Speaker 4 (00:07):
Rose got PRIs So Amazon just announced the official dates
for Amazon Prime twenty twenty five. So the event is
going to kick off on Tuesday, July eighth and run
until Friday, July eleven. So this is the longest Amazon
Prime Day to date. It doubles its run time in
the last ten years. So you got a lot of

(00:28):
time to shop, and you can already score some early
deals for up to eighty percent off the certain items.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
So just prepare your wallets.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
For that because there's going to be a lot of
shopping happening. So Bark's Animal Shelter in Baltimore has zero
dog kennels available and they need immediate help. So they
posted an update on Instagram on Monday saying we are
in We're in a desperate situation. This past weekend alone,
nearly one hundred animals arrived at our shelter. We are

(00:56):
completely out of dog kennels. Not a single one is open.
So every available kennel and every spare office space has
been used, which is just crazy to think about. They
said they're working around the clock, but they've hit a
wall and they need help now.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
So here's how you can help. Adopt.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
They are waving adoption fees through the weekend and adoptions
include a spe renuter microchip and up to date vaccines.
You can foster, especially, they need fosters for large adult dogs.
Even if you can do a short term fostering, that's
going to save lives because it's freeing up kennel space.
You can donate, and they're also seeking rescue partners who

(01:34):
can pull dogs into their programs because the alternative is heartbreaking.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
We don't want that.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
So if you can reach out to.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Barks and help in any way that you can, because
they need.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
To help right now.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
And Montgomery County is testing out a five foot tall
security robot named Parker. Okay, it's currently patrolling the town
Square parking garage. It looks like something out of RoboCop.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
To be honest, over you stop it.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
So it's an autonomous machine. It weighs over four hundred pounds,
So do it.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
You're strong enough, Eric, we might need on.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Eric's not strong enough. Tip him over.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Eric is strong.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
If we say he's not strong enough, and he's gonna
do it.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
But he's saying you.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
We don't really want him to get in trouble because
it's equipped with three hundred and sixty degree cameras, license
plate readers, strobe lights, sirens, and infruds.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
You can't well just don't carry your license plate inside.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
But like his face, prove it.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
This is what you said about the linebackers.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Yeah, okay, go prove it. Where is it again? I
was on the Town Center. Oh yeah, that place needs
get demolished too, So I'll demo that whole area. But
I'll give you fifty dollars to go find it and
tip it right now.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Okay, right now.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Right now, if you're a police officer, go find it.
I didn't hug it, that would be I would. I
would be okay with that. I can hug it. That's better.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
You want to, but you don't say we sent you.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
But now it's the garage rose at the town Center. Say, yeah,
that's what it says.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
It's patrolling the town Square parking garage. So here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Ith shared video footage directly with police, so you're very like,
if you go and try to tip it over, a.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Police officer is going to show up, probably immediately.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Just hug it.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
The parking garage is open twenty four.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Hours, fifty hours. If you get great video of you
hugging robot, I got severe then right, Okay.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Just be careful because there is an emergency distressed. But
in that connects directly to police to say he would
go for it and like accidentally hit that button and
it would be like cops are going to be there immediately.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Anyways, I'm rost those are the three things you need
to know over the day.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
It's a eric way to the parking garage, the robot
to hug it, robots.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
That far from her.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
No, no, so I think it be great video real
quick too. Sauce great Las Vegas on scale one of ten.
I've only ever been for work, but still ten.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Okay, Rose, I'm gonna give it like a seven.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I'm more on that line. I think going for the
festival obviously it's fantastic. Yeah, festival is great. Going just
for leisure. I'm not a gambler necessarily all the time,
so that's not necessarily my vibe.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Really hot, it's very crowded, like it's there.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
It's a lot.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
I keep going as a chick is just more fun.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Well, yeah, because you get free stuff. Yeah, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Absolutely, That's why I think it's a ten.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
So this guy went viral on Reddit because he paid
for a bottle of water on the mini bar in
his room. Get a guess sauce, stupid. How much is
a bottle of water for the mini bar at the
Aria Resort and Casino.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Thirty dollars forty dollars.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Thirty I'll go forty forty rows.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
I'm gonna say like twenty five thirty dollars thirty story.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
According to his post, as an employee was restocking cleaning
out their rooms mini bar, which he noted had food
crammed in the free from two other guests. I do
hate the hotels when there's no room to actually use
the fridge. Yeah, that's one of the most annoying things
of all time. Yeah, it's just like the worst. The
worker informed the visitor that water costs twenty six dollars,
but only told them after the guests that can sum

(05:13):
the full bottle of water.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, taxes thirty.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
I will say with those hotels in Vegas, if they
have like all kinds of things available, if you remove it,
there's like a censor and it automatically charges to your room.
Even if you put it back, you're still getting charged
because it was removed.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
That's all A lot of hotels are though.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
But here's the here's the real kicker here, kids. So
the bottle was twenty six dollars without tax, right, that
was ten percent of his total bill for the room,
because the room is two hundred and sixty dollars a night.
Oh my percent of his bill was for the bile
water and the same bile water costs just seven dollars
and forty cents at the Starbucks in the lobby of
the hotel.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
That is.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
I do think like Vegas is having a really hard
time recently, because guys, it is like back in the day,
it was you go at the casino, they would camp
you that get the cheap dinner, they'd have cheap drinks.
Now it's like, okay, the rooms are expensive, the gambling
is expensive, the whole thing is expensive.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
And also whenever you land on a flight from into Vegas,
it's always just like a terrible landing.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
So the mountains and stuff I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Well, and getting the getting the taxi to the actual hotels.

Speaker 6 (06:20):
The airport, getting getting an number from the airport's very
inning in Vegas. I do think it's an issue just
because also people don't have money to spend anymore. I
don't know anyone my age, the gambles.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Yeah at all. I think it's all about sports betting.

Speaker 6 (06:32):
I think that's like, oh yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
But so somebody posted the What they say is a
perfect example of how I touched Vegas is with the
mini bar like menu A body Armor sixteen seventy five.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
That's wild.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
A Coca Cola Deluxe thirteen seventy five.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Are these drinks cheaper than water?

Speaker 3 (06:51):
I don't know. I'm not too sure, like what the
Deluxe Coca Cola is and it's just a large because
that has dye. Coke Deluxe also thirteen seventy five.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
A bigger one.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Uh, the Perier Deluxe, the Sparkling Water that's thirteen seventy five.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
I'm googling it.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
A Red Bull Deluxe thirteen seventy five. I think Starbucks Deluxe.
I thing must be large, must be in the Fiji
one liter bottle twenty four dollars and seventy five cents.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
That is wild Vegas.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Baby here it is. It's somebody I gamble or am
I gonna drink water?

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Don't know intern John in your morning show. That's true
