Speaker 1 (00:00):
In turns On and your morning shows.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
We appreciate you hanging out on this Thursday, intern John
in your morning show. Obviously, not the brightest of days.
Last night there was an American Airlines flight that had
a collision with a black Hawk helicopter landing at DCA.
This is one of those shows where it's uh, We'll
try and navigate with the news as it comes in.

(00:24):
I know there's a press conference coming up at seven
thirty this morning. Not a great day, obviously are Our
thoughts go out to the families who lost loved ones
and into the rescue crews who are working to the
has been reports that the I guess Moco sent a
bunch of rescue workers down to help as well. So
we'll be with you the entire show today. The number

(00:46):
nine ninety three three eight to text, you can call
eight seven seven nine ninety five four six A one.
We'll have more on the crash with the Three Things
coming next from.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
The City that Changes the World. Peers Rose with three
things you need to know for.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Our Thursday Rose Japras So.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
A massive search operation is underway after a passenger aircraft
carrying sixty four people collide in midair.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
With a US Army black Hawk helicopter. I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (01:14):
Three soldiers were on board near the Reagan inter National Airport.
There are three hundred first responders that are searching the
freezing Potomac River.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
It's really not great conditions for them right now.

Speaker 5 (01:25):
Obviously, the waters is very cold, it's very dark, the
water's murky as well. The plane was American Eagle Flight
fifty three forty two from Wichita, Kansas, and the helicopter
was on a training flight. According to reports, what we're
seeing is at least nineteen bodies have been recovered, and
we do know that among the passengers were American figure

(01:46):
skating athletes, coaches and family members who had been at
a development camp in Wichita, and there were also Russian
skaters that were on board. Russian state media is reporting
that so Reagan Airport is going to be closed until
at least eleven o'clock. There's a press brief being at
seven thirty. We're going to keep you updated as much
we can. There's so much information coming constantly, so that's

(02:09):
our number one priority today. But we do know that
seven thirty we should be getting more information.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, it's a tragic day, certainly, I think mister Rodgers
had always look for the helpers. Certainly so to our
first responders, thank you. I do want to add too,
I've seen folks on social media quick to bring up politics.
If your first thought during a tragedy it's a post
about politics, just know you are an idiot. That's not helpful,

(02:40):
that's not there. There'll be a day in time to
get to the root cause of things. Right now, there's
sixty seven families who are doing that. I saw news
there's folks at the airport waiting to pick up their
loved ones, which is tragic.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
There was a fellow.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Posted a text from his wife's saying that she's landing
in twenty minutes. Now is not the time to get
a shot in politically that that does nothing but.

Speaker 6 (03:05):
Make you look at great when we're already so surrounded
by it in the last week and a half. So
why like, we don't need to pile on so these
not these are human people, like lives is our lives.

Speaker 7 (03:15):
It's not.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
It's just not the time to do that.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
Obviously, there's investigation going into I know that there was
the audio from the helicopter to like the control center
that has been released and it's there. It just seems
like such a tragedy and there was some sort of.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Error, miscommunication. I'm not No one really knows what happened.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Well, and that's that's the true the dangerous speculating one
hundred percent.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
We just don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Yeah, those black Eye calicopters have obviously high technology on them.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Clearly something didn't go right, but we don't know correct.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
But what we do know is right now, as Rose mentioned,
the first responders down there, it's I think the water
is thirty something degrees. There is there's ice in the waters.
So to our first responders, again, even if you're not
on the scene, we thank you. It's gotta be a
horrific day. Certainly they were talking to the police, so
this would be the fire chief as well, saying that
their first goal last night was to obviously try to

(04:12):
save lives and then preserve the evidence. But the fire chief,
I thought was very powerful, said lives always come first, Yeah, absolutely,
and that when it comes to disasters, they always work
with the police and it's always get We try to
save lives first and then piece together's happening. So obviously
a very kind of fluid situation it's I mean a
lot of stuff coming in throughout the day and that

(04:33):
we will keep you updated as we get more interurn
Johnny Mary Show, Yeah, I appreciate you listening. Certainly a
dark day in the DMV overnight American Airlines flight crashing
with a black Hawk helicopter landing in Reagan. There a
lot of updates kind of coming in slowly. According to
NBC Washington, cruise have pulled over thirty bodies from the river,

(04:54):
which I mean, it's even crazy to say that sentence
to the rescue crew that they they say that the
particular areas about half a mile wide where they believe
the wreckage is. The water is about thirty degrees. They're
showing video of like just giant chunks of ice. The
reports last night was that the I believe, they said
the fire rescue squad divers were able to actually go

(05:15):
into the plane and try to look for survivors, which
is crazy. They also reported to believe the plane was
upside down when it was in the water, which is.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
That's what that's what looks like.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, so it's again very fluid situation. We know flights
were diverted to dulles. It sounds like as well, Metro
State up late last night to get folks home, But
NBC also reporting the plane was about three hundred feet
in the ground. I mean, listen, we've all flown in
the Reagan. It's it's crazy a thing that there was
folks who just thought they're going to land.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
I've also been looking at Reagan, like, the training alone
that a pilot has to take to be able to
fly into DCA is very extensive because it's a very
difficult airport to fly into because of the monuments, the
restricted airspaces, the lights, especially at night with all of
the lights from the city. Like, it's it's a very

(06:07):
complicated airport, so there's a lot of training that goes
into it.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Well, NBC report too that particular runways one of the
busiest runways in the country. I guess they were trying
to have more flights going to Reagan than the airport
administrations like, hey, it's about as busy as it can get.
It's tragic. They're talking to the senders from Kansas. The
flight was coming in from Wichita, and the sender was
saying this particular flight is only about a year old

(06:31):
and that he had lobbied American Airlines to have the flight,
and that you think about I'm from a small Minnesota,
relatively small state, he had mentioned. It's true that there's
a lot of folks in Kansas. There are no people
on that flight because it's such a small nick community.
It's tragedy. I can't say enough to our to our
first responders too. I know this is you deal with
tragedy every day. It's a lot. There's a ports that

(06:53):
Moco had sent down folks to help. I think there's
like three hundred rescue.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
Worker reue workers on scene, and that was that. It
hasn't update since five hours ago. No, so it's probably
more now.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yes, And I know that we know there'll be an
official press conference at seven point thirty this morning. It's
it's a tragic, unspeakable tragedy. If you want to say anything,
if you happen to be an expert on I guess
flights on air Traffic Control nine ninety three three eight attacks,

