Speaker 1 (00:00):
Second date update on interns on in your morning show.
You're dating somebody, you think there's a vibe, you think
maybe this person could be some special but then they
start to pull back and we leave. We're left wondering
what the hell happened? Okay, so I do second date
update Rachel, good.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Morning, Hey, good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
This is kind of a unique circumstance because you and
Dan initially met a year ago and then kind of
went separate ways.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
What happened?
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Yeah, so we met at this work conference like a
year ago or so, and then you know, we sort
of hit it off, but we went our separate ways.
He follows me on Instagram and he replied recently like
I guess a year later to one of my stories
and he asked me out.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Okay, So just so we're clear, So a year ago,
you go to the conference, you guys meet, you say
your head off.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Does that mean that we hooked up?
Speaker 1 (00:54):
We just had funny conversation, Like what does that necessarily mean?
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yeah, like we had a dream, we were flirty, you know,
we had like a good vibe.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Okay, and then from a year ago we followed you
on Instagram. There was never an attempt to like get
together for a date or anything like that.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
No, not until recently a year later, which I thought
was kind of weird. But you know, he was cool
when I met him, So I said, okay, like, let
me check this out, I responded, and I agree.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
To go out with him.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Okay, Okay, so you're following each other, he responds, out
of the blue, we go out, and you guys have
been how many dates since?
Speaker 2 (01:32):
He responded? I think I too?
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Yeah too, Okay, last time we had dinner was a
little over a week ago.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, so I haven't heard from him him in a
week since our second date.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Okay, And so how'd you guys leave at the end
of second date? Was it a let's say this again
next week, can't wait to see you?
Speaker 3 (01:50):
I mean, I think we just kind of left it open,
like I was expecting to hear from him. He didn't
really say, but I would have expected to get a
text or a call or something, but we didn't off
we would see each other.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Got you?
Speaker 1 (02:04):
And does the I guess the fact that you guys
originally met a year ago, does that kind of add
to the I don't confusions that were but kind of like,
what the hell's going on? It's like, why reach out
again if he's gone a year?
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Why now now?
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Exactly why now? And then why aren't I hearing back
from you? So you delayed a year we went out,
and now are you delaying it again?
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Are you bored?
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Like what's going on? Some of you actually got a
lot of text nine nine three three eight.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Was he single when you guys met, because that could
be as far as.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
I know, Yeah, I mean based on his vibe, But
I never straight out asked.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Okay, okay, were we romantic at all last year? Was
there any kiss or anything like that?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Or is it just we kissed at the end of
the night.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Okay, all right, well, because like my mind's going to
like maybe he was in a relationship or about to
start a relationship, and that's why it is seems very odd.
I guess in the story that he replied to was
it anything special? I mean, obviously all your stories are special, Rachel,
But was it like a girl's night or like something
(03:10):
where you looked really good in it?
Speaker 3 (03:13):
No, it was just like me reading on the beach.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Okay, okay, okay, So let's do this.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
We'll call Dan, try him on with us and get
his side of the story because at that point, Yeah,
I mean, why even bother to reach out a year
or something?
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
I'm intrigued.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Hello Dan, Hey is this Dan?
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Hey?
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Dan?
Speaker 1 (03:54):
My name is intern John. I got Sauce and Rose
here as well. We talked to you in the air
real quick about some nothing bad, just need like thirty
seconds of your time. Sure, yeah, perfect, Dan. I got
somebody in line here, Rachel, if you want to say, hello,
nailed it, so I did, Yeah, Dan, Rachel reached out
(04:15):
to us. She had told us, you guys had met
about a year ago to work conference, kind of what
you separate ways. But you reached out to about a
month ago and he, guysn't been on two dates, but
he's not hurting about a week and a half. So
we're trying to see where your head's at with a
second date update, because it does it seems odd to
wait a whole year reach out and then well we're
(04:35):
sitting now.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
It's like, what was the point of reaching out? Do
you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (04:40):
I mean, I guess she was part of this.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
I guess I'll tell you. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
So the last date me and Rachel went on, there
was just like no romance toid you know how So
I get.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
I understand like.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
People are nervous when they go on dates. But she
literally had a list of questions like I was going through.
It was on her phone. She was just going question
the question. Well I have a question, and she kept writing.
She kept writing down my answers like I was on
like a job interview.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Okay, okay, wait wait, so should ask you like, what
what's your five year plan?
Speaker 2 (05:20):
And then write down.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
And then she'll she'll take time like almost like we're
not even in the conversation, just takes the time to
write down whatever I just said.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Okay, different, Rachel, Really yes? Is that accurate?
Speaker 3 (05:36):
I mean yeah, I wasn't saying borough. I don't think
that's anything wrong with kind of just going down a
list of questions. We're not here for games.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
I'm not here to judge. But then is the idea then, well,
I guess two questions. Do you do this on other dates?
Speaker 5 (05:51):
I do?
Speaker 4 (05:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:52):
And then do you go back and reference it just
to see if the answers are right?
Speaker 3 (05:58):
It's not even about the answers me right, It's just
sort of more about if it aligns with who I.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Am to so right for you?
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Okay, okay, okay, and so Dan, I guess for you.
That just seemed a little bit too formal.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
It didn't even feel like we were on a date.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
It was supposed to.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
You know, dates, you go out and you kind of,
you know, go with the slow. Yeah. It was like,
you know, there was there was no like, I guess,
for lack of a better word, bonding to it. It
felt like I was like being grilled.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
It was yeah, crossing domination, like we were trying.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
To find romance. I thought she was trying to hire me.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Okay, let me get this. I'm gonna put you guys
in hold. Are you a team Rachel or Team Dan?
