Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the city that changes the world, peers Rose with
three things you need.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
To know for your Friday Rose that you got for us.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
So honestly, because of the weather last night, tens of
thousands of residents have lost power and there have been
numerous reports of down trees and power lines. So BG
customers at lost power during the storm. Crews have been
working to restore the service, but the utility posted a
message saying it expects that eighty percent of the weather
related outages will be restored by four this afternoon and

(00:30):
the remainder will be fixed by eleven pm on Saturday.
For Dominion Energy, they're still reporting a lot about it
is mainly in Arlington, Alexandria and across Fairfax County.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
So I'll keep you update on this.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
So Trump did extend the TikTok ban for another ninety days.
He signed that order to delay the enforcement of the
biparts in law that would remove TikTok from the US
app store.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
And so entially Vanity Thin if you did have it.
So that new.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Deadline moves from now to September seventeenth, which is giving
negotiators more time to finish a deal and hopefully get
that all approved, but I don't know. We'll see, We'll
see what happens with this, because I feel like it
it's just going to keep getting.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Extended at this point. But you never know.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
It was banned once, it did go dark once, but
I don't know. And Metro officials are blaming yesterday's redline
delays on a hydraulic fluid leak, which doesn't sound great,
but trains were single tracking between Union Station and Fortrotten
Station for about six hours yesterday morning as crews worked
to clean up that fluid and prevent environmental damage. Signal
problems and track repairs also caused some issues for writers

(01:32):
earlier this week, but those problems led the CEO and
General Manager of Metro to issue apology, saying that the
system had failed to deliver service to customers that deliver.
So just make sure that you're just checking your lines
if you're traveling using the Metro today. I'm read those
are the three things you need to.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Know for the day. Thank you, Rose, You're welcome. I'm
a haircut yesterday. Thank you guys for you're very a hat.
We literally just talked about it yesterday. Yeah, exciting.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
I do think the heavens look down because I got
Skittles out for a walk before the storm and before
the monsoon, which is very exciting. Dogs are funny and
evolution's funny, right because there's a meme back in the
day of like dogs us like forage for meat and berries. Yeah,
now you give them a treat and they have diarrhea
for two weeks. Skittles a herding dog who presumably his

(02:21):
relatives lived in the fields in Scotland probably probably had storms,
probably and he sniffs.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Lightning and he's he gone so lucky. That was good.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Tonight's the first show of the Chewy Forever shows. We're
very excited for it. Just couple of things if we're
going tonight. Show starts at seven. Doors open at six.
It is open seating at the Draft House. Like the
sooner you get there, the better seats you can get.
And then the meet and greet is after the show
right away. We stay for as long as you want.
Draft House has great food. They have great drinks as well.

(02:51):
The Warrior Cannine Connection is bringing puppies.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah, I'm so excited that's gonna be.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
I mean, I've told this story before, but Sauce and
I went to their location and darn sound, and it's
just like a puppy heaven. It's a giant farm and
there's all these puppies and you forget like puppies are amazing. Yeah,
and their cuteness I think is probably defends things you forget.
They are destructive, yes, because we were letting these dogs shoe.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
On every inch of bus like shoes. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
What though, you have puppy breath, You're adorable. It's like whatever,
And they just like giant balls of fuzz. C That
was the best thing ever. So then tomorrow the first
show is at six thirty, doors open an hour before.
Second shows at nine, doors open thirty minutes before. Then
the after party, you're gonna be a hide social. She'd
be very exciting. Do you think your nana wants to
come to the after.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Party she's coming tomorrow to the shows. I mean, I
don't think she's gonna want to come to the after
party though. It'd be pretty sick. Though it would be sick,
but I don't I don't think it would be that
fun for her.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
It could be a vibe, sure, you know what I mean,
It's gonna be a lot of fun for us. I
think doing the show obviously is really cool. And getting
talk to the phone to school. However, it is just
us in a room, so seeing you in person is
one of the coolest things about the whole thing. Our
friend A Laura, who lives in Texas is flying up
for the show, which is crazy. Our friend Greg's flying
in from Colorado. There's people are coming from North Carolina.

(04:12):
It's a it's a very flattering I guess it is
this very cool to see people in person who listen
to the show. There are a few last minute tickets
left the ven. You release a couple of extra seats
last night. I think they're still going for like six bucks.
If you want to go tonight or tomorrow, gets your
last Matt tickets. Internjohncomedy dot Com benefits the Warrior Canine
connection and then before the show hooting air host games

(04:36):
which is very very exciting. You could win my Man shirts,
which is fantastic. So Internsjooncomedy dot Com
