Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Hollywood, Hamilton and the key to you morning crew.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Oh, thank you so much for having me. I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
Jessie, how are you.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm really good.
Speaker 3 (00:06):
How are you?
Speaker 1 (00:07):
I'm good? I'm good.
Speaker 4 (00:07):
So I know you come to New York a lot.
When you're here in New York? What are your favorite
things to do?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Usually just walk around the city, you know, catch a vibe,
eat some good food. You know.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
The summer's tough.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Luckily it's a little overcast today, but it gets a
little sticky in.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
The city gets pretty human. Yeah, apparently.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
I guess we're going to start a heat wave like
today or tomorrow, and we're going to get back into
the nineties.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
That should be nice and sweaty.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
You've already here when it was in the hundreds.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
Yeah, that was horrible, because you know it is. I
follow you on Instagram and I noticed that you like
to work out.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
I got to follow you back.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
You do have to follow you back perfect. I know
that you are at a dog pound.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Is that your thing?
Speaker 2 (00:44):
That's my thing? Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
I work out at dog pound in LA and when
I come to New York, I work out at dog
pound here.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
So that's one of your favorite places. I'm assuming in
New York.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
City they got great trainers. It's it's got a really
cool energy in there. You know, it's a real like weightlifting.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Jim.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Now we got to get into your product because not
only you're an actor and a producer, but now you're
in the skincare business.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Can you believe it?
Speaker 1 (01:05):
I can't, Like, where did this come from?
Speaker 3 (01:08):
After years of being asked about my skincare routine on
red carpets and having been in front of the camera
for twenty six years and having tried every product under
the sun, I was like, I think I can do
it better. You know, I want to create a product
line that sort of cuts through the noise of a
cluttered skincare market and delivers something that is simple, but
incredibly effective, great for all skin types, gender.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Neutral, I was going to say, for men and women.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Men and women. I'm really proud of this line.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
I love it. So it's called Neutral Skin.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Called Neutral Skin. It's taken me about two years to
bring it to market. You know, formulated these products branded,
and you know, I just launched back in April and
it's going really well. We got some really great momentum.
People seem to be really really loving the product line.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
I love that. So, now, how many step process is it?
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Well, it's for products right now.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
We're definitely open to developing some more products in the future.
But it's a you know, a daily exfoliating cleanser. The
cleanser is amazing. I'd say that's one of the hero
products in the line. It's got a little bit of
eucalyptus in it, which gives it a nice little refreshing
tangle it really. It also has charcoal which detoxifies the skin.
(02:16):
It's it's really your skin feels really clean after you
use this cleanser, but it doesn't feel dry and stripped.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
It has a really nice balance to it.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
It's great because a lot of things do dry.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
You out absolutely and it and it exfoliates with glacolic acid,
so it doesn't have it.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
It doesn't have a grain in it.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
You know that puts a lot of wear and tear
on your skin and actually really causes wrinkles.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
You know.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
It uses glacolic acid to break down the bonds between
the dead skin cells and sort of you know, increase
cellular turnover in your skin.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
I love that.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Now if somebody starts using the product, how long would
it take for them to start seeing results?
Speaker 2 (02:51):
You know, there's something about this product line.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
You know.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
The first of all, these products are a gel. They're
not a cream, so they're very they're very mad. They
don't make your skin greasy, and they absorb incredibly well
into your skin.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
And honestly, as soon as you put our vitamin C serum,
our anti aging under eye serum, and our daily restoring
moisturizer on your skin, you will definitely see a difference
in the texture of your skin.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
I mean it's pretty instantaneous.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
And this is the secret to your beautiful face.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I do use my product line.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
You know, celebrities are often asked if they actually use
their product line.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
I do morning and night, and you know, I swear
by these products.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
Would teenage Jesse ever think that he was going to
come up with this skincare line ever?
Speaker 2 (03:37):
You know what, maybe?