(07:23):
you can also call eight seven seven nine ninety five
four six A one. But the collective heart of the
DMV is certainly broken today.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
It's the intern Johnny Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
We appreciate you listening on this certainly dark day of
the DMV in the entire country. It's intern John in
your morning show. Overnight a American Airlines slight colliding with
a black Hawk helicopter as it was trying to land DCA.
We're getting information as it comes in, and I guess
as to bear with us because it is kind of fluid.
NBC reporting that they set up a makeshift morgue down

(07:57):
near the Potomacs. They have kind of deal with this
many I guess bodies and invent my bus in decades. Yeah,
the news conference and be around seven thirty. They're saying
this morning, I cannot say thank you enough to the
first responders who are down. There's over three hundred folks
who are trying to recovery missions. Certainly, now we do
know that there was a bunch of members from the

(08:18):
US figure skating community who were on the flight back
from what I guess the training apparently is in Kansas, which.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
I don't know. Yeah, I text my aunt about it.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Okay, okay, because your your aunt in use.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
She probably knows some of the people on the flight.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Absolutely, So we will continue giving updates as we get them,
but certainly our hearts go out to all those who
are affected.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
We'll have more next hang up.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
We appreciate you being here intern John in your morning show.
Certainly one of the darkest days in the dav in
recent memory last night in the American Airlines flight from
which Duck Kansas fly with an Army helicopter as the
plane was trying to the land at DCA.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
We are certainly seven for the loss.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Instead of doing Hollywood, Shelby Saw says, more updates, what
do you have for us US?

Speaker 6 (09:29):
So the latest has come out of the last few
minutes is that you did talk about this. But a
recovery effort has been set up at the DC Fire
Helipad on South Capitol Street southwest and DC to receive
the remains from the Potomac River crash. Like you said earlier,
they have recovered so far thirty plus bodies. Boats are
arriving at the area and ambulances transferred them to these

(09:50):
red tents which is serving as a temporary morgue. And
they're saying that this is the biggest recovery effort underway
that they've had in decades. So sure, it's really cool.
But yeah, So the plane had sixty passengers and four
crew members on board, and it crashed right around nine
nine o'clock last night. Other than that, nothing really new

(10:12):
has come out so far. They are doing the seven
to thirty press conference. Also, if you if you haven't
seen this yet, if you believe that you may have
a loved one on board, you can actually call this
American Airlines a toll free number eight hundred and six
seven nine eight two one five, and they they're going
to have you like they have a lot of people
answering the phones to help you out, they said, And yeah,

(10:35):
that's the latest.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
I'm always kind of in times like this go back
to the mister Rogers quote of look for the people helping.
And we know there's been about three hundred or so
first responders been working basically around the clock the last
nine hours or so.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Potomac, this particular area Potomacs by half mile wide, you know,
the waters about thirty degrees. The water's certainly murky, it's
dark outside. They've been showing footage and NBC of a
helicopter with a spotlight just trying to shine light and
do what little they can, I guess to find something.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
But until it's the sunrises. It sounds like.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
They're it's just like like recovery missions at night are
just so dangerous already, and in that area of the
current going into different directions on like that delta, if
you want to call it that, it's just it's it's
a lot I can't even imagine.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
We know too that Montgomery County has sent firefighters to
help man the fire stations in DC so that in
case there are out there emergencies that the build to
help out.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
For sure.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Well, it sounds like to you again, there's a lot
coming out. It's kind of coming fast and then slowing
down a little bit. So we're trying to sort through
what we know is confirmed to what's not. It lead
to be confirmed that the helicopter pilot had was talking
to control tower, it had made visual with the airplane. Yeah,
but they're also different experts on NBC saying the problem
is though, yeah, you can make visual, but you're also

(11:53):
there's a lot going on. The plane was flying about
one hundred and forty miles per hour. You're watching your
own stuff as well. It does so like to the
plane was supposed to land and a different runway originally
was routed to runway thirty three, which means that's the
one that's on the river. So that's you ever Land DCA.
You landed on the river through a land from the
east as well, So again we know that the several

(12:17):
members of the US figure skanning community also on board.
So it's a very sad day in the DMB.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
There's also a lot of road closures right now on DC. Yes,
so you're aware sot around South Capitol Street.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Yes, we will get more information to you as we
get it, but of course our thoughts and prayers to
those lost.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Its intern Johnny Morn Show appreciate you listening internshown in
your morning show.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
One thing we've found doing the show is that you
can be an expert on anything. Not us, not even
not even close. But there is this luxurious baby naming
expert who says, if you give your kid a luxurious name,
you're setting them up for a sweet life.

Speaker 6 (12:58):
Did they become a luxury Yes, baby naming expert.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
On TikTok Or doesn't quite say where where an Alisa
Thomas got her her grand's from. It's a good question, though, Tom.
Let me ask you this, Shelby, do you think you
were set up first week life. Given your first name,
I think.

Speaker 6 (13:16):
My parents really strive for me to grow up in
the South, maybe like like maybe like we should have
moved to Georgia when I was like five, okay, because
I just feel like my name would fits in better there.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
Sure aren't you named after the car? Or no?

Speaker 6 (13:30):
I don't really know anymore anymore. I don't know if
my dad's like, yeah, Naana after the car, and I
almost like, no, you're not.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
So maybe in his head it was that was the case,
but your mom.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
But I don't know.

Speaker 6 (13:41):
My mom had a baby naming book and she found
Shelby on the boy's side and she still has the book.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Wasn't in your other name be Persephone? Or wasn't for Stephanie?

Speaker 6 (13:50):
I think, yeah, she's going through like a Greek mythology phase.
All our cats are named like Aphrodity and take any
it makes sense.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Rose. Do you think your name said she have a
luxurious life?

Speaker 5 (14:02):
I wouldn't necessarily say luxurious. I think set me up
for a life of like Grandma aesthetic.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Sure my parents, I would say, you know when on
my eating one, I uber eached taco bell last night,
So pretty luxurious life?