Eight seven seven nine nine five for six State want
to Call? Nine ninety three three eight the text it's
second date update on intern John in Your Morning Show.
Second date update on Internsohn in Your Morning Show. We
just talked to Rachel and Dan. Kind of a unique timeline.
They met at a work conference last year. I guess
(07:01):
had a kiss living in sin and then follow each
other Instagram, and then he reached out about a month
ago they had the date. He did not like the
fact that she kind of had a list of questions,
was going over the questions and then would write down
his answers to said questions while on the date.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Whose side are you on?
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Eight seven, seven, nine four six, state one to call,
nine ninety three three eight to text?
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Or putting me in hold? I shall be saucyr.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
Thoughts even just like picturing it makes me have secondhand embarrassment.
I'm feel bad even saying that, but it just is
not great. I definitely am on his side. I would
feel so uncomfortable if I stand so, yeah, don't do that.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
And I almost like at that point, I'm a stat
sheet instead of like a person you're on a date with.
Speaker 5 (07:43):
That makes sense, but you're not even in the moment.
You're just like, all right, check check check. So how
are you?
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (07:49):
You filled out your little sheet? Did you go home
and study it? And you're like, well, now I feel
like I know him better if you actually like listen
and you continue the conversation, going from his answers to
questions I don't know, Well.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Let me ask you this. How does the debrief go
with their girlfriends? How'd your date?
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Well? I asked him about his fair breakfast. He actually said,
he said, you find this question.
Speaker 5 (08:10):
I have seen on TikTok a few accounts where people
go on dates and they have this like not necessarily
a sheep, but it's like he did this, and then
they will give each one like a one out of
five or something, and then they add up at the end,
and then they base that on if they'll go out
with that person again.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
And I'm like, how do you remember all these things?
That's all Like.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
I will remember my entire date, but I'm not like
looking into every little detail like that. I just want
to get to know the person. And dating's weird and awkward. Sure,
but you can. You can think of two questions in
your brain and go into a date with that and
then go from there.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yeah that's fair. Yes, rose your thoughts.
Speaker 6 (08:44):
If you're looking for someone to like fill out your checklist,
you're never gonna find someone that hits every single thing
that you possibly could want. And even if you did
find that person, they might not be the one for you.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (08:59):
Like, I I find it very very weird that she
is writing down his responses in front of him, Like
that makes me, that makes it seem like a transaction.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Yeah, it's so odd. I'm breeding stock or.
Speaker 5 (09:11):
Something like that keep pitting the microphone today. I'm sorry,
I don't know what to do with my hand.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
It happens the best of us. Let me go, Akira, good.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Morning, what do you want to say with second date update?
Speaker 3 (09:24):
I'm on team Dan because if someone pulled out a
notebook seat of writing down my answers, I would have
honestly serial killer vibes and probably walked out.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
And yeah, yeah, I would have left too. Yeah yeah.
They asked your blood type and can get your thumb
print real quick? Wait is this a job interview? Oh yeah,
play a police sketch for sure.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
He told to take notes mentally but not physically in
front of the person, Like, I know you have my location,
but I think you actually need to get here.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yeah, help out, save me right now. A Kira, thank
you for listening. Have a great day.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
Thank you too, by let me go, Naomi, good morning,
Good morning guys.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Hey, what do you want to say with second date update?
Speaker 7 (10:04):
Okay, I am definitely on team Dan's side. I think
it's weird that she pulled out a list of questions,
but maybe she has short term memory last and she
has to go back once she's told me. Sure, that's
the only thing that came to mind.
Speaker 5 (10:20):
That's actually very positive of you to think like that.
So I feel like a jerk now.
Speaker 6 (10:27):
But like if that's because like why wouldn't you say
something like, hey, I'm really sorry, I have short memories.
I need to write these things down just so I
don't forget. Like that would be a conversation that you
need to have with a person up front instead.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Of like, let me take this note real quick.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Now I just record exactly are there other people in
your car? Are you with a pack of hyenas?
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Tough it?
Speaker 7 (10:47):
No, I'm with a pack of hyenas.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
The names thank you?
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Oh no?
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Her name is Marcella. How old is that? How old
is Marcella? Thirty eight? And we're on a way to
work out wads? Yes, okay, all right, I gonna put
your kids on home.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
I'm sorry, sorry, go ahead. Maybe it's just how the
phone picked did not sound like if somebody's laughing in
the background.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Like a little kid.
Speaker 6 (11:21):
But that's what my thought was, Like the person that
she's with is even like, honey, that that's that's.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
A bit of a stretch, like laughing at her reaction
to it. I thought it was a kid. That's we
can just verify the dumb button worked and that because
that's a work that's not good enough. That's that's an
eric response. I think it works. It seems like it did.
That's right to make a good morning to make are
(11:47):
you there? Oh? I'm sorry girl, What do you want
to say with this great show show? I don't know.
That is just really really, really really weird that any
one off.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
When you're when you're going on a date, you have
to you know what you want internally, you know what
you're using for.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
So just let the day, you.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Know, let the conversations and you take mental notes, mental notes,
not physical notes.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
So yep, I'm saying that because that would definitely throw
me off.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
And it's brave to actually finish the date. I would
have probably ended the date middate and that's very why
why would start?
Speaker 1 (12:30):
So to make a thank you for listening, you have
a great day, thank you too. By You can continue
over text nine nine three three if you want to
do a second day update. D ms are open at
WYMUS Radio. Shelby Sauce has for entertainment apart coming next
what you got for us?
Speaker 2 (12:43):
What are we talking about?
Speaker 5 (12:44):
