Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Greater South Florida Chamber Radio program with
your host to board president John Kroll of Kroll Realty.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Good morning, welcome back to the show. It's Saturday, the
sixth of December twenty twenty five. By the year has flown, folks.
I am Rob the director of Operations with the Greater
South Florida Chamber of Commerce, and this is one of
our weekly radio programs which is called the Best of
South Florida.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Business.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
With me is Corporate Trust, the Ambassador's new health partner,
and with me specifically is Angel Perez, and Angel's the
vice president of marketing in New Health Life. And what
I want to do is get out of the way
this morning and give you and your team an opportunity
to introduce yourself, give out proper contact information, let people

(00:49):
know how can get ahold of you. But before I do,
I want to remind everybody later today from ten am
until six or seven pm this evening, and then again
tomorrow from ten am till seven or we'll be out
at the Sadgrass Mills Mall in between Prime Mark and
Brand Smart for our annual holiday home show and business expo.
And one of the Angels colleagues will be there with us.
Arrest this will be with us, And I just want

(01:11):
to let people know that your organization right now is
doing some really neat things. You kind of control cutting
edge technology in your sector, but you wear multiple hats.
It's a hybrid thing. And what I would like for
you to do is you don't want to get right
into it a little bit, because you know, health insurance
can be complex and overwhelming for many angels. The way

(01:32):
that your team approaches it is different. How does your
team approach storytelling to make health insurance options more human,
relatable and empowering for consumers, because, let's face it, that's
a big challenge for companies out there in today's marketplace.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Hey Rob, first of all, thank you for having me.
It's a pleasure to be on Yes. As the company
is so a New Hope partner. I am the VP
of Marketing Creative Services, So I guess I'll be giving
you a bit of a perspective on the I guess
on our messaging and our core values as far as
the company. But it's a great question. It is a

(02:08):
very complex, I guess service to really explain, and I
think the the you know, the it's easy and you
can simplify it or you can you can you can
make it easier once you focus on real people. So
there's a lot of conversations on policy subsidies. Of course
these things are very important, you know, when someone's trying

(02:30):
to make a decision. But I think it's establishing human
connection is the essential approach to you know, conveying. Uh,
you know what you do as a business center and
as a product. So we always you know, in our
messaging and we talk about parents, uh, small business owners,
young adults that are getting comforted for the very first time.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
You know. The way we focus on people whose lives
are improved because they're having h do having access to
healthcare that they never had before. So a lot of
a lot of it is we highlight a lot of
the struggles, you know, the wins, the relief that they
feel when someone finally helps the navigate all their options.
So I think when consumers see themselves in our stories,

(03:11):
it builds trust and you know, and again it's our
approach to their creative team. We try to be intentional
about showing the heart behind health insurance, not just the paperwork.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Absolutely and kudos, it hats off to you and your team.
You're doing an outstanding job, and I wish there were
more companies out there like yours paid detail to I
mean detailed attention rather to customer service, because that is
one of your core values. I mean, your customer service
is impeccable, and you cannot say that about a lot
of companies, regardless of the industry classification today seems to

(03:46):
be unfortunately lost art in our country. Your organization often
talks about serving people first. How does that philosophy influence
your branding, the messaging and the tone you set across
all marketing channels. Can you elaborate on that?

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Angel Sure, I'm not trying to look good to my boss,
but really the tone, why not you are by our ceo.
The tone is said by our CEO totally fail. Hopefully
he's lizardly, but he really is. I mean from the
from the top down. Uh, he's He's helped countless of
people and he really drills him to everyone in the company.

(04:20):
How you know, doing good by people is really the
right way to do distance. So I think that's really
instilled into every you know, every employee, every effort, you know,
every sales, every attention to detail. As you mentioned, we
recently I guess I'll give you. You know, it's just
adding on to the core belief one of other campaigns

(04:41):
that we launched touches on that you're more than just
a deductible. So we focus again on the human side.
But you know, it's just that it really the influence
that we have on our messaging is exactly that. It's like,
you know, we want to see you more than the
paperwork or the deductible or just the you know, the

(05:03):
I guess the necessary evil of the industry. And I
hate to use that word, but you know it's very complex,
so we try to simplify it and we try to see, hey,
just focus on people on this Court message. You know,
it's it's it's an attempt for us to avoid fear
based messaging and just instead aim for reassurance, you know,

(05:25):
clarity and encouragement, which is ultimately what people want and
what they're going to you know, where they're going to trust.
And again it comes from from our fearless leader, Tony
fail where you know, he's he's told countless of stories
of people. You know how rewarding it's been for him
to help, you know, someone who's had a dire medical
emergency and he's helped him out. So it really is
a great company to work in that regard that that

(05:48):
they you know, we pride ourselves in the human side.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
I like that, you know, angel in your experience, what's
the most rewarding aspect of building campaigns for individuals in
families and their loved ones who rely on ACA or
Medicare coverage and how does that impact.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
The way you lead your creative team? Can you elaborate
on that?

Speaker 6 (06:12):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (06:12):
I guess the most rewarding is really knowing that your
work truly matters. I think that ultimately, if you can
if you can narrow it down to that, you know,
to a simple you know, I guess essence to what
you do is that what you're doing really matters because
you are making so much, you know, such a large
difference in someone's life and really helping.