Speaker 6 (14:18):
Oh what I have to do with you.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
I have a pretty luxurious life.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
I had the Cantina Casadylla sick, and then I had
the Cantina Burrito. Then it was a little crazy, like
when what got the quote unquote healthy options, Juria's locos
tacos nice? I was, I'll say of these for later,
did I yeah? Later that night?

Speaker 8 (14:37):
Not?

Speaker 4 (14:38):
They're in the fridge now, my belly.

Speaker 6 (14:39):
You don't think your parents named you after like the
Porta John.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Maybe probably after my dad. He's a Vietnam veteran.

Speaker 6 (14:45):
He is what I have to do with.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
That's what I was saying.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
After Shelby my father, and you thought you were friends
with him.

Speaker 6 (14:52):
I know, I know your dad's name. I know that
you're not even John the John Junior. You're John the Second.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
I am junior.

Speaker 6 (14:59):
You're John the Second.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
It's the same thing.

Speaker 6 (15:00):
It's not the same. No, it's not actually not. It's see,
you are set up for luxurious life because John the
Second it's junior. I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
I'm telling you your.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
License right now.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
They don't have the should be on there.

Speaker 6 (15:12):
No, I've not seen it.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Also, my licenses, I'm five ft tall, so there's discrepancies there.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
No, it just says, says the second's worth certificate.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
I have no idea what that is.

Speaker 6 (15:22):
Are you sure it's a junior?

Speaker 4 (15:24):
Says It just says, my doesn't say anything.

Speaker 6 (15:26):
No, I'm pretty sure it's junior, not the second, the second.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
It's if you here's the real question.

Speaker 5 (15:33):
If one day down the line, you have a child
and it's a boy, are you going to name him
John the third?

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Yes, and call him Jack. But I thought about it.
Oh yeah, boom, he's gonna be sick, and if he's not,
go name the next kid, very much like the Foreman.

Speaker 6 (15:49):
George Forman named because George. I don't think that's true.
Who's George for the Foreman? Girl guy?

Speaker 5 (15:59):
And he was okay, thank god, Yes, there's no boxing legend.
George Foreman named all five of his sons George Edward Foreman.

Speaker 6 (16:07):
Boom, all right, well yeah, because he wants his sons
to have something in common.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Besides their DNA family and that upbringing.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
Yeow, of course is George Junior, George third, who goes
by Monk, George the fourth, which goes by big Wheel.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
They all have nicknames.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Well I think actually didn't. Michael jacksons that Prince Michael
and Prince Michael the second. Aren't those the kids names?
But they called the segone a blanket. I'm almost positive
they're both Prince Michael and Prince Michael the second.

Speaker 6 (16:32):
Somebody looking up, I am, I'm just googling Prince.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
Michael, and well just google Michael Jackson kids.

Speaker 6 (16:38):
And then we were just kind of talking as you're saying.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
So some of the luxurious baby names Cross Expert Number one.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
Valentino okay.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
Originating from the Latin word valens, meaning strong or healthy.
The name Valentina means strong as a villain. A strong
man is what it means.

Speaker 6 (16:57):
I mean, I guess there is a designer brand, so
it does kind of sound luxury. I don't even know
what anything Valentino looks like, though.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
So Valentino used to Beak Club in Minnesota. They did
club nights at and it was not luxurious, so probably
that much right there.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
It was in South St.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Paul, Minnesota, which is next to a meat packing plant,
so it smelled like pork outside.

Speaker 6 (17:14):
So in case you're wondering, I'm definitely gonna go there.
I'm still scrolling. I'm sorry, I'm listening to you.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
You can google Michael Jackson kids.

Speaker 6 (17:21):
Yeah, but then I'm on the paid the Wikipedia page
now because it's it's a lot of reading all your
hit prints in Biggie. That's all of that says. But uh, like, okay,
it doesn't matter.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Next one is that Adelaide a d L A I
D E. How would say that Adelaide? Adelaide has row roots? Okay,
it means noble or nobility.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
Okay, there's that movie Adelaide. Actually I went to high
school with a girl who named her kid Adelaide.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
Okay, does it strike you as nobility or I.

Speaker 6 (17:56):
Feel like it sounds kind of like is it like
an Irish name? I know that's what it seems like
to me.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
Leopold Okay, it was like, I feel.

Speaker 6 (18:04):
Like that guy in Animal County kind of ruined that name.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
For everybody County.

Speaker 6 (18:08):
Wasn't he like the county delegate and he got in
trouble with the law doing some sketchy stuff not from
the county. Well, I feel like that's what I think.
I was in high school, so I didn't really pay
attention to politics, but I heard about some of the
things he did and that was pretty gross.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
The name has German German roots meaning bold people.

Speaker 6 (18:23):
Oh sick? Okay, Uh, Paris Michael Jackson, Prince Michael Jackson,
Michael Joseph Jackson. Okay, I was wrong, Prince Michael Jackson.
The second is what his full name.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Is, Okay. Anastasia.

Speaker 6 (18:36):
I'm I love that that movie growing up. I think
it's such a pre name. You can call them Stasy, Stacey, Anna.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Stasia, the names of Greek origin, meaning resurrection.

Speaker 6 (18:47):
Okay, I thought it was Russian because of.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Well it says particularly.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Uh, it's it's the association the famous Grand Duchess Anastasia
of Russia.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
Yeah, okay, let's go Zephyr.

Speaker 6 (18:59):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
I guess Zephyr sounds like a pretty.

Speaker 6 (19:01):
Good I think it sounds like a like a rock
star name.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
I just think of Zephyr Hills like the water.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
So I texted in nine nine three three when John
doesn't know something, he just makes his truth the truth,
without having any idea.

Speaker 6 (19:13):
That's true, that is true, that truth is true.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
That kind of is the premise in the show. We
just kind of like, yeah, if there's fact checkers on
this show, it would not be great.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
I wish your aunt was listening right now so she
can just prove me right as you being John the
second I'm John Junior. I know it's also it's the
same thing. It's not the same, okay, Jasper. Jasper just
reminds me of Twilight. Also there's I'm sorry, I'm sorry
it does.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
They say, while Jasper is a precious stone, you know,
for its variety's and earthly beauty, it carries literally and
the historical significance as name most notably of the three
wise men in biblical terms. Oh okay, but also yours too,
Shelby whatever.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
But I also could be like Jasper. How about that?

