From the city that changes the world. Peers Rose with
three things you need to know for your Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Rosechafras So SAPWADS Airlines is changing its policy for plus
sized passengers starting on July twenty or July January twenty seven.
That's the same day that they're also going to begin
assigned seating for the first time ever. Travelers who need
more than one seat for themselves will have to buy
it in advanced Refunds may be possible, but they are

(00:28):
not guaranteed. Southwest says this update make sure that there
is enough space as they move away from the open
seating model. So just wanted to let you know that
DC is launching a new driver education program at for
local high schools and Mayor Boucher's as a program will
teach kids how to deal with DC's multimodal environment, and
we'll focus on enrolling kids who may need their driving

(00:49):
skills for future employment. So this program begins next month
at Coolidge Eastern, Jackson, Reed and Felts High School. So
pretty cool and a DC area basketball team wants to
set a new world record for the large gathering of
people dressed as cows. Okay, sure, the Frederick Flying Cows
are holding an event on October twenty sixth at the

(01:09):
Great Frederick Baarground. The four hour Cowfest will include many
calthy of activities. They're going to have music and they're gonna.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Have moor treats you know Halloween.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
And those attending aren'tcouraged to dress up as cows in
the attempt to break tea Guinness World record which was
set in Australia in twenty fourteen of thirteen hundred and
fifty two people.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
So that's if you're let's be interested.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
I think that's so fun. I'm Rose.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Those are the three things you need to know for today.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Bank Rose. You're welcome.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Sudy texts in nine ninety three three eight, when was
when did John get those pictures with Taylor? So I
posted on my story because close personal friend the show
Taylor swat course. So I've been lucky in my career
just to be in the right place, right time. So
the first time I met Taylor was the Speak Now
to her. That was in Minneapolis, and it was very
cool because she is exactly what you with thin Like.

(02:00):
The backstage for that was like kind of like a
red theme, which was probably foreshadowing the Red album, which
maybe makes sense. So she had like the stuffed animal
from the Valentine's movie back there. She also had a
rock band played rock band, not gonna lie your boy.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Hell Zone.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
No, absolutely there it is.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
And then the other one was nineteen eighty nine tour
when she was in d C six years ago. Maybe
more than that, maybe whoever it was, that was really
cool too.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Again she was she's very sweet.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
And then like with that one, I got a handwritten
note in the mail like a month later saying like
thanks for coming to the show. It meant a lot,
and I was like, oh damn, so nice. And I
think that too. I also wrote in the golf cart
with her mom, which is very cool. So she's as
cool as he'd want to be. I think people want
to hand her, but she's she's a real one. And
hopefully she has a new address, so that's the more important.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Yeah, speaking of weddings, they did put this out. The
average wedding cost the highest for one state is seventy
thousand dollars average.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah. Wow, so that's California, which is crazy.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Actually, sorry, that's New York.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
California's seven seven for California surprizes me.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
That would there would be a guarantee that this life
and the next three that were together for seventy thousand,
I'm gonna need some like you know, this this life
and forever, ever and ever.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
But I will say it seems like the New York weddings,
and maybe I'm stereotyping, they do seem like they always
like they're a lot more showy.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
I don't mean that in a bad way. It's like
they it seems like they do a lot more.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
DC is up there too, of course over seventy K. Yeah,
of course they say the venue alone can cost twelve That's.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
What I was gonna say, the venue for DC's why.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
I catering between six and ten K. Band or DJ
between two and five K, photographer between three and six K.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah, which those that sounds about right though.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
I always like, uh say, folks, I used to DJ
weddings and obviously now I know a lot of DJs.
There's some DJs I think that add on photos aren't
good at it. Then there's folks like our friend DJ Flips,
who's like as good photographer as a DJ.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
He's probably one of the best DJs in the area.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Yeah, I don't think there'd be a bigger letdown than
sholling out that kay of cash for your photos and
they come back and they are dog crowd.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
So sometimes you just look like your I don't want
to say grandma, but like your your aunt took them
all or something.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
It's sometimes it just looks because I don't know you
want to have like a I feel like some just
have like a cohesive theme and that's what I'd like.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Well, you see, I tuck every now and then, Like
the photographeries are over the top and they're a little
bit goofy, which is also I think you need, like
you when youre trying to get a child to smile
at something that I looked at the camera. But the
photographies are like get in the back of the car,
laying down your angles. Like I would pay that guy
extra after because he's gonna get a different look than
the usual thing.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Yeah, that makes sense.

Speaker 6 (04:44):
I actually had my brother take my wedding pictures and
they were, I mean phenomenal, and it was really cool
because it's like a different connection too, because yeah, he
knows us.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
They also say in Hawaii it's about thirty two thousand dollars. Yeah,
you're in Hawaii, so there you go. Sure, ask is
the cheapest state at sixteen K for a wedding on average.

Speaker 6 (05:03):
So I will never regret eloping or having a micro wedding. Sure,
it's the weddings are so expensive and like you can
take them one and put it on a down payment
on a house.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Okay, Well, I'm gonna have different tiers in my wedding.
There'll be one for the public. There'll be a Patreon
wedding behind the paywall. Do you want to see the
different speeches.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
There's gonna be a VIP section, I hear.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
I'll release it like different albums. It's kind of well, yeah,
the VIP's man be a very elite list. So your
parents are on the list, You guys easily easily get
the invite. Sash Intern Johnny Morning Show with Ariana Intern John.
