Yeah, So twenty four million dollars in prizes that were
claimed from nineteen nineties into the early two thousand, I

Jerome uncle Jerry Jacobson. He was head of security at

to know how he did this.

He stole the winning game pieces and he gave them
to friends, family, and then just random people. I guess
that he said, hey, I'll make you a deal, and
in exchange for the winning pieces, he said, let's I
want to cut of the prize money.

Oh double down.

Yeah, So twenty four million dollars in prizes that were
claimed from nineteen nineties into the early two thousand, I
think two thousand and one.

All right, here's the question. How much of the blame
did it fall on McDonald's. Was it all this one
cat or was it Did any of the blame fall
on McDonald's.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
No, No, not McDonald's because this guy, I think was
hired by McDonald's. So he got thirty seven months in
prison and he had to pay back twelve point five
million dollars. And then I think more than fifty people
that were involved in it also were charged in this scheme.

McDonald's cut ties with them, and I think they launched
like a ten million dollar giveaway to win back people's trusts.