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Like, you know, my cousins have a dog named Jasper spear.

Speaker 6 (20:01):
I don't know what that was. Also, name your dog Jasper.
That's that's something it is. I don't feel like that's
a dog game at all.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
No, Sapphire, the name saying here for luxury. Sapphire sounds
like I'm gonna say it. Everybody's thinking it. Sapphire sounds
like she's working at the close.

Speaker 6 (20:18):
I feel like that's something my mom would have named me.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Sapphire hits the stage at eleven thirty, she's making big
Bucks super Bowl. Yeah, yesh, associated with the most son
after gems, stones, name sapphires.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
Know it's wisdom, virtue, good fortune.

Speaker 6 (20:30):
Okay, I think satire is pretty the name or the
actual thing.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Yeah, I don't agree. The last on this list is Geneva.

Speaker 6 (20:38):
Okay, like the Convention, Yes, I thank you.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Yep, Times of Images of Air, national diplomacy in pristine
natural beauty.

Speaker 6 (20:46):
I don't feel like if you say your name is Geneva,
I'm just gonna be like, your parents just ran out
of ideas.

Speaker 9 (20:51):
Well.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
There is one of those things I don't really necessarily
know if if name affects anything. It's one of those
things where that kids got to have that name.

Speaker 6 (20:58):
I think that I was gonna say, I think that
sometimes it does affect things, because there's some adults I've
met them like, well, your parents really didn't think that
you were going to be taller than I am, and like,
actually try to be adulting out here with that kind name.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Yeah, give me an example.

Speaker 6 (21:11):
I was like actually thinking about this on Saturday, and
I can't remember the name now, but it was something
that was like, Wow, it's wild that you're naming a
fool on adult that you know it's.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
Funny about you.

Speaker 6 (21:20):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Sometimes I think that your screen sharing, your brain, your
bring with us, and we know what you're thinking. But
I can tell you I have no idea sometimes Okay,
well I know where I was when I was thinking
about that. Okay, so I don't know, but I don't
know what the name is.

Speaker 5 (21:34):
But they do say like, as a parent, you need
to realize that you are eventually naming an adult, not
just a baby, because some names are really cute for
like little babies, but then they grow up and it's like, okay,
we'll wait a second.

Speaker 6 (21:45):
Yeah, Eric, Yeah, and I was just an adult, Like
I'm not going to say the one name that my
mom told me because one of our are like my parents,
like friends or like I guess like a general person
in their life should say name their all his name.
And I was like, like they didn't even think that
she was going to grow up and be an adult.
That's silly name.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Yeah, I'm just lucky my name doesn't have to get
underlined by Microsoft word every time.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
You know what I'm saying, Like, that's the that'd.

Speaker 6 (22:09):
Bet you found your name on keychains? There were so
many other jobs that your name was just everywhere.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
What was that like? Because that never happened for me.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
Yeah, my life's pretty sick. It is in my cases.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
I would say the sickest part is that when I
go to the musement park, I can get my name
on a keychain.

Speaker 8 (22:26):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
And I've always lucky storing gas stations. Literally, anyway that
has key change name, I'm probably gonna be there. So
it's pretty sick. Speaking of getting good and so sick
by Neo. Yeah, we appreciate you listening on this Thursday.
Breaking overnight there was an American Airlines flight landing and
DCA collided with a military helicopter. We're getting more reports

(22:50):
with the lace. We'll have that for you next Ham.

(23:18):
We appreciate you listening on this Thursday. It is intern
John in your morning show. If you just waking up
miss Last night, an American Airline swife collided with a
military helicopter landing at Reagan.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
There's a live of mation coming.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
There's a press conference coming at seven thirty rows of
all the latest next hangomers from.

Speaker 8 (23:42):
The city that changes the world.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Peers Rose with three things you need to know for
your Thursday.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Rose.

Speaker 8 (23:49):
What you got for us?

Speaker 5 (23:50):
A large scale search is underway after a mid air
collision between an American Airlines passenger jack carrying sixty four
people and the US Army black Hawk helicopter with three
soldiers on board, near Reagan National Airport. So American Airlines
it's flight fifty three forty two. It was traveling from Wichita,
Kansas to DCA. This happened around nine o'clock last night,
and there's reports of a man who said, I guess

(24:13):
he lives along the Potomac River and said it sounded
like something from a movie or a war zone. I
can't imagine hearing that. So about three hundred first responders
from across the DMV are searching the freezing Potomac River
where the aircraft crashed. It's been very difficult, obviously because
conditions of the freezing water, how dark it's been. Now
with the sun coming up, there's more visibility, so hopefully

(24:36):
that'll help. We do know that DC fire divers were
able to get inside the plane and either walk or
swim through the length of it looking for any survivors,
and the latest reports that over thirty bodies have been recovered.
We do know that several members of the US figure
skating community and two world champion Russian figure skaters were
on board the plane. We do also know Reagan National

(24:56):
Airports closed until at least eleven am. There is going
to a conference at nine third or nine thirty seven thirty,
and according to reports, family members of likely victims have
gathered in an airport lounge waiting for word, just waiting
for updates. So if you believe you may have a
love of one on board a flight fifty three forty two,

(25:17):
there is a phone number you can call for American Airlines.
It's eight hundred six seven nine eight two one five.
And we know that it's one of the most difficult
airports to fly into, like a special training for pilots
to fly in, just because it's so complicated, not just
because it's busy, but it's just a really complex area.

(25:38):
So that's all we have right now. There's not much
more information. They're obviously investigating. They're not sure what happened
because it seemed like there was communication between the black
Hawk and the control center, the control tower, but there
was some sort of era that happened.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Yes, yeah, Mary Trendrew, thank you, as you're welcome. Imagine
this earlier. But this is tragic loss of human life.
This is not a loss of a sports game. So
rushing to Twitter to throw a shade at whoever you
think is responsible, it's not helpful in this moment. So
hughes thanks to the first responders as well. We know
there's reports to the Moco Fire Department filling in the

(26:19):
DC fire, which is you know, it's amazing they're helping
out nine to.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
Ninety three three eight attacks.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Our job to you, we want to inform you, but
also be a bit of a distraction as well. So
we will do War of the Roses by an hour
from now. Hoodie has a challenge for me. I guess next.
So what happens first? Chee turn John in your morning show.
Some of us on the show have a lot of talents.
Then there's a Sauce and Rose here as well. And okay,

(26:46):
so I have a dumb talent that I forever reason
can usually tell a song just one this song is played,
I can usually figure out what is really quickly. You
can see comedy is not yours. My album by the way,
on the number one last year. How do you have

(27:07):
a challenge for me?

