Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the city that changes the world, peers Rose with
three things you need to.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Know for your Monday Rose What you got for us?

Speaker 3 (00:08):
So, the WUSSC Water issuing a warning to local residents
about potential sewage overflow. So it's being described as a
controlled emergency overflow at the Anacostia Water Wastewater pumping station.
So it's part of an effort to prevent untreated sewage
from backing up into Northeast DC neighborhoods. Rainfall in the

(00:29):
region is going to be the key factor of this
controlled emergency overflow occurs, and if it does, that sewage
will enter beaver Dam Creek, which flows into Anacostia River,
and there will be signs put up urging residents to
avoid the waterway for about thirty days. But they're saying
that w SEC's water and the district's water systems are

(00:50):
not impacted, So just want to let you know.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
If that happens, I will let you know.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
So an extreme heat alert is issued by DC Mayor
Muriel Bowser over the weekend, and that is going to
remain in effect for the district.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Until Thursday morning. Yes, so DC.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
They're gonna open cooling centers this week, it's going to
be hot as hell, so mid nineties, but the heat
in next it's gonna feel like one hundred and five
or hotter, so make sure you're drinking waters day inside
if you can. But there is gonna be a cold
firn coming through later this week on Thursday, cooler, which
would be very nice, less humidity in the air.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Again, that's on Thursday.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
And Aldie is giving free bachelorette bottles to bridees in August.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Is pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
So if you are celebrating your bachelorette in Vegas, Miami, Nashville,
New Orleans, or Phoenix, you can snag one of these bundles.
Each bundle is packed with all these snacks swag. There's
like coosies and tattoos and even a fifty dollars gift
card to get whatever else go awesome at Aldi, So
it's gonna be quick. On July twenty ninth, nine am

(01:56):
is when you can snag that. I'm gonna get the
information up because you have to go to US specific
website to get that, and then what they'll do is
don't ship it straight to your hotel or rental. So
again you can't just like do it. You have to
be in one of those cities that I mentioned.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
I'm Rose.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Those are the three things you need to.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Know for the day. Thank you, Rose, You're welcome. This
would be an example of how you can win and
lose at the same time. Okay, Forgetful husband leads South
Carolina woman to half a million dollar lottery prize. Okay, now,
I mean winny, half a million dollars? Pretty great? No,
probably what two to fifty haf taxes some lot A
South Carolina woman whose husband forgot to buy her lottery

(02:33):
tickets made her own trip to the store and ended
up winning five hundred thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Now, this is one of those cases where that poor guy.
But to be fair, had he not forgotten, would she
have won the half million dollars.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Probably not, butterfly effect exactly the question Rose, No, yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
So the woman told the lottery official should be a
trip to the ready mart because her husband had forgotten
to buy the lottery tickets she requested.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
You know, she was like, all right, Tony, I'm gonna
have to do it myself.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yeah, yeah, you can't do anything right now, watch me
go and win.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Literally literally I mean, what if, like verbatim, that's what
she said. She's like, I honestly manifested.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
This cause it is like, yeah, if you're that guy,
it's kind of coolly we won half million dollars. But
it's also like your mistake led to it. But does
the winning of the money cancel out the fact that
you didn't listen to your wife?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Definitely? I mean for me it was yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
But I don't know like that. She said, I was
standing in line, these bright, shining glitter tickets caught my eye.
I bought three of them. The first two weren't winners,
but the third one is always that last ticket, yeah,
was a half million dollar prize.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
So she said she's making plans for a new found wealth.
I'll have a little fun. It takes some trips, Retirement
will come sooner than later. Didn't say she's played with
her husbands. Yeah, but like that's a good one to
get you. I don't know, because again it's like, if
you hadn't not done by ass, I wouldn't have bought
the ticket. However, I'd make the trip because you didn't listen.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Yeah, So if he changed his behavior, if he was
like very forgetful all the time. Then I'd be like, mmmm,
you got you gotta change, you gotta like learn.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
That is one of those things though, where like I
would throw that in his face all the time. If
he ever said, like, are you sure, I'm like, oh,
like how you were sure? You got me on lottery tickets?
And he didn't I want half million dollars? Like that's
a pretty good like you.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Know what they call the it worked out, though, I
don't know why you would keep throwing in someone's faces,
like if he had remembered, you would not have won.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
So sauce you're telling me, yeah that if this was
me and you we were married, but you asked me
out of seven eleven and he said, hey, give me
a lottery ticket, and I forgot. Then you went, You're like,
of course John forgot. Yeah, you went and got a
lottery ticket and went a half million dollars. You're saying
you would let it rest right there, that you would
never ever bring up like, hey, remember the time that
you Hey.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
If you're asking for advice, would you do often and
then you didn't take it? Or no, if you asked
me for advice, and I'd be like and then you
didn't listen. I'd be like, oh, well, remember that one
time you didn't listen and then I won money?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Right, But I'm saying, in this case, though this happened,
you asked me to buy tickets. I forgot, so you go,
I'll get my own and you and the money. You
for sure not let me forget it.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
I would like bring it up to like rub it
in their face. It depends if it's like he just
forgets things all the time. Yeah, I'd be like, this
is a great example why, like maybe you should change
your behavior even though I still won.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
I would just buy necklace. That says I was right. Sure.
I think that's what I would do, is buy that. Yeah,
what would you do exactly? Over text nine three eight
intern John in your morning