Speaker 7 (06:33):
Them when they're you know, when they're in dire need.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
So the work that we do, uh, you know, is
getting helping people get access to life changing healthcare is
is you know, it's a it's a very noble cause
it's a business, but you know, there's so much humanity
lost in it. And that's something that we're trying to
you know that we uh, you know, constantly try to

(06:57):
you know, to get above that and just really focus
on that site. It really is the fuel that drives
all of.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Us, you know.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
And that's neat because you know, I've met dozens of
people from your team, and I know you have a
very large organization, but generally when you meet an organization,
regardless of what they do, you'll see common barometers between
the personalities of the people. And I don't want to
be redundant, but one of the things that impressed me

(07:27):
most about your organization from when I initially met Agnes
of the other dozens of people who I've worked with
who are colleagues and teammates of yours, was the fact
that everybody was zeroed in. They were all on board
with dot THEI, cross the t, make that extra phone call,
respond to that extra email, do whatever it takes to

(07:49):
make sure that you're giving exemplemary customer service to our
people who are working with us. And you get a
lot of referral business that way as well. And that's
not always the case, because you know, there's an old
adage business. You know it as well as I do.
It's like, if you do something good for someone, they're
going to tell people about you. If you do something
bad to somebody, they're going to tell everybody about you.

(08:11):
And one of the neat things that I was able
to do early on it was I was like, Wow,
these people have exemplary Google reviews. They have a really
good background, and it was neat to see that when
you're referring people, whether it's people that are meeting people
at the events that we do, meeting people through the network,
or people that are listening to the radio. You know,
we're on iHeartRadio on a weekly basis. Not a lot

(08:32):
of organizations can lay claim to that. We're far from perfect,
but it definitely is serviceable and it serves its purpose.
And to be able to have an organization like yours
to help them carry their messages really really really neat.
You know, in a constant shifting health insurance landscape, you
know your leadership team does stay grounded and guide the
marketing vision with clarity and purpose, and that's not an

(08:54):
easy thing to do.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
One hundred percent thank you for those kind of words,
and I think it really ultimately lands it's intentional. It's
like we cultivate a team culture that has the empathy.
You know, it's just the way we approach every detail
and every and every h you know part of our business.

Speaker 5 (09:15):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Yes, the landscape is there's a lot of talk going now,
there's a lot of changes, there's a lot of conversations
you know, happening in DC, so there is a lot
of uncertainty. I guess the way we stay grounded is
by just focusing on what never changes, which is people.
So you know, regulations will shift, timelines may tighten. Uh.

(09:35):
You know, the ACA marketplace is always evolving.

Speaker 8 (09:38):
It happens every year.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
But the individuals and the families, they still need the
clear guidance, they still need the affordable options and then
someone that they trust. So it's it's something that aligns
for our leadership team and it's the constant and then
I guess we pass it on to everybody, you know,
every sales everyone, everyone that's part of our family, our
family companies. So so yeah, from from the compliance side,

(10:04):
you know how how detail we are with you know,
with all the carrier partners and all the field teams,
so you know, we're always ahead of changes. Uh. But
the marketing vision is always anchored in one principle. You know,
it's like empower people with clarity, empathy, and accessibility.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
You know, with so much uncertainty and regulations and consumer
expectations at all time high, how do you ensure your
creative strategies stay aligned with the primary core mission of
helping people access the coverage they.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Need and deserve.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
Uh, again, it's it's intention, you know. We we approach
every campaign by asking a simple question, will this make
someone's life easier? So it's really simplifying the language that
we used, you know, designing the tools on the on
the tech side that allows people to have you know,
step by step highlighting you know, some of the stories

(10:59):
and how we help others. Excuse me, I'm getting a
bit of a cough. So so we you know, work
closely with agents and community partners who are on the
front line. So listening to the feedback, you know, helps
our strategies reflect what people are actually facing.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
No, that's it's ironic that you say that, because obviously
the primary goal is to put people's vested interest at heart.
You're you're looking to do the next right thing for
people because you know, unfortunately, the industry as a whole
as you know, whether it's a hospital, whether it's a provider,
whether it's a carrier, whatever it may be. Things have

(11:39):
gotten large, you know, and unfortunately a lot of times
people feel lost in the shuffle. They feel like they're
just a number. And you know, obviously, I think what
your core values are aligning with or to make people
feel important, to make them feel special, and when you
go and do that for an individual or a group
of people, it's extremely important that they realize those things.

(12:01):
And you know, you do so many things because you
have so many irons in the fire for lack of
better grammar, you're moving in so many different directions and
you're doing them all very well. That's the neat thing
about it. It's you know, you're kind of a one
stop shop for people. And I know in future interviews
with your colleagues or another interview with you, well we'll
touch on that. But it's very interesting to see that.