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Yeah, because I really struggled. I really struggled with my skin. Yeah,
when I was a teenager, I did two rounds of accutane.
It really did a number on my self confidence, you know,
when I was in high school. But luckily I had
a mom who was very proactive and educated me on
skincare and would you know, take me to an.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Esthetician to get facials.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
And you know that that experience coupled with the experience
I've I've had in the industry and being gifted pretty
much every product.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Under the sun.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
I mean, there's just so many products out there, and
a lot of women almost see it as like a hobby.
They like to, you know, cherry pick this product from
this line and this product from that line. But they
have like an eight, nine, ten step routine and nine
billion products on their bathroom counter. And for people that
are busy, you know, and have sort of you know,
(04:29):
big lives and big careers and travel a lot, that's
just not that's just not tenable, right, you know what
I mean. So I wanted to I wanted to create
something that just simplified the process.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
I love that. Now, what do you get more compliments
on your skincare or your six pack?
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Probably my skin? Probably my skin, I mean, because.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Listen, you don't look your age for sure, and it's
got it definitely, I know.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, you know, I'd like to say the proofs in
the pudding.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
I love that now of course, we have to talk
about some recent news that broke. You know, we got
to into some stuff she and a shade from Vanderpump rules.
I know she mentioned you in her new memoir. You
guys had dated back in the day. At least she
praised you.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
But what are your thoughts on what she had to
say to she first? Did she clear this with you?
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Well? I don't even know what she said. I just
know that she said something and that it was positive.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
Oh so basically okay, So I read I read a
little extra of what she said. She basically was talking
about that back in the day when you guys were dating,
that she was with you and your parents and that
used to play guitar for her and sing to her,
and you guys have had like dinners with the parents
and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
It was all like.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
Nice things, which I have to say, But I always
wonder did she clear that with you or she just.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
You know what, Sheen is a really sweet girl. I mean, no,
she didn't clear it with me.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
And it's not the first time that a reality star
has dropped my name in a book, of course, you know.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
But I look back on that time fondly, you know,
and we did date, and.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Uh, you know it's it's I'm happy she said something
nice about me, you know, I mean, much better than
anyone saying we we we dated briefly, but it was
definitely we definitely dated. I mean, uh, you know, you know,
she's a she's a she's a really nice person. I'm
really happy for all her success, you know, I mean,
as an actor who's been in the business as long
as I have, you know, a lot of us really
(06:14):
thought this reality thing was sort of going to come
and go right, and now it's like the biggest genre
on TV. So I'm really happy for her success. And uh,
you know, I've watched a lot of Vandr Prumper Rules.
She's she's great on the show, along with a lot
of the other characters. You know, Ariano Maddox for instance,
who I think is repped by the same talent agency
as I am, really has done remarkably well. And you know,
(06:36):
I'm I'm happy for these people. I certainly don't you know,
I'm certainly not a hater. I like that, that's for sure.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
That's incredible. Now you're also on Tory Spelling's podcast. I
know she brought up the John Tucker must Dice sequel,
which you said is unlikely. Now that there's been press
on it, has there been any updates? Has anyone reached
out and said, you know what we do want to do?
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Well, there's been a lot of press on it, a
lot of much much much more press, you know expected.
I'm sure even before the Tory Spelling podcast. You know,
there's a script it's over at twentieth Century Fox. I've
read the script. It's it's pretty good.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
I think most of the original actors said they would
want to participate, So I don't.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
I don't know what the hold up is twentieth century Fox.
You know, Yeah, let's get the show on the road.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
We got to get Jesse book, you know.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
I mean, although you are busy with this, still a
little bit more busy doesn't help.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Yeah, it doesn't hurt.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
It doesn't hurt, you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (07:27):
Now, speaking of the John Tucker Must Die, have you
ever experienced something like that in real life?
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Have I ever experienced something like that in realize?
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Like you know, we're date it.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Plea the fifth I don't. I don't want to incriminate myself.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
No, I mean, of course, you know, I mean sometimes
life imitates are you know I should say art imitates life?
