Speaker 2 (00:03):
Happy Thursday, friend, Welcome to the show. My name's in
Turn John, saw us Hi Hi Rose, Hello, Hello, got
to Eric here, Hoodie saver, I love hear from you.
Though dms are open at Wymus Radium, you can text
the show nine to nine, three three eight. Let me
get this for your Thursday. I'm not that surprise. A
new study one in four gen Z workers regret going
(00:25):
to college or wish they chose a higher paying field. Sure,
I have tried to speak this in the mountaintop. I
think schools maybe be more transparent about how much your
degree will actually make you.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
I disagree, but I feel like at least when I
went to college, I felt like I knew enough about
certain majors that sure would I have maybe majored in
that maybe, but that I knew that I wouldn't. It
was pretty obvious, like if you're going to major in French, yeah,
what are you going.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
To do with that? But like some people must not
get that though, Yeah, I mean, because I agree. I
think you assume because I'm giving you so much money,
you and lead me astray.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Because I've heard different podcasts like obviously True Crimes all
I listened to about how like you know somebody in
the family, like they're talking about, yeah, she went to college,
she was so smart, and then it's like I hear
this was like actually verbatim, she was getting her master's
in French and then she couldn't find a job and
she's like leaning on her family and like, yeah, what are.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
You going to do with that? Probably going to teach French?
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, but no, but she didn't want to be a teacher.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
That was. That was what they said, that transparency needs
to be there. It was. It's also interesting because they
say twelve percent rather pursue a creative or passion driven degree. Well,
I would say that is if you want to follow
your passion, yes, but the thing about your passion is
you can make zero dollars and you still love doing
it and that's why it's a passion, do you know.
I mean, like I think, I think it's rare to
(01:45):
find a passion that you also make a living wage.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yet I don't disagree with it.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
I feel like they say, like with teachers, like part
of the reason they're able, and then she get paid more,
definitely get paid, but because they're so passionate about it. Yeah,
that's why they.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Stay because they love like being in those kids lives
and helping them grow. And I think that's wonderful and
that's and also they're literally growing our youth to become
they're gonna help our country and us and let everybody
around them. So I'm just like, I don't get why
they don't get paid more.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
I don't Uh yeah, I mean we've talked teachers who
we did it, like last August. We're like, yeah, we
have AC and it's like you're you're Montgomery County. Yeah,
why what do you mean?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
So?
Speaker 2 (02:18):
And would love your thoughts of her text nine ninety
three three eight
