Speaker 1 (00:01):
From the City that Changes the World, Peers Rose with
three things you need to know.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Your Friday Rose.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
The Washington Capitol said yesterday that no decision has been
made on Alex Ovechkin's future in the NHL after an
email was sent to season ticket holders calling next season
his last.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
Who was getting fired for this?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
So the team quickly retracted the email, saying it was
mistakenly sent by an employee in the corporate marketing department.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
However, it had already taken off.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
At that point.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Everyone was like what.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
So the team added that no decision had been made,
but the upcoming season, the twenty five to twenty sixth season,
is his last on his current contract. That doesn't mean
he's not going to sign a new one. It just
means we don't know right now.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Yeah, exactly, exactly. Yeah, So that was that was a
doozy yesterday.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
So the Dolls Airport is counting down to the big
reveal of its new Concourse. Official showed renderings of the
new facility, Concourse E, and it looks awesome. So Concourse
is going to feature a bunch of new shopping opportunities, dining,
other amenities. It also comes with fourteen new gates, jet
bridges at every gate, comfortable seating, and direct access to

(01:18):
the AeroTrain, and it is expected to be completed by
twenty twenty six. And to fight off the AI to
power cheating way that teachers are having to deal with,
some of them are going old school with the Blue book.
I don't know, because remember this, this is the paper
exam booklet and the sales of those are skyrocket rocketing

(01:39):
at universities. So basically, the blue paper book is handwritten
essays and tests where you would like write it all
out and you don't have the opportunity to cheat with
AI because a lot of people are doing that. Many
educators see AI as a creative tool.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Others are pumping the brakes because cheating. That's why it
makes sense. I remember we had turn it in dot com.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Like that was a thing to prevent people eating and plagiarizing.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
But then somebody, some genius sued turn in dot com
because the guy says using my work without permission, which
is kind of ironic, kind.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Of ironic, true, but I was always so terrified. I
was like, if I don't cite this right, I'm gonna
get zero.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Like it was.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
It was, yeah, real so now just pay for a pen.
I guess is what they're doing. I wrote, those are
the three things you need.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
To know for the day, Nicky Rose. You're welcome.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Tickets around sale right now. There's not many left for
the comedy shows. We're doing a weekend of shows in
Arlington and June at the Arlington Draft House. They had
great food, they had great drinks. They're fifteen dollars. Tickets
benefits the Warrior Canine Connection. They might actually bring some
of the puppies, which would be very exciting. You can
get the last tickets internship on comedy dot com. This
is kind of crazy, but I guess the world we're

(02:50):
living in. Roses sent this to me. The new kind
of like hot thing are divorce coaches. Yeah, so if
you're married and looking to not be married anymore, people
are hiring divorce court coaches and it is expansive. So
according to the Lay's staff by the New York Times,
about half a couple's first marriages and in splits field. Okay,

(03:10):
so they say every forty two seconds a US couple
ends their marriage.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
That is a.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Very sad statistics.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Holder breath and boom done. So they say to help
these Okay, thank you. I means during the show, I don't.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Know lots of people, this is not a match.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Yeah, like two hundred and forty something by sixty marriages,
which is crazy. So couples have been hiring divorce coaches
to help them kind of guide the way through. I
don't necessarily.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Think it is a bad Do you expl what does
it entail?

Speaker 2 (03:42):
We'll get to that. They provide. They help you get
out your emotional reactions. So they also help with the
legal stuff working with attorneys, but actually support with help
strategize a plan for post divorce life. It kind of
sounds like basically post couples.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Counseling therapy because my friend is a divorce attorney and
I feel like a lot of this stuff he also
does with his clients.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
All right, Yeah, so they can help it through well being,
they can help with their dating lives, they can do
various things. There's also like twenty four hour on call
if he needs so, okay, some of these coaches, their
rates starts at sixteen hundred dollars an hour.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Okay, an hours defensive getting divorced.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
So yeah, well, other coaches charge between fifty bucks and
three hundred dollars per hour. I mean I would say
the fifty bucks though, Like, yeah, lawyers charge you the
sec can you pick up a phone?

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
So I have a couple of lawyers that I've worked
with where they call me, Hey, am I being charged
for this? And if it's a yes, I'm like, I'm
sitting time? Am I end? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I mean tell yeah. And that's like the I've had
friends go through divorces and use their lawyer as a therapist.
I'm like, to do not do that. They're charging you more.
Therapy is like one hundred dollars a session. Yeah, maybe
talking to your lawyer for that hour a couple of
hundred dollars. And by the way, your therapist wants to
get you off the phone is like another your lawyer

(05:04):
will keep you on forever.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah, your therapist, their job is to help work you
through it, unless you use.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
A Zari law our friends at Zori lawllc dot com.
Fat fantastic, fabulous. So it's interesting they say that it's
just kind of like the help with the process afterwards.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
I don't know, I mean, would the requirement be, like,
I've been through this so I know the pitfalls of
what can happen through divorce.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Because I feel like I would want to.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
I don't know, you see their credentials, like how did
your divorce end?

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yeah, you know, well that is like they there is
a thought right of like some marriage counselors who went
through divorce, and then it's like, okay, they've been through it,
so like that's that's fine. But it's like, oh, but
why I listen to you because you it didn't work
out for you. Delenda is charging six hundred dollars an hour.
She says she has been through divorce.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
I just feel like a lot of that stuff.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
I mean I understand you wanting that, sure, but I
think a lot of that stuff you could get from
therapy or your lawyer, and you're already spending so much money.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Basically, like to that point, again, this kind of sounds
like it's therapy a little bit too late, if that
makes sense. Like it's it's like it's couples counseling, but for.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I guess your yeah, I guess you're using it as
like a support system.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Yeah. I mean it's interesting. I would gladly get paid
three hundred dollars an hour, but that's just one day
it's Internshohn, your morning intern

Speaker 4 (06:20):
John in your morning show, True and iHeartRadio.
