Thousands of cases of apples and other fruit and vegetables
have been recalled after they were possibly contaminated by hydraulic
fluid from a reach truck. So the FDA gate gave
this recall a Class two risk warning on Thursday, which
is the second highest risk level. So this means that
the products could cause temporary health problems, but serious issues
are unlikely. So this recall affects two hundred and thirteen
(00:31):
cases of a lot of different products, including various types
of apples like Red Delicious, Gala, and Honeycriss, also carrots, corn, cucumbers, lemons,
and a lot of leafy greens. Now I'm telling you
this specifically because those cases were sent to stores in
Maryland and Washington, DC. So I have the list up
for you why miss radio dot com so you can
go through. It has all the information. I'm not going
(00:53):
to list it because it is a lot of information,
but why.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Miss radio dot Com for that.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
So, Virginia Task.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Force one was activated and took a search and rescue
team from Fairfax and Montgomery Counties to Texas to.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
Help after the disastrous floods.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
So the team includes three search dogs that are capable
of detecting people who may be buried under debris. So
they left on Friday evening. They got there super early
on Saturday, but yesterday's search and rescue efforts were suspended
after a forecast called for a significant rain which could
possibly lead to the river surging again.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
And flash flood.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Warnings for multiple Central Texas counties. Some local residents were
advised to evacuate before Sunday afternoon. At least one hundred
and thirty two people have died and more than one
hundred and seventy are still missing, so I will keep
you updated.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
And this kind of cool.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Former Washington National general manager Mike Rizzo is offering fans
of free beer ahead of times.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Also home run Derby, which I thought was pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
So if you head to the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern
or Walter's Sports Bar, you can take advantage of the
offers between five and seven pm. And there was a
social media post from the Rizzo Family Foundation that said
the offer is away to thank.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
Fans for their for during his nineteen years with the team.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Risseau was fired from his post as president and general
manager of the Nationals earlier this month.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
So go get to free beer. I'm rose. Those are
the three things you need to know for today, heroes.
You're welcome.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
I saw this trending to This woman in Maryland won
fifty thousand dollars at the lottery thanks to a friend's tip,
which got me thinking, d oh, the friend money. So
the PG County woman till Marion Laudry officials. She mainly
plays daily pick games occasionally buy his scrash Shoff tickets.
So her friend urged her to buy one of the
newest scrash Shoft tickets from this store in Baltimore. So
(02:32):
she did the five cash blast tickets. She said. He
watches the prizes remaining. He knew all the top prizes
were available. I'm so glad I listened to him.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
She couldn't sleep after discovering one of her tickets. It
was a fifty thousand dollars winner. Says her stomach was
a nod. She felt sober joyed she sent a screenshot
to her friend and let him know. I guess when
she went and claimed her prize, a friend came with.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
So I'm sure she gave him some, right, I would hope.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
So, yeah, I went with her.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
She's telling him about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I hope
she did.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
But it's one of those things where it's like he
could have bought the ticket too.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Maybe he did. We don't know. I don't know, Like
that's I'm gonna assume he did if he's urging her to.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
He said, I always tell her to try and get
the new ones. You always have a better chance to
finding the bigger prizes. I don't know if that's true, Okay,
but uh yeah, I'm trying to think if I told
one if I give one you a hot tip, and
it happened to work, I don't know if I would
expect anything, because obviously, if I was that smart, i'd
be winning all the time.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
I would give you something, but I'm not going to
like get your half like a finder's feet.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah, so let's say after taxes, let's just say it's
forty thousand. This would be safe numbers, saus how much
a thousand you give one thousand dollars? Okay, Rose, how
much would you give somebody that gave you the tip?
Speaker 4 (03:44):
I won forty thousand, yeah, but.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
One thousand dollars after taxes.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
Or second after the taxes. I'd probably give you.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
It depends on how good a friend you are. Between
one and five thousand, I think.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
That's probably fair. Probably, I think a thousands probably fair.
And they're all kind.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Of fairly excited if I got one thousand dollars, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Just won the lottery. It is free money.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah, yeah, for sure A dollar dollars that's a good amount.
I think.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
I think it's a decent.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
It's also one of those things, right, I wouldn't want
people know how much I won.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
I probably tell anybody, though, I'd be like.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
But I do you think like fifty thousand to me,
seems like the best amount to win, because is it
gonna change your life? For sure? Is it enough for
your bawling? You can change your lifestyle? Probably not. So
like people can't relate it like a million dollars to
people like, hey, I need to get some cash from
you at least so they seem like, hey, we have
forty thousand dollars taxes that went to bills, and like
time we paid this and this stuff, we only had
(04:32):
a couple of thousand dollars left, so the money's gone.
As if it's a million dollars, like the way the
money's gone exactly. Yeah, I mean not that everyone fifty
thousand dollars, no, be neat.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
I would not. Perhaps one day I have to play
the lottery though, Yeah, where.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Is that idea? Every day of working with you too, Oh,
thank you, waiting for it
Speaker 1 (04:48):
To hit Yeah, intern in your morning show at iHeartRadio,