(12:22):
You know, I'm hearing that music. We're coming to the
end of the interview here, We've got about sixties and
ninety seconds left. What I want to do is give
you an opportunity to give out your contact information and
let people know how they can get a hold of
you and your team.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Well again, thank you, thank you for having us. You know,
it comes down to really, you know, the more chaotic
our industry is, the more feels chaotic. Our job is
to remove complexity and you know, not add to it.
So that's really at the core over that least. So
again the company is called a New Health Partner. Our
number is eight sixty six ninety three seven for zero

(12:59):
four seven. Again eight sixty six nine three seven for
zero four seven. And again, Rob, thank you so much
for having me on and it was a pleasure speaking
with you.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Thank you once again, folks, it's been Angel Perez, the
vice president of Marketing here at New Health Life New
Health Partners. Later today from ten am to six pm,
their team will be with us out at the Sagres
Mills Mall today and tomorrow for the holiday home show
and expo.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
And I want to.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Thank you for your time this morning, Angel, and have
a wonderful weekend and God bless my friend.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Happy holidays.

Speaker 8 (13:29):
Thank you as well, God blessed.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Sir.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Good morning, folks, welcome back to the show. It is Saturday,
December sixth, twenty twenty five. My how the year is
flying a few weeks away from Christmas. Before you know
it will be New Year's I am Rob the director
of Operations at the Greater South Florida Chamber of Commerce.
This is one of our weekly radio programs called the
Best of South Florida. Business with Me is Corporate Trustee
Ambassador Joseph Joe McCormick of Dreams Business Resources. Folks, there's

(14:30):
a lot of cool programs out there that people are
not aware of. If you are a small business owner
or you an employee that works for a small business.
Maybe your wife has a stay at home business, or
you have a secondary business, whatever it may be, Daniel,
A lot of people are working two jobs. Joe as
with you and I've talked about I know, I am,
I know you do a lot of things.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
You moonlight and other things as well.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Whatever it takes to get the bills paid. This day
and age, the glass is always a quarter of the
way full number three quarters of the way empty. But
I want to talk a little bit about out some
of these programs that you have that are accessible for people,
because all they need to do is reach out to
Joe and he'll set up a consultation for these great
giving of his time. You may qualify for some of
these things, and I want to elaborate on a few

(15:13):
of them. And then I also want to talk about
the new thing that you're doing. I know that there's
a new option for people who are panicking out there,
because there's a lot of people are panics on one
of them about what's going to come around the corner
in twenty six with the healthcare coverage that's going on
out there in today's world. But I'm going to get
out of the way and let you introduce yourself and
talk about some of these cool programs that are accessible

(15:35):
not just for our chamber members or people within our network,
but anybody who's a listener to our program, because I
know a lot of people tune in regularly, Joe can
help you.

Speaker 8 (15:43):
Go ahead, Joe, Hey, Rob, thanks for having me. Thanks
for the nice introduction. Again. My name is Joe McCormick
representing Dreams Business Resources, and that's exactly what we do.
We have B to B resources, all top grade, world class.
I want to touch on three today, and one being

(16:05):
what Rob was just talking about. It is an alternative
to the exchange, the ACA exchange. Those plans, as you
probably know if you've had one, well, they're not very
good and they're very expensive, and they're going to get
even more expensive. We have an alternative. It's still a
major medical plan. It is slightly underwritten, but I tell

(16:28):
you it's going to be forty to sixty percent less
than what you're paying through the exchange. So give us
that opportunity. I can be reached at seven eight six
four zero four eleven forty two. And if previously, before
the exchange you were turned down for health insurance, we
have some very very good underwriting and we're getting people

(16:52):
approved every day. As I understand that they're doing ten
thousand applications a month, absolutely credible, seven eighty six four
or four eleven forty two. Now, Rob one. The next
program that I'd like to talk about, and we've talked
about it many times, is the R and D Research

(17:13):
and Development tax credit that's available to businesses. By answering
a few questions, the money that is out there available
to businesses is astronomical. The average tax credit is two
hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Now, of course there's plenty
less than that. Summer, many many more. We did a

(17:35):
fertilizer company not long ago over one million dollar tax credit. Now,
this money has been available since the early eighties, this
tax credit since the early eighties. The big beautiful Bill
is actually standing this up and bolts ding it. So
there's going to be plenty more money and it's going

(17:56):
to be easier to qualify for. So in the past,
Rob again, as we've talked about, companies don't believe that
they're eligible for a research and development And here's one
of the ways. If you're an owner or a CFO
and you're listening in. If you have a process or
a product that you improve upon or you create, you

(18:21):
try to improve upon. Even if you fail, you're going
to be eligible for a research and development tax credit.

Speaker 5 (18:28):
It is that simple.

Speaker 8 (18:30):
It is that simple. If you have a product or
a process that you improve upon or try to improve upon,
you're going to be eligible for a research and development
tax credit. It's a very very easy process to go through.
Claims are generally paid in about thirty to forty five days.
We have a multimillion dollar proprietary software that does this.

