Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Greater South Florida Chamber Radio program with
your host to board president John Kroll of Kroll Realty.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It is Saturday,
the eleventh of October twenty twenty five. I am Rob
the director of Operations with the Greater South Florida Chamber
of Commerce. This is one of our weekly radio programs
called the Best of South Florida Business News, and we're
privileged to be here in West Palm Beach, Florida at
iHeartRadio this morning when we're now streaming on the iHeart app.
Have with us longtime corporate trustee Ambassador's Care Access and

(00:39):
I'm with me is Joseph Small, who's the senior manager
of Community Engagement from care Access. Joe tell me about
care Access and how the FOM program came to be.
If you would please.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Thank you, Robin. It's a pleasure to be here, pleasure
to have you care Access. Care Access is a Boston
based health research company that operates globally. We do independent
research as well as sponsored research for major pharmaceutical companies.
An unlike traditional farma based research, which has been historically

(01:11):
the domain of affluent males of European descent whose doctors
had existing relationships with research hospitals. The opportunity to participate
is now open to everyone, regardless of gender, race, income,
or even geographic location. We have the ability to bring
the cutting edge research to you in suburban, rural, and

(01:34):
even in some indigenous communities, including our reservations here in
the United States.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
You know, Joe, it's near and dear to my heart
due to the fact I think I've shared with you, Offerer,
I lost my father, who was my best friend. Miss
him dearly. I think of him fifty times a day.
And he died in August of nineteen excuse me, August
of twenty twenty, at ninety seven years of age, and
he had succumbed to cancer, which you to overcome. But

(02:01):
in that final year of his life, last sixteen to
eighteen months, he was in full blown dementia, had full
blown Alzheimer's and it was really unfortunate. So I admire
what you and your people are doing. Kudos and hats
off to you and your team. You dot all your
eyes across all your te's and your professional organization from
top to bottom, and it's a pleasure to have you

(02:22):
out at all the different healthfaars and events that we do,
because it just adds credibility to the events, and it's
so important. It's so near and dear to the hearts
of so many of us who have been affected and
afflicted by that terrible disease Alzheimer's. Joe, tell me and
tell the listening audience about to test that are currently
offered and any requirements for the participants. Can you elaborate

(02:42):
on that this morning?

Speaker 3 (02:45):
I certainly can. And before I do, Rob, let me
just say that I too can relate to this work
that we do, which is very passionate and mission based.
I lost the brother to cancer a couple of years back.
He unfortunately didn't have an opportunity to participate in the
clinical trial that was taking place several states away from

(03:06):
his home. And that's just another example of why I
am so passionate about this work. So let me tell
you about the tests that we're doing under the Future
of Medicine program. These are tests for the heart health,
kidney health, lung health, and even brain health. For those
who are age is fifty five years of age and over,

(03:29):
you must be a minimum eighteen years old. No insurance
is required because This is a no cost free health
screenings again looking at heart, kidney, lung, and for those
age eligible brain health participants who do show up will
receive a stipend for their time and that's in the
form of a gift card and oftentimes is used to

(03:50):
cover the cost of transportation to get to where we're
having one of these future of medicine programs. We want
to make sure that were out a pathway for everyone
to participate in clinical research.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah, that's extremely important because of the fact that clinical
research and you know, the data that's been provided by
your company. I've had taken the liberty to go online
and review different things, and I've seen a lot of
the different literature, a very in depth approach for lack
of better grammar, and obviously what you and your organization
are doing to assist people because unbeknownst to me, I

(04:31):
mean obviously here in Florida, they jokingly they call it
God's waiting room because you know, we have the second
largest boomer population in the country behind my home state
of California. And the only reason it's larger out there
is because it's a more vast population than it is here.
But still there's an enormous amount of people that are
fifty five and over and sixty five and over down here,

(04:52):
and obviously, I mean I've seen different things now where
it can affect people that are under those ages. So
it's amazing and obviously what you and your team are
doing is so important. Can you touch on in a
nutshell in your professional and humble opinion, which we value,
Why is access doing this program?

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Care Access is doing this program because we see the
inequity that exists out there, especially around medical research. You
heard me share earlier that historically those who have benefited
from medical research have traditionally been affluent males of European descent,

(05:36):
who have the relationship with their doctors, who have the
relationship with research hospitals. Why should that have to be
in today's day in time, when in fact, we know
we can bring research right to your backyard literally using
modern technologies today. Some demographics, there are certain subgroups of

(05:56):
people who historically have not had an opportunity to benefit
from cutting age medicines, particularly those of South Asian and
African American populations where we have a very high disproportionate
rate of cardiovascular disease because of the lack of screening
and lack of access to cutting edge medicines. That's just

(06:18):
one example.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Yeah, and that's very important what you shared because you
know the history behind these things. Obviously you could talk
about that for you know, from now until the end
of time, for lack of a better grammar, but you know,
we won't go there. But obviously I know that there's
a number of different opinions on this and stuff, and
you know, for the listening audience out there, I want

(06:43):
people to understand if you come out to an event
that they're participating in, whether it's an event through US
or any of the other organizations, because they have a
really broad outreach program. One, it's a very professional setting.
There are trained phlebotomists there. It's really interesting. They have
a vehicle if people are more comfortable going out to
the vehicle, but there's a petitioned area. It's really really neat,

(07:05):
and I think it's really really cool, for lack of
better grammar, for you and your team to be able
to do this and bring the test to people because
so many people that was the excuse people would use,
or they would say, well, you know, I can't get
over to the facility because they do have brick and
mortar facilities, one in Tamarack and one in del Ray.

