help residents deal with expected high temperature. So The National
Weather Service expects the high today to be around ninety
humidity August is going to make it feel a little
bit hotter, but cooling centers will be open throughout the
city and officials are asking residents stay hydrated, take breaks
if you're working outdoors. The heat warning is set to
expire eight am tomorrow, but that could be extended if
(00:30):
it needs to. Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin announced the deployment
two Virginia Type three swift water rescue teams to assist
with the fatal flash flood recovery efforts in Texas. So
the Bristol and Virginia Beach Teams will head too Kirk County,
Texas today to aid in water rescue operations and support
local responders. If you have not seen, as of last night,

the death toll in the text flooding is up to
eighty two. On Friday, there was a storm that dumped
ten inches of rain and Kirk County, causing the Guadalupe
River to surged suddenly up to twenty six feet above normal.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Awful.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
I've seen so many time laps, videos of even thirty minutes,
and it's just like roads are gone.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
It is insane. I read a report it was like
fifteen feet in an hour. And one of the most
devastating parts is among the victims where twenty seven children
at a girls camp in the area. Ten campers ages
twelve to sixteen are still missing. Absolutely heartbreaking. So President
Trump has issued a disaster declaration which is going to
(01:29):
expedite help from FEMA. There also is the Community Foundation
of the Texas Hill County has launched the Kerr County
Flood Relief fun if you are looking to donate somewhere,
and Fairfax County schools are offering free mental health consults
this summer, so until August first, Fairfax County parents and
middle and high school students can sign up their forty
five minute virtual meetings with school social workers and psychologists
(01:53):
and it's offered. It's been offered for twenty years and
over the four weeks they help an average of three
hundred and fifty to four hundred students and parents combined.
So if your interested, appointments are available from nine to
four pm. So for parents, they are offering like guidance
on how to support the children's social, emotional and academic
success and then provide resources. And for students in middle
(02:14):
and high school they can receive guidance and support concerning anxiety,
mood behavior, peer family interaction, stuff like that, which I
think is really cool. I'm ros.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
Those are the three things you need to know for
the day. Thank your os, You're welcome. I also forgot
to mention it is National Nude Recreation Week, which is
very exciting and just nick of time. Classiest city in
the Union in Pittsburgh they're having their Balls up bowling.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Nice back for another.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Year, thank goodness.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Yeah, we're just talking about that balls right now. So
the Pittsburgh Area Naturalists they are hosting another balls out
bowling events where you can bowl in the nude. Cool,
because I think all of us have blocked into a
bowling alley and thought, you want it would be better
no clothes here. Yeah, this place smells Clayton.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Absolutely for the people who enjoy that sort of thing,
I think that cool.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Cool for them. Absolutely, that's gonna be I held this weekend,
the twelfth. The events for anyone over the age of eighteen,
whether you're a season pro or a beginner. The event
is for everyone, so there is that.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
I'm hoping they have signs on the door. I think
they probably letting people know, like, yay, prior to you
coming in here, there will be some nudity.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Nudity in this area. Are they saying tickets are thirty bucks?
You gotta pay thirty bucks whether you bowl or not. Yeah,
because you know, otherwise dudes would be like, oh, let's
just go watch. Yeah, we pay for it.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
I mean, why would you go watch though, because you're.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Gonna Doe's mind you thinking you're naked girls bowling.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
I thought it was just for guys.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
No, it's for anybody in general. Oh yeah yeah. They
say nudy is required the exception women can wear bottoms okay,
also a doll activity is permitted. It is not permitted.
I was like, there's no way. Yeah, so me. They
say violators will be asked to leave no photography or video.
I hope you wouldn't do that. But being the bowling kid,
(04:04):
this's got cleaned the seats after that event. But to
come on. Yeah, you're like, I want to do that.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Maybe like they the people that put on, they have
like a deal with they clean it. I would help,
so I would think they do, because it's not like
a very normal thing to be naked bowling.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
No, it's not.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
And this is just like a regular bowling alley, not
like a bowling alley in a nudist colony because I
or just residency area. I don't know what they call
them anymore, but like I've okay, I had a sociology
class and we took a field trip to a nudist
colony and they had like their own pickleball courts or
tennis courts, and they have like their own like community.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
I just feel like the view of somebody bowling is
not the best. When you're watching them bowl, you're gonna
see things you probably don't.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
They're pretty dim though usually that's.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
True unless's cost bowling, and then we'll see what lights up,
you know, what a tree. If you want more, put
on the socials at YMS Radio.