(18:52):
This is why the CPAs don't do this. It's very
very difficult to do these. We make it very easy
because of our platform. So again seven eighty six, four
zero four eleven forty two, and usually like to talk
a little bit about the R and D yourself, Rob,

(19:12):
So I'm going to hand it off to you before
we get into the last thing.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Yeah, I think the cool thing about the R and
D program is the fact that there's so many people
out there that are not aware that it even exists,
or they're under that falsenessnomber that oh well, that program
ended during the end of the last administration.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Not true. Due to the Big Beautiful Bill and a.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Lot of other things that have transpired in late twenty
four and early twenty five. There's a lot of money
that was put into that program to be somewhat of
a parachute for lack of better grammar, for small businesses
to make sure that they could get their hands on
some type of funding during those trying times that everybody's
been going through for the last two to three years.

(19:55):
So it's been tough out there, and here again there's
a lot of noise, but there is funding there for
people because as you and I both can attest, you,
Joe's pretty rough to go into a bank this day
and age and try to secure a loan.

Speaker 8 (20:07):
Oh absolutely, rob absolutely, And another thing that I wanted
to say about the R and D. If you do qualify,
one of the very very cool things is is you
can go back to previous three years and collect that
tax credit as well. And this is a perpetual tax credit.
Every year you're going to qualify for it, and it's

(20:30):
a direct credit against your tax liability. So if I
were to throw some numbers out, like last year you
paid twenty five grand in taxes, and this year you qualify,
we would go back and for the previous year do
that R and D tax credit, and that would give
you a check right back into your pocket. So very

(20:52):
very great program for small businesses, medium sized businesses. The
big businesses are already doing it. They know about this,
trust me, that's why they don't pay any taxes.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
That is true. That is true, Joe.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
What are some of the other things that you want
to share with the listening audience this morning.

Speaker 8 (21:13):
Well, we also have any company that's out there doing payroll,
which is the pretty much everybody. If you're doing payroll
and you have payroll taxes, that can always be a bane.
Every year, every quarter, every month, you're paying the fighta taxes.
We have a program that piggybacks a health efficiency plan

(21:34):
which doesn't get in the way of your major medical
or anything else that you're going on, that will create
a fighter reduction for your business. The business is going
to experience a six hundred dollars savings per employee per year,
and the employee themselves, depending on where they live, are
going to get a pay raise of anywhere from eighty

(21:56):
to one hundred and twenty dollars a month.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Ful.

Speaker 8 (22:00):
Thing about this rub It can be delivered at zero
net cost, that's right, zero net cost. And these plans
are getting better and better. I remember the first one
that we started with at Dreams. We have now taken
on another one. It is incredible, It's absolutely incredible the benefits.

(22:20):
The employees are gonna love it because they don't have
any deductibles, there's no copays, there's no paperwork, and the
employer is going to like it because he's basically giving
a a raise and no money's coming out of his pocket.
So it's a beautiful plan. Love to talk to any
business owner who employs twenty or more, twenty or more
W two's and we'll get their savings started as well.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
That's very very important. I'll tell you that. Yeah, I'm
hearing that music in the background.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Joe.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
It means we got about sixty seconds left. Give everyone
the pertinent contact information. Let people know how they can
get ahold of you. I want to remind everybody later
today from ten am until six pm and again tomorrow
from ten am until six or seven pm, we'll be
out at the Southgress Mills Mall for the holiday home
showing X well. But Joe, let people know how they
can get ahold of you, and Joe, we have you
on next segment.

Speaker 8 (23:10):
Benny, Thanks Rob again. My name is Joe McCormick is
Dreams Business Resources. I can be reached at seven eight
six four zero four one one four to two seven
eighty six, four oh four eleven forty two. Really really
look forward to talking to you.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
Thanks Rob, Thank you Joe.

Speaker 2 (23:27):

Good morning, Welcome back to the show at Saturday, December sixth,
twenty twenty five. I'm Robbed, the director of Operations with
the Greater South Florida Teamber of Commerce. This is one
of our weekly radio programs called the Best of South
Florida Business. Later today from ten am till six pm,
and tomorrow from ten am till six pm, we'll be
out at the Sagas Mills Mall for annual holiday home
show and business Expo. In between Primark and Brand Smart

(25:00):
with me as corporate trust thee Ambassador Steven Sunshine. He
is the president of Marketing for five Star Visibility. They
are the preferred digital marketing company we use at the
Greater South Florida Chamber of Commerce. And for anybody out
there in the listening audience, regardless if you're in our
network or if you're a member of our organization, it's
even better and there are promotions.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
To help you with that.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
But what I want to talk about this morning is
the free digital marketing evaluation that Steve and his team
are doing for our members as well as people in
our network. And I want to talk about the importance
of having proper social media as we go into twenty
twenty six, even more important now than it's ever been,

(25:42):
because if your messaging is not correct, you're probably not
going to resonate with people properly, and you're not going
to be able to generate a lot of income. I'm
going to get out of the way because Steve is
an expert in this field and he's going to talk
about the free digital marketing evaluation, but he's also going
to let people in the listening audience know how he
and his team of experts can help you improve your standing.

Speaker 5 (26:02):
Go ahead, sir, Hey, thank you, Rob, and I just
want to commend you guys to do an excellent job
for this South Florida business market. You know, it's great
to have someone like Rob keep pushing you to get
more and more business. You need all the allies you
can in marketing. But let me introduce myself. My name
is Steve Sunshine. I'm, like you said, the president of

(26:24):
marketing at five Star Visibility. We are a local digital agency.
We're located on Cyprus Creek, just about a block or
two west of ninety five, so we are a local company.
It's so much better to deal with a local company
to support the local market. That's what Rob's business is
all about, the chamber, and the same thing for us.

