Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the City that changes the World Pears Rose with
three things you need to know for your Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Rose you got for us.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
So residents in and around Bethesda are being told to
pay close attention to their surroundings even when you're walking
out of your front door, because a black bear was
spotted wandering through the community over the weekend. It's been
visiting people's backyards strolling onto their porches. This sighting follows
others on Memorial Day in Langley Park when that bear
was spotted, tranquilized and then relocated to a wildlife management area.

(00:34):
So if you spot a bear, just let the Department
of Natural Resources know so they can relocate it. So
wildfires burning in Canada could make the sky in the
DMV look hazy or milky. The highest smoke concentration is
going to occur today and the smoke is forecast to
stay high enough in the air that it will cause

(00:55):
minimal impact on air quality.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Those levels are expected.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
To range from good to over the next few days,
so it shouldn't cause issues, but make sure you keep
an eye on the air quality if you do have
respiratory issues, because they will go to a Code orange,
which is limited outdoor activity. So you might also notice
more called colorful sunrises and sunsets with the smoke in
the sky.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
And by the end of the week, this smoke should
be moving away from the area. But I want to
let you know if you see that.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
And one dad is on a mission to help children
with cancer one mountain at a time.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
So his name is Len Forcus.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
He's a tech entrepreneur and founder of a nonprofit called Hopecam,
which is really awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
He has successfully climbed.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Mount Everest and what's is each leg of his Everest
climb was dedicated to a child battling cancer, with their
photo and stories carried in his pack. So Len launched
Hopecam after his son's leukemia diagnosis in two thousand and three,
aiming to connect young cancer patients with their peers to
combat isolation. It's a really awesome organization. Definitely look it up.

(01:57):
But with his success at everesth he's lead the seventh Summits,
so he's reached the highest peak of the highest peak
of each.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
Of seven continents.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
So awesome, all seven continents, the highest mount he climbed.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
All of them. He's the fifth oldest person in the
world to achieve that.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
That's awesome, so very.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Cool, and such a very like awesome cause I'm Rose.
Those are the three things you need to know for
the day.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Thank you, Ros.

Speaker 6 (02:22):

a million dollars our million dollar summer brought to you
by a Zori Law.

code opens is safe. If you do that, you win
a million dollars. If you need a lawyer, Zori Laws

brother as I sometimes it's we're calling him little.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
And we're really that you just had little money.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Yeah, but anyway, because I sent him a photo because
like two years ago we did his bachelor party in
New Orleans. It was three years ago. It doesn't matter anyway.
But Tommy sent me a text because he his wife
is pregnant with the baby pretty sure his so I
send a photo and he goes he send me back photoes. Also,
I'll keep you in the loop about your nephew and
niece being born. I was like and born. I was like,

(03:12):

Speaker 1 (03:13):
That just seems like something he would say because you
guys have like you guys are like close.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
But it's just like, that's how you guys talk to
each other.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
That's what brothers do though, that's how dudes.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Talk about I was just saying, that's how you guys talk.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
It's just so funny where it's like, I'll keep you
in the loop as if you don't crazy on Tyleen
will Yeah. I like the way he said him, like
he'll text me. Oh, by the way, they're born two
weeks ago. Yeah, all right, listen, I already know I'm
gonna be the cool uncle.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Do you think it's going to be.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
I think probably a boy.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
I think it's gonna be a boy.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah, I'll be the cool uncle for sure. So you
don't know that's crazy? Yeah, at least they're saying they
don't know, but I'm pretty.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Sure I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, I think that's cool.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
That's exciting.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Are you the only uncle or does sister all?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Yeah, she is.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
I don't know how much she has. I think she
has like three brothers maybe or two something like that.
They're already oh yeah, it's not even close. And no
offense to those guys. They san chans like what I mean, like, yeah,
I'm definitely going to be cooler. So but there due
sometime in July.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 6 (04:19):
Yeah, there's j Yeah. So we paid a time and
then I saw this yesterday. Gave me nightmares. We talked
about the Found Destination that the new one came out
like two weeks ago. There was that woman in a
theater who was washing it in the roof collapse, which
is crazy, kind of crazy.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
But remember last Tuesday we were saying it was like
a Found Destination day because like the the you got
on the hit and run when you came to help
me with the fire. But then just like weird stuff
kept happening when I was driving all day that I
literally just like locked myself.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
In my apartment.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah. Yeah, the vibes are off.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
The vibes were not great.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
Fourteen million bees escape after the truck overturns in Washington State.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
What are the bees for? Honey?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Yes, okay, yes? Or the alphabet thank you?

Speaker 6 (05:01):
The hives came off the truck shortly after nine am,
which freed the bees. The incident happened, first of all,
happened on West Badger Road, which fantastic authorities to the
public should avoid the area and see at least six
hundred feet away. Yeah, they said, while there's no general
health race to the public, anyone as allergic to bee
stings or has concerns, ye say away obviously.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
So more than two dozen bee keepers came to assist
the rescue. The sheriffs of the goals say as many
bees as possible this time, they say, the on the
scene work is done. High boxes and over a turn
truck were restored.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
YadA, YadA.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
Initially, officials said that some two hundred and fifty million
bees had escaped. My god, which that's a little more
than fourteen million, But then they had to post as
nerds are online saying that's not that many.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Could be that many bees?

Speaker 6 (05:52):
He said, thanks to all those who challenged the math
and help us get closer to the true number, which
is basically saying, hey, we have bigger fish to fry.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
I didn't want to like, actually, we were just like
giving putting a big number out there just so that
you're actually staying away.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
And we lost count of the first five million by hand.
And but thank you to whoever it was like Actually,
and when when being that many, how.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Does that work though, so obviously there are different B colonies.
Do they just go automatically to their colonies?

Speaker 6 (06:18):
Yes, okay, I think based on the pheromones, I believe
that sick. Yeah, these are so cool, they are interesting. Yeah,
I'm fairly certain that's how it goes, as they roughly,
it's kind of go there. We know, like a bunch
of like celebs. Our friend personal friend of the show,
Charlie Pooth, he has like a B colony at his
place in New Jersey. Oh really yeah, he does, like
four yeah. And then a personal friend, doctor Rozzi, does

(06:40):
it too.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
No, but your friend Fallon used.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
To Yeah, Max girlfriend's family does it too. Okay, sounds
like pretty good stuff. But doctor Rozzie used to send
us a honeyback the day. I remember that, Yeah, which
was pretty cool. So you got friend Washington State, watch
out for the somewhere between fourteen to two hundred and
fifty million bees.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Two hundred and fifty million.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
Bees, Tiby Ferret, I tell you at that point you
pull siren somewhere.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
Yeah, that's just sounds like a wall of these.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (07:01):
That does sound like the world's gonna end. Yeah, So
if you want to see the photos. It is kind
of crazy pumping the socials at Ymus
