Speaker 2 (00:08):
So, according to league sources, two time Pro Bowl wide
receiver Terry McLaurin has asked the Washington Commanders to trade
him because of a contract dispute. Now he is in
the last year of his contract, He reported to trading
camp Sunday after scimming the first four practices and parts
of the off season program. He remains on the physically
unable to perform list with an ankle injury while contract

(00:29):
talks continue. This doesn't necessarily mean that he's leaving, though,
because several star players have requested trades from their teams
because of contract issues over the years and they ended
up staying put.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
For example, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. YEP.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
So we don't really know what's going on right now,
but this is the latest and I will keep you
updated once I have more information. So, an electrical cable
appears to be the source of a fire that was
reported near Foggy Bottom that halted metrorail service yesterday between
the McPherson Square and Clarendon stations. Metro general manager said
the cruise need time to repair the cable that flared up,

(01:03):
but according to reports, Metro said service is back to normal,
so hopefully your commute is a lot easier.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yester morning, and.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
You are invited to Panda Bowlee's fourth birthday party at
the Smithsonian National Zoo.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Giant panda Bali.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Is set to celebrate his fourth birthday on Monday, August fourth,
which is also his golden birthday by the way, and
the National Smithsonian Zoo will be throwing a celebration in
his honor, so the festivities again August fourth on Monday,
will begin at nine am at the David M. Rubinstein
Family Giant Panda Habitat, where the animal care team will
present Bali with a Pana friendly fruit based ice cake

(01:43):
and I just tell you so happy. The Zoo invites
the public to join the celebration in person, or if
you can't make it, you can watch the event online
through the Giant Panda Cam just like a cue way
to get to a Monday. Honestly, I'm rosos are the
three things you need to.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Know for the day.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Thank you, You're welcome. I wanted to bring this up.
I realize if you're up right now, maybe you don't
listen to the entire show. May you get to work
early get home from work. Yesterday we had War of
the Roses, which was lovely. We're also talking about the
what went wrong on a dating app where you met
somebody on a dating app and you went on a
date and we had what might be the best phone

(02:21):
call of the year. Now, but I want to play
for now in case, in case you didn't get a
chance to hear it yesterday, because it's around seven forty. No,
this was this woman when I want a first date
of the guy. Everything was great and then this happened.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
So I went on a first date. Seemed totally normal,
everything was fine. The next day I opened my text
messages to a video from the sky of him having
a shaky thing laying down on the ground. You know,
cheeks pulled it out and let out the largest start up.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Yeah, And so if you miss that, this is why
I get the podcast. To listen to things that happen
later on the show. To search intern John in your
morning show wherever at your podcasts, Yeah, or you download
the free iHeart radio app starts the radio station.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
May I guess you number one?

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Pre set that when you up in the app right there,
But why would you want to miss a gem like that?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
And she also told us the guy put his face
in the video, which to me is.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
The craziest part of the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Bold move and she's like, and he's smiling in the video,
so it's like it wasn't like a.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Oopsie's I mean, the more you know, the more you know.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
The more you know what's I feel like if I
had that happen, I would compartmentalize that so hard, like
it would never come out like I would. I wouldn't
even remember it happened to you, that happened to me.
That's what I'm saying. Like people are like, what's your
worst date? And I'm like, it's been blocked out so hard,
like I can't I can't tell you about the last
five years of my life.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
It's just one of those things where I would like
to ask the fella, what was your desired outcome?

Speaker 1 (03:59):
I see?

Speaker 5 (03:59):
I mean, I feel like if you're sending that unsolicited
and like that, yeah, that whole situation, I don't think
you're going to get an answer that you're expecting or
that you want to know.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
It's just funny because I'm afraid to send a text
to somebody unsolicited saying hello, let alone a video of.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
That if I text you high.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yeah, I mean I'm legit, like, oh, I don't want
to bother somebody. And this guy's like want to know
what now? Let me give him a sneak into people,
so to speak.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Why did you have to call it that? Well, there
is a line, John, It's early is too early to
be crossing it.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
It's summer and west. Somebody's listening to the podcast right
now and it's it's bedtime.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
But now they're gonna be thinking about that because I
will say last night, when I was like at home
getting ready from that, I was like, oh my god,
Like I thought about.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
That it could always be worse. You have a bad day,
you want to know what it could always be worse.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
And so high for how bad it could be now,
because that's like disgusting.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
That is true. Yeah, that's a good point being more.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Than do you like report it like? Or do you
I mean do you like? I mean obviously I would
block them, but what.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Do you like find their mom like just so you
know this is your son?

Speaker 5 (05:08):
That type of vibe as long I haven't done that before,
so get the podcast.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Just search intern John your morning show, intern.
