Speaker 2 (01:53):
AMAZING i didn't. Either actually had to go look that one.
Up and you, know you, say, hey you, know LIKE i,
said he still alive and celebrating his birthday. Today so,
anyway talking About Buggy Joe, BUKS i HAVE i have.
QUESTIONS i have, questions AND.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
I am, questionable all, right way.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Wrong, yes you are questionable AND i didn't even see
it even phase. Me and if you have things you
specific you want to make sure you cover the, day
that is. Great but here's my first. One coming out
of this past winter and going into the. Fall through
the fall obviously very, DRY a lot of folks didn't
get their, lawns received a lot of bear spots and

(02:33):
lawns this. YEAR i felt like lawns browned out more
along sidewalks and. Driveways thus the use of snow, melters
ice melters with with the snow that we had run
off there AND i see a lot of, brown a
lot of weeds coming up the winter annuals and dand
lands and they always show up in those lines, across you,

(02:54):
know around the. Driveway to my question to you is
where we get a lot of salt run off that
causes that kind of. DAMAGE i, know rainfall is probably
one of your best, friends excessive rainfall to kind of
leased that. Through and you, know gypsum comes up in
conversation as as far as being a possible salt neutralizer

(03:18):
when you're trying to go back in there and a
reced and get the new seed coming back up. Again,
UH a lot of folks don't know that you typically
a traditionally you are actually a turf. Specialist, WELL i.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Don't know IF i, mean we really have.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Your degree in turf management or something like. That Originally, no, no.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
It was it was biology and. Chemistry and but we
all we, all we, ALL i mean we all end
up under turf in.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
A way we do all, yeah under, turf.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Not all of. Us, so so gypsum is an interesting. Thing,
yes it does have the ability to release the. Salts
and WHEN i and you, know and this has been
important because WHEN i use the word, salts that's kind
of mineral salts are general like for, example potassium chloride

(04:20):
is a mineral. Salts anytime you have chlorine, involved it's
it's a. Salt, however we're talking about sodium. Chloride the
point being is all of those fascium and, sodium they're
positively charged. Ions now that means that they stick to
things like clay particles that have negative sites on the,

(04:44):
particles just like just like you, know two magnets sticking
together and opposite. Ends, now what gypsum does has, helped
it helps to break that what we call electrostatic bond
because it is it's exactly like what happens with, magnets
and it does help to release Those and that was

(05:04):
first seen out. West you know The i've told you
the story before that there was a misunderstanding that gypsum
could improve clay soils because out west they have what
are called sodic, soils soils that are high in mineral,
salts not just sodium. Chloride and also out west they

(05:25):
have large deposits of. Gypsum right when those soils get
when those sodic soils get, wet they get real. Sticky in,
fact you really could think that they you can make
snakes out. Of you can really think that they're clay.
Soils but people discovered if they if they put some
gypsum on that it would it would it would become more,

(05:46):
friable it would become a better. Soil so you could see,
THIS i, mean you could kind of imagine people thought
that they were dealing with clay soils when in fact
they were dealing with sodic, soils and they thought that
the gypsum was improving that clay. Soil and that's still
you know that still exists this. Day, Right sometimes you hear,
IT i hear. It, yeah you have clay soil put down. Gypsum, well,

(06:10):
no that's you, know clay is a physical, property not
a chemical. Property the sodic soils or the salt in
your soil is is a chemical. Problem so gypsum doesn't
affect you, know the physical qualities of that. Soil, however
it can release. Salt now here is the. Problem we

(06:32):
really don't have good information on how much do you.
Use that's that's kind of that's a that's a challenge
and the main reason is it has to do it
has to do with the amount of clay that you
have in your. Soil it has to do with the.
Texture now you might be, saying, well wait a, Second,
joe you're you, know you're saying two different. Things you just.

(06:53):
Said you, know it's not a physical. Problem you, know
it's a chemical. Problem but it is the physical problem
because the more clay you, have the more sites that
you have for the salt to attach. To see What i'm,
saying it's there's more places for that to. Happen and
you know the use of gypsum can can help with.

