she's in jail for trying to get what was caught
down in Miami, yep, trying to get him out of
the country. The question is all the moms out there

type of parent. I am about taking full responsibility for
your behavior and your actions. And if if you have

to go through the court case, you having. I will

an accident. There was an accidental.

Marie's absolutely right, she is. But if I'm being honest,
my heart does go out to this mom. It's a
highly charged case and you've got parents grieving a child
that died. But all that being said, I understand this
mom is probably in fear of the American justice system.
Don't you think she's wrestling between maternal instinct and emotional protection.

I think the cultural and family ties in Albania wanting
to get your son out so he's got a chance
in a life.

Feels so bad he killed his friend.

You don't think that's punishment enough. It was an accident.
It'll never happen again. I understand this mom. I'm not

of goes out. I mean, I think I might have
done something similar if I was desperate, and I could
see myself doing that.

phone behind and it was ringing. I picked it up
and it was his parole officer. I didn't know he
had been in prison.

officer that he skipped his parole meeting and he was
in prison for attempting to murder his ex fiance.

Oh yeah, there must have been technicalities or something, because
that doesn't sound right, but there was.

Island mother who was caught protecting her twenty year old
son trying to get him out of the country after
he was allegedly which he was involved in it, but
allegedly until court. Is what next? It's next week, right, Samantha.

It is August twenty eighth, is the date.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
He was in a street race and he crashed and
he sadly, sadly, this twenty year old son sadly killed
another kid and a possibility of going up the river
right there, and the mother wasn't having it. The mother
wanted to get him out of the country. And now
she's in jail for trying to get what was caught
down in Miami, yep, trying to get him out of
the country. The question is all the moms out there

six niney ninety three five we want to hear from you.
Would you help your teenage or twenty year old, nineteen
year old son get out of this country. If your
child was in this situation, Mama, Marie, you're the mama
of family. Heirea. What do you think?

I will say, absolutely not. I am a tough love
type of parent. I am about taking full responsibility for
your behavior and your actions. And if if you have
killed somebody.

What, well, yeah, but vehicular manslaughter. He did indeed accident exactly.

And what was he doing? You said he was racing?
Speaker 1 (34:27):
He was drag racing.

Because you're twenty kids? Man? Kids, If I would have
been caught on all the dump that I did when
I was a kid, I'd be imprisoned throughout my life.
It's kids stuff. It's kids. I know, it's bad. I
don't know, man.

And it was his friend in the car.

He killed his friend.
Speaker 10 (34:45):
That's what happened.

I I understand, and that is a terrible thing to
have to live with for the rest of your life.
But you're gonna have to face the fact that this
is what happened, this is what you're responsible for, and
you're gonna have to face the content sequences. I will
support you as your mother. But you're gonna have to.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
You're not supporting, Yeah, I am.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
I'm gonna support you through the whole process. You having
to go through the court case, you having. I will
help you pay for defense attorney, but you have to.
You're gonna have to go through this.

I don't know, he didn't put a gun to the
other kids had and killed him. He actually that was
an accident. There was an accidental.
Speaker 13 (35:24):
Marie's absolutely right, she is. But if I'm being honest,
my heart does go out to this mom. It's a
highly charged case and you've got parents grieving a child
that died. But all that being said, I understand this
mom is probably in fear of the American justice system.
Don't you think she's wrestling between maternal instinct and emotional protection.
(35:46):
I think the cultural and family ties in Albania wanting
to get your son out so he's got a chance
in a life.
Speaker 10 (35:52):
You don't think this kid.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
Feels so bad he killed his friend.
Speaker 13 (35:55):
You don't think that's punishment enough. It was an accident.
It'll never happen again. I understand this mom. I'm not
saying it's right, it's not, but wow, my heart kind
of goes out. I mean, I think I might have
done something similar if I was desperate, and I could
see myself doing that.

Years ago, when I was younger. I would have got
you if you had kids, Samantha, you would have got
your kids out of the.
Speaker 13 (36:18):
I could see maybe me trying to help my son. Yes,
I could see me trying to do that.

It's tough.

Yeah, it's like vehicular dui, vehicular manslaughter. Right, you're driving
the car. You don't mean to hit anybody. You're you're
drunk and you get behind a wheel. You don't mean
to kill anybody, but you did, and you have to
weren't drinking.

They were not drinking though.

No, I'm using that as an example. I'm using that
as if it was a drag race, that when you
made a choice to get behind the wheel, you decide
to get behind the wheel and drag race be prepared
for anything that can happen.

So the family has spoken out and they're understandably outraged
and desperate for justice.

And I can understand that. I don't think they knew.

Each other well, this mom and the other family, but
they feel like the mom running was was her trying
to not.

See justice for their deceased son.

And so I can understand that family too.

Did I forget to mention this? He allegedly ditched the
scene of the crash, did not dial nine one one,
and went on the lamb for two and a half weeks.
He left his friend to die, allegedly did not call