You know?
Speaker 2 (07:47):
I mean I was definitely uniquely qualified to play that role.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
Okay, fair enough, fair enough? What about a real Desperate
Housewives moment?
Speaker 1 (07:54):
I never like a piece.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
I've never had an affair with a married woman never,
thank goodness now, and and I and I rarely dated
older when I was younger. Okay, so that was a
that was a unique storyline two Desperate Housewives. That was
obviously an incredible time in my career. I had an
amazing experience on that show. I hear they're, you know,
(08:19):
doing a reboot, and you're booting doing some kind of
new iteration of the show called Ohysteria, Lane.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Be interested in being po because I heard they're going
to be making having people from the original do cameos.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Would you be interested in being.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Well, honestly, I hadn't heard that, so that's music to
my ears, and of course i'd be interested. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
I did hear that.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
They said they were looking to bring back certain people
as potential cameos, and I'm like, oh my god, they
got to bring up Chessie like they have to.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
They have to, they have to. I mean, that's like
a no brainer. But I wonder what role you would play.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Now, John John Rowland, John Roll in the gardener, Yeah,
gardener come back as a different person.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
That sounds weird.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
I mean unless well, now are you? Are you married?
Speaker 2 (08:54):
You know? Maybe yeah? Well, you know, I'll leave it
to them to develop the storyline.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
But I mean, if anyone were to come back, you know,
that's a relatively significant character, but not you know, one
of the housewives.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
It makes sense that it was.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
It would now of course, talking about these shows, do
you still stay in contact with any of the cast
members like Penn Badgeley, Shanta, Eva Longoria.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
I see all of these people from time to time.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
I saw Sophia Bush, oh not that long ago, at
sort of at a fan event. I came to the
city and saw a play that Marcia Cross was in.
She was really touched that I showed up and supported her,
and she was She was magnificent. She's such a great actor.
I run into Eva Longoria pretty regularly. She's she's just
(09:38):
such an incredible human being. She's just so warm and
enthusiastic whenever you see her.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Absolutely love Eva. But you know, I don't.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
I don't stay in touch with really any of these
people on a regular basis. I think everyone's kind of
has their own life and it is, you know, pursuing
their dreams and their goals. Did you see Penny You're doing?
The show is incredible? Pen was great. You know, Penn,
that's your brother. We had a very very special bond
on John Tucker must Die. He we both play guitar.
He used to come up to my hotel room. We'd
(10:07):
like play guitar together. You know, he's a He's a
really cool, unique creative guy, and you know, he does
a lot of things really well. I think he I
think he did an independent movie back in the day
about Jeff Buckley, which I thought was really amazing. He's
he's a really underrated actor. I think people now see.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Have seen what he can do on you but incredible.
He's he's a very talented guy.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
And what about a Shanty Because the reason why I
bring her up is because she's from Long Island, which
isn't too far from here.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Have you been in touch with her?
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Because I know now I definitely haven't been in touch
with a Shanty, you know. But what I remember about
Ashanti is how down to earth she was, you know,
and for someone in music, specifically in like the R
and B rap game to be you know, down to
earth and as cool as she was on the set
of John Tucker Must Die.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
I was pretty impressed.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
I hear you on that one.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
It's funny too, because you know she was with Nelly
back then when you guys were He.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Was always cool too. He came to set one time, yeah,
and he was he was super cool.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
Oh my good. And now they got back together, as
you know, after like a ten.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Year I think that's so awesome. That's really cool.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
And they have their own reality I haven't seen the
reality show.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
I haven't seen it, but I'll check it out.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
You have to. And now here's the thing. I know.
You've never been married, you have no kids, You've been
playing a heart throb for years on end. You're like
George Clooney. Are you gonna ever settle down?
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yeah? When did George Clooney settle down?
Speaker 1 (11:32):
When he was much older?