(07:15):
That and any of my soil friends out, there they're
listening To wow he is he is super, simplifying AND
i really. Am you, know it's a lot more to.
That but at the end of the, day we could, Say,
okay apply, gypsum but you don't want to, overshoot and
that's always the concern WHEN i manage. Landscaping and it's

(07:37):
interesting because it was at The governor's residence In, pennsylvania
which you know has been in the news. Lately we had,
problems you, know because we had to use salt along the.
Sidewalks the same at The Capital complex In. Pennsylvania and
we did try gypsum applications and we did see some
improvements and it was totally shooting in the dark ron

(08:00):
track of the. Amount BUT i didn't do a textual.
Analysis i'm waiting for the drum roll because remember last
week we talked About i'm in the middle right now
of updating our soul testing fact. Sheet in the original fact,
sheet we kind of glossed over doing the textual. Analysis,

(08:20):
uh this, one we're gonna put. It we're going to
have it in. There we're gonna talk a little bit about.
That but that's the, key that's a key. Thing but most, people,
well let's be, honest it's hard to even you, know
get soul testing. DONE i mean myself. Included you, know
it's you know, so but then to go that extra
step and it costs a little, extra you, know to

(08:42):
have the textual analysis to see how much clay you. Have,
well most most people just don't do. That so it
comes back around to saying, This, yes gypsum has the
potential for, helping but we don't want you to. Overshoot
that brings us back to what is the safest Way
and you just said it Leeching and after the, BREAK
i just looked at my, Watch i'm thinking there must

(09:04):
be a. Break, yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
So after the break you're going to address. That, well
we'll take a look at.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
That and, also you, KNOW i look at those those
areas because you, know grass a lot of times things
OUT i gets hot and. Dry where's the grass start
to to dry out right? There where are the weeds
popping up right? There it's a combination of. Things, So,
mike based on what you were saying there with the
clay and, all my comment has always, been if you
can take those areas as well as that hell strip

(09:30):
between a sidewalk and the. Street and if you took
those and actually added more organic matter to the.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Soil, yeah, yeah would that not?

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Help, yeah help that salt continue to move on and
not build up and not. See and so now you've
got a combination of no of less salt build, up
and you've also got a situation where the grass roots
in better, molds moisture, better tolerates the drought, better and
you wind up not having those thinning out issues as
much as you would have had had you not added

(10:01):
the organic.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Matter that's, true and there's that's all you can. Say
help you, out that's all you can.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Say and we'll find out what that other thing is
to help us out after the break here on news
radio six to TEN. Wtvn and trust, me if there's
a rambling, man especially if the bugs or diseases are,
active It's Buggy Joe, boggs oh issue extant chen and
he's always on the, road always.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Up for a road.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Trip i'll tell, YOU i thought you meant, rambling like
rambling on and on. Rambling you know that you know
one thing about turf grass that we're talking about, here
that and that we both you, know should be, mentioning
and we did kind of talk about last. Week you,
know if you do have bear, areas and, yes if

(10:51):
you go if you read about turf crafs. Establishment you,
know we always talk about, well you, know late summerly
falls the better time of the. Year of, course we
had draw which made that, difficult but a spring seating
is still something that can be. Accomplished, again AS i
said last, week you, know the, plants the juvenile plants may,

(11:13):
struggle you know In july And. August you do have
to be aware of that. That you, know we talk
about watering to save the crowns of the, plant the
growing point of the of the. Plants so you know
that that truly needs to happen if you've seated in the.
Spring but it's better than just letting it stay, there
right because then you, know you can start getting seating

(11:37):
by the winter, annuals which a lot of, folks you,
know when we say winter, annuals SOMETIMES i do it
all the. TIME i just say it and gloss over,
it not realizing oh wait a, minute you know when
do they produce? Seed and it's exactly the opposite from summer.
Annuals the weeds are more familiar with or perennials like
theandelions with winter. ANNUALS i, mean they're going to be

(12:00):
producing seed right. Now they they grow the seed german
ates though in the, fall they grow through the. Winter
they continue growing in the, spring and then they start producing.
Seed and and that's that's a challenge because once that
seed goes, down THEN i, THINK i THINK i said
something wrong a minute. Ago they don't start growing in the.