Speaker 10 (27:08):
Yes, So normally, like you said, when we do the
music based games, it's we have to wait for you
because you get immediately.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
Yeah, I am gonna alter. What's that song?

Speaker 10 (27:18):
One of the games we play and do one second
versions of songs and see if you can get it
within one second.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
Oh damn?

Speaker 10 (27:24):
Okay, so I follow up the page here. Okay, so yes,
So you'll just say one, two through four, five and
so on. You don't know what the song is, but
you'll have to guess what it is based on the
first second. Is there a certain category or yeah, today's
are two thousands bangers?

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Okay, get this so fast, I'll play. So here's the
first one? How cast Hey?

Speaker 4 (27:47):
Correct? You all seem pressed Shelby in your face.

Speaker 6 (27:55):
I actually knew that one, and I suck at this game.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
So next one? Lord, yeah, sorry, white Amy, white House Rehabit, I.

Speaker 6 (28:04):
Like something else, rehab.

Speaker 10 (28:09):
Look at myself the belt and these are the immediate
first seconds of the song. This is I didn't like
go in halfway to the song in the first second.
We go do the next one. Since you've been kayke Clarkson, these.

Speaker 6 (28:21):
Are easy, though I'm sorry, I'm not concerning yet.

Speaker 4 (28:27):
It's also but that was my last You are killing
the bet though, you know?

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Okay, sorry, next one all right umbrella.

Speaker 8 (28:40):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (28:43):
Shelby.

Speaker 6 (28:44):
I'm just I'm saying to.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
Do you have the next one? No, it's okay, I
think you share the Shelby. Which is one?

Speaker 6 (28:50):
I don't want to That was a Britty Spears song?
Which one was it? Though?

Speaker 4 (28:55):
I know?

Speaker 8 (28:57):
Correct? There?

Speaker 4 (28:57):
You all right? I'm gonna do this one on correct.

Speaker 6 (29:05):
I could be a good name, you.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
Know, Hayley or digital girl. Her cast name is Pickles.

Speaker 6 (29:13):
Good name because isn't there like that movie in the
Dog's Names Captain Pickles.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Yeah, I think that's. Uh, I'm not sure that one movie.

Speaker 6 (29:23):
It's a ts A one where like the Hawk girl
falls along with the t s A dude. Anyway, it
doesn't matter my league.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yes, the next one, face will kill you. I'm really good.
This is never get me money or anything, but it's
it's just fun to ruin the moment for people.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
Maybe you could like make it like a if they
had a trivia or something and they were doing this
and you could just clean up get.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
All that money. So from like eight for eight, I think.

Speaker 6 (29:53):
Bar host it.

Speaker 10 (29:55):
You have to beat your you have to beat you
go in disguise, let's.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
Do I would buy in sac correct thing. This help
me get girls.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
I can identify song in the first second, maybe next one.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
I got a feeling. Do you guys know that one?

Speaker 10 (30:17):
I did know that A lot of the songs in
two thousands have like a signature like yeah, that's.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
True, that's true. Don't take credit away my victory though.
I need this right now. You know what I mean,
I do. There's three more tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
Okay, here we go in there.

Speaker 10 (30:33):
Yeah, white Cliff, give that one on banger.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
So my text, How does young get me so fast? Listen?

Speaker 2 (30:43):
It's a skill that won't help me with anything, but
just always this skill. Yeah, my music teacher when I
was my parents got me in music. I think it
was like legitimately less than a year old. I did
like music stuff with their school. My music teacher says,
I was a prodigy and then on.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
The way, but they gave you that was different. Time
to play the recorder.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
My actual my actual, actual music teacher says a priegy.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
I went to school. I stopped caring. You can make
music out of nothing again.

Speaker 6 (31:08):
So you can play right now.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
My voice is my instrument.

Speaker 9 (31:13):
Sorry, some question Love story eleven in.

Speaker 6 (31:24):
Your face guys, man, you should put that on your
hinge profile.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
What would the caption be.

Speaker 6 (31:30):
Oh you can you think you know music?

Speaker 8 (31:33):
Now?

Speaker 4 (31:33):
That's what I called. Alright, all right, Shelley, what's this one?

Speaker 6 (31:39):
Uh single? Wait, let's Beyonce? Is that single?

Speaker 8 (31:43):
Ladies?

Speaker 6 (31:43):
What's the song? I don't know the names of any
Beyonce song.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
Sorry, guys on right now.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
We appreciate you hanging out. On this Thursday. It is
intern John in your morning show. If you are just
waking up. There was American Airlines flight last night crashed
the Blackhawk helicopter in next to the Reagan Airport. They're
gonna have the press conference live moments. We'll carry it
next time. We appreciate you listening on this Thursday. It

(32:23):
is interns Young in your morning show. Overnight American Airlines
flight from wichitavlied with a military helicopter as the plane
try Land and Reagan Airport. They're supposed to be a
press conference starting shortly. They're supposed to be seven thirty,
but I think there's still getting some things together.

Speaker 11 (32:40):
So in the.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Meantime, Shelby Sauce has the latest What do you have
for a Sauce?

Speaker 6 (32:46):
So nearly three hundred first responders are searching the Potomac
River Thursday morning, after last night's mid air collision between
an American Airlines passenger jet and a military helicopter.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Show me, stop your sauce. It was like the Mary
spot to go right now, So go right quick to
the press conference. A little bit of this.

Speaker 8 (33:04):
Yeah, your.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Mayor's getting ready to speak. It looks like from Reagan
Airport right now.

Speaker 11 (33:13):
This will be the second time the mayor has addressed
the cameras and the public.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
It occurred also overnight during the during the overnight hours.
It was very somber.

Speaker 11 (33:24):
It was obviously quite moved by this.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Yeah, we have the DC Fire and the MS chief
Donnale behind her.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
You see Virginia Senator Mark Warner as well Tim Kine.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Off to the side.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
Good morning there, let's begin.