(07:25):
So for traditional people who want to go to their facilities,
you can do that. But the neat thing about it
is they're bringing the test to you, to your doorstep,
and I think to me that's one of the best
things about the entire process, not to mention that they're
simplifying it for people. Joe, why do you feel that
care Access decided to partner with the Greater South Florida

(07:47):
Chamber of Commerce.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Well, the Chamber is an established community based partner. You've
got a great presence there in South Florida, and we
partner with other community based organizations as well, fraternity sororities,
rotary clubs. We participate in health fairs, we participate in
faith based health organizations as well, and we are also
willing to come into senior living facilities, including those that

(08:13):
are fifty five plus communities as well. So this is
the kind of work that we do. We have so
far had over two hundred thousand individuals who have come
out to our free health screenings here in the United
States over the past eleven months. The enthusiasm is quite overwhelming.

(08:36):
One of the particular areas Rob that I want to
quickly touch on, in addition to screening for brain health.
Again for those who are aged fifty five and over,
particularly if you've had family history of Alzheimer's in dementia,
come out and get brain health screened in that respect.
But there's also another area what we call hereditary cholesterol

(09:00):
lipoprotein a LP little a that is a cholesterol that
is rarely screened for because most insurance companies don't cover that. However,
if you know what your LPA number is, it's a
real good indicator, even so more reliable than your HDL
and LDL cholesterol levels to determine as to how your

(09:22):
cardiovascular health is doing going forward. So for those who
know that they have family history of cardiovascular issues you're
not quite sure what your status might be, come out
for this health screening, particularly getting your LPA screened.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
You know that's important and I'm glad you touched on that.
And yeah, I want to take the liberty now, Joe
to announce to the listening audience here throughout South Florida
and throughout the state. Because as you mentioned, we are
a regional chamber. We do encompass the Track County area
that's Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. We also covered the
Treasure Coast. We go up in Indian River County all
the way up to the outskirts of Orlando and stuff

(10:00):
over in Tampa Saint Pete as well. And we do
have people from Jacksonville and Atlanta, Georgia and surrounding states

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Good morning, welcome back to the show. It is Saturday,
October eleventh, twenty twenty five. My how the year is flying, folks.
It has been wet out there. It has been dangerous,
So anybody that's out there this morning and later today
make sure you take your umbrellas and watch your speed
because seems to be a lot of traffic rerecs going
on this week here in the South Florida region. My
name is Rob I'm the director of Operations with the

(15:45):
Greater South Florida Chamber of Commerce. This is one of
our weekly radio programs called the Best of South Florida Business.
And with us is new corporate Trust. The ambassadors all
pure hto water and the gentleman's name is Danny Teams.
Danny real quick, give out your contact information? How people
get a hold of you? And I want to ask
right up the bat, when did you start this?

Speaker 5 (16:09):
Well, we started this about for a residential side. We've
started this about two years ago. So if they need
to get in contact, they're going to email. The best
way to get a hold of us is through email
or our website at cleanwaterfou dot com, the letter Ford
and the number four in the letter you.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Okay, Now, obviously there's a lot of noise out there
about so much chloride in the water and the fact
that there's a real need for purification on city water
as well, whether it be a residential or a commercial dwelling. Obviously,
I know you know that you're well versed in this.
How can someone get their water report on what is

(16:48):
in their water? Can you elaborate on that first and foremost?

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Absolutely, because most people don't even realize how much of
a concern there is in their water, whether it be
city or well water, and what is actually actually in there.
So the first thing is to identify the problem. Identify
the problem is to figure out what is in your water.
There is a on our website. You can go to
cleanwaterforu dot com and there is a it's directly linked

(17:15):
to a national database where every single municipality has to
report what is in each municipality's water from their water testing.
So if you go into that website, ask for your
water report, put your name, your email in your zip code,
and who you pay a water bill to. We will
gladly email a water report of what are the contaminants

(17:36):
that you're dealing with in your water? No fluoride has
been good, No go ahead, I'm sorry. So floride's a
big concern in several states. We are worldwide. So in
the state of Florida that's been eliminated from all of
the municipalities, but in other states that are still a
big concern. So depending on what system they're looking for

(17:58):
and what they want to remove, our system does happen
to remove all of these fluoride from the water as well.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Now, Dannie, what about that proverbial fallacy where people say, well,
if it's just drinking water, that we should be worried
about because if it is, shouldn't we just drink water
from the bottle?