(12:21):
Spring they put the seed down in the. SPRING i
want to emphasize that because that's. Why, yeah well they.
Do but you, KNOW i just, describe you, know more
of a summer annual that german ates in the spring
grows through the. Season the point being is that's why
we're seeing so. Much you, KNOW i have A i

(12:43):
have an AREA i THINK i mentioned last week WHERE
i just couldn't drag the HOSE i watered to keep
the crowns alive.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
And ladies and gentle.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
His. Deck, yes that's. Right the hose would only REACH
i couldn't stand on the. Deck and so it's just
it's in a devil. Strip but our devil strips are pretty.
Wide you're like like six feet. Wide but it's it's
the furthest away from the hose. Bibs so you, know

(13:14):
it's it was just SO i was lazy a little
bit too, also you, know just ran out of time
trying to do the. Watering there there are many. EXCUSES
i have a lot more if you're, Interested but the
point being IS i have a wonderful. Crop i've taken
pictures of, it of him, bit which of course is you,
know a winter. Annual. Uh there's a little chick weed

(13:35):
mixed in, there not much dead. Netle but we're seeing those.
Three those are the big three That i'm seeing a lot,
of and they're coming up in these areas of turf
grass that were that faded out during the. Drought so
it's very important to get that turf seed, down hopefully
get some establishment this, spring and that way, hopefully you,

(13:59):
know we have a little bit better, summer no. Drought
but that's you, know it's a roll of the. Dice
the main goal you And i've talked about this. Before
the best herbicide is a thick turf. Grass because you
know it sounds. Funny two best herbicides thick turf, grass
high cut turf, grass raise that mower and then thicking

(14:22):
it up by overseating when you, can and spring is
perfectly fine because that's you're trying to achieve that, goal
and so that's something that we need to. Mention it
back to the salt. Injury one other thing, though to think.
ABOUT i was doing a site. Visit it had nothing
to do with the turf. Grass we were looking at
some other plants of great. Concern thought maybe there's a

(14:44):
non native invasive that was. There but it turned OUT
i was looking at the edge of the sidewalk AND
i kind of made the, COMMENT i, said did you
use laws of Salt and the gentleman, responded he, said,
no that's actually where you know that you have the
bay for the, sidewalk and he, said and along the
edge there was a little bit of an, extension so

(15:06):
there's gravel under. There now that's something THAT i never thought,
about but occasionally that does occur, occasionally sidewalks, underpinning and
of course that leads to much quicker, drainage and so
it may or may not be salt and. Involved but
most certainly there's a probability that the rapid drainage meant

(15:29):
that turf grasses dried out much. Faster of, course that's
kind of a that's a good news bad news. Thing
it means you know, that, okay it's not salt, injury
but the bad news is, that, okay those are spots
that you're going to have to consider really doing. Something
and you can't really dig out the. Gravel but what

(15:50):
you can do, is as you just, said adding organic
matter as best that you, can even doing a little
trick like we see on golf course called top. Dressing
you And i've talked about that a few. Times top
dressing means that you you can you can lay you,
know organic, matter you can lay composts over turf. Grass

(16:12):
you can even bury the crowns a little. Bit those
crowns will elevate as long as you don't go too.
Deep and the idea of the meaning is, that, okay
you can get that organic matter into the, soil but
the best way to get it in there is to
do core, aeration and even if you're just doing a
small area and then add the organic, matter because you

(16:35):
now have holes where it can drop. Into so so
we've really given people a lot to do this, weekend haven't.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
We, yeah, yeah get through the, weekend do it On
monday or or.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
There's always next, weekend, Right that's WHAT i.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Always they're always next weekend as. Well one last question for,
You Easter buddy is out about. Tonight what Does Buggy
Joe bog asked for in His easter?

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Basket, WELL i gotta tell, you my, my you, KNOW
i love the chocolate bunnies that are hollow because you, know,
you you know they will contain adult, beverages, right you,
know yes.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
They, Will, yes they, will they.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Will. Yes, however. WHOPPERS i got to tell You i've
always BEEN i mean, malt AND i have a recipe
THAT i grew up. With you put BUT i didn't you,
know after blenders were well were invented and well. Distributed,
RIGHT i just realized WHAT i was about to.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Say did you use a crushing?

