Speaker 1 (00:07):
Lord, I'm thinking this morning about people who have decisions
to make that are very important and how impactful sometimes
a simple decision can be. Lord, there are some decisions
we make in a moment in time that change our
lives forever. We're never the same after those decisions. And Lord,

(00:33):
I'm thinking about people that are listening right now, who
are about to make a decision in a moment in time,
and they know that this decision they are about to
make is wrong, and if they make it, it'll burn
their life down. It'll affect them in a really bad way.

(00:55):
But the poll of the flesh and the poll of
the world is so strong it's hard to resist sometimes
the temptation to make those small decisions to gratify the flesh,
but the destructive power of that small decision affects thousands

(01:16):
of people around us. Help us to stand, Help us
to make right choices when we're under pressure, to do
the things that are right, not the things that are wrong. Lord,
you are the Lord of time, and I know that
you can work all things forgether for good to those

(01:39):
that love God and are called according to his purpose.
But Lord, help me to make the right choices when
I have a moment, and I know that the next
choice is going to be very impactful. In the name
of Jesus, y Amen, Welcome to Healing Begins. My name

(02:04):
is Pastor Gail Krock. If you don't know who I am,
I'm the executive director of Spiritual Care Consultants of West Michigan,
and the Healing Begins program is all centered around you,
the one that is listening right now. Oh. I know
there's more than one listening, but right now, as I
look into my microphone, I'm just looking at the one

(02:26):
who is listening. Maybe driving your car, maybe sitting in
your house, maybe maybe just thinking, Wow, I can't believe
I found this program on the radio. Maybe you were
just scanning the dialing. By chance, here we are. No,
it's not by chance. I heard the old story about

(02:46):
a guy was driving down the road and he saw
a car being towed by a wrecker and the bumper
sticker said, we met by accident. And this is no accident.
If you're listening tonight, that all of a sudden, here
I am speaking about a moment in time. That's our
subject title. A moment in time can change your life forever.

(03:12):
The Bible says when the kings went off to war,
David stayed home, and he stayed home, and he wasn't
supposed to be home. He was supposed to be out
with the other kings. And this story can be found
in Second Samuel, chapter eleven, verses two to four, and

(03:33):
the Bible says he was up on his rooftop and
he looked, and there was a moment in time, and
when he looked out, he saw Bathsheba bathing, and he
was greatly tempted, and he went down and he committed
adultery with her, and she got pregnant from that moment
in time, and then he decided to try to cover

(03:57):
it up. Uriah came home and he wouldn't with his wife.
He stayed out on the front porch because he wanted
to be with the kings that were off the war.
And David set it up where Uriah would go out
into the thick of the battle and the troops would
withdraw from him and he would get killed. And David thought, well,

(04:19):
you know, I think I survived that moment in time.
He went out and he married Bashia. But you see,
God saw that moment, and that moment was about to
change his life and his kingdom forever. And God sent
Nathan the Prophet who told him a story, and David
got really mad in the story, and that Nathan the

(04:41):
Prophet looked at him and said, you're the man. And
it was uncovered what David had done, and he falled
on his face, and he repented before God of everything
he had done. But that moment in time, his kingdom
would be more secure if he wouldn't have done that,
if he wouldn't have yielded to the flesh in that

(05:03):
moment in time, he wouldn't have experienced the devastation that
went on in his life. Another king in the Bible
that we have several examples of. If you read the
Bible you'll find it. It's King Saul. He had several
moments in his life, little moments where he disobeyed God

(05:27):
and took things into his own hands. And the end
result of the acts of disobedience was his kingdom was
taken from him, torn from him, and he was tormented
at the end of his life by an evil spirit.

(05:48):
Another man in the Bible that had a moment in
time that really changed his life was Jonah. God told
him to go to Ninevah and he went into the
opposite direction. And when he was going into the opposite direction,
he got hit by a powerful storm and they threw
him overboard, and he got swallowed by a big fish,

(06:08):
and the fish took him and puked him up on
the shore of Nineveh. See he was running. That moment
in time changed everything. Another person in the Bible that
had a moment in time was Annius and Sapharrah. They
had promised to sell their land and give it all
to the Church, and they stood before Peter and lied

(06:31):
to his face in a moment in time, and then
they fell dead to the floor. So a moment in
time could just change you forever. Judas, look what he
did in the Bible. He betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces
of silver. You see, there was a point where Judas
was yielding to the enemy, and the Bible says that

(06:53):
Satan entered him. Peter had a moment in time when
he was faced in the garden. Are you one of
the disciples? He said, no, no, I'm not, and he
denied the Lord three times, and he went out and
literally then I have a couple of positive examples of
people who had a moment in time and did the

(07:17):
right thing, Daniel in the lions. Then he was told
he couldn't pray to his God. He had to only
pray to the king for a certain amount of times,
and he wouldn't do it. And he knelt by his
bed and he prayed, and he got thrown alive into
an alliance. But God sent an angel and closed the
lion's mouth. Then you have the three Hebrew boys shot

(07:41):
rag Mee Shack and the Bendigol founding Daniel three verses
seventeen through eighteen. And this is where they had a
choice bow down and worship a statue made of gold
that the king had erected, or be thrown alive into
a lake of fire, into a furnace heated seven times hotter.