(26:45):
We find it's so much better to work with local customers.
We can come to your shop, we can come to
your office, you can come to our office. We do
face to face discussions. This is how marketing is supposed
to be done. One company understands the other's goals, the needs,
and they work together to achieve a common goal. So
many businesses you know we talked to, they come to us.

(27:07):
They say, yeah, we've got a guy who we haven't
been able to talk to in months, or can't get
access or can't do this. Because many businesses go through
a normal process of picking somebody they know to help
and build the site. Then that doesn't work out right.
Then the next thing they do is they find I
got a guy who's in India or some other country

(27:28):
that's extremely low cost. But you pay ten times more
for the loss of business than you do for the
savings in programming and then the natural progression is you
go find a professional company to help you drive proper
success and build your business. So enough speech for me,
let's talk about the free digital marketing evaluation through the Chamber.

(27:52):
We have this special offer where one of our digital
experts goes through your website, your social media, your Google
presence and gives a analysis to you in a simple
report with abcd F grades, so you can kind of
understand how professionals look at your marketing presence. Is it

(28:12):
delivering consistent messaging? Is it updating? Is it performance okay?
Are you listed in Google? Is your social media having
a good message? So that's why Rob and I have
come up with this program. Anybody within earshot of this
offer and related to the Chamber and in the network,
we offer this and no charge, no obligation. You just

(28:36):
go to five Star Visibility dot com slash chamber to
request a free evaluation five Star Visibility with the number
five five Star Visibility dot com slash chamber. Fill that out.
It takes us a little while to get it done
because we've got to schedule it and we have to
have one of our experts look at it, and then
we'll schedule a zoom call with you or a meeting

(28:56):
face to face and we'll go over it and give
you some insight, answer your questions. Again, no obligation, free.
We do this like Rob does his business. We try
to earn business by doing the right things for our
future clients and our current clients. So Chamber five star
Visibility slash Chamber. Now let's talk about social media. This

(29:19):
is a very unknown monster that businesses try to address.
They have their cousin, their sister, their daughter, their niece,
try to do some marketing and they throw some crap
against the wall and they see if anything sticks, Well,
that's okay if it's not important to you. If it's
important to you and you want it to drive business,

(29:41):
if you wanted to find new leads, if you wanted
to support your mission as far as how you deal
and talk to your clients, then you really just need
a great strategy. It doesn't have to be an expensive strategy.
It just has to be a good strategy, meaning, how
do I communicate with the pe people that are going
to find me? Am I talking their language? Am I

(30:03):
talking to them, not over them or underneath them, as
far as what they know and understand? The most important
thing with social media, all the posts you do and
the stories and the reals is do they provide value
to the audience and are they reaching the right audience?

(30:26):
If you're selling kid shoes, you don't want to find
you know, twenty eight year old, you know, men looking
to do other things. You're trying to locate the audience
that will be the most receptive to your offering to
your business. And then you want to talk to them
and engage with them and give them value, prove your

(30:47):
worth so they say, you know what, this is a
good company. I want to seek them out and give
them my money. Otherwise you're just posting to post. You know,
everyone has scroll through their timelines and everything else and
seeing all the stuff that goes through, and every once
in a while, something grabs your attention because you're in

(31:07):
the market, or you're interested in that subject, or it's
a competitor of yours. You see how it grabs your attention.
You need to think what grabs attention. Let me give
you a simple example. We have a plumbing company, and
what grabs attention with plumbing not much because you only

(31:29):
need it when something really breaks, or you're building a
house or an addition or something. But in the meantime,
what we have talked to them about is delivering tips
and insights on how they keep the plumbers away and
keep their house running efficiently and not leaking and not
waiting for the repair bill to come a couple of

(31:50):
years down the road where it's tens of thousands of dollars,
where you could have alleviated that upfront by just doing
a little maintenance. So their perspective that we talked to
them was delivering value by giving insights and helpful tips
to keep the expense of a plumber away. That's a
great strategy to prove that you're worth something before you

(32:14):
ask for money. Okay, it's like the old adage. You
know when you meet a girl or a guy meets
a woman or whatever, and the first five minutes they say,
do you want to get married? Well, I don't know you. You
haven't earned my respect, you haven't earned my interest. I
don't know if we're compatible. I don't know if there's
something better. So you have to prove your value with

(32:35):
social media, okay, to you know, to gain leads or
new business the other strategies with social media. And I
hope we're not running out of time. I got so
much to say on this subject. The other strategy with
social media is supporting your business. How do you support
your business? Maybe you can alleviate some of the service
calls and support calls you get by putting out information

(32:58):
about your company or off for your products on social
media and use it as a support channel or a
support hub for your business. Many many software companies do this.
They try to build a community of users to talk
amongst themselves so they don't make demands on the actual
company to cost them money doing service. Every customer that

