Speaker 1 (00:02):
Everything is celebrity sauce has for entertainment apart which you
got for us.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
So the nominations for this year's MTV Video Music Awards
are out or like the vm MAS uh, Lady gagat
Domine's list with twelve nominations, followed by Bruno Mars with eleven,
Kendrick Lamar has ten, and then Rose and Spring Carpenter
they are both tied for eight noms, and then uh
Ariana Grande and The Weekend are tied for seven. So uh,
pretty much uh Ariana Grande's Brighter Day's ahead, and then
(00:27):
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars died with a smile, and
then op Day and then man Chat like they they
all are in. They're all against each other for Video
of the Year as well as The Weekend's Playboy and
then not like us like we could be here all
day talking about it. But pretty much it is about
what you expected. I will say, though, I was a
little surprised that Lady Gaga has the most nominations just
because you know, I feel like Hendrick Lamar really like
(00:50):
took over this year.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Uh, but ye be man, that means Goga is going
to be.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
There well, yeah, it happens usually how.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Good award shows where somebody's a little bit like, okay
should get an Icon Award or to perform, and that's
when they're sitting in the front row, like I think
something happened the ward shows the last like ten years
where it's like before people are winning, they be like
ten rows back in the middle, and now they're like, hey,
we'll put you in the front so you can walk
three feet, gets your ward and leave exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
And a lot of people just don't go to the
I don't want to say a lot, but you don't
go to as many anymore because there's just so money.
Great and then when it comes to our Best New Artist,
Alex Warren, Ella Langley, Gdifres, Lil Young and Somber, they're
all nominated, which makes sense because they're all so great.
And then for Ours of the Year, it's bad Bunny Morgan,
Wall and Taylor Swift, Beyonce Lamar, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Sorry
(01:37):
I almost send Tomarre Jackson, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga. In
the weekend, they are all nominated for Best Artists of
the yearn No, that's crazy. Yeah, I don't know anyway,
So the MTV VMA's they will be airing live at
eight pm on CBS and of course MTV September seventh
and Paramount Plus will also be streaming it. So Taylor Swift,
she could be adding a new house to her real
(02:00):
estate profile because multiple sources have been confirming that in
the last month, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey were house
hunting in Ohio. This makes sense, They've been together over
two years. So at the time it was published that
it was in an exclusive account of their lunch and
they were visiting this little town and in the report
the couple was returning from where Travis grew up. What
(02:22):
is that New Heights Because there's like the podcast mentioning
their tour of homes when they were at this lunch,
but it was where they were It's called Chagrin Falls.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
I hope I've had that right.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
I mean, we're not in Ohio, so but the neighborhood
has been described as the kind of place where wealth
is abundant and babies are born with fully funded five
twenty nine accounts. Okay, Taylor and Trey. Taylor and Travis,
they visited a lot of homes in the area. Only
a handful of mansions were listed though, for over two
million dollars, and those are the ones that they visit.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
So and every one they did.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Visit had to have at least seven thousand square feet
of living space.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
I get that, Yeah, totally.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, that's like eighty of my apartments.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
I don't even guess mine is.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
It's I had a cohabitate with my boyfriend. I don't
want to have to like yell for him.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
I want to at least thirty five just for me.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah, I might alread get my ten k steps looking
for and Friday Lights. I don't know if you watched
the show. I know John that you did. I loved
the show. But yes, but Tim Riggins's played by Taylor Kish,
so that's how he rose to fame. He's been in
a lot of other stuff. But they did offer him
a role in the upcoming reboot, and he turned it down.
He said that he's not going to go back and
(03:33):
that he basically this is like when it was on
the red carpet for his new show, The Terminal List
Dark Wolf. But he did say that he will leave
the door open for Gus appearances. He said, I'll do
a cameo. I would do just one and it has
to be out of it has to be out of
my control though, which like I don't really understand the part,
but he just doesn't want like a reoccurring role basically.
But it kind of bums me out because, like I,
(03:55):
I love to look at him. If you're love, you
to look at him for Tonight, The Real Housewives Miami's
on Bravo, Who Wants to Millionaires on ABC, Big Billers
on CBS Wednesday is back with season two on Netflix today,
and then Platonic is back also a season two on
Apple TV Plus.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Thanks Auscer, Welcome.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
If you need something to listen to your thoughts Shower
podcast out today talking about the best types of friends
to have, you can listen. Why miss radio dot com listen.