(08:04):
And they chose in that moment of time to stand
for what was right. And they were thrown into the
fiery furnace. In fact, the fire was so hot that
the soldiers that threw them and died. And the king
looked into the furnace and said, hey, did we not
throw three men into the fire. But I see a

(08:26):
fourth man who looks like the son of God. And
he called Daniel Shadragmishak, and a bed and go out
of the furnace, and the only thing that had burnt
off them were the ropes that had them bound. And
they stood strong in the face of the king, in
the face of his anger, in the face of fear,

(08:48):
in the face of wrath, in the face of imminent death.
They stood strong. And the result was nation wide revival
through them standing. The Bible says that you and I
are are books that are read by all men. When
God looks at her, when people look at our life,

(09:10):
they read our God's story. And if you're just joining us,
this is Healing Begins Radio. My name is Pastor Gail Krack,
and I'm really glad we're talking about how choices we
make in a moment in time can change our lives forever.
You know, when it comes to facing very important moments

(09:35):
that could really devastate you if you make the wrong decision.
Remember Galatians two twenty. I have been crucified with Christ.
It is no longer I that live, but Christ that
lives in me. And the life I now live, I
live by faith in the Son of God. Lord, I

(09:57):
crucify my flesh. I say no, I'm not going to
make the wrong decision. I know what was right, I
know what I need to make, and I'm not gonna
make the wrong decision. And by the grace of God,
I will stand in the face of temptation. You know,
A says in two Corinthians ten thirteen. No temptation has

(10:18):
taken you, but such as this common demand. But God
is faithful, who will not allow you to suffer above
that which you are able, but also will with the temptation,
provide a way to escape that you might be able
to bear it. So God always provides a way to escape.
I want to talk about the power of grace for
a moment. There might be several of you listening to

(10:43):
me that says, Pastor, I burnt my own life down,
I have made wrong decisions. You can't believe what I've
gone through. But you know what, there is good news
on the other side of making mad decisions. The good
news is number one, you can be forgiven. The other
good news is you can be restored and healed. And

(11:06):
so the Bible says in Romans five point twenty, were
sinded about grace abounded more. God's heart desire is to
restore us. God restored David after his bad decisions. God
restored Peter to the place of ministry, and if we
will turn to him Romans eight twenty eight will become

(11:30):
true in our life. All things work together for good
to those that love the Lord and are called according
to His purpose, for those he fore knew he did
predestined to be conformed into the image of his son.
You know the thing wild about God, And this is
just what I find when God calls you and I

(11:51):
to go out and be his examples, to serve him
and to walk with him. He knows the end from
the beginning, he knows the mistakes will make and yet
he still called you, and he still called me. I've
told God several times when he called me to be
in the ministry that he'd actually called the wrong number,

(12:12):
that I was not the guy he wanted. But it
can never get away from the Lord constantly calling me
to serve him. And so let your focus be the scriptures. Remember,
small decisions and small gratification is not worth it. There
are a husbands and wives that go out and have

(12:33):
an affair. It's not worth it. That decision just brings
devastation all around you when you do that. But yet
there is forgiveness one John one nine. If we confess
our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us
of our sins and cleanse us from all righteousness. And
then I'm thinking of the one who thinks Noah loves

(12:55):
them and that their life doesn't matter and the earth
would be better off with him if not on it.
That is wrong. That is a lie of the devil.
And then in a moment of time, they decide to
take their life, and thousands of people around them are devastated,
and there were many people that looked at them and
loved them. If you're feeling like that, go to a hospital,

(13:19):
check yourself in, Go get some counseling, Go get some help.
God loves you, he cares for you. If you're feeling suicidal,
call nine to one one. Get help. Don't let that
moment in time cause you to make a decision that
will last for eternity. That's what suicide does. But we

(13:41):
serve a good God, and we serve Jesus that loves us,
and he calls us to follow him each and every day.
Maybe you've made so many bad decisions you feel absolutely lost. Well,
I know someone who just found you. His name is Jesus,
and right now he is reaching out to you through

(14:04):
my voice. I want to invite you right now. I
don't care how many bad decisions or moments in times
you feel you've blown. I want to invite you to
come back to Jesus. You know Jesus never put shame
and condemnation on us. You know that's off from the devil.
The devil does that. Jesus doesn't do that. I invite you,

(14:26):
in this moment in time, to invite Christ into your
heart as your Lord and savior. Just say Jesus, repeat
after me, Jesus. I've blown it several times. Lord. I
know I'm a sinner. I asked you to forgive me
of my sins. Come into my heart and be my savior. Lord,

