three things you need to.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Know for your Wednesday, Rose you got for us.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
So wages for tipped employees are frozen at ten dollars
an hour until next summer. So that after a seven
to five vote from DC Council to partially repeal Initiative
eighty two that gradually increased the tip minimum wage this week,
so council members also voted to cap the increase to
seventy five percent of the full minimum wage. The measure
was described as a compromise to ease the financial pressure

(00:31):
that restaurants are currently facing.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
And know that affects a lot of people.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
So some teens have been arrested after doing a TikTok
challenge in Pasadena. The TikTok challenge in question was the
door kick challenge.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Oh no ya.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
So there's ring doorbell footage of this and I think
it's like three o'clock in the.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Morning when they did this.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
So imagine sleeping in your home three o'clock in the
morning someone kicks in your front door.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Not the town say I'm like, I'm sorry, that's the
last place.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
You should be doing that.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Also, just not something like in what mine, Like, are
you thinking now too? Just to let you know, thirteen
fourteen year old boys, that's who was arrested in this
Police brought in canines and tracked the suspects down. So
apparently there's a national TikTok challenge online called the door
Kick Challenge where individuals are running up to homes and

(01:27):
kicking at doors, trying to kick the door in, and
then running away and they're videotaping the incident. Not something
to do.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Please don't do that, Please, please don't do that.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
So these teens could now face charges of attempted burglary,
malicious destruction of property, or trespassing.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Again yeah, I was gonna say, like lug, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
You never know who's on the other side of the door.
Please don't do something stupid. And new rankings for the
best hospitals in the DC area are out in Nova
Fairfax is number one, MedStar Washington Hospital Center ring close
behind at number two, and then following that was BHC
Health in Arlington, Virginia at third.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
So really cool. The top five are also like the
same from last year as well, so I thought that
was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
And big big crops to the hospital's Children's National Hospital
in DC also ranked among one of the best in
the US for periatrics.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
That's really really cool. I'm Rose. Those are the three
things you need to know for the day.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Thank you, Rose, You're welcome. I know we can all
name the worst hospital in the area. It's in Montgomery County.
I'm not going to see three go because everybody knows
what it is and why man bring up everybody texts
in the nickname for it, which is so perfect, ause
that hospital sucks ass every.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Single time people texting because isn't that where you went
when you had meningitas?

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Yes, and I was the That was where they told
me like you can't have water. Yeah, it was in
the waiting room and then they couldn't find a vein
and the ladies like, you're dehydrat I go, well, yeah,
I've been in the room for three hours. And then
they put me in a hallway and then I was
waiting they did the MRI and I was like, I'm
just gonna leave. It was like I was there for
six hours and the ladies like, you can't leave. They are, yes,

(02:59):
I can, Yeah, she's what you should. And I go, well,
the doctor can just call me when he gets the results.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Just let me check. The doctor came and he goes, I'm sorry,
nobody told me you were here. I was like, what
am I doing?

Speaker 4 (03:11):
I took my own IV out. I hate needle inane.
That was because it was empty. I've been there for
three hours with empty IV I'm like, I'm going home empty.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Yes, yes, yeah, anyway, no, thank you.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Text nine nine three three eight and guess the worst
hospital in the area because I know you know it.

What's going on for your Wednesday?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Girl?

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Nothing?

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Just got out to gents to be honest about to
get ready to go to work, going to gym early.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
That's impressive. That's like very impressive. Way is it your
birthdays next week too?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
August t actually my birthday? Okay, what are we doing
for the big day? I'm debating. I don't know. I'm
going to plan my own birthday since nobody else's planning it.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
So you know, you can maybe.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Brunch, brunch, branches.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Yeah, a Sunday at tennis Sunday, so brunch, do whatever
you want to do, girl, like I usually do pizza
and Chinese food. On the actual day, Like, that's like
my fun place is that in play video games.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
If you want to go out and have fun, though,
and it's a Sunday and you have like some like
friends to go with you, could you brunch and then
just like maybe do this is kind of stupid, but
like I suggest this for my friend's birthday cause I
think it sounds fun, like a scavenger hunt, but you're
still brunching along the way a little tipsy, yes.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
A little drunk scavenger hunt. What can go wrong? I
always I've never thought about that. And I also could
have been a skating.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Room or what I can I can remember the name
on top of the capital one the mini golf. Oh yeah, yeah,
that place is cool. There's just a lot of places
to bop around.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Hell yeah, or like a tubean that'd be kind of
lazy river, I want to weather'd be a lot of fun, Yeah, Jeffer.
The options are endless. But at the end of the day,
as long as something you want to do. Yeah, like
if if all you want to do is sleep for
twenty four hours and that's your perfect birthday, yeah, do
a girl, do you deserve all the twenty four hours?

Speaker 3 (05:09):
YEO?

Speaker 2 (05:10):
I know right, and I have a nineteen year when
she could be the dB.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Oh yeah, put that absolutely, Jeffery, Yeah, Jeffrick, I get
you a coffee for listening.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Yeah, I how one second girl.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
By the way, there has been about three thousand texts
the last ten seconds. Everybody knows exactly which hospital I'm
talking about.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I like their nicknames. I had never heard of those ones.
I mean, they're a pretty good nickname, and.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
They're spot on intern John in your morning show.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
That's true.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
