistic
point of view, their entire body, not just one part
of what's going on with them, but the whole picture
of what's happening with them, so that we can help
hopefully get them to a better place with balancing their
health and well being and prevent them from ending up

(42:02):
with a lot of catastrophic issues that could occur just
because if you have to wait a year to see
a provider, what was small when you first wanted to
go see the provider could have developed into something that
it's no longer very easy to manage. And most people,
for something small, you're not going to go to the
emergency room. You may go to urgent care if it's

(42:23):
something really pressing and you're like, I can't wait three
four months for an appointment, I'll go to the urgent care.
But a lot of times people will not really realize
how far they are along the path of things not
working out so well for them, and then when they
finally do come to the conclusion that they need to
get some kind of urgent care, now it's probably gone
on for a bit longer than they realized it had

(42:44):
been happening for so if there was easier ways to
access medical care faster and get redirected to the right resources,
that would be super helpful for everyone.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
Well, I hear that noise in the background. We got
about a minute left. I want to thank you for
sharing in with everyone this morning. What's going on. Once again,
it's been doctor Cynthiaenae hayes Hurst. She is with Florida
State orient Medical Association. She's also the propriety of Serendipity
in Fort Pierce, Florida. She'll be with us on the
fifteenth of May at the Habard Offence Center for the

(43:16):
Holistic Healthfare Boomer Expo and Business Expo. Before we sign off,
I'd like for you to give everyone your pertinent contact
information how they can get a hold of you. And
then also if you want to give out the information
for FSOM, you can as well. Go ahead.

Speaker 10 (43:33):
To reach the Florida State Orial Medical Association. The eight
hundred number is eight hundred five seven eight four eight
sixty five. You can find an acupuncturist near you anywhere

Speaker 2 (44:37):
Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It is Saturday,
the nineteenth of April twenty twenty five. It is Easter weekend.
Tomorrow is Easter. Later today, from ten am till six pm,
we will be out at the Boyt and Beach Mall
for the fifteenth annual Holiday Home Show and Healthfare. And
I have with me Gary from Gomez Ripping and Solar Company,

(44:58):
who's one of our Corporate Trustee Ambassadors. And obviously Gary,
your company, Gomez Roofing and Solars different in the sense
that it's hybrid. Obviously, I know that you are a
trusted roofing and solar solution provider serving the Tri County area.
And I know you specialize in residential and commercial roofing,
including tile, metal, shingle and flat roofing. And additionally you

(45:19):
offer the solar solutions and installations and solar water heaters,
pool heaters and things along those lines. And your company's
been around since nineteen eighty three, so you're established and
you're a very effective company. What I want to do is,
you know, there's a lot of noise out there. We
got about eight or nine minutes this morning. I'd like
to have you touch on some of the different things

(45:40):
that are going on with policies, with federal issues, and
how a lot of those things are tied into local markets,
whether it be county, state, and also federal markets as
well national things, because you and I both know you'd
have to be an in so well not to hear

(46:01):
all the noise that's out there. But by the same token,
there are a lot of things that are transpiring right
now and a lot of those are on timelines and
I'm not well versed in that, and you are well
versed in this industry. So I'd like for you to
touch on those things if you could this morning for
the listening audience.

Speaker 8 (46:17):
Okay, Well, first off, I really appreciate the opportunity to
be on your show.

Speaker 6 (46:21):
Again.

Speaker 8 (46:22):
We absolutely love what you do with the community, and
you know it's the best way to start a Saturday
and with some of the questions that you've brought up.
Absolutely I would love to touch on that, and I
think it's a vital focal point for all of us
as homeowners here in Florida. There are a lot of

(46:43):
moving and shifting dynamics on the state level and the
federal level that you know, I'm sure I'm not you know,
smart enough to know all of them by any means,
but we see a lot of this stuff happening. And
you know, for instance, on the roofing side, you know,
we've had my Save Florida, which is a you know
as state funded, you know, grant program for years here
in South Florida, and you know, currently, you know, that's

(47:05):
even at risk, you know, funds not being available for
homeowners or the government no longer granting funds for that.
So you know, blessed are the people that were able
to take advantage of it when it was there. I
meet people every day that wish they would have known
about it, or wish they would have moved quicker about it,
you know previously. And what's done is done. But on

(47:28):
the flip side of that, rob is, you know, we
have the renewable energy. You know, people will always need
to power their homes, cool it down in the summer,
heat it in the winter, and you know, run their power.
The cost of energy is rising on a yearly basis
around the country, and porter is no exception to that.

