So obviously, the California fires are still top of mind
for everyone.

Here's the latest information.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
So almost two hundred thousand residents of LA were under
mandatory evacuation orders yesterday. At least ten thousand structures have
been burned in the fires, that is, homes and businesses.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Just so scary.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
And two of the fires, the Palisade Fire and the
Eton Fire combined, have already burned close to thirty thousand.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Acres, which is crazy.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
So many now the death toll has risen to ten
and damaged estimates could reach one hundred and fifty billion dollars.

That's just the estimate.

So the Los Angeles Police arrested a possible arson suspect
yesterday afternoon that they are suspect in the connection to
the Kenneth fire. According to reports, residents spotted this man
trying to light a fire and then they held him
down and zip tied him until police could arrive to
take him into custody.

The entire city is burning down, like are you going

Bro And and then on top of that, at least
twenty looterers have been arrested.

But there is a glimmer of good news in this
as it was confirmed with the massive Palisades fire has
now been considered to be six percent contained, which is
it seems like but like better than zero at this point.

out yesterday and.

According to DC Public Schools, the spokesperson, families at these
eleven schools were notified of the issue and there were
working to get a handle on it. In the notes
that went home, it said they have arranged temporary heating
solutions such as space heaters or moving students to warmer spaces.
But I do not know if there is an update
on that because the reports that's all. That's all it's