Speaker 5 (18:16):
Absolutely, So that's most people's misconception. So it's not just
drinking water, it's also the water you're bathing in. So
and all municipalities are required to use chlorine. And what
the chlorine does is it kills the bacteria, kills everything
that's inside the water to make sure that's not dangerous
for you to consume. However, the chlorine is dangerous over
times because there are several cancer causing agents that are

(18:38):
produced by chlorine, and your skin is the largest organ
on the body, so it's going to absorb this chlorine
at a rapid rapid rate, as well as your gums
when you're brushing your teeth and when you're drinking. Not
only that, if you were to go to the plastic
water bottles, the water bottle as gonna have microplastis in
their pfos. P fos, the forever chemicals that everybody's hearing about,

(19:00):
those are still in most bottled drinking water. So you
don't want to have to deal with those issues as well.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
Well.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Obviously you and I both would agree that there is
a need for purification on city water buy and large.
And then what about the people that are going to say, well,
what if I'm on a well and in your professional opinion,
because you know this, this is what you do, why
do cities put so much chlorine in our water?

Speaker 5 (19:26):
Well, like I said, and again, the chlorine is unnecessary
evil unfortunately, because they do need to kill the bacteria
and kill all the stuff that's in the water. That's
the most effective, cheapest way to do that and get
it to the house. You don't want to die of
something immediately, Unfortunately, you're going to die over time by
using the chlorine in it. So there are a lot

(19:47):
of water filters and a lot of systems out there
that will take some chlorine out and take some other
things that are at it as well. The old proverb,
like you said, is basically you get what you pay for.
So depending on how much and how what the quality
of the product is that you want out of your water.
When you're shopping for a purification system or a fil
tracing system, you want to look at what are the

(20:09):
long term costs, what are the maintenance costs, what are
all these different things. So the quorine is the biggest
thing in city water, but well watered you're going to
have other containments such as nitrates. If you're in a
farming area, which most of the times are outside of
an area where it's going to be farming, lots of
things that have gone down into the aquifer that you're

(20:32):
going to try to remove from there. We're going to
have hydro and sulfate, which is that sulfur smell a
lot of iron many times that we're trying to get
out of there. So those systems we make as well,
but there's different contaminants we're trying to remove from wells
other than cities.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
You know, for a number of years, we've always heard
people talk about the proverbial energy shortage. What happens if
we run out of oil and gas? Well, obviously I
know you know this because you're well versed in this.
There's a potential for water shortage, and it's not just
in our country. It could be a global thing. But
more importantly, why would someone want to use your system

(21:08):
over an rosystem? I know you have good answers, so
that can you touch on that this morning?

Speaker 5 (21:13):
Absolutely so. When people are looking at systems, the URO system,
which is a reverse osmosis system, has been known widely
as the one that takes out all of the contaminants,
which is a very true statement. It does take out
all of the contaminants. However, it takes out all of
the good stuff as well, such as the calcium magnesium
in the good minerals that we need. So if you
were to have a reverse osmosis, you're going to also

(21:35):
need to have a mineral re enhancer after it's gone
through the reverse osmosis system. On top of that reverse osmosis,
you're going to waste there's a lot of wastewater. Most
systems waste about six gallons of water. To make one
good gallon of water. You have reduced amount of water
pressure and amount of water that you can use. Very

(21:56):
expensive upfront, requires electricity, and you have to change the
membrane month to six months depending on the system in
how many containments you're trying to remove out of the
water as well. So with our system you're not having
to do that. There is no maintenance for five years,
nothing to do to the system. There's no upfront, no
extended costs other than the upfront cost of bindment system

(22:17):
in the beginning.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
I like that. That's very important. I'm glad you elaborated
on that. What about electricity, Does it require electricity?

Speaker 5 (22:25):
Nanny, No, No, there's no electricity, no waste water, and
no maintenance. Those are the three big components that kind
of separates this from most all other systems, as well
as having a biological filtration system in there that takes
out biological bacteria of viruses, which very few systems in
the world can do that. Most everyone that can do

(22:47):
that would be a reverse osmosis system. But like we
poured out earlier, there are some bad things that we
have to deal with, not early bad things, but things
that we have to deal with with a reverse osmosis
that you don't want to have to deal with if
you don't have to.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Well, I know two good things that you don't have
to deal with because last time I checked, they both
require a payment. One would be electricity and the other
one would be maintenance. So because I don't think either
one of those are free unless I missed the bus
on that one, which I don't think I did. So
that's a key aspect of what you're doing right there.
Sounds to me like you're bringing people's overheads down with
that alone. Touch a little bit on the warranty, can

(23:22):
you do that?

Speaker 5 (23:24):
Absolutely? So basically what we do is we do a
five year plus five year warranty, So it's a five
year warranty. You don't have to do anything when you
purchase the system, so after five years you can do
no maintenance, nothing to do with it. After the five years,
you can either have us come out and do a
flush and regeneration of the system for two hundred and fifty dollars,
or we can ship you the kit to do it yourself.