Speaker 12 (33:36):
I'm Muriel Bowser, I'm the Mayor of Washington, d C.
We are here at Reagan National Airport to provide an
update on the tragic events of last night.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
I'm joined by.

Speaker 12 (33:50):
US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, d C Fire and THEE
and MEP's chief John John Donnelley, American Airlines CEO robertson
the m WAH. Then Washington, Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority CEO
Jack Carter, United States Senator Mark Warner, United States Senator

(34:11):
Tim Kaine, US Representative Don Bayer, as well as the
Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department, Pamela Smith, and we
are joined by first responders from across the metropolitan Washington region.
I speak for all of us when I say, and
certainly all Washingtonians, how very sad we are for American Airlines,

(34:38):
for the United States Department of Defense, and for all
Americans for the loss of life that happened with the
collision of these aircrafts. We know that includes families from
across our region as well as in Kansas and across
the country. This morning, we all share in a profound

(34:59):
sense of I do want to thank the first responders
who acted quickly last night, who ran towards danger, went
into a very frigid river, and have worked throughout the night.
Chief Donnelly reported and last night last night's briefing that
we have a strong mutual aid agreement in our region,

(35:21):
and those teams have worked together throughout the night in
really tough and heartbreaking conditions, and we should all.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Thank them for their heroic efforts.

Speaker 12 (35:31):
So we'll have several updates today. I'm first going to
turn to the Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, and then
you will hear directly from Chief John Donnelley with a
situational update.

Speaker 13 (35:48):
Thank you, Maaron again, Sean Duffy here, Secretary of Transportation.
We wish we were gathering for different purposes today. I
just want to let you know that the the Department
of Transportation, the FAA, along with the White House, President Trump, local, state,
and federal partners all working together on this incident in Unison.

(36:12):
I couldn't be prouder of this team that's been assembled,
working tirelessly. Mara, I want to thank you specifically for
your work. A few details I'd like to give all
of you, and some of you reported this but last night.
If you live in the DC area, you would know
that this was a clear night last night. The helicopter

(36:32):
was in a standard pattern. If you live in the
DCRA you'll see helicopters up and down the river. This
flight pattern is seen oftentimes when you live in DC.
This was a standard flight pattern last night as well.
The American Airline flight coming into land was in a
standard flight pattern as it was coming into DCA. So

(36:54):
this was not unusual with a military aircraft flying the
river and aircraft landing at DCA. And again if you
live in the area, you'll see that frequently with those
two aircraft working together. As you were many of you

(37:16):
are reported. We have located the two aircrafts. The fuselage
of the American Airline plane was inverted. It's been located
in three different sections. It's in about waste deep water.
So that recovery is going to go on today. As

(37:36):
that recovery takes place of the of the fuselage of
the aircraft, NTSB is going to start to analyze that aircraft,
partner with the FAA with all of the information we
have to get the best results possible for the American people.

Speaker 4 (37:51):
I would just say that.

Speaker 13 (37:54):
Safety is our expectation. Everyone who flies in American skies
expects that we fly safely, that when you depart an
airport you get to your destination. That didn't happen last night.
And I know the President Trump, his administration, the FAA,
the DOT we will not rest until we have answers

(38:16):
for the families and for the flying public.

Speaker 4 (38:19):
You should be assured that when you fly your safe
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
Thank you course, leave the fire chief spout to speak
next a coup more mins.

Speaker 11 (38:32):
This, Thank you Secretary, Thank you Mayor.

Speaker 14 (38:34):
I'm joined today by with fire Chief Bonnet from the
Metropolitan Washington Airport's Authority, and I'm John Donnelly, chief of
the District of Columbia Fire and EMS Department. Last night
at eight forty eight, the control tower sounded an alert
which alerts responders to respond to a report of an
aircraft crash on or near the airport. That sets off

(38:57):
an immediate response from the airport authority, fire Department, from
the District of Columbia, and Metropolitan Harbor Patrol fireboats and
other fireboats on the river in order to support that
type of operation. Very quickly this call escalated. It became
the responders realized that they had a plane crash and

(39:19):
immediately escalated to a response that ultimately included about three
hundred people. Last night, these responders found extremely frigid conditions,
they found heavy wind, they found ice on the water,
and they are operated all night in those conditions.

Speaker 11 (39:37):
I'd like to take a.

Speaker 14 (39:38):
Moment to acknowledge the agencies that responded, in addition to
DC Fire and MS in the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority,
Montgomery County Fire Department, the Prince George's County Fire Department,
the Charles County Fire Department, the Baltimore County Police Department,
the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, the Alexandria Fire Department,
the Arlington County Fire Department, the Fairfa Fire Department, the

(40:01):
Prince William Fire Department, the Baltimore City Police Department, the
Maryland State Police, the Maryland Natural Resources Police, the Department.

Speaker 11 (40:10):
Of Defense, the Joint Base.

Speaker 14 (40:14):
Bowling Fire Department and the staff there, the US Army,
the US Coast Guard, the United States Park Police, the
Metropolitan Police Department.

Speaker 11 (40:24):
The FBI, and the NTSB.

Speaker 14 (40:28):
Despite all those efforts, we are now at the point
where we are switching from a rescue operation to a
recovery operation.

Speaker 11 (40:36):
At this point, we don't believe there are any.

Speaker 14 (40:37):
Survivors from this accident, and we have recovered twenty seven
people from.

Speaker 11 (40:42):
The plane and one from the helicopter. The District Office
of the.

Speaker 14 (40:47):
Medical Examiner has lead on reuniting these bodies and these
people with their loved ones, and we will continue to
work to find all the bodies and collect them and
reunite them with their loved ones. We should also acknowledge
that the Virginia Medical Examiner and the Army Army Medical
Examiner are involved in this operation and a very important

(41:12):
part of getting people identified.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
So well, kind of go in now. It sounds like
there's no and kind of makes sense. There's no real
answers yet. We do know is that the plane was
landing last night collide with the helicopter. From reports to
it sounds like the tower had asked the helicopter they
had visual. They confirm they had visual. Aside from that,

(41:36):
not too sure what happens. So obviously our thoughts and
prayers of the families, the first responders, thank you. It's
it is very nice, isn't the word? But to see
you heard the chief mentioned all the fire departments and
local police departments from really the whole d m V
area that have come to help out their fellow neighbor,
which is it's a dark day in the DMV, but

(41:57):
we will get through it together. It's Intern Johnny, Mary
appreciate you hanging out Intern john in your morning show
on this dark day in the DMV. We will keep
you posted with the updates of the plane crash last
night of Reagan. They did say in the press conference
they still plan open the airport at eleven o'clock this morning,
so as they get more information to get I think
it's it's still too early to have many concrete details. Yes,

(42:21):
So our goal is to keep you informed also keep
you distracted. That's what we try to do every single day.
So we'll have war the Roses coming in like thirty
ish minutes. We'll breaking updates as they come as well.
I want to get to this too for your Thursday.
I can't help but feel a little bit. I don't
know triggered is the right word, but I believe Savaris
send me this why men just can't commit?