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Okay? Perfect?
Speaker 1 (11:34):
So I was gonna say, you remind me.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Of like George Klote.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
I think fifty sounds good. Fifty yeah, yeah, not too
long to ago, No, not long at all. Okay, three
and a half years.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
And would you be open to having kids?
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Then absolutely, yes, I definitely want to have kids.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
I love that now. Of course, I also do want
to know you do a lot of Hallmark movies. Are
you more recognized for Hallmark movies or Desperate Housewives right now?
Speaker 3 (11:56):
I'm definitely more recognized for Desperate Housewives and John Tucker
must Dial. I'm really proud of the work that I've
done on Hallmark.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
They have.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
An amazing fan base there that are just super loyal
and enthusiastic. I'm actually going to be doing Christmas Con
in New Jersey. Yeah, it's December, December ninth, tenth, and eleventh.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Don't you do that every year? Because what am I?
Speaker 2 (12:19):
I usually do? I usually do at point I usually do.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
And that's that's a great place to interact with all
the Hallmark fans, and you know they're amazing.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Well.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
Marie from our Morning show is a huge Hallmark fan.
She talks about Hallmark all the time and she's a
huge fan of.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Yours, so she definitely want to hide you.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Of course, I would love that.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
And also I know that you're a pretty private person,
but I want a little bit of a tease. Is
there anything that you're working on that might like break
the internet if they find out an I don't know.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
About anything that's going to break the internet, but I
do have a couple of movies coming out. I got
a horror movie coming out called Possession at Gladstone Manor.
I have an action comedy coming out called Boris Is Dead.
I just did a pretty spicy little photo shoot that's
sort of a Desperate Housewives throwback with Stasy Baby Get
(13:10):
Out of Here, and I think she's going to be
posting that pretty soon, maybe even this week, So keep
your keep your eye out for that. I think the
fans will get a kick out.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Spicy Spicy. She has us a little team love.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
I have a whole lot of clothes on Oh.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
My goodness, because somebody passed it out right now. Well,
I do want to remind everyone again about your new
skin care line, Neutral Skin, Neutral Skin.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Ratral Skin. It's spelled phonetically n ut r l Skin.
The products available on neutral skin dot com, follow us
on Instagram at neutral Skin, and I'm gonna be live
on Good Morning America tomorrow Morning Perfect and you get
an opportunity to buy our product at fifty percent off.
Oh Steel, don't miss the opportunity.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
We sold out last time, we'll probably sell out again.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Do you think we're going to ever get to see
your product in Sephora Ultra.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
I'd say so, I'd say so. I haven't.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
I haven't put retail at the forefront of my business
plan for Neutral Skin because you know, brick and mortar is,
you know, a little bit of a dying space. You know,
people like to buy everything online these days, but it's
definitely a flex to be in Sephora or Alta, and
you know, hopefully that's in our future.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Awesome.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Can we open the box to show everybody what it
looks like, because I just want them to know what
they're going to be getting.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
These are special pr boxes that we made, Okay, so
you know, if people order the product, they they'll get
each product individually packaged. But you know, this is the cleanser,
this is the vitamin C serum, the anti aging under
I serum, and the restoring moisturizer. And I mean these
the packaging is amazing.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
You know, it's very clean looking.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
The products are really really cool. Like I said, it's
like a gel. I mean, you know, I mean, look,
I could put.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
This on my skin right now.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
You know, it absorbs incredibly well, smells incredible. Although there's
no fragrance in our products. That's the great thing about
our products is that they're probably the cleanest product on
the market. We have no fragrance, no silicones, no parabins.
It's cruelty free, vegan, completely organic, and it's great for
all skin types. So if you have sensitive skin, this
(15:14):
is not going to irritate your skin whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Love it.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
You're speaking my language. Sensitivity on my skin is exactly
what always happens.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Jesse, thank you so much for stopping Bio General. Thank
you for Morning Crew. We love you.
