DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has issued a heat alert to
help residents deal with expected high temperature. So The National
Weather Service expects the high today to be around ninety
humidity August is going to make it feel a little
bit hotter, but cooling centers will be open throughout the
city and officials are asking residents stay hydrated, take breaks
if you're working outdoors. The heat warning is set to
expire eight am tomorrow, but that could be extended if

expedite help from FEMA. There also is the Community Foundation
of the Texas Hill County has launched the Kerr County
Flood Relief fun if you are looking to donate somewhere,
and Fairfax County schools are offering free mental health consults
this summer, so until August first, Fairfax County parents and
middle and high school students can sign up their forty
five minute virtual meetings with school social workers and psychologists

and it's offered. It's been offered for twenty years and
over the four weeks they help an average of three
hundred and fifty to four hundred students and parents combined.
So if your interested, appointments are available from nine to
four pm. So for parents, they are offering like guidance
on how to support the children's social, emotional and academic
success and then provide resources. And for students in middle

and high school they can receive guidance and support concerning anxiety,
mood behavior, peer family interaction, stuff like that, which I
think is really cool. I'm ros.