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Stone and, yes, yes we go out in the. Backyard
there was a big rock out there that we. Used you,
know archaeologists will find, those, no They you put those
in a, blender you, know some milk and just a
little bit at, first just a little bit of ice
cream to kind of, help you, know keep things, moving

(17:56):
and then put more ice cream along with what year
after it's produced sing a very rich chocolate malt that
is my favorite right.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
There so you're for malted milk.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
BALLS i love. THEM i love always have. Whoppers got?

Speaker 1 (18:13):
It got it?

Speaker 3 (18:14):
Well and there are, yeah there are. Others, Oh i'm.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Sure you wouldn't turn down as or pieces or.

Speaker 5 (18:21):
Almonds, actually, NOW i thank, you AND i disagree on.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
THIS i can't. Recall but everything but the candy CORN
i just have to ADMIT i just cannot get you,
know it just doesn't do much for.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Me but you have to make honey roasted peanuts with?

Speaker 3 (18:37):
It what roasted? Peanuts?

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Yeah and your?

Speaker 5 (18:42):
Candy all, right there's a recipe From did you get
that from me to hiking?

Speaker 1 (18:49):
FELT i did, not.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
But you would deny.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
It, yeah but try that. SOMETIME i tell you. What Joe,
boggs we got to. Go always a, pleasure great in for.
Me we will talk to you Next. Saturday have a
Great easter.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Weekend, hey you have a great. Weekend i'll talk to
you next. Week bye, bye take.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Care quick, break we come. Back phone lines are open
for you at eight two to ONE, wtvn eight hundred
and six to TEN. Wtvn here on News radio six TEN, wtvn.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
We are.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Talking you are here on news radio six ten AND.
WTVN i don't know if you were able to check
the soil temperatures like over the last couple of, days
but they are really starting to come up. Quickly obviously
we are past that, threshold and we'll stay past that.
Threshold i'll put my paycheck on. It for planting cool season.

(19:40):
Crops you're good to. Go and if you're not sure
What i'm talking, about we're talking about kale and cabbage
and collars and broccoli And brussels sprouts and peas and
onions and potatoes and.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Spinach let us be.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Interested my brainer ratishes WHAT i, Mentioned, carrots, beets, turnips cole,
robbie all of, those and don't get rhubarb and asparagus
and horse radish and pars. Snips they can all be
planted right now. Too the one you don't want to
would be sweet. Potatoes they do want the warmer soil,
temperature so hold off on. That but, otherwise all those

(20:14):
cool season crops we are good to.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Go SO i have at.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
It get those in and get them, going get them,
growing and take advantage of the cooler temperatures as we
continue to warm. Up but, yeah the soil TEMPERATURES i
think from here on are just going to continue to
this is do on the, Climb so we'll keep an
eye on that and keep you posting on those as.
Well but no doubt we're ready for planning all the
cool season crops to the gardening phone, ies we shall Go,

(20:40):
bob good, Morning.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Hey, ryan good.

Speaker 6 (20:43):
Morning how are?

Speaker 1 (20:43):
You i'm great in, yourself all doing really?

Speaker 6 (20:47):
Good good quick? Question did a primo back In march
and already molde a couple more. Times jack yard really
got shit last year with had drought and. Everything i've
been researching something called micro clover or mini, clover, yes
and it looks like it's got a lot of. Potential

(21:09):
it would be for the backyard killing in a lot
of the beer spot good pollinators seems pretty. Hardy just
wonder in your opinion on.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
It we're using it more and.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
More as a matter of, FACT i know several people
now that have been using it for a couple of
years and really like. It and the thing about the
micro clovers is the fact that they stay very, low
so you sometimes don't even you barely notice them in the,
turf and they're not a major flowering. Clover they'll flower
and it's good for the. Pollinators but the basic thing

