This new study found that gen Z when it comes
to dating is using the anti compliment or so yeah,
or sarcasm. They're using reverse psychology to flirt.

That's deep point to play. I think just think that's normal.

I've never heard of that before. Yeah, saying things like
stop being so funny, I'm trying hard not to fall
for you. Yeah, this is interesting. I would never thought
about that. I always thought that just be honest enough
front and uh say exactly what you mean, it's always
the way to go.

So I feel like the sarcasm way of flirting has
just been around for so long that people just think
that's like the only way to flirt. Yeah, just like
trying to be charismatic.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
They're also humor massed interest.

Putting these big words on.

Everything is wrapped in jokes or playful banter, so rejection
feels less personal. There is that, but I think if
you do too much joking so you don't get rejected,
you're not the other person out, know, for being serious.

I don't even know if they were like really yeah,
they're just like, you know, yeah, being silly.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
They say a large According to DAT, a large part
of young daters use humor to express potential interest while
maintaining easy exit. Things don't land. They can always say.

Just kidding, how do you feel like you do that? John?
I do that too, Like with like humor to try
to pick people up. You're like haha, ha, like I

like I know you're I don't know.

Yeah, I guess it's probably more of a defense mechanism.
I guess for sure, So I guess there is that.
It's just to me, it's funny that they're acting like
this is like the first time in human history you've
done I mean literally in the playground. You pick on
the person you thought was cute. Literally, hope they pick
up on it. Yeah, that's kind of the way I
