Will and Abby first met at a bar about a month ago and immediately hit it off. Will tells us that after they meeting they did a Pilates class with one another and also went to a cooking class for their second date. Will thought things were going in the right direction, but for some reason he hasn’t heard from Abby in while. Will mentions that they were going to watch Stranger Things together, but ever since they made plans Will feels like he’s been ghosted.

We call Abby trying to figure out if there is anything else between her and Will that happened that may have caused things to go wrong and she tells us that she wasn’t a fan of the voicemail Will left on her phone. Find out what’s really going on in this Second Date Update!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Second date update on intern John your Morning show. This
is the time of year we tend to get a
bunch more emails than throughout the year. Obviously it's copying season.
You got the holidays coming. You want to know where
you stand with somebody. Yeah, so you meet somebody, could
be online, could be in person. You think there's a vibe.
Then they stopped talking to you. We try to see
what went wrong. Well, good morning, Hey, good morning. So

(00:24):
let's get into this. Walk me back about a month
and a half ago. You and Abby met where or
how I guess.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
We met at a bar. But then we uh, you know,
we met and said hello, we kind of liked each other,
and we got talking about uh stuff we're into, and
so we went to a pilates class to get nice.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Okay, wait, see you meet at the bar and who
approaches who first?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Well I did because I was I was I was
going up to get uh from my friend, and she
was at the bar with some with a girl, a girlfriend.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
And very nice.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
So I have to kind of like wedge in, you know,
and so I said, I'm so sorry, you know. So
that that's how we met.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
It was. It was it.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Was fun, It was kind of a little sure.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Whose idea was it to do a pilates class, because
that is dangerous territory if you're an amateur.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, so fun, Well she you know, she was they
were talking about Plate's class, and so, uh, you know,
it was her and she said, have you ever done it?

Speaker 1 (01:34):
And I said, actually, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I've been wanting to, and she said, well come on,
you want to, you.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Know, take care.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
That's a wild first dame. Yeah, I mean, I guess
put you through the ringer. Okay, so we had that.
We also took a cooking class.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
It looks like as well, yeah, yeah, okay, which one
was harder? Actually the Yeah that's probably fair okay, And
so okay, so we we have like the kind of
the group date. I guess for the plates class they
need did more of the intimate date in your words

(02:06):
via the email, everything seemed like you guys knew each
other for years, Like it seemed like got the inside jokes,
conversation float easily. It almost felt like, you know, not
to be corny, but like the stars kind of aligned,
and that's how you guys met and clicked.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, that's pretty much exactly how it goes and how
it's been going. Yeah, and so yeah, well you know
we didn't see each other over Thanksgiving his family stuff,
and yeah, but you know, this last weekend, we were
just supposed to get together and watch Stranger Things.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Of course we.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Both liked that, and uh, somehow we just I don't
know we you know, it was it was text back
and forth, and you know, it just sort of didn't
work out, and.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
It was, uh, well, let's let's pause, because that you
make it something like that was consensual, we can't do it.
But your email reads that she kind of you off.
Is that more accurate?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Well it seemed that way because she wouldn't hit me.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Back, right, Yeah, okay, So that that and that's where
we get uh that's where I think we can kind
of come in help because to me, I think it's
more so amazing you got past the first line of
defense at the bar, like the fact that her friend
let you talk to her alone, because a lot of
times the girlfriends like lee blockers and you won't get
anywhere near the quarterbacks, so to speak. So we meet
at the bar, we do the cooking class, we do

(03:29):
the uh plates class. You're supposed to watch Stranger Things
this past weekend. She completely stopped talking to you, and
that's kay, why you want to do this? Is that fair?

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Okay, so let's just let me call and get her
on hold and try to get her sabe of the
story because it seems like everything correct.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
Yeah, I would say so.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Well, meet cute action at the bar. I mean class
you all for yourself plus tear something? Hello kayas Abby, Yes,
it's internship. I got sauce and roads here as well.
We talked in the airal quick about something. Nothing bad,
just need like two minutes of your time.

