National Guards to Washington ten d C. Was unlawful and
a ruling issued yesterday, the judge said the deployment violated
the home rule power granted to DC and that ruling
temporarily blocks the administration from deploying troops to crack down
on crime without the DC mayor's approval.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
However, the judge paused ruling.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Until December eleventh in order to give the administration a
chance to appeal.

two hundred and fifty birthday of the.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
United States, which makes sense.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
So The official artwork for the festival is titled America
in Bloom.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
It features butterflies and.

Blossoms flying around the Washington Monument, which sounds amazing. The

And Amazon is offering extended returns for the holidays. Jesus goodness,
so they're expanding the return window to January thirty first,
twenty twenty six on most items bought.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
From now until the end of the year. So there
are some fine print.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Twists that you might want to read up on, but
it's like Apple.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Products need to go back on the fifteenth.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
There's certain things that are non returnable unless they show
up damage.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
That includes like perishable items.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Obviously custom items, final sale goods, stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
And Amazon isn't alone either.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Best By, Macy's, Target, and Walmart are all rolling out
extended holiday return windows, most stretching into mid to late January,
which is pretty nice because those return lines are always crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
I'm rose. Those are the three things e to know
for the day.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Thank you ros, You're welcomed.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
They did a whole about Thanksgiving, which is crazy. It's
next Thursday. Yeah, that's nice.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
Six days.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Yeah, that's kind of wild. What makes hosting that your
place the best spot to host Thanksgiving? According to the results,
Having an outdoor space.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Yes, so you can get away.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
It Also it's really hot, depending on how your home
is set.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Up for sure. Yeah, the other stuffy.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
And they also say it's good so the kids can
run around and do that thing. I do think that
is good for sure. At least one extra bathroom, yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Because you don't want to have only one bathroom people
fighting over it.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Also, yesterday I got home and I had no water,
which is really exciting. That's a fun little I guess
like around the neighborhood. Apparently a water main broke. But
it's like, oh that's not ideal. No, Like I'm like, oh,
I can't flush toilet, can't try to sink on, can't
take a shower, can't do anything.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Is very exciting.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
We'll talking about the extra bathroom saying in general, because
they're saying that if you only have one and then
something happens to it, everybody's kind of out of luck.
And make sure use it. And that's always the fun thing.
But hosting nobody tells when it breaks.

Speaker 6 (02:51):
No, no, they don't and then all of a sudden
you don't have a plunger that works.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Yeah, that's the joy about my Christmas party is like, okay,
so if he breaks.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
On there, rather you just.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Tell me, yeah, the band aid first of me finding
out next morning or whenever. Yeah. A big dining room.

Speaker 6 (03:05):
Yeah, that's helpful when it's all cramped and smaller you're
like why am I here?

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Yeah, Or if it's like a bunch of TV trays
and then this like the tables are uneven. It's just
kind of like that kind of vibe. A big living room, yes, okay,
I think that's fair. And then the last one's a
big kitchen.

Speaker 6 (03:20):
I think so because if there's especially people helping you
in the kitchen and then everybody's ramming into each other.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Oh yeah, great, well, they say ninety two percent of
people say and make them more willing to host if
they had the big kitchen.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
That makes sense.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
Yeah, I would say, so, I say the hell out
of the kitchen. I do.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I do.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Yeah, I mean I'm not I know, I'm not I'm
not needed there, I'm not helpful there. I'd rather not
be there at all, just because I don't want.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
To get in the way.

Speaker 5 (03:42):
You don't want to get away, yeah, or get burned.

Speaker 6 (03:44):
That's why I'm worried about going to North Carolina to
see my grandma for Thanksgiving if I do go, because
I know she'll want me to help in the kitchen
and I'm not the one.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
What I don't mean this in the mean way? What
would you help with? Because you aren't known from your
culinary you'll understand every time. Like when I was a kid,
she'd always give me a tap and I'm like.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Hey, you do though.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
I just counted the pictures in this house to make
sure I'm still ahead.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Yeah, so if young know that's not a juke sauce,
make sure there's more photos of her up anybody else.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Okay, but that makes sense.

Speaker 6 (04:12):
I'm the oldest granddaughter by a lot, a grandchild in general,
by a lot.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
Why would there be more of anyone else?

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I agree. I did the same. I got my parents
house because my sister in law thinks she's sneaky. I'm like, hey, listen, ma'am,
listen to what Like there's a bunch of photos of
my brother and her.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I'm like, I'm the star of the family.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Brother, Do you realize that your nephew is now going
to be the star of the family and you have to.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Kind Yeah, I'll be honest, like, right now he's had
no competition, but we haven't on this personality yet. If
that kid's not superior, I'm gonna godfather.

Speaker 6 (04:43):
I feel like little baby Jack will be. His mom
is a doctor.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Yeah, I like a cool personality though. Okay, I mean
if he hasn't passed the vibe.

Speaker 5 (04:50):
Check, yep, might he's out. You're like, actually rescinding my
offer to be your your gdfather.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
It's a trial phase right now, absolutely, and we'll see
if we upgrade to the full package.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
But this odd on you this weekend.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Play it back, hey Jack, this is why I decided
I couldn't do it like I was where you'd be
a loser.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
That Jack has a major blowout while you were holding him.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
That'd be example of not being a cool kid. Yeah,
up all over that weekend. I'm like, that's that's a
no go.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
He's like, Oh, you want to reskind your offer.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
And ask your table so that a sibling and I'm like,
that's that's the way way. So we'll say, you know,
it's his it's the balls his corn.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
Yeah, I mean totally.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I get that she's gonna be a dumb kid to
bring it out.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