We are not a political show, however, if there happens
to be any politicians listening. If I was president, one
of the first things I would do it should be
illegal for hospitals to charge for parking. That is one
of the most egregious things to disagree. You're already paying
(04:34):
thousands of dollars. You're there because you don't want to be,
And then the audacity to have to pay for parking
and go to hospital. It is crazy.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
It's wild to La.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
This woman in LA was given a seven eight hundred
dollars parking bill after visiting the hospital.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
What So she went to Glennendale MOORYL Hospital on Friday,
spend forty five minutes inside a facility. The parking machine
said she entered the lot three years ago. In charge
your seventy eight hundred dollars?
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Which also that doesn't seem like for three years a
parking If it was three years, that seems relatively not
that much for her expensive hospitals.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Are yes, oh yeah, anyway, she said.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
The parking lot attendant accused her of parking there for weeks.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
It's are you working on commission on that? What?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Like?
Speaker 3 (05:17):
How do you know? How do you know? Right?
Speaker 2 (05:20):
And they wouldn't let her out unless you paid seven
thousand dollars. I would call the cops. Also, you didn't
toe the car? Yeah, if it was there for weeks?
All So, I've seen this car at bwi's parking lot
for years, and like people draw on it and I'm
wondering why they don't tell it?
Speaker 3 (05:32):
She said? How can we?
Speaker 1 (05:34):
How can when people receiving healthcare something like this happened.
It's appalling. That's my concern that this is something that's systematic.
I don't hear any inclination to correct it.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
It's wild.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
And I know that some hospitals you don't have to
pay for parking, but like a lot of them you do.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
It's wild and you and you're already there. Maybe you're sad,
got you got to visit a loved one if you
don't have any money and you're trying just to get by,
and then you're.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Just spending money to see the loved one. Not cool.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Nobody goes and that's a baby being born. Nobody goes
to the hospital. Yeah, happy, Yeah, it's not even even
when the baby's being born. It's still like, uh, hopefully
nobody's like, hell, we're going to the hospital.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Yeah. A lot of the parking company said it was
an air They're gonna try a man way. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
The hospital says they apologize for any inconvenience or concern
this may have caused.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
Shut up.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Why would that even be allowed to get escalated to
the point that this parking attendant like like show me
the proof.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Sometimes like parking attendants of every customer service group. They
tend to be the biggest d's for some reason. It's like,
hey again, are you making commission?
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Especially I'm going to say this and please don't cancel me.
DC parking attendants are so mean for parking lots, you
like parking garages that you cannot parkings are so small.
Baltimore parking attendants. I've always had a great time, but
they're like, oh honey, we all take American Express. But girl,
I'll see you that twenty books like ye got you? Well.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
I remember was in Arlington years ago and the garage closed.
Earliest was something that they closed. I got their ten
thirty and they were trying and blame me. I was like,
it's ten thirty, Yeah, your sciences midnight, it's not closing.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Well, the gates down in front of me.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
There's something And I don't know if this is right. Okay,
I'm gonna say this. I do not know if this
is correct. But last year when I was hanging out,
that guy is always park in a parking garage and
I found something on Google that said that they can't
toe out of Arlington parking garages like your cars. So
like they literally like I think legally, and I'm again
I'm maybe maybe this is a lie. I'm going I'm
(07:26):
saying this, but I would leave my car there and
every weekend they leave me a note like you can't
park here, but I never got a ticket and they
never get towed.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Let's not take that for word though.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
In case, I'm saying you should google it because I
now live there, so I don't need to do that.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
I'm saying you google it. But to our hospitals stop, hey,
can you stop?
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Like we already can't afford to like pay even our
hospital bill.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
So also, if you're a hospital and you're losing money, bro,
that's on you. Yeah how hey yeah yeah, there should
be no way.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Yeah, let me get this next be your Wednesday? Is
this creating a hostile work environment at a wedding intern?
Speaker 3 (07:57):
John in your morning show True Idio
