much for us. If you say ah and um a lot,
according to research, you might mean your brain is breaking.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
LS all right, I actually literally say my brain is broken,
probably at least once a week, oh for sure.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
The University of Toronto found that using lots of philler
words like uh anum could be a sign your brain
is breaking, So they tested speech patterns more than two
hundred and forty adults. The ones who pause or use
philler words a lot tend to show the biggest declines
in quote executive function, How do we change that we're dead?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Die? I say?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Executive function includes everything from memory and planning to reasoning
and problem solving skills. Basically, it's a broad term for
how well your brain works.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yeah, my brain doesn't work. Since having children, I've got
real bad mommy brains.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
So I've given up. They say the clients. The older
is normal and these I feel it.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Words can also just be a bad habit, so don't
think that using them more and more could be a
sign your slipping right.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
It's just habit. That's how I'm gonna go with. That's
what I'm going Yeah, yeah, is not the worst. We
listened back to the show as like, Jesus help me.

If I say like one more time, I will punch myself.

Not really, When do you say the most?

Or do I say it a lot?