Speaker 6 (04:07):
Oh gosh, such a I promise.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
We got some other line here. Well, if you want
to say hello, hey, nailed it. And so the reason
for Abby is we're doing a second date update. Will
let us know you guys met at the bar by
a month ago. I hit off to Pilate's class, did
a cooking class. But you guys are supposed to watch
Stranger Things this past weekend, which, by the way, fantastic
four episodes that you basically stopped responding and blew them off.

(04:30):
So we're just trying to see if it was something
that came up or if there's bigger, bigger things the
Stranger things I.

Speaker 7 (04:36):
Play if you will, Yeah, well, I guess I'll just
be you know, pretty blunt here, you know, like you know,
Blackout Wednesday, which is.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
The Wednesday things giving the biggest bar night of the airsoe.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
Yeah, I was busy.

Speaker 7 (04:54):
I mean, I haven't done that in you know, a while,
but and like whatever, I'm not judging, but I did
get several uh, pretty unhinged voicemails from Will, like drunk
voicemails like I don't know, maybe like ten wow, and
me like progressively more drunk, and like, I mean that

(05:15):
would have been funny to me maybe back when I.

Speaker 6 (05:17):
Was like in my twenties, Like what do you say?

Speaker 7 (05:22):
Though?

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Yeah, I mean it wasn't anything bad, but it was
just like I've told all my friends about you and
that I've told them how beautiful you are, and I
just and that's nice, but I just, I mean, we
haven't been dating for that long.

Speaker 6 (05:36):
It just it just came up really immature, and I
just sort of got.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Not this for to build a time? Did these calls
like wake you up? Are you already sleeping? And then
you woke up in the morning too.

Speaker 7 (05:49):
I had it, thankfully, I mean, thank god, I had
my phone on you know, sleep mode. But I woke
up at like seven in the morning and saw like
eleven voice messages, and honestly my first song was like, oh,
like something happened.

Speaker 6 (05:59):
Is he okay?

Speaker 7 (06:01):
And then to just hear you know, the night go
on pross as it did for him, I was like,
I don't know if he's sent us the hangover?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Actually, well, were you a stay a little billy on
that Wednesday or do you remember any of that?

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Uh? Well, you know, I do remember it, of course,
because I was. I mean it was like you said,
it's it's the day before I'm gonna go and see
all my family, really nervous.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
And then we get the drunk part. We get a
drunk part. But so do you, like you remember you
remember leaving the voice moulse?

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Of course I do.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah for sure the back Let's say,
are you a team Well or team Abbey?

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Eight seven seven nine nine five for six State won
to call nine ninety three three eight at text. Second
date update on Intern John Your Morning Show. Second date
update on Internjohn in Your Morning Show, we have talked
to Will and Abbey. They met in the wild. First
date lotties class, which that's it, that is Yeah, absolutely,
they did cooking class as well. They're supposed to hang

(07:06):
out this past weekend. She blew him off, according to Hers,
because on Blackout Wednesday, he called and left a bunch
of voicemails drunk with his buddies. Your thoughts eight seven, seven, nine, nine,
five four six eight one to call nine ninety three
three eight to text will get Shinhold's sauce? What do
you think him?

Speaker 8 (07:20):
I don't know because I personally at first I was like,
oh yeah, like team well for sure, and then now
I'm like kind of tea.

Speaker 6 (07:29):
I understand like.

Speaker 8 (07:29):
Both sides, but also I as somebody who loves the
drunk dial, I would rather be a grasshopper farmer than
actually call somebody that I just went on two days
with eleven times.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Like a grasshopper farmer.

Speaker 6 (07:44):
Think about it. They have to be farmed. Okay, you
know thetoy.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Would you be? Would you hit the XU? A guy
you just started seeing called the Times?

Speaker 8 (07:51):
I understand like that. What's that saying? Like drunk words
are thought? I don't necessarily actually believe that at all,
but I mean it's like flattering.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
You're thinking drunk, but eleven times is wild.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (08:03):
It's also like I'm not trying to be like rude
or disrespectful, but I do you think it's like a
little bit juvenile. It gives like, oh, you just graduated
from college or like you're in college.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Maybe it's just wonder struck. Yeah, I mean it's so fair.

Speaker 8 (08:15):
I do think she's a little judgy about it though.
That's why I'm like, I don't think they're a good match.
But and she does.

