Speaker 2 (00:06):
So the Shaun Didny Coombs trial suffered another lengthy delay.
On Thursday, the judge summon prosecutors, the defense, and Jane
you know his ex that's her alias Jane's attorneys into
his chambers. So Jane had testified about a twenty twenty
four birthday party in Las Vegas. She flew there with
a quote unquote famous rapper and the party turned into
one of those freak off parties. So basically, the judge
(00:28):
denied the defense's request that the party goaler's name has
become public. This was a behind closed doors event and
it did not involve Diddy. However, the defense team described
the unnamed quote unquote again famous rapper as being on
quote top of the music industry and had previously requirder
with Diddy unquote. So Jane did complete her testimony yesterday
after nearly a week of being on the witness sand
and prosecutors, of course have more witnesses to call. So
(00:51):
the Grammy Awards for next year will introduce some new
categories and revive an old one. So Best Album Cover
is coming Back, which I think is cool. And it
looks like Beyonce responsible for the country album category splitting,
so Cowboy Carter did win Best Country Album. I love
Beyonce's music, I don't really think it's country in my opinion.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
That's again in my opinion.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
But their Cordy Academy CEO said, quote, the community making
country music in different subgenres came to us with a
proposal quote. So in twenty twenty six there's gonna be
two separate categories such Additional Country Album and the Contemporary
Country Album, which.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
I think that's great.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
And I have a few updates for the fourth of July,
So the Macy's fourth July Fireworks Special has its performers
now set. So the Jonas brothers, Ava Max, and Eric
Church will join Lanny Kravitz, Kekey Palmer and Trisha Yearwood
for the forty ninth annual events. That will be a
nine pm on NBC in Peacock Eastern. And then also
it looks like we might have Joey Chestnut coming back
(01:44):
to the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest on Cony Island.
So if you remember last year he was banned due
to a sponsorship issue and then he you know, if
you think about hot dogging contest, you think about Joey Chestnutt.
He's won the event sixteen times, held the record of
seventy six hot dogs eaten in ten minutes one which wow.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
Crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:06):

Rose sent me this. I thought it was kind of interesting.
There's woman. This woman's gone viral for creating her own
(02:42):
funeral photo montage. Oh yes, so she be remembered at
her hottest her words. Now, this woman is not actively dying, okay,
she just happens to work in the funeral industry. And
so she talks about how she went to a friend's
house for a girls' night. It's like, hey, I gotta
show you something. Yeah, then pull the mond to with
the sad music and then all the hot photos.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
I knew I would be on board with this.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
I'm like, yes, I already know who's doing my makeup
if I work now today, and where I would have
my funeral where I would have it at my friend
Christina's funeral home. And she aeray, knows all my details.
It's normal things. She's a funeral director. That's not weird
to have that conversation with your friend.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
I mean, don't think I meant that. I understand.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
I literally sent her. I send her pictures every few years, Yes, updates.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
What do you mean?
Speaker 3 (03:31):
You know what I want my makeup to look at?
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Like?
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Gotcha? Because she's the one that does your makeup. No,
she's gonna have my friend Davy come into my makeup.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
I sent her the pictures so she keeps it up.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Would do you would you create a photo montage?
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yes? I would, Okay, absolutely, you.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Wouldn't trust us. Eric's probably got great photos. I would.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Oh, I would trust you. I thought you said dress us.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
I was like, why would I wudn't trust us to
make a photomontage.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
No, but I did ask Kate to do that prank
where you're like or she acts like I'm not dead,
like you know, or she's like, oh my god, like
I don't know, like I sent her this video while ago,
and I'll like joke about it, like if we like who
goes first, like what we're gonna do.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
At the casco? Yeah, yeah, that's right. Well, there was
that train a couple of years ago of wives taking
keep photos themselves because their husbands can't do it, and
that they want to keep montage and it is yeah,
because dude's out a photo of your feet.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Like like dressed up like a grim reaper and like
scary buddy.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Stop like stand in the corner. Yeah, like he and
I like said, this is normal things about anyways.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
So she said the idea, which I kind of understand.
She said, by pre planning and getting your affairs in order,
even doing stuff like this, you're un burdening your family
having to this kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Honestly, in fifth grade, my teacher, Miss Bostic, phenomenal woman.
She said, make sure by the time you turn eighteen,
you start planning so that if you go early, your
family doesn't have to take that on.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
What these I was in fifth grade.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
She had lost her daughter a very young age, okay,
and she just like said that because she had to
go through so much stuff.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
That's not the effect something you tell ten years old.
But I never forgot it.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Yeah, I understand that, that's okay.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Yeah, I don't think it's that weird. She didn't say
in like a more like a way like to scare us.
She was just saying like she was like just upset,
and she just happened to say it.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Well, I'll say this. When I had meningitis two years
ago as in the er, and like of course there
was no burdens scay. I was there for like thirty
hours before they saw me. I I did WebMD like
an idiot, and I was like, you might have brain
like brain cancer, and I was like, oh, I probably
should like my mind when I legit thought I should
remind my friends the good stuff I've done for them. Yeah,
because they're for sure I forget when they give my
(05:30):
speeches for sure. Yeah, I was like I should just
like And then also I was like I just send
memo requests to settle my affairs.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
If you had texted me, hey remember that time, and
then I would be like, what the hell was wrong
with you?
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Well?
Speaker 1 (05:45):
You remember it?
Speaker 2 (05:45):
But also, John, you sent me lists periodically of people
to remind myself that are not allowed to speak at
your funeral?
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Correct? So wait what?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Yeah, it's like a very normal You've been doing this
for like eight or nine years, honestly, because.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
Am I just living a blissful like ignorant life.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
For single and we just don't really have a lot.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
To like It's not even that, but it's gonna sound superficial.
But anytime I've had like an accomplishment, the people that
all of a sudden come back in the world work,
I'm like, oh, you for sure would be like yes
when I like this is gonna not to compare myself
to Michael Jackson, but at his funeral, all the celebrities
that came out like how much they loved him, like
were y'all the last twenty years that man's life sure
nowhere to be found. I can't. I could name my
(06:29):
tap my head who would be there like him and
I were close, but I would.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Wake up like no, and I'd be like, I don't
even know who you.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Are, and that's that's why we need sauce there. Actually
he hadn't talked to you in seven years.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Like Also, John knows that there's a five minute speech
limit on everybody and they have to have already written
their speeches because I've been to too many funerals where
I mean, I've been to a lot where people just
are up there for an hour.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yeah, it's not open Mike Night at the Apostle's not.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Open Mike Night. I just want everybody to take a
shot at the casket and leave.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Yeah. So anyway, but.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
Like, isn't there usually like one person. I haven't been
to a funeral in a minute, but like, isn't there
like maybe one or two people who are asked to
speak and not just like anybody can get up willy willy,
And I'm not.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
A funerals it's anybody like they do that.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
Yeah, So a lot of funerals I've gone to, they
let whoever if you want to add, and they'll have
like specific people. But even my uncle's funeral, my family
were clearly talkers. And it's it's my dad's side of
the family. So I love your Grandma, she's he talked
for an hour. I was like, yeah, so is the
oral traction of his life. It's the whole start to finish.
And my dad had already gone and my uncle. That's
(07:32):
like two hours right there.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Well, listen, there's that. That's a little different. Happy Friday.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
But I don't want I don't want people sit there
for two hours.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Okay, let's sorry, author, I agree, that's my fault. I
introduce it. That's my fault. Let me do this next.
Let's change paths if we can for a second. Father's