(47:50):
The cost of energy continues to go up. For the
last several years, we've had amazing tax credits and programs
to our advantage that people have taken advantage of, to
allow them to go solar, to allow them to break
off from the grid and to power their own homes,
and to save thousands of dollars doing it. What we

(48:13):
at risk now is the uncertainty. Is this program going
to be available in a month, Is it going to
be available in three months? Nobody knows because of how
chaotic and hectic the government seems to be right now
on certain topics. So we're really encouraging people if you
haven't looked at it yet, definitely call us up, schedule
a consult you know, have us show you what's currently

(48:36):
available for homeowners to take advantage of, such as a
tax credit, the net metering program and all these tools
that makes it make sense. And then if you have
looked at it, you know, a year ago or two
years ago, and it didn't make sense, why would definitely
encourage you to sit back down a second time before
these options are off the table, and what happens is

(48:57):
we lose them and then the cost of energy, you know,
doubles on us over the next three or four years.

Speaker 10 (49:03):
And you know, we wish we could.

Speaker 2 (49:08):
You know, that's ironic that you touch on that, because
the key word is wish we could, because of the
fact that hindsight's twenty twenty. But like you had mentioned,
you're providing people a viable option. You're giving people an
option to come up with a resolution to help them
overcome anything that they're up against. And like you said,
there are a lot of things where there's uncertainty, and

(49:30):
I think it's really really neat that your organization is
an organization that people can turn to when you're going
to turn to do something to your home, I mean,
that's your livelihood. You know, that's your family's livelihood. You know,
that's what you're going to use to if need be,
to borrow against to pay for your children or grandchildren's education.
You're going to invest through your home to improve your

(49:51):
portfolio and your livelihood for your family. And when you
do that, you want to make sure you're doing things
with a company like yours. It's been around since nineteen
eighty three because you know, I don't know the business
like you do, but I do know the basics and
the sense that I see people that don't have hurricane
windows and doors, or don't have solar panels, or don't
have proper ripping on their homes. I say to myself,

(50:13):
whether it's a home inspection before a sale of a home,
or to get a home a praise so it can
go up on the market. Everything that you do is
so important with helping people improve the value of their home.
And the majority of people use their home as a
lifeline for their economic stabilities in futures. So when you

(50:33):
being willing to work with people when they're going through
uncertainties and being a sounding board for them is really
really important. And kudos and hats off to you and
Phillip in your team because you do a great job
and like not to be redundant when you've been around
for as many years as you have. It's a trusted
name and it's a brand that is well respected, so
you should feel good about that.

Speaker 8 (50:53):
Yeah, we do, and it's just it's creative ways. You know,
you get the nail on the head that you know homeowners,
you know us lucky enough to own a home, whether
it's passed down you know, from our parents, or whether
we've bought it ourselves. It's the one place you should
feel safe. It's the one place you should be able

(51:14):
to go to after a hectic day at work or
out in you know, society where you can just relax
and let your guard down. And you know, nobody wants
to go home and deal with problems or deal with issues,
or we're just not be able to relax. And that's
when having a thoroughly you know, inspected home does that.

(51:36):
It gives you, you know, the peace of mind of
knowing that everything that should be the way it is is.
My roof's good, my energy is good. God forbid there's
a storm. You know, I have the ability to operate
my house when it's not there. Our jobs outside of
just doing the work. The best way possible is teaching

(51:56):
homeowners ways of accomplishing this that they didn't know existed.
For instance, I was at a home this morning and
the homeowner for Fort Saint Lucy lost a portion of
their house during a storm. They've been waiting and waiting
and waiting for the insurance. They don't know when it's
going to come meanwhile, you know, they need to put
a roof on. Their biggest spear rob was that they

(52:19):
were going to have to finance a roof on top
of all their other bills. So what we were able
to do for him is very simply, we bundled their
roof and a solar system together under one contract and
we used that to offset their FDL bill. That's awesome

(52:39):
And yeah, in this case, they went from paying three
hundred dollars a month FBL to you know, paying just
under two hundred and seventy dollars a month, and they
got a brand new roof with it, and they got
the ability to have solar as well, and all the
tax credits that came with it. So you know, imagine
saving thirty dollars a month while getting a brand new roof.

(52:59):
Now you're to save on your insurance down the road
as well.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
Garry, I'm hearing that noise in the background means we
got about fifteen to thirty seconds left. If you can
give everyone your contact information until we have you on
the next segment, and we look forward to doing that
in the very near future. Go ahead, sir, Yeah, you
can email.

Speaker 8 (53:17):
Me at Gary at Gomez dash roofing dot com or
you can actually just reach out to me, text or
call and my personal number is area code nine four
one or eight three zero zero eight eight. Have a
happy Easter everyone, God blessed.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
Thank you Grey, I appreciate it. Happy Easter to you
as well. Sir, thank you.