(21:40):
we'll use in the micro clovers is the fact that you,
know your turf type tall ascues or whatever still grow
up above. It it's, there but it's producing nitrogen back
into the. Soil helps to feed the lawn. Naturally so
you get a combination of you, know feeding the lawn
naturally as well as a few flowers here and there
for the. Pollinators not a big standout of as far
as the, flowers but it's there and you, know you

(22:03):
can do the you can see that with the micro
clover spring and fall either way and get that up and.
Growing so we are seeing those used a heck of
a lot. More if you, can't you, Know and again
you go, online you find all kinds of. SOURCES i
had the folks on last. YEAR i think they're based
out Of wisconsin Or, MINNESOTA i forget which one is

(22:25):
called flawns F L A w n s and those
are flowering lawns and they offer all kinds of things
that you can put in your lawn at flower to
help out the. Pollinators but micro clover's happens to be
one of the things that they specialize. In AND i
think it's flowering lawn dot info or flowering lawn dot.
Org But flawn just Put flawn in. There it'll take

(22:46):
you right to their website and you can order it
online AND i have a shipt right to your. House so,
YES i think it's it's up and. COMING i think
it's something out there THAT i now recommend THAT i.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Know more about.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
It, OKAY i do have one quick, question if you don't.
Mind four or five years, ago WHEN i first started,
listening you were really big on canacity for. Crabgraphs, yes
AND i know that that's tell you, know it's part
Of scott's you, know, uh you, know being able to
see it. All so one thing That i've been able to,

(23:18):
find And i'm not sure about. It it looks like
it would kill the. Clover so and which makes. Sense,
uh is there anything that might go where we could,
say kill the crab graphs but not kill? Clover?

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Uh Order one of the drawbacks of using micro clover
in your lawn or most of these flowering dishes to
an existing turf is the lack of use of weed.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
Killers, yeah.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
So it's really just one or the.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Other, Correct so now you're gonna you, know you can
go through a new little spot treating obviously physical, removal
but that is, uh that would be one of THE
i guess you could say what probably one of the
biggest drawbacks if you would get involved with something like.
That but now the kicker is hopefully by doing the
micro clover and it's feeding the, lawn and you maybe
even overseed the turf if you have a turf typed
off rescue for, instance and you oversee that every three

(24:13):
or four, years to make sure it's nice and. Full
that the micro clover is nice and, full you should
be having a nice enough lawn to compete with most
or out compete most weed seeds from blowing in, there
germinating and starting to. Grow so hopefully that will all
help cultural practices along with it that you won't have
as much of an. Issue but if you, do, no

(24:34):
you cannot you, know if you, spray which you may
get into a situation where it's just. Horrible, uh it
would take care of the clover as.

Speaker 6 (24:43):
Well, yes, Okay i'll give it a, shouting give you
a call back next.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Year, YEAH i appreciate THAT i have good hearing from,
you and, yeah let me know how it. Turns out for.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
You you, bet thank?

Speaker 2 (24:53):
You all, right take care now the break we come.
Back phone lines are open for you at eight two
to ONE. Wtvn coming up the top of the. Hour
my good Buddy ron Rothis he is a master certified
arborus and of course our hobby. Meteorologist we're gonna talk
With ron about what he sees now over the next
three or four. Weeks very crucial as far as now
we're getting into planting those looking ahead to plant those tender,

(25:13):
annuals those tomatoes and. Peppers you, know what's he seen out?
There as far as the frosts and freezing cold. Weather
what's he? Thinking also this time of the, year what
are we doing about. Trees there's a lot of things
going on right. Now we'll talk about both of those
here on News radio six to TEN. Wtvn it is
The easter weekend here on News radio six ten AND.

(25:34):
Wtvn and you know, what we've we've got a chance
of some storms coming, through a little bit of rain or.
Whatever BUT i would, suggest if you haven't done, it
get out your locally owned independent garden centers today maybe
tomorrow as, well and check out all the great plants
that they've got there for you a lot of cool
season flowers for you to plant if you're looking to
put a little color out there before we get into
the annual, season summer, annuals pansies and. Primrose there's a

(25:57):
lot of perennials that look a nice right now that
you could put in. Containers, Uh so you, know take
it out and you'll also find as you get out
to the garden centers a lot of easter. Plants you,
know you look around right now and you're seeing tulips and, daffodils,
highacins all those spring flowering bulbs in, containers perfect for
decorating for the, holiday for the, yeah for the, holidays For.