(23:45):
After you do that we extend a warranty for an
additional five years. Like you said minutes ago, there is
no maintenance and there's no cost on that with electricity.
And when you look at systems like that, most people
don't understand that you can ever drink water from your
house from your fasces, because it's just not done anymore.
But once you have the system on your house, you
no longer have to buy bottle of water. You're gonna

(24:07):
drink water from every fauce in your house. You're not
gonna have contaminants all inside of it, and it's not
an extra cost. You're just differring costs from one fun
to another. So instead of buying bottle of water for
ad tow one hundred and twentyars a month, this would
save you that much and you're gonna put it over
into this side to where not only are you drinking
good water, but you're bathing in it. Because people don't

(24:27):
realize how much chlorine they're soaking in and how much
they're bathing in, and their children are bathing in and
their pets, so even their pets are drinking this water
that's not good for anybody inside their family. Once you
realize all of the containments are under water, and realize
how important this is and how much healthier it's gonna
make you over time. We've got some other customers that
are they've had this, that are very very health conscious

(24:51):
and use organic vegetables. But then I ask them, well,
what do you do with those organic vegetables? Do you
wash them when you get home? Of course they do,
but they wash them in the contaminated water, so now
contaminated their organic vegetables. I like that.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
I'm glad that you elaborated on all that because I
know that there's a lot of people out there that
probably not are not aware of this. Quickly, what areas
do you coverageographically? Is it nationwide regional? Can you touch
on that.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
Nationwide?

Speaker 6 (25:17):
On?

Speaker 5 (25:18):
Everything's built in Seratota, Florida from the North America side.
We do cover Europe as well. We are partners with
Washwater and they are manufactured in Germany, so the products
that we have. We also have a conditioner that is
available that's salt free that will reduce the hardness effects

(25:40):
of water, so you won't have that calcium build up
around your faucets, around your or your shower heads. You
won't have spots on your glass, you won't have spots
on your car when you're washing it. And it's maintenance
free as well, so there's no salt, no maintenance. When
you add that fourth tank. There is a three tank
system with the fourth tank gives you that conditioner. Not
everybody needs it because some people don't have hard water,

(26:01):
but unfortunately in Florida, in most places, there are lots
of hard water problems. And if you add that fourth tank,
there's no maintenance on that as well, so that's something
that most people opt for.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Now, Danny, does this purify the entire house?

Speaker 5 (26:16):
Yes, so we do have the entire house the system.
We have added a under the sink system for some
people that maybe live in an apartment or a condo
or someone where they don't they can't filter out the
entire house, but we do have a whole house system.
We do have a under the sink system, and we
can custom build systems as well. Because we have a

(26:36):
customer down in Miami that had an eighteen bathroom house
and obviously that's not going to work on a standard system,
so we can customize that or any commercial size as well.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
I can imagine this should be real attractive though for
people who are in real estate investment, where's people that
own the short term rentals there airbnbs, They're looking to
do anything they can do to keep their costs down
on their overheads, so this would be key for them.
And also can you touch on where this installed, Danny, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
So this is going to go into right where the
water enters the house, so for the whole house system,
so it's going to come in right past the main
shut off voul for the house. They can go either
in the outside of the house or inside the garage
or wherever that shut off valve is, so that we
can treat every bit of water that's coming through your
entire house. And like I said, if you have the
conditioner on there, it the scales the inside the pipes,

(27:25):
so your hot water heater, your dishwasher or all that
kind of stuff, you're not going to have that stuff.
It's going to extend the life of all your appliances
on top of that, So, like you mentioned a minute ago,
for any infestors or anybody that has homes that they
don't want to repair stuff all the time, this saves
a ton and try to sprub that calcium off your
glass in your shower or anywhere else. It's a nightmare.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
It is a nightmare. It really is, you know. And
the other thing I think that impresses me most about
your company, Danny, is the credibility that you offer and provide.
I mean, you have a number of outstanding testimonials, and
I want you to touch on the listing audience this morning.
I want them to hear what you do as far
as credibility issues. Obviously, you have a very stern policy

(28:08):
which I think is impaccable. You don't want to referral
from anybody, or you don't want someone to give you
a good review unless they've tried your product correct.

Speaker 5 (28:19):
Absolutely so we want them to try it, use it,
like it, and make sure it matches up to what
they expected when they purchased it, just like anybody would
want sure. Now, as long as everybody's happy, they're going
to give you a five star review and make sure
they're happy. That's We don't want a review unless it's
a five star, and listen, if it's not a five star,
we want you to call us and tell you us
why is it not. We want to make sure it's
correct and make sure it's right. We have been able

(28:42):
to get some very good customers and clients and endorsements
from a lot of celebrities. We actually never intended to
release this to the public because we do a lot
of commercial clients and we've done that for years. Watchwater's
Fin's Biness for forty five years and when it will
leaders in the industry for all water filtration media. When

(29:04):
we went into this, we were doing cold plunges and
doing a lot of commercial stuff or hotels and stuff
like that. When we found this system, we had some
of our celebrities that said, hey, can you put this
on our house? Absolutely we can. We still had no
intention of going retail. After a certain amount of time
of referral from them and them and their friends, we
finally said, okay, we're going to release us to the public,

(29:25):
and that's when it just kind of started blowing up.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Well, you know, I'm really excited about the fact that
on October twenty fifth and sixth, from ten am till
eight pm, you're going to be a team will be

(29:50):

forward to working with you and your team. Before we
sign off this morning, go ahead and give everyone the
contact information one more time, the best way to get
hold and I want to thank you for your time
this morning. Danny.