Speaker 4 (42:42):
Okay, first of all, before I even do this, but
you know me for how long?

Speaker 6 (42:46):
Eight eight years, eight and a half.

Speaker 4 (42:48):
Do you think I have commitment issues?

Speaker 6 (42:50):
No? I think that you're a lover boy.

Speaker 4 (42:53):
Thanks.

Speaker 6 (42:53):
Yeah, like Drake, sure, I just you love love and
you where you're hard in your sleep? Yeah, And I
don't think you have commitment issues. You just meet women
that have commitment issues, unfortunately, and like Drup.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
Yeah not, well, let me this clarify, not like they
straight away.

Speaker 6 (43:12):
No, they're just like you. You are ready to take
things to the next step, like you fall and you
fall hard. And I've always said that, and sometimes you
just meet people that just aren't ready for that.

Speaker 2 (43:25):
I want to be a Disney princess, you do. I
want somebody carry me across to the threshold, and I
want to be the second person to walk down the aisle.

Speaker 4 (43:33):
Do you know what I'm saying? Like, I don't people see.

Speaker 6 (43:34):
For me believe that though, Like you might be joking
right now, but I could see that as well.

Speaker 4 (43:40):
I already know the song.

Speaker 6 (43:41):
It's Star Boy. No, no, dude, it's it's Star Wars.
Oh if it was Christmas shoes, I would just leave.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
Oh my god, bro, this is my this is my
wedding we're talking about. Get a little bit of like
the uh to be pretty?

Speaker 4 (43:57):
Look at me is walking down?

Speaker 6 (43:59):
I think you play Christmas shoes so that people have
like a little like tear in their eye, so that
the pictures look like before.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
No all looks so pretty that my beauty would bring
tears throughout anyway. So, according to the experts, these are
the reasons why men just can't commit. Okay, starting with
the fomo.

Speaker 6 (44:16):
Oh okay, sure, especially if you're if you meet a
guy and all of his friends are single, I can
see that.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
I offer this too to the psychology of men that
we always joke about, or you made the men in
your thirties who don't look don't know what they're looking for. Yeah,
this is what a dude in your twenties you see.
I guess dude's growing up. Girls your age always go
for the older guys like that just is because they're
more mature, they have their ish figured out. Like, that's

(44:45):
just kind of what happens, right, So in your twenties
as a dude, you're like trying to find your way,
and then you get to your late twenties early thirties,
he start to making a little bit of money and
you start to be able to be like the dude
the girls what you used to go for. I think
kind of like that attention, and that's kind of.

Speaker 6 (44:59):
Like I think yours perspective from a woman's perspective.

Speaker 4 (45:02):
I'm telling you what how to do is feel though,
I guess, but we're.

Speaker 6 (45:05):
Not dating guys your age because, like you said, the
immaturity thing, right, but also just because a lot of guys,
like I remember when I was in my early twenties,
they didn't want to have a girlfriend, so you would
be liking guys that are your age and then they're
like no, no, no, I'm in my my you know whatever,
frat era or something.

Speaker 2 (45:20):
Well, I think maybe say that I'm phrasing, this's wrong.
Like the guys that weren't getting attention in their twenties
start to get it in their thirties. That's kind of
like the this the shift.

Speaker 6 (45:30):
They feel like they're like high on life because like
everybody's into them.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
Yeah, you're finally you finally a little bit of money,
you're a little bit selling your career, which probably makes
a little more confident, and you find yourself getting a
little bit more attention.

Speaker 4 (45:39):
Like that's like for most of you. I think that's
like the I can.

Speaker 6 (45:41):
Think when I hear like men their thirties not knowing
what they're looking for, is that TikTok? Sounds like you know,
you have thirty minutes.

Speaker 2 (45:47):
Yeah, but I think in this telling, I think that's legitimately.
It's like now it's like Okay, now I kind of
figure myself out and now I can have some fun times.
Yeah I have a second one. Well kay, it makes
sense too. They don't feel societ pressure to sell down.

Speaker 6 (45:59):
Well, yeah, they don't have a biological clock. Yeah, just
must be nice.

Speaker 2 (46:04):
Yeah yeah that's yep. Yeah, science much about that. Uh,
they want to message their routine. I'm gonna say it
for me. Yeah, that's that's a tough one because I
have so much stuff going on that would be it's.

Speaker 6 (46:18):
Gonna I can understand. I I that sounds terrible, but
I can understand that too, because even when I start
to like hang out with somebody, I don't like adding
I don't like adding someone to my routine.

Speaker 2 (46:28):
I like how my life is right now. No, and
fell lover Boy Drake had this quote that was like,
that makes sense. He's like, they're asking what he looked
he's looking for me. He says, I'm a campain of
a ship.

Speaker 15 (46:37):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (46:37):
I see a lot of people behind me who depend
on me. I need somebody who can help me steer
without getting seasick. And I was like, Oh, that's kind
of like, yeah, like somebody by decide to help who
he isn't to pull over because they'reetting seasick.

Speaker 6 (46:47):
Are you doing that for each other?

Speaker 8 (46:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (46:49):
But I'm saying that's what he's looking for. Though it's
because he's got so much going on, So I kind
of feel like that's kind of the same.

Speaker 4 (46:54):
They're content with how things are.

Speaker 6 (46:55):
Yeah, I get that too. I do understand that one.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
Unfortunately, they said the prospect of changing a well functioning
system feels unnecessary potentially risky.