(26:19):
Easter but the thing to remember about those is that
there very much can be very much repurposed right back
into your your your. Gardens so when you're done using
those spring flowering bulbs and they're, finished to use them
inside deadhead, those feed the keep them growing in the.
Container deadhead, those uh and just set them, outside keep

(26:41):
them watered and let them continue to grow in those.
Containers and it'll take about six weeks or so after
they're done flowering that you can actually if the foldge
just started to turn. Yellow by that, point, great you
can cut it. Off you're ready to. Go if, not
go ahead and cut it, off because giving it about
six weeks is more than enough to replace each the
bulb down. Below cut that foliage off about an inch

(27:03):
and a half above the. Bulb, okay and kind of
clean them off a little. Bit see where they, are
and replant them somewhere in your beds so they can
sit there over the rest of the year and come
up again next. Spring now you'll want to take them
out of the pots and cut that WHEN i say
cut that off about an inch and a half two

(27:23):
inches above the, bulb because that will all eventually turn.
Brown it's going to be very succulent as you. Plant
normally you would cut that, off let it, dried and
clean them off and go from. There, well we're not
going to do that at this. Stage we're going to
just put them right back in the. Ground but the
little spoma's bulb tone water, men get plant, it water,
men and you're good to.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Go in those.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
CONTAINERS a lot of times they'll only plan them two
or three inches, deep which is. Great they'll grow in.
There but when you go to plant, tulips and dafts
hyat and, say you, know we're talking more like six
inches into the, ground so you'll want to be planting
them deeper than what they were in those. Containers but
again you and repurpose those back into the garden hydranges
that you find.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
In there right.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Now if they are floral forced and probably they, are
and most of the time they're macrophileo. Types hopefully they
have a tag on them to tell you what the
variety is if it's a hardy. Variety and, again once
you know you can could get those, outside get them,
planted and grow them into your. Landscape but if they're
not a hardy, variety then you're either gonna have to
do everything you can to protect them over the, wintertime

(28:26):
or grow them in a container over one of them
in an unheated garage or shed where they're, protected take
them back outside in the. Springtime so the unheardy, varieties
non hardy varieties not gonna make. It but a lot
of times they don't come with names on the, plant
so it's hard to look it. Up so you're taking
a chance if you plant them in the ground and
expect them to come back the following. Year azalea is

(28:47):
the same. Way usually a floral forced, variety typically not
hardy varieties for our. Area if it has a name on, it,
great look it, up see what the heartiness zone. Is
otherwise you can grow those as. Zaleas believe it or.
Not you can take those back inside as a houseplant
over the wintertime and then take them back out in
the spring and just take them back and. Forth we've

(29:08):
done that before as a matter of, fact in the.
House if they set buds during this growing, season some
of those buds will open in the house over the.
Wintertime you get one or, two they'll go into flour
kind of cool but again not haardy for, outside but
could be grown in a container brought inside outside sunny
area when it's in the house, obviously but could be

(29:28):
repurposed that way as. Well and then of course the
easter lily absolutely repurpose back into your perennial gardens. Again
once they're finished, flowering deadhead, them keep them in that
container for another couple, weeks feed, them water. Them we
want to let the temperatures kind of warm up a
little bit because these are still a little bit tender

(29:49):
form being forced into the. Greenhouse then take them, outside
plant them in your perennial. Garden sometimes they stay, green
sometimes they'll start to. Yellow if they, do just cut them,
off but then they'll root in and come right for,
you sometimes this, year sometimes next. Year but repurpose those
back into your garden as. Well so many of those
easter plants can be continued. On they're not a throwaway

(30:11):
and you can continue to use them year after year
after year in your yard and. Garden Quick break we
come back after the top of the. Hour Ron rothis
will join. Us we'll talk about the, weather and we're
gonna talk about trees and what you should be doing
with your trees right. Now and then after that we'll
still be taking your calls at eight two to ONE
wtvn and so all having here on news radio six
to TEN. Wtvn