Speaker 5 (30:04):

being down there and talking to everybody and understanding and
looking forward to solve some of their water problems. Again,

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Good morning, Welcome back to the show. It is Saturday,
October eleventh, twenty twenty five. We're privileged to be here
at iHeartRadio in West Palm Beach, Florida, where we're now
streaming on the iHeart app. Have with us this morning.
Longtime corporate trustee Ambassador Florida State Oriental Medical Association, and
the representative is dear friend of mine and of one
of our corporate trust the Ambassadors, doctor Cynthia Ann Hayeshurst.

(31:37):
She is the owner of Serendipity Massage and Bodywork located
off of Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce, just a couple
of blocks east of the Haberdel Fence Center where we
were supposed to be this week but we got rained out.
But we're going to be there on November thirteenth with

(31:57):
her organization as well as her company and a number
of other people that will be involved. And the thing
I like most about your organization is a statewide organization.
I want you to elaborate on that for anybody who
may be a first time listener and may not have
heard you talk in the past about the number of
practitioners that are involved with Florida State Oriental Medical Association

(32:19):
and some of the key work that's been done by
your organization. I know that you've been to Washington, d c.
Promoting different legislative things to assist people with proper health
care and different things that they need to make sure
that they're living long and prosperous, healthy lives. So what
I want to do is get out of the way
this morning and give you an opportunity to introduce yourself.

(32:41):
And it's great to have you back on the air
with us.

Speaker 6 (32:45):
Thank you, Rob. My name is doctor Cynthia Ane Hayeshurst.
I am the Advocacy Chair for the State of Florida's
Oriental Medical Association. We are natural health care providers all over.
Our practitioners have training in Eastern medicine. It's a four

(33:06):
year degree as a master's level. A doctorate level, there's
two more years of training. There is four national boards
that we have to pass in order to practice medicine,
one of which is a Western Medicine Biomedical board, and
then we have one for our therapeutic our theory of
Eastern medicine healthcare system, and then the actual points that
we use and the modalities that we use. And our

(33:29):
medicine also includes natural herbs, so we have to take
a board for our Basically this is our pharmacy, so
we have to take a board for our pharmacy, which
is an herbal board. We are getting ready to have
our US Acupuncture in Herbal Medicine Day, which is going

(33:51):
to be October twenty fourth, and you have a lot
of local practitioners. There's over thirty five one hundred people
who practice acupuncture and Oriental medicine in Florida, and you
have an opportunity to maybe check it out this during
you know, the month of October, there'll be a lot

(34:12):
of extra specials that different clinics might run to try
to get people to have an opportunity to experience acupuncture
for the first time. Perhaps it will give you a
great idea of some of the things that we offer.
We offer lifestyle medicine, we offer physical movement. We offer
tween aw which is our massage and manipulation practices. We

(34:36):
offer needle work. That's what everybody knows the acupuncture needles themselves,
but it's actually a whole healthcare practice involves a lot
of other modalities. It is good for everybody knows, Oh, pain, pain,
I got pain. It's great for pain, yes it is,
but it's also good for mental health. It's good for stress,
it's good for digestive order, you know, problems, it's it's
good for allergies. It's good for supporting your immune system,

(34:58):
especially when we're going into you know, the winter time
months where people tend to pass around cold and flues.
So it's a great opportunity to hopefully get to meet
somebody in your community that might offer these services and
get a chance to kind of quickly find out a
little bit about it. Our next event will be Well

(35:19):
with You, will be in November, but I'm actually going
to do an event in Okalla at the World Equestrian
Center on the eighteenth of this month between ten and
three also, so there's another opportunity to meet with somebody
from our association and to find practitioners locally. You can
go to FOFOLMA dot org and you can put in

(35:40):
your zip code and find a provider near you anywhere
in the state of Florida.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Okay, I want to go out on record. I wanted
to do this because you've been so good to us
and we're really we're getting closer. It's it's been harder
to break into a new market. We've done pretty well
in Stewart and Portune Lucy and now we're starting to
see some real good tracks action in Fort Payers more
excited about that. But your organization, being statewide, then want
you to elaborate on that for the listening audience. We

(36:08):
want to extend some space for your team, regardless of
what area of the state they come from. But on
October twenty fifth and sixth, and then again on December
sixth and seventh, twenty fifth and sixth, we're doing our
annual Fall home Show and business expo. In December sixth
and seventh, it's the Holiday Home show. Both are being
conducted inside of Saftgrass Mills Mall. You're looking at ten

(36:31):
to twelve in December, there'll be fifteen thousand people per
day coming through. We want to have a couple of
tables there for you and your team, So I want
you to be able to put that out on the
wire for your organization, and I'll get an email out
to you at the beginning of the week so you
can pass that along. We'd love to have some of
your people there because we'll be doing live radio from
there as well, so we'd love that. Oh, but we

(36:52):
believe in what you're doing. And for anybody who may
be a first time listener or may not be familiar
with your organization other than by name, can you elaborate
on the number of people that are practitioners in the
state of Florida that are involved with your organization please.

