Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the city that changes the world.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Peers Rose with three things you need to know for
your Wednesday, Rose, what you got for us?

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Staff and community members are calling for more testing for
mold at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandra. There's a big
mold problem that was discovered in the band room last
month during the Marching band camp and that led to
a major cleanup. Now afterward the school was a cleared
safe to occupy, but parents and teachers believe the issue
is widespread and affecting.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
The health of students.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
So community group wants the school system, the superintendent actually
to act on the problem. So hopefully that gets.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Neared up, because that's not not at all school system.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
So the National Archives is about to give the public
a chance to see the entire US Constitution for the
first time. So the Archive announced yesterday that it will
display all four pages of the original Constitution, plus a
less well known fifth page, signed by George Washington, that
instructs states on how they should implement the documents. The
display will also include the original four page Bill of Rights,

(01:03):
which contains the first ten amendments to the Constitution, alongside
every amendment ratified since seventeen eighty nine, So this is
a really cool opportunity to see some history. The display
opens next Tuesday as part of the celebration of America's
two hundred and fiftieth anniversary. And so I thought of
you and your aunt when I saw this National Mall
of Pickleball is making its way back to DC. Baby,

(01:25):
it's for the third year, so pickleball enthusiasts are invited
to one battle it out or just watch what's going on.
It's Friday, September nineteenth through Sunday, September twenty first, and
it's happening on Twelfth Street on the National Mall, adjacent
to the Smithsonian Metro. Now there are courts that you
can reserve to play on, and this year's events will
also have on site pickleball lessons, clinics. There's going to

(01:49):
be tournaments and many tournaments, and there will be courts
available for walk on play, but that's more of like
a first come, first serve basis, and you probably want
to go ahead and reserve re court if you were
interested in playing. Those are the three things you need
to know for the day.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Rose.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
You're welcome.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Listen.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
We live in a great time, I know, Apple has
had the big announcement yesterday, which some of this stuff
is actually pretty cool, like the the air pods now
will allegedly translate other languages in real time, which is cool.
The problem is, though, you still need to know what
to say back like that.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Like I mean, can on conversations talk about you.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
I believe to the the current set people can use
also as like hearing aids was just like that speakle
but I would say this is much better. There is
now coming to the world sunscreen flavored ice cream. Baby.
If you ever wondered what's better than the sun in
ice cream combined the two sunscreen ice cream for sure.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Will say some sunscreen does smell. It's just like coconut.
It smells like a pinut Coladas.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Absolutely so Carnival Cruise Line, because why wouldn't they be
the ones to do it. They've had a good run
the last couple of years, Poop Cruise and a lot
of stuff they've teamed up with Van Lewin. I think
that's how you say. It's it's like one of those
very high end like a fancy ice cream. Yeah, and
they went viral a couple of years ago because they
did the Kraft Mac and cheese ice cream. So I
believe we tried and it was one of those things

(03:14):
where it just didn't really quite work.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
I mean, I mean, it doesn't sound good to me.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yeah. I think it's because your brain isn't expecting it,
if that makes sense, and then your brain's like this
doesn't We should probably throw this up because it doesn't
quite make sense. So, uh, they're proud to announce the
very first sunscreamplavored ice cream.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
I don't know why we would need it.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Well, here's the thing, Sauce. I mean, we didn't know
we needed planes until we had them thinking about that. Yeah,
you know what I mean, we need modern medicine until
we had it. So maybe this is a billion dollar idea.
So I'm they're saying they're gonna have it on the cruises. Again,
I don't know why. Why are we for money making that?
I think maybe, like, hey, that Netflix documentary didn't make

(03:55):
us look good. What can we do get the smoke
off of us? Should we fix our policies? No, No,
we'll put sunscreen.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
The ice cream. We'll make sunscreen ice cream.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Okaybe we need to talk to one of the brick
and mortars that are in d C because I'm looking
there's like seven of them or almost eight of that,
and see if they can get some ice cream for
us to try.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Well, they've again they I know they brought in the
mac and cheese one. I guess they did a deal
with Hidden Valley Ranch. We'll go out to you about
that one. I think it would be a little bit
more difficult down and that, so perhaps No, yesterday we
talked about KFC as jelly beans.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yeah next year though, and now yeah that's true. Wait, yeah,
but we can have this beforehand.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
That could really hold us over until we get the
KFC Jilly.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
It might it might work.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
And here I was thinking it's going to be a
bad day. Yeah, you know, thank you Carnival Cruz for
looking out. It's a hate turned Johnny Morning to intern.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
John in your morning show. That's true at iHeartRadio.