(14:51):
Help me to make right choices, right decisions and moments
in time. Help me to walk after you, to follow
you each and every day. Lord, I surrender all my
life to you, and I make you Lord of my
life in the name of Jesus. Wow ammen, fill me

(15:13):
with the Holy Spirit. Lord. I want to be filled
with your power. I want to be filled with your love.
I want the emptiness that I've been feeling to leave
and avoid in my life to go and the hopelessness
that I've felt to be gone. In the name of Jesus, Amen,
if you prayed that prayer, I invite you to find

(15:37):
a good church home that you can be a part of. Remember,
churches are never perfect because they're made up of people.
You got to remember that when you go, because eventually
it doesn't matter what church you're at, someone will offend
you and upset you and you can't go to church
for them. You go to church for you to have

(15:57):
a relationship with God. So a moment in time, what
are you facing right now? What are the decisions that
you have to make? As I'm saying this right now,
I'm got a scripture in my mind Proverbs three five
and six. Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

(16:18):
Lean not on your own understanding in all your ways,
Acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight. And
if you're about to make a decision, maybe you need
to get wise counsel because sometimes decisions that seem small
have the greatest impact and can affect us the most.

(16:38):
And maybe you've made a lot of bad decisions. Well,
find a counselor find a place to go to get healing.
God wants to help you. He wants, he wants, He's
reaching out to you right now. So ask yourself this question,
what would Jesus do? What's going to be the result
of the impact of the decision I'm about to make.

(17:02):
Does the decision I'm about to make go against God's word,
then you shouldn't do it. Resist the devil. He will
flee from you. A moment in time can change your
life forever. And I just want to speak to those
that are just feeling so unworthy because they have blown

(17:24):
it over and over it over. You know, my encouragement
to you is the Heavenly Father loves you. And you
know when our kids blow it, and we really love
our children, we invite them to get back up and
keep going and keep walking and don't quit. I tell
people that are caught in addiction, if you blow it

(17:47):
and you fall back into sin, get back up, repent
and keep going. Don't quit, don't stop, don't stay down,
Get up, Get up, Get up, because the Lord loves you. Remember,
though you fall seven times, get back up again. The
Bible says, though a righteous man falls seven times, he

(18:09):
will not be destroyed. And the reason for that is
God knows in his grand scheme of things that the
righteous will fall sometimes because everybody is human. But the
Bible tells us we will not fall beyond repair, that
we will be able to get back up and keep going.

(18:29):
And that's why the Bible says this phrase. I like
this phrase, but it's kind of scary. He who endures
to the end will be saved. And when I hear
that scripture, when I hear that spoke, he who endures
to the end will be saved. I know that I'm
going to have trials in my life that I have

(18:51):
to press through, that I have to endure through His strength.
But I know that I'm not alone, and you are
not alone either. So in the midst of the trial,
in the midst of life, there are many little moments
in time that are really critical, and we need to

(19:13):
be able to recognize them, to see them, and to
know how to respond to them when they come our way.
So I want to take some moment here and I
want to pray for you, Heavenly Father Lord. As I'm praying,
I'm thinking about everybody that's listening, the one driving the car,

(19:35):
sitting in their home, maybe listening to this. Later walking
on a treadmill. I don't know where they're at, Lord,
but I pray that they would know that you love them,
that you care for them. Lord, I pray that you
would help them to recognize the moments in time that

(19:55):
are important for them, to see them to make the
right decisions, even in the midst of the greatest teptation.
Through the power of the name of Jesus, I asked Lord,
that you would break every chain, that you would break
chains of addiction, that you would strengthen those that are

(20:19):
bound and give people the strength and the peace that
make the right decision in the moment in time they
know they need to make. Oh, in the name of Jesus,
I pray for those that are crying right now and
devastated because they know the life they're living right now

(20:40):
is not the life that you intended them to live.
And yet, yet, Lord, there's good news that if we
will turn to you, you will restore all the years
the locusts have eaten, that even though people have blown it,
their destiny still awaits them. Their destiny is not gone.

(21:00):
God's plan is not null and void because of a
bad decision or a few bad decisions. There are a
lot of bad decisions. You said that those that turn
to you you will no wise cast out. And I
pray that everybody under the sound of my voice would
turn their face toward you and say, Jesus, I turn
my face to you. Help me Lord, because I need

(21:23):
you this day, this hour, I needs you. Oh, I
need you. Lord. Give people new hope, new strength, new peace,
and made this moment in time right now as they're listening,
be the moment that changes their life for eternity. Oh.

(21:46):
I thank you God, because you are so good and
you love us. In the name of Jesus and Lord,
I thank you that there's no hopeless causes, no one's
a hopeless cause. We can turn to the Lord, even
at the last minute of our life, and he will
forgive us and welcome us into His kingdom. Lord, I