Speaker 6 (37:09):
Total practitioners in the state is around three thousand people.
I'm not one hundred percent certain how many are in
the actual association. There are two associations. There's a Chinese
association and then there's an English speaking association. So both
associations have a little bit of a different focus. They

(37:32):
all do Oriental Medicine, but I'm only involved with the
Florida State Oriental Medical Associations. I can't speak for every
acupunctures in the state of Florida as to what services
they try to provide it for advocacy and community outreach.
We will have both associations in Tallahassee in February to

(37:58):
share what we do at the Capitol, and that's going
to be February ninth, twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
Well, I think one of the coolest things, one of
the neatest things about your organization is the capacity of outreach.
So in other words, the outreach programs that you have
are enormous. I mean, it's just you have such a
large group and you have there's so many moving parts,
Like we've interviewed people from Venice, We've interviewed people from Sarasota.

(38:29):
We've been interviewed people from Fort Pierce, from Miami, from Broward,
Palm Beach, Indian River. I mean, it's amazing how large
the organization is. And you know, the initiatives that you're
pushing in the outreach programs that you have moving those
moving parts are all productive, positive things for people to

(38:51):
improve their health and their way of life, because you know,
you only get one life, doctor, and you know, all
it takes is a couple of bad things to happen.
I shared with you, I went through it last year,
first time of my life. Just took the wind right
out of me. And thank goodness when I did have
my surgeries laproscopically and I did have my tumors removed,
I wasn't lethal knock on wood And because it happens

(39:12):
so quick and it can blindside and a lot of
it is preventative stuff. And the thing that I like
too is a holistic approach, the natural approach that's taken
by so many of the people within your organization. You know,
health and safety is paramount. Safety and health paramount first.
So to me that that goes a long way rather

(39:33):
than people that are you know, overload non pain pills
or you know, doing multiple surgeries and ended up on
you know, disability and stuff like that. Not that they
don't deserve that that they do, but you know, I mean,
by the same token, if you can avoid those things,
obviously you want to be able to do that. What
do you think one of the biggest key misconceptions that

(39:53):
you see in day to day stuff within your industry,
within your practice that people could overcome if they were
to do not do what, Because there are a couple
of things you could touch on.

Speaker 6 (40:09):
Well, the number one thing that does everybody in what
we don't even think about because we're so busy going
about daily our daily life with all the things we
must do, that a lot of times the things that
we should do for our daily health gets put to
the side. So I would say most people will say,
I'm just truth stressed. I've got too many things going on.
There's no way in the world I could fit, you know,

(40:32):
doing something for exercise or something to calm myself. Or
we don't even stop to take a proper breath most
of the time. So simple little things that you could
work into your day would be like some of the
best things, you know, taking a second just to focus
on taking a deep breath in, holding it for a
few seconds, letting it out slowly. There's a whole bunch

(40:56):
of ways to reset your nervous system. I have I
have I tell people if you could just look over
your shoulder as far as you can to one direction,
like like you're looking to the back of the corner
of a room, and then turn to the other side
and look over your shoulder the same thing to the
back of the room, and notice how far you go

(41:17):
each time, and then do it a second time. And
when you do it the second time, turn your head
all the way to as far as you can and
then hold it until you take like a deep breath
or swallow. That's the trick is actually resetting your vague nerve,
so it's calming that fight or flight system, and then
you have an opportunity to get back in control. So

(41:40):
that is a quick, easy thing you can do for yourself.
Lots of people will say, I run from the second
I wake up to the second I fall into bed,
and that's not healthy for us. A lot of us
we do that because we think we have to do that,
but in reality, our health is the number one thing,
and being able to maintain that so that we can

(42:00):
support the people around us is truly what we're trying
to achieve. But a lot of times we don't take
care of ourselves because we're so busy with us what
we think is a higher goal. But if you're not,
if you're not in good health, you can't help anybody else's.

Speaker 5 (42:17):
To maintain and I think I was.

Speaker 2 (42:20):
I was listening to something the other day at an
event where there was a nutritional counsel or was it
one of the events that we did. I heard her
talking to an elderly woman and she was talking about
how she wasn't drinking enough water and she wasn't eating healthy.
And I thought to myself, you know, you want to
try to eat as healthy as you can. It's tough
for a lot of us, but you can eat healthy

(42:42):
and proper amount of water. And obviously there's so many
things out there that you know, are triggers for people
binge eating, eating fast foods, not eating the proper foods,
not taking proper supplements, you know. And I know that
that's one of the things when I've looked at some
of the different things that have been done, some of

(43:03):
the books that have been written by people within your organization.
I've heard number of interviews, interviewed number of people, and
it's kind of what you just touched on about taking
time to make sure you're doing the next right thing,
rather than you know, as they say, running and gunning
and always on the move and not slowing down so
much as to take a breathrough right, that can be

(43:24):
very dangerous for people, that is for certain.

