And in front of me right now are two beautiful Rockets.
Introduce yourselves, ladies.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Good morning, Astra. I'm Ellen, thank you so much for
having us.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Good morning. I'm Mallorie.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Happy to be here. We are so happy to have you.
First of all, you guys look super festive. I have
to just paint the picture. You guys are wearing these
red and silver sequin.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
We are wearing our New York at Christmas costume. You
can catch us kicking in it this holiday season at
Radio City now through January fifth.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
I love it. So how long have you ladies been Rockets?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
This is my third season as a Radio City Rocket.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
This is my ninth season this Christmas.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
That's incredible. So what is the tryout process for something
like this?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yes, to be a rocket, we audition every year so
that we keep those eye high kicks what you know
them to be. We are so excited to be kicking.
We've been in rehearsals and we place the tallest dancers
in the middle of our kickline. We get shorter as
we go out so that we all appear the same
height and anywhere that you're sitting in Radio City, you
can be amazed. Part of the Christmas magic with us.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
And speaking of heights, is there still a height requirement
to be a rocket? To be a rocket?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
We are so focused on just giving you the strongest
line possible. And like I said, the tallest dancers are
in the middle, and then I will be in the line,
and then Mallory's there on the end.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
And we love it.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
I love it so obviously. The Christmas Spectacular is something
that people come near and wide for, come from even
out of the country to come check this out. As
a local New Yorker, I've come to see you guys
many of times, so I'm super excited about that, which
I will be back to see you guys this year.
But for those who are coming in, I know that
you guys like to change the show basically every year.
What's new in the show this year?

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Yes, we have a new cutting edge holographic technology. It's
a new number featuring Sanna and the classic Christmas song
We need a little Christmas.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Oh that is so cute and Santa comes out and everything.
Are you guys still bringing the animals out too?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
We have so much magic happening this year. In the show,
we have the classic numbers like the Parade of the
Wooden Soldiers, like the Living Nativity, and alongside that holographic number,
you can also see fairy drones. Wherever you are, whether
you've seen the show before or it's your first time
at Radio City, you are immersed in the winter wonderland
that is Radio City Music Hall from the moment you
