From the City that changes the world, Peers Rose with
three things you need.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
To know for your Friday? Rose what you got for us? So?

Speaker 1 (00:08):
The turtle statue from the Chesapeake Children's Museum in Annapolis
has been stolen? What is wrong with people? So the
turtle was stolen from the museum and they say it
happened between five thirty pm on September twenty six and
ten am on October eighth. I have questions, how is
that the range? What took you so long.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
To figure that out? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
They're asking with anyone with information to please let them know.
And if you stole the statue, was wrong with you?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah? And where would you put it? Where do you
put a turtle stack? I mean, can you brag about that? No?

Speaker 1 (00:45):
No, people will be like what you storm children?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
So Metros letting customers know about upcoming station closures. They
posted a mapp on their social media yesterday there showed
several plan closures. In the beginning is going to be
uh shutting down the red line between Union Station and
Rhode Island app on October eighteenth and nineteen. So that's
the one that you're gonna have to pay attention to.
First and everything else after that. It's like early December,
kind of like winter. Make sure you know what you're

(01:10):
getting into when you're traveling on the Metro because they
will be closing things and while the government shutdowns continue,
TGI Fridays and other chain restaurants are offering federal workers
a break with some free food, which is really nice.
Oh yeah, So over the next two week, TGI Fridays
is giving away one free meal per day to TSA
and air traffic Control workers at any US location, even

(01:31):
those inside the airports, which is really nice because those
agents and workers are not getting paid while they're working
and the government is shut down, so at least they
can enjoy a nice hot meal. They have a curated
menu for workers to choose from. It's one time a
day through October twenty third, or sooner if the shutdown
ends before that hopefully. Obviously you have to have a

(01:52):
valid employee bad. That's not the only chain, obviously, it's
We've seen deals all over The DMB Heart Rock Cafe
in Washington, DC has drink deals, appetizers and lunch specials
and I know.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Hide social Hi half balls as well.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah yeah, So make sure you take advantage of those.
I'm Rose. Those are the three things show for today.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Thank you Rose, You're welcome. We are just over two
months away our DC jingle Ball presented by Capital One
December sixteenth, Capital One Arena. The lineup is massive in
star power. It's massive in the number of artists. Alex Warren,
A j R. Zara Larsen, Shine Down, Nelly, Jelly Roll

(02:32):
and more. We are basically a teetering on sellout. It's
gonna sell out soon. My advice is get your tickets
as soon as it can be gause. Once it sells out,
you have the mercy of the scopers, which means there
is no mercy shown whatsoever. So Yeah, and it's perfect
for kids, perfect for a girls' night for bring your parents,

(02:52):
whoever you want to bring everybody. Yeah, it's best hot
ninety nine to five dot com slash jingle Ball. To
get your tickets. This is my worst nightmare. There's a
woman in Michigan who set a phone call she thought
was a scam turned out to be an important step
along the road for her winning one million dollars from
the lottery.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Why what do you mean?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, and I don't answer calls that I know, let
alone calls that I don't know ever, so yeah, i'd
be out of luck. Because her name is Valerie, She's
sixty five years old. To lottery officials, she'd been using
a lottery app to scan her non winning tickets, not
realizing that by doing so, she was earning entries into
a second giveaway chance, which I didn't know. That'ss for Michigan.

(03:34):
I don't know if other states do that, so I
don't want to speak out of terms. So why I
saw an incoming call from the Michigan Lottery one day,
I was hesitant to answer. I assumed it was a scam.
I ended up answering to see what it was about.
I was shocked to find out I was chosen as
a contestant the one million dollar electric giveaway. So then, yeah,
she might have spent a wheel September nineteenth at ca

(03:54):
America Park, where the Tigers play baseball. Said she was
nervous as the wheel spinach couldn't believe it when the
one last click and landed on her color, and then
she won a million dollars.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
That is crazy.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
I would miss it for sure, guarantee.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
They would have to call you twice. John where is
the way that you would get it to.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Begin with, yeah too, because my phone's always on a SERB. Yeah,
but that's like where we get the email from, like, hey, won,
I would never if at the end of my life
the lord says, hey, do you want to see some
funny and it'swer real of like all the times I
could have won millions of dollars like now, I'm okay,
I would.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I think at that point I would because it's like
I'm already here, like why not? Yeah, But that's just
I mean, you know, it would be so frustrating because
it's like how many clothes calls were there or how
many did you miss?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Like yeah, especially with all the AI stuff too, like
AI videos recently, I have had like really squint and
be like I don't think that one.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
They are getting like way crazy. I think I've seen
no less than fifty AI video reels from my friends
because of that new Sora app or whatever.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Oh yeah, like I can't it's too much. There's been
some hockey ones where the guys score goals and then
do a six seven celebration. I'm like, that's where nobody
laid them out, because usually that's like the code for
like hockey is to not do that, and they go, okay,
I almost pulled my parents and like it's a.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah, I've had to correct I've I've looked at videos
before where it looked like this dog jumped in a
pool and saved a baby, and at first I was
like whoa, And then I watched it and I was like,
that's literally impossible.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I saw one of a cat get picked up by
a tornado and then fall on his feet perfectly my own.
I saw a cat writing a wolf. Well, that probably
is real. That's probably really what I was like, Wow,
this is my cat, my brethren. So more of the
storry with the lottery calls, you know, answer it, perhaps
the answer, give us some please. It's intern Johnny Morning
Show with DC Jingab artist Alex Warren on Now Intern.