Speaker 6 (43:27):
So anything all right, the food, therapy, food therapy, exercise,
you know, all these things are important to daily grind.
We've used to think that everything that happened to us
was because we were predisposed. Everybody in our family always
had this problem, and we're going to have that problem.
The interesting thing that we've discovered through science is that
actually ninety percent of those things we can be avoided
because a lot of them were related to lifestyle, and

(43:50):
lifestyle has a much bigger role in how we do
over time than our genetics does.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
Absolutely, So anything else going on, whyn't you touch on
that event? You got going on again in Okawa and
then once again on the thirteenth of November from ten
am until two pm. She will be with us at
the haberdel Fen Center at two thousand Virginia Avenue and
Fort Pierce. We're really looking forward to that event, and folks,

(44:17):
it's been doctor Cynthianne Hayeshurst from the Florida State orient
Medical Association. She's also the proprietor of Serendipity Body Massage Work.
Go ahead, doctor.

Speaker 6 (44:30):
Massage and body work.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
That's okay, thank you for correcting me.

Speaker 6 (44:35):
The World of Questrian Center Health and Wellness Expo is
is going to be in Okalla and it is October eighteenth,
and it will be from ten till three and I
will be there representing the Florida State orient Medical Association.
If you have questions, you can reach us at eight
hundred and five seven eight four eight sixty five. And

(44:58):
I look forward to meeting everybody.

Speaker 2 (45:00):
Why don't you give out the number for your business
as well, if in case anybody in the area wants
to come by and see you as well, if you
would please.

Speaker 6 (45:07):
My number seven seven to two five two one six
three eight.

Speaker 2 (45:11):
Once again, I want to thank you doctor for your time.
You have a wonderful weekend. Everybody out there, be safe,
drive slow, and bring your umbrellas out because it's going
to be wet this weekend. Thank you doctor. Thank you,
Bye bye, good morning, Welcome back to the show. It
is Saturday, October eleventh, twenty twenty five. I am Robb,

(45:33):
the director of Operations with the Greater South Florida Chamber
of Commerce. This is one of our weekly radio programs
called the Best of South Florida Business Have with us.
One of our corporate Trustee Ambassadors Next Dental have with
me Carl Smith. He and his family have a number
of dental practices here in South Florida, but one of
their specialties is working with seniors and working with people

(45:54):
who need severe dental surgeries. What I'd like to do
is get out of the Waycral, give you an opportunity
to introduce yourself, and I want to talk a little
bit about the grand opening he just did at the
facility there on State Road seven right off OFT four
forty one and Sunrise Boulevard. Beautiful facility, state of the art,
and I know there's a number of things that you
do that other organizations don't. But what I'd like for

(46:16):
you to do is introduce yourself. Talk a little bit
about the family background and where your practices are located,
and the different services that you offer and any promotions
that you're running.

Speaker 8 (46:26):
Oh absolutely, thanks so much, Rob, appreciate you. My name
is Barrels Smith and I'm the VP of Marketing and
Development with Nixtental and Nick Dental's a family owned practice.
We've been operating now for over forty five plus years.
It started off with my father as the original dentist
and maybe about ten years ago, went into retirement, and

(46:48):
at the same time, my brother had been going through
dental school, just my fault, figuring out what he was
going to do with his patience that he had and
how he was going to continue his legacy. My brother
kind of took on that mantle, so Doctor Edwin Smith
became the new name and face of the brand, and
together we're able to just partner up together to really
serve the community. Started off with one dental practice serving

(47:10):
about two thousand patients in the North Miami Beach area,
and since then we've actually grown from one location three
operatory rooms to now having three office locations. Our second
office that we ended up opening ended up replacing the
original one. We ended up to like ten ouperatory rooms still.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
In North Miami Beach, but it gave.

Speaker 8 (47:29):
Us a capacity to serve at a higher level, and
together my brother and I within a three four year
window of time, have been able to serve eight thousand
customers within the community. Fast forward a few years now,
Like I mentioned, you know, we went from one major
office in the North Miami Beach area, so now.

Speaker 3 (47:46):
We have two in Miami.

