one of who like everything One's going to do one.
An NBA player and coach were charged in a massive
illegal gambling case involving the mafia. Oh boy, so, the
FBI announced it more than thirty people were taken into
custody across eleven states in two separate investigations. So Portland

(00:28):
Trailblazers coach Cheulsea Billips and Miami Heat player Terry Roser
were arrested yesterday as part of this nationwide sweep involving
illegal sports betting and organized crime. And Roaser was arrested
in Orlando in connection with a sports betting ring that
allegedly involved NBA players faking injuries. Yeah crazy crazy, And
Billips was arrested in Portland as part of a different

(00:50):
case involving illegal high stakes poker games run by organized crime.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Figures, which that one was wild because the guess the
mafia had X ray tables in these poke games so
they could see the hands of people playing.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Movie. Yeah, didn't know the mafia still doing the things.
They really X ray glasses.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
They could take the image so they would like a
live video. They could hit or hey, bail like they Yeah,
it's crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Now. The NBA has not commented yet on the arrest,
but both were.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Placed on immediately from their teams. Obviously, I will.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Keep you updated because I saw this and I was like, So,
a final hearing on a bill that would lift a
nearly thirty year ban on pit bulls in PG Counties
only weeks away. So if the measure makes it through
the November eighteenth hearing in passes, the band would be repealed,
but tighter leash laws would also take hold and finds
for dog bites would be increased. Supporters of the Beilisa

(01:46):
studies have repeatedly shown that human behavior is far more
influential in dog bite incidents than breed. Now, PG County
is the only jurisdiction in the DMV still holding on.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
To a pit bull ban. I will keep you updated.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
And this is really awesome. A blind dcan is hailing
her AI glasses as life changing. Her name is Chrishelle Brown.
She's been legally blind since birth. But is able to
see shadows. So she uses the glasses and a free
app called be My Eyes to help with everyday tasks
like writing the metro, shopping for groceries, reading menu, stuff
like that. So she uses a voice command to ask
the like AI about what's in front of her, and

(02:19):
the assistants voice responds with detail. So she says that
the glasses really help enhance her independence. She's also teaching
a free clinic on how to use them every month
at Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind and Silver Spress Quatres.
Very very cool and if you've never heard of the
b My Eyes app, it is amazing.