(33:21):
you can deliver great service to will eventually potentially come
back to you and spend money or refer you some business.
Hey I don't need any plumbing today, but my sister does.
Let me tell her about your company, because you guys
have earned my respect, earned my business. So social media
is all about strategy. If you don't know how to

(33:42):
do strategy, give us a call if you or research
online is a million ways to get smarter. Some people
do it themselves. Some people need a professional organization. It
depends on the stakes that are in the game. If
it's a low interesting, low importance, do it yourself. If
you need to make money, call a professional again see

(34:03):
Sunshine five Star Visibility. We're in Fort Lauderdale. You can
call me direct at nine five four two eight nine

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
I'm Rob the director of Operations with the Greater South
Florida Chamber of Commerce. This is one of our weekly
radio programs, The Best of South Florida Business Today is Saturday,
December sixth, twenty twenty five. Later today from ten am
until six pm will be out at the Sagrass Mills
Mall for annual holiday home showing business Expo. With us
this morning is John Kroll from Crow Really, who is

(35:40):
the board president at the Greater South Florida Chamber of Commerce.
Our motto as we roll with Kroll, John, I want
to get right into it today. I want to talk
a little bit about Crow Really. You've been around since
nineteen fifty one. Your folks, Carl and Irene founded it.
You have over seventy five years as a boutique, family
held real estate company. You do everything from real estate investments,
seminars and workshops. You worked at the Trump Institute. You

(36:03):
have a property management arm. You do commercial real estate.
You're working on stuff up at the Treasure Coast, and
you're also doing a lot of refro business helping people
buy and sell homes. Now for people, if you go
to the website croll really de k R L l
R e A L t Y, you're going to find
out some things about the dream home Finder, tips for buyers,

(36:24):
homeowner information, titling, escro information, mortgage information, and mortgage rates.
It's very very important. And then obviously if you're looking
for someone you know people who are sellers, you want
probate information, free market analysis, tips for sellers, resources like
new construction, schools, relocation, weather, real estate glossary, and improving

(36:46):
your credit score. Touch on what you're seeing out there.
I mean, so many people are like, oh the bubble burst,
things aren't where they were, the mortgage rates are too high.
What's your take on the whole thing?

Speaker 12 (36:59):
Yeah, Rob, thanks for me on him to talk to you. Yes, definitely. Yeah.
I just rolled out a new on the drop down
when you go to the website, there's a more section
on the top. There's a hyperlink you drop down, and
I just added a improve your credit score which people

(37:19):
underestimate your credit score because that is very important, Uh,
in the purchasing aspect of real estate, and so a
lot of people just overlook that and they don't keep
their score straight, meaning that you know your score is
going to help you buy a home that you might

(37:43):
want to look at a home that's a little bit
more than your budget, but your score might put you there.
If it's lower, it might not. So those are things
that are important. So that's one of the links I
just added on there. It's really cool. You can go
in there and open it up and sign up and
matter of fact, the girl that it's part of the
chamber paym Capucci. I don't know if I'm pronouncing her name,

(38:08):
but yeah, yeah, that's their links. So they're they're rolling
stuff out with the mortgage company. So that that was
really that's one thing good about the chamber with the
with connecting with people too as well. But again staying
on topic with with the site. The one thing people
don't understand when they search, people collect their information and

(38:33):
you get people contacting you, where my site is the
only way I contact you. You if you reach it
back to me. So if you want to do a
chat or send me a message, I'll get back to you.
But there's a lot of good resources on there, so
you just like general resource information like schools and whether

(38:55):
you know you got your real estate gloss rate, can
go to any topic that you're thinking about real say,
you can go on there and click on and find
out information that would be very helpful for you.

Speaker 3 (39:08):
That's really that's important. That's very important.

Speaker 8 (39:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (39:13):
The thing too because I don't you know people, I've
been doing this for a long time, so I see
what irritates people and like for instance, like if you
go on Google and you search at home and put
watery on the water and you want a deep waterhouse,
you get on there, you're going to get hit with
about so many phone calls because what happens is that

(39:34):
information is sold to all the realtors and so then
your information, you're going to be contacted by a number
of agents. That's just the nature of the business. So
and you're basically not even getting into the listing agent.
You're getting to a broker that's paid for a service
that is able to access their information as when they

(39:58):
go on to the website where my side, if you
go on to it proyalty dot com, you can search
all those properties has the same feed. I have the
IDXP that has all the listings of any brokers, so
you know, if you want to search on air and
you find something that's interesting, or if you need help
on your search, I can critique it. You can also

(40:20):
set up your own automatic search where it will notify
you when a property comes up in a neighborhood that
you're looking at price point, square footage, garage, waterfront, all
that stuff, school districts. It's really cool.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
That is important because you definitely want to make sure
if you're purchasing a home that you're buying in the
right area. And obviously if you're selling a home that's
in the right area versus an area that could be
urban blight, it's going to be a really easier to
sell a home in a good area than it is
in an area that you know, I mean not to
say that could be in one of the Opportunities zones

(40:57):
or an area that's being gentrified, like perfectly example, I've
heard you talk about it. You know, money's made on
the buy side, not on the cell side.