Speaker 8 (47:47):
We have one that we just launched in Fort Lauderdale,
and for us, it's all about our passion for really
just serving the community at the highest level. We know,
a lot of people are dealing with pain, a lot
of people are dealing with discomfort, They're dissatisfied with the
way that their teeth feel, the way that their teeth look,
and more importantly, they're dealing with a lot of health

(48:08):
issues that are actually triggled, triggered because of poor oral
health and poor oral hygiene, you know. And by getting
the patient education out to the people that we work with,
we've been able to really just help them, you know,
get out of pain, you know, get a smile that
they can really get excited about, get greater health experience,
you know, experience greater health for themselves, and really just

(48:31):
feel great and confident about the smile that they have. So,
you know, we're really excited about that. And you know,
we have a lot of free gifts going on, and
we have free promotional pricing for people that are in
a place where they know that they need to come
back in for a checkup. And so for anyone that
is curious about that, let me go ahead and just
give you a contact number for us so that you
can reach us without any issues. You can get in

(48:54):
contact with us at nine to five four six three
six six three four two. Again that's nine five four
six three six six three four to two. And our
whole passion is just to help get you back to
a brighter smile.

Speaker 2 (49:08):
You know, Carl, that's awesome. And I love the history
with the family. I think that's neat that it's going
from generation to generation. That's always a cool thing. But
one of the things that impressed me the most, and
obviously when you think of going to the dentists two
types of people like me. I have to have some
stuff done. I'm planning done through your facility here and
the near future. I'm the guy that has his fingers

(49:29):
clenched into the chair because I don't enjoy going to
the dentist. Although I must say that your brother's bedside
manner is extremely excellent and he did have a calming
of feeling about him that brought me to not be
us uptight. Because some people just get uptight when they
go to the dentist. I'm one of them. But long
story short, the fact that a lot of times you
have to go back and forth, you have to go

(49:50):
multiple times have certain things done. You have a unique
situation and not very many facilities offer that, but you
have state of the art equipment that's all brand new.
But you also have an in house dental lab which
can expedite the process for people.

Speaker 5 (50:03):
Correct.

Speaker 8 (50:03):
Yeah, that's actually correct. So I'm glod that you're able
to point that out. So our facilities are actually equipped
with the latest technology. We have in house dental labs
that allow us to provide same day services, so things
like dentures, crowns, bridges, endplants. So when people come in
and typically they would go to a dental office any
other dental office, they would see, you know, I'm experiencing pain,

(50:26):
and then the dentists would have to see what's coming
from and then they put you on a treatment plan,
and you know, and they'd have to do some measurements
and some molds and send out the work to a
lab and then have you come back in three, five
days or a week. And so you come back for
a second appointment, and then they come back and if
your dentists don't fit perfectly benefit that, they'd have to

(50:46):
send it back out. Then you'd have to come back
to the office again, you know, on another week, and
so you're making two, three, four visits just to basically
get one set of dentures right, or implants or crowns
or do your bridges. And so with us, because we
have our in health dental lab one, it saves us
a lot of time. You don't have to come back
for multiple visits if you schedule us on the right day,

(51:06):
If we schedule you on the right day, we can
have you do everything the same day. You walk in
with pain, you walk out with brand new dentures, brand
new teeth, and you're good to go. And then the
other thing is, you know, because we have our in
house labs, it actually makes things a lot more cost
effective for us right as a business, as a company,
and our whole mission is to help serve the community.
So we take that savings and we pass it right

(51:27):
along to our customer. We're actually, you know, the forty
percent cheaper than the majority of our competitors that are
out there charging you know, much higher prices for the
same exact work, and we have the ability to get
it done at a much faster rate. So we are
excited about that. When we realize that patients really had
that bad experience, we knew that we had to do

(51:49):
something about it, and so, yeah, I'm glad.

Speaker 3 (51:50):
You brought that up.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
Yeah, and I was really at ease because, obviously, not
to be redundant, I'm just one of those people. I
just don't enjoy going to the dentist. I can't explain it,
probably because I have some dental issues that I'm dealing with,
as I have had through a number of years throughout
my life, I've had to deal with things in that arena,
but usually I don't have a calming feeling when I
go in. But from top to bottom, from the minute

(52:13):
you walked in the door, to your reception staff, to
your dental hygienis, to the assistance to your brother, to
the other people I met, everybody. And the thing about
the facility too, is talk about state of the art.
Everyone's brand new machinery that I've never seen before. It's amazing.
It was really really a cool experience. So anybody out
there in the listening audience, if you've got something going

(52:34):
on that you need to get done, and you think
that you're not really wanting to do it, but you're
thinking that you want to go ahead and say, well,
I think I'm going to do it. What I would
suggest you do is reach out to Carl and his team.
They can help you, for sure, There's no two ways
about it. I'm hearing that music in the background car,
which means we're probably coming to the close of this segment,
but we'll be doing a number of segments with you

(52:55):
in the future. Why don't you give everyone your contact
information again to let them know how they get a
hold of you and your team, and mentioned any promotions
that you've got going on. Go ahead, Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 8 (53:05):
So again, my name is Carl Smith, VP of Marketing
with Next Dental. You can get in contact with us
at any of our locations at nine five four six
three six six three four to two again that's nine
five four six three six six three four to two,
or you can visit us at Nextdentalcare dot com. Okay,
feel free to give us a call. We'll tell you
about all our specials.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
Thank you, guys so much, Thank you for being with us. Carl,
have a wonderful weekend.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
God bless.

Speaker 8 (53:31):
God blessed.

Speaker 5 (53:31):
Take care.

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