Speaker 6 (08:20):
She kind of sounds like a She doesn't sound very fun.

Speaker 8 (08:23):
She's like like I didn't in colle which I don't understand.
I just said that, But she doesn't sound like she
like I could go out to dinner and be fine
on on Blackout Wednesday, which was I did Did I
go out this year? Yes, but I hadn't gone out
in like five years.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
I would think it was a random Wednesday. That's different.

Speaker 8 (08:39):
Yeah, it was literally like the biggest part end of
the year, which like is it? But I am judging
him for calling her over and over and over again.
They just went on two dates and that's it, and
one was not even I don't I wouldn't say the
plates one is even a date.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
I would rather lay in traffic.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
I think that's a fun date for like down the road.

Speaker 8 (08:54):
Anyway, my whole point is I don't I don't think
they should just hang out ever again.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
I'm just I'm gonna go in at Perry Hall tea
a good morning, good morning, what'd you want to say?
A second date update?

Speaker 9 (09:03):
I just think eleven voicemails is unhinged. I think that's
a lot. I think if my fiance did that, I
would think something was wrong.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
That'd be my first thought.

Speaker 9 (09:13):
But after two dates, I'd be like, yeah, what happens
if they're in an argument or she's busy at work.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
It's weird.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Let me ask this t hypothically speaking, if I have
a coworker who with drunk calls me and she'll call
ten to fifteen times, is that unhinged?

Speaker 9 (09:29):
So I'm sort of team Sauce.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
So no, I ain't say it with sauce, but no, no,
I know, no, thank you for listening, A great day,
Thanks you too, nice. So Brand Carpenter's like last album
has a song about drunk calling, and the first day
I heard him, like showy, this is you.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
So you'll be like, go go juices you.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:49):
Also, it was sixteen times, Sean, sixteen times.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
I listen, I have different though I.

Speaker 8 (09:53):
Have to call you twice. Then I think drunk me
and like, I'm just gonna keep calling Oh did it
go through?

Speaker 1 (09:57):
I don't know, But then you'll call me and then
blame me for calling you. And you called me at.

Speaker 8 (10:02):
Least you were an eric on blackout ones day, because
I took him on a whole tour of my life.
Oh god, I was like in the back of the
uber and I was like, I'm not to loose service,
don't hang up. He's like, okay, Thanksgiving Thanksgiving, and I
was telling him I was thankful for him. I tell
old people I won't let you hang up and I'll
keep calling you back, and like, I.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Know, I know your thoughts with that.

Speaker 10 (10:20):
Secondary I think if you do not like a person
like how they act when they're drunk, you should not
be because I've dated people where they were not nice
when they were drunk, and that was awful.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
My husband is the sweetest man.

Speaker 10 (10:36):
In the world Joanna General like every day, but when
he's drunk he is even sweeter.

Speaker 6 (10:42):
But he's also like to dance with John.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
He died six years ago this past weeks.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
So you think you can dance, John, you barely moved.

Speaker 10 (10:54):
I don't even consider that dancing because.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
You barely even moved your hips.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
Me.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
I think you like lower. Yeah, I member like in
that moment, thinking like we're really good dancing and.

Speaker 8 (11:06):
Rosa just sharing at you from like like twenty fight away.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
These guys doing.

Speaker 10 (11:11):
But I stand by that if you if you are
a person who drinks and your partner drinks, and you
do not not like that person who they become when
they have some alcohol in their system, do not be
with that person, Absolutely sure, because then there it's not fun.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Let me go, Chelsea, good morning. What do you want
to say with second date?

Speaker 11 (11:33):
I'm not very good with names, but originally I was
going to be team girl. Yeah, but because those are
toysmils are annoying. But the fact that she stood him
up and makes me be team buy because just have
the community to communicate. Yeah, we don't communicate in this

(11:53):
generation anymore. We just peace out.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Yeah, absolutely, Chelsea. Can we make your designated drunk caller?
We call you and leave you voice mouse.

Speaker 11 (12:03):
More than likely I I'll probably answer because I like
to be there for people.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
But clazy chose to about your hold and get you
a coffee for being so sweet. If you want to
do a secondy update, DM's are open at Wymous Radio,

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