Speaker 3 (41:06):
And I saw.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
From like twenty eighteen through twenty twenty three, one of
the areas that seemed to be a hotbed for people
buying stuff and making money off of it. On the
buy side was Pompado Beach and some of the surrounding
areas correct.

Speaker 12 (41:21):
Correct, Yeah, yeah, and that that is so true too.
People don't realize that. You know, as you own a property,
you pay down your mortgage, and when you advertise a loan,
if you stayed in at ten fifteen years, you're basically

(41:41):
at the term of the end of your loan. You're
paying basically all principle. So everything you're doing, you're building equity.
So it's it's like money in the bay. So people
don't realize that. And you have an asset at home
that's appreciated so much over the years. I mean, I
look at people that I sold property to and I've
been doing this for forty six years, and you know,

(42:03):
people that have sold their house ten years later, fifteen
years later making almost double what they've bought the house for.
Depends on areas, but you know, it's a great investment,
you know. And so anybody out there renting, you know,
give me a call. Maybe I can help you structure
a deal to buy a house. And look at your

(42:24):
whole picture, and you know, look at the opportunities. Talk
to your accountant, the account will tell you to buy
the house instead of renting.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
Yeah, they will, because.

Speaker 12 (42:37):
There are things that you have to think about when
you're when you're making an investment, I mean, make an
investment at a rental, you know how it is, You're
you're I'm trying to get you to get squared away
on a property. So hopefully this year we'll find you
something soon.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Rob, I hope so too, John, I do. It's been
a while, I'll tell you, because there's definitely no ideb.
There's no equity in rent, that's for sure.

Speaker 12 (43:01):
I know you're making the landlord rich, that's for sure.
But yes, it's a fun business is helping people, you know,
achieve their goal, their dream, you know, and having to
navigate into something that you know, in the long run
it's going to be the best investment they're going to
ever make, which just is it's rewarding, very rewarding.

Speaker 3 (43:26):
That is true. That is true, sir. You know.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
So we got about a minute left. Share anything else
that's going on that you want to elaborate on, and
then obviously I want you to give out your contact
information so people know the best way to get a
hold of you, and anything else that's going on because
I know you're working on a lot of different stuff
up in the Treasure Coast and you have some other
projects that you do as well.

Speaker 12 (43:48):
Yeah, that's what that's what I do.

Speaker 8 (43:51):
I'll edit this.

Speaker 12 (43:51):
I kind of search around because I got this kind
of when I was working with the Trump Institute selling
inventory people. But I look what's going on the infrastructure
like roads and new development sites that they're they're raw
land and what they're going to be doing with the land.
But those are things that you know, if you want
to reach out to me, you can reach out my

(44:13):
cell number. It's ninety five four four one zero twenty
three oh one. Again, like I said, our website is
www dot Cralrealty dot com. And if you want to
get to me how those are the ways to get
to me.

Speaker 3 (44:27):
Jehan.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
I want to thank you for your time this morning.
Once skin folks, it's been John Kroll, CEO of Croll

we have a radio and podcast room that's state of

(44:48):
the art as well. Stop buying CS five four four
seven North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale three three three zero eight, John,
have a wonderful weekend and God blessed.

Speaker 2 (45:33):
Good morning, Welcome back to the show. I'm Rob from
the Greater South Florida Chamber of Commerce. This is one
of our weekly radio programs called the Best of South Florida.
Business with Me is one of our corporate Trustee Ambassadors.
His name is Brad Curtis. He is the director of
operations and the proprietor of the River City's Gazette been
around for forty five years.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
It was founded by his.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
Father, Hall of Famer Tom Curtis of the Miami Dolphins
and University of Michigan. And for the last forty five years,
if you were in Miami Springs, Virginia Gardens, Medley or
Durrell and you needed to have something done from a
advertising standpoint where you went through the River City's Gazette,
you still do. I'm proud to let you know that

(46:13):
there are digital now, folks. And later today from ten
am till six pm, we're going to be out at
the Sadgress Mills Mall per annual holiday home show and
business expo. And again tomorrow on Sunday, December seventh, from
ten am till six pm. With us is Brad Curtis
from the River City's Gazette. Let's get started.

Speaker 14 (46:29):
Brad, Hey, Mo, Rob, Hey, you're exactly right. We're more
than halfway through November already. You know, we're almost here
to Thanksgiving and then Christmas and New Year's and we're
on the twenty twenty six. But like you were saying,
River Citysgazette dot Net is our new spot online and
we're a huge success already out here in the River

(46:52):
Cities areas Miami Springs, Virginia Gardens, Medley, and we have
discount advertising available, so make sure you give me a
call if you need something around here as far as
Avatise Digital Marketing seven eight six five eight seven three
zero ninety three. But yeah, I'm here in front of
the new mural out in the back of Uncle Haiks Hideaway.

(47:14):
Just a beautiful setting.

Speaker 7 (47:16):
And believe it or not, it's the only mural in.

Speaker 14 (47:18):
The River Cities at a private business because of red
tape and ordinances and things like that. But yeah, tomorrow,
you know, looking forward to that holistic healfare later today,
and it's gonna be a good fun time with with
Bingo and everybody smiles and laughed, and that's what you

(47:40):
do around here. You have events, and this weekend is
just chock full of events. There's like the five K run,
and there's.

