Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the city that changes the world, peers Rose with
three things you need.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
To know for your Tuesday. Rose, you got for us.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
So, the Trump administration clarified yesterday that Elon Musk's email order,
which was telling federal employees to send a bullet point
list of five things accomplished last week or risk getting fired,
was voluntary. So the Office of Personal Management, after receiving
widespread backlash and pushback even from federal agencies, issued to
memo saying that responding to it is voluntary and quote

(00:32):
a non response to the email does not equate to
a resignation now.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Later in the evening.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Musk tweeted, subject to the discretion of the President, federal
workers who did not respond to the checking email, we'll
get another chance to respond, and added failure to do
so would result in being fired.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
It's still very confusing.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yeah, so sounds like it.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
I guess it's voluntary, but I'll keep you updated once
I hear Mark.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
So.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
The Loudon County Shriff's office has seized one point four
million dollars in cryptocurrency tied to an investigators call a
pig butchering scam. So Sheriff Mike Chapman said the scam
began with the victims receiving a text message from someone
that they didn't know but wound up befriending, and the
scammer talked the victim into investing in cryptocurrency through a

(01:21):
site that that scammer controlled, and when the victim tried
to withdraw money, they were told that a large tax
would have.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
To be paid in advance. Not great.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
So the Sheriff's office says, anyone who gets an investment
related text messages from an unknown source should.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Be very cautious, do not sure, do not invest.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
And I thought this was really awesome, SA said the
story to us. There's a Maryland based nonprofit that opened
a free bookstore in Dundas. All Kids, So Our Kids
Read is behind the free Children's bookstore and Literacary Literacy
Hub inside East Point Mall. The store holds thousands of
donated books and not only is it a place for

(01:59):
children and to get free books, but children will also
be given a chance to sign up for free virtual
evening reading Buddy programs, which I'm like, that is.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Just super sweet.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
So the goal is, like I said, more than just
giving out free books. It's to improve literacy levels in
the Baltimore area. So Our Kids Read is open Friday
through Sunday at East.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Point mal in Dundalk.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
And if you want to support putting books directly into
the hands of the youth, you can.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Make a gift.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
And I'm going to put this information of how you
can donate YMS radio dot com. But I was like,
that's just so, that's so nice you send me alexa.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
So when my Alexa starts my day, it tells me
the good news of the day. And that was the
good news of the day, which I was like, Baltimore, Maryland,
what we're.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Doing it my teeth like sick. I love that I
wrote those are the three things you need to know
for the day. Thank you, You're welcome.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
A major news for your boy yesterday for you.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
Yeah, remember I couldn't find my key get in the
building yesterday, went home, searched my house, couldn't find anywhere.
Some silly goose poundering eat the seat of my car.
Can you believe it? So you don't know some some
silly goose is rando the sea of the cars.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Would you looked there yesterday when you were waiting?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
I think it did pretty sure remember doing it.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
So question, do you have like a backpack that you
put in your back.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
Seat on the way to work, Yeah, by bringing inside
the after after that work.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Is it possible that like it fell out of your
backpack and then slewed underneath your seat.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
So here's the thing, did you put it?

Speaker 1 (03:30):
No?

Speaker 5 (03:31):
So, like I think it's habit because we used to
have to key into the parking like you said, you
set the key into like the arm, like the parking arm,
and then key into the garage, then key into the elevator,
then key the elevator. But now you don't have to
key in to get to the parking arm anymore, although
that's copparently gonna change.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
So I think they have it.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Always have it out after work when I don't need it,
And then this is I put in my pocket and
then stand remember and take it out of my pocket.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
And I just always put it before we leave since
you don't have to like key out right now, I
always just put in the front of my book bay
or I put in my cup holder.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
I've never had more means of unlocking doors to get
into a building than I have in this building.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
I know you need to have your phone yeah, you
have badges.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
You know, it's a license plate, it's legitimately and.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I don't have a front license plate still, so I
was like, Okay.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
This is like the real life version of the like
two factor authentication.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Yeah, just yes, Yeah, we're the only ones. Yeah, it's insane.
Nobody else is trying again, I promise you.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Like, what are they worried about? People taking?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Well?

Speaker 4 (04:31):
