came out, nearly a third of Americans expect to go
into debt this holiday season.

It always is like I don't have money the entire year,
and then here we are now when you spend the money,
I'm like, but beware, where's it going from? Where do
I do that? Over half of people have created a
holiday budget this year, Sauce of.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Year, no, Roseue, not officially okay, but like I have
an idea.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Sure. Nearly two thirds of those have already overspent or
expect they will. Okay.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
I'm a bad gift giver. Yeah, so that's what I'm like,
what do I give you?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
The gift cards are always I think the gift cards
are frown upon for so long, but now it just
seems like.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
It's so it's like an easy thing what they want.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Some people moved out of money around the lives to
be able to cover holiday expenses by not dining out
Number one Yeah okay, and they're spending less on groceries
and like going out in general. I think it probably
seems fair.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
I mean, I definitely like tone like pulled back in
November to be able to you know, more for the holidays.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
So thirty five percent have gone to debt for holidays
in past years. Thirty one percent they expect to slip
and debt slip in a debt this holiday season again
or just deeper in debt. I would just offer to
your friends are probably struggling as well, So if you say, hey,
let's not do gifts this year, they'll probably be.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Like the best, cool, Yeah, yeah, let's please, let's.

They say more than half will be guilt giving, or
buy at least one present for someone because they'll obligate
you too, because.

Yeah. Absolutely, dam They say people are spending over two
hundred and fifty dollars on guilt gifts on average this season.
I always buy an extra gift card just in case