Speaker 7 (47:48):
The Farmer's Market, and there's.

Speaker 14 (47:49):
All kinds of stuff going around here. So you know,
whatever you can get over here and enjoy one of
these events, you need to do. So in Miami Springs,
I know, we're.

Speaker 2 (47:59):
Really excited about being there with you, and we're excited
about continuing to work with you in twenty twenty six,
and want to let everybody know in the listening audience
if you're in that area and you market in Miami
Springs and the surrounding areas through January first, So between
now and January first, twenty twenty six, if you do
business with them and you buy one of their digital

(48:21):
packages platforms, you do get a complementary standard membership normally
valued at three hundred and fifty five dollars through the
Greater South Florida Chamber of Commerce, and you'll qualify for
your first event at fifty percent off, so you can
get a booth at any of our events because we
do events in that area as well as throughout the
Track County area, and a lot of people do business
in South Florida as a whole. So that's a promotion

(48:43):
we're running in conjunction with the River City's Gazette because
we believe in what they're doing and we believe in
their continued success. Bradney's family and his father have been
doing this successfully for over forty five years. Success doesn't
happen by accident. It certainly doesn't happen by accident for
forty five years. So kudos and hats off to you
and your team for continuing to carry on the family

(49:05):
tradition and doing the next right thing to carry the
torch for the businesses. Because you know, Brad, you and
I we know each other pretty well, and we're pretty
common on most things. And you and I both agree
that the glass is half full rather than half empty.
You know you're going to get out of life what
you put into it. No need to belly ache and harp.
And there's a lot of noise out there, and a
lot of people complain and do them and gloom. I

(49:26):
choose to not go there. I know you do as well.
Just roll up your sleeves, work hard. If you have
to work two jobs, I do it. I work a
part time job on top of my job. I know
you work your tail off, Brad. So it's just like
and I know your brother does as well, and your
father did for years, and it's just just the way
it is. And the cool thing about Miami Springs, it's
one of the last little private idahoses. I like to

(49:48):
say it's like a touch of Mayberry inside of Miami.
If I ever come into any money again, God willing.
If you're listening, that would be my first stop because
it's a great place where you can leave the door unlocked.
The people down to earth and they have common sense
and it's just a wonderful family style atmosphere. And once again, folks,
if you're advertising in that area for the rest of

(50:09):
this year, or you're going to be advertising in that
area in twenty twenty six, take advantage of the promotion.
You get a free membership in our organization that includes
us making you a radio commercial, giving you fifty percent
off ats a first event that you do with us,
with an option to get discounts on other stuff. So
go ahead, Brad, I want to give you an opportunity
to share anything else that's going on that you're doing.

(50:31):
And then obviously later today we'll be out at the
Miami Springs at All Community Center and Brady's team will
be there with us.

Speaker 14 (50:38):
Go ahead, sir, absolutely, spot on a rout and yeah,
the Miny Springs, Virginia Guard's area. We are that small
town field right across the street from the Mining and
International Airport. So if you get a chance to swing by,
you know, lots of parks and you could ride your
bike down the street and it's just a safe hideaway

(51:00):
around here. But there's so much going on, like this
weekend that the nightlight scene we got you know, whole
nineteen on Friday night it's the disco eighties, and we
got Woody's Backyard Grool on Wednesday is an open mic.

Speaker 7 (51:14):
There's always live music, so much going on around.

Speaker 14 (51:18):
Here, and you can follow it on the website Rivercitiescazette
dot net.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
And if you're hungry, folks, stop into Uncle Hank's Hideway.
That is the premier spot. Killer burgers, killer sliders. Everything
I've had there is phenomenal and I'm hoping later today
that they'll be out there at the show with us
where people will get an opportunity. If not after the show,
swing by Uncle Hank's Hideaway and tip back a cold
one and have a burger.

Speaker 3 (51:43):
You'll enjoy it. Brad.

Speaker 2 (51:45):
I want to thank you for your time this morning,
my friend. Were really looking forward to seeing you later today.
Kudos and hats off to you and your team once
again at the River City's Gazette through the first of January.
If you do business with them on a digital package,
you get a complementary standard level men membership through the
Greater South Florida Chamber of Commerce with a radio commercial
thirty second commercial, and you have an option to buy

(52:06):
one of our events at fifty percent off. Brad, I
thank you and I'll see you in a few hours.
My brother, thank you.

Speaker 14 (52:12):
Absolutely you too.

The Brothers Ortiz

The Brothers Ortiz

The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways. Gabe Ortiz becomes a third-highest ranking officer in all of Texas while his younger brother Larry climbs the ranks in Puro Tango Blast, a notorious Texas Prison gang. Gabe doesn’t know all the details of his brother’s nefarious dealings, and he’s made a point not to ask, to protect their relationship. But when Larry is murdered during a home invasion in a rented beach house, Gabe has no choice but to look into what happened that night. To solve Larry’s murder, Gabe, and the whole Ortiz family, must ask each other tough questions.