Speaker 6 (47:04):
To a dude, because and I do I understand for
women or just really anyone in general, because you get
so when you're single for quite some time, you get
so used to your own routine, your own life, and
how your space is that you don't know if you
want to make room for something that might not work out. Sometimes.

Speaker 2 (47:20):
Yeah, I think dudes like peace and everybody does. But dude,
it's like, yeah, you want you want to find your piece.
That's how I feel like. If a guy asked me
on data, then we come. But my life is so
routine and happy, Yeah, do I want to mess that up?
And video games are so good nowadays, Like do I
want to go on a date or take the University
of Minnesota to our fifth back to back to back
to back national championship in college football?

Speaker 6 (47:42):
And if you're ever missing out, you can just always
play the sims.

Speaker 4 (47:46):
Or college football and win the championship. How about the
youth you have?

Speaker 2 (47:49):
Mean, Okay, next reason why dudes are afraid to commit,
they're scared of the idea of forever.

Speaker 11 (47:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (47:55):
I guess that makes sense, especially if they haven't ever
had a really serious relationship and they're getting older, so
then they just never got to adapt when they were
younger and their brain was still developing.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
Yeah, but I think it's also like the idea of like,
now there's somebody who depends on you, and like you
have to, like it's not just you anymore, so you
have to you're like on a team now.

Speaker 4 (48:13):
Yeah, it's like and forever.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
Now you're not just letting down yourself, you're letting down
somebody else.

Speaker 6 (48:19):
You're kind of also lighting down yourself because you might
get old and hate theier alone because of your own decision.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
So, uh, next reason is they use casual relationships as
a coping mechanism.

Speaker 6 (48:28):
Yeah, like I'm not really alone, but it's a situationship.
And you're a leader, your girl on who thinks that
you're gonna, you know, ask her to be your girlfriend.
Then you don't because you're focused on your career. That
has been the same freak Yers.

Speaker 4 (48:38):
That sounds oddly specific, just throw it out there.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
Okay, the ease of finding casual connections through dating apps
is made this coping mechanism accessible and socially acceptable.

Speaker 6 (48:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:47):
Yeah, they can maintain a steady stream of surface level
relationships that provide temporary validation and physical intimacy without challenging
their emotional walls.

Speaker 6 (48:54):
Yeah, but then they do eventually get challenged. We got
to just talk about that. They do get challenged because
no matter what someone's feelings, I would say, ninety percent
of the time get hurt.

Speaker 4 (49:03):
That's sair.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
Yeah, yes, sir. The next reason dudes are afraid to
seill down. They're terrified of making the wrong choice.

Speaker 6 (49:09):
Yes, okay, yes, aren't we all scared, But that's that's
called growth. Baby. You make a choice, you stick with it,
you learn if if it's a bad one, you learn. Yeah,
but being an adult learn it's.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
An expensive mistake, expensive if you get if you marry
the wrong person.

Speaker 6 (49:25):
It's not just like I'm not even just talking about marriage,
like you're just seeing somebody, see how it feels.

Speaker 4 (49:29):
The next reason is men are afraid of being controlled.

Speaker 6 (49:32):
I think okay, probably fair no either way, but sure.

Speaker 2 (49:35):
I also think that's a problem with like the media
and movies portrayed that way, where it's like she's cracking
the way back. I don't know if most marriages like
that think it's more of a teamwork.

Speaker 6 (49:43):
Thing than a I do think the negative aspects of
relationships are so much more talked about on especially TikTok
if you will. Maybe it's just my for you page,
but there's all these terms that just get thrown around
that people don't actually really understand, like everyone's being gaslet you.
Half the people that tell me that, I'm like, you
don't actually know what a real person gaslighting you is.

(50:03):
I don't think no for sure, So yes, I don't
disagree with that.

Speaker 4 (50:06):
I get this though, to you.

Speaker 2 (50:07):
I had an ex girlfriend once who I think really well,
I know she really thought she was doing me a
favor despite ay, yes, and try to convey it to
my mother. Yeah, my, if you are a boy mom
or you never tell the boy mom. Boy moms, it's
like boy moms and girl dads are very protective. Like
my dad. The father's relationship is like your dad tells

(50:28):
you just figure it out. Your mom will like my
mom will go to jail for me. So this ex
girlfriend kind of make it seem like how lucky she
was to that. I was, you know, my mom was like,
I know he'll be fine without you. Ye No, I
think my mom said, no, he's soon. Okay, Yeah, it's
like he's fine, thank you.

Speaker 8 (50:44):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
The next one is they're looking for the perfect partner.
I think that goes back to the day and after.

Speaker 6 (50:48):
Isn't bill to be it's your everybody's a human being.
We're not out here like creating our ideal person out
of nothing.

Speaker 4 (50:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (50:56):
Unfortunately, Yeah, I think everyone And I know I get
dragged a lot for talking about dating and a negative whatever.
But I do think that a lot of people could
go read Data Nomics. It's a book. It's about dating.
If you're single, it will help you better understand the
probability of you ending up with a person that you
can call for your forever.

Speaker 4 (51:13):
What is the probability?

Speaker 6 (51:15):
It depends on your location. Okay, I write when I
was in Georgia. I'm not in Georgia currently, so I
can't tell you why about for this area. I don't
know because I wasn't living here. Now I read it.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
So the other proud they say for dudes who are
afraid of this is there they know other men who
are unhappy?

Speaker 6 (51:28):
Yeah, I committed men who are happy. I do think that.
But this goes hand in hand for anybody that your
friends can really influence how you go about dating, because
if they look unhappy, then you you think that that's
going to not be good. Yes, because I have done
the same thing with my friends when they were all single,
and then I started doing somebody, I was like, wait,
maybe I don't want that.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
Yeah, I think we all know people who married the
wrong person that we all saw. Fun couples I think
are good friends. Andrew DaMina be a fun couple.

Speaker 6 (51:54):
I know a lot of fun couples. That's why I
always get confused when guys don't want to settle down,
like most of their fronds are single, but they have
like one on front group, like one couple that's been
together for years and they seem so happy. So I'm like,
what are you scared of?

Speaker 4 (52:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (52:06):
I don't disagree. Are They're also worried about money. That's
the reason why I think that's fair.

Speaker 6 (52:10):
That makes that makes sense. You want to be able
to provide, be able to be a provider and like,
you know, help each other out.

Speaker 4 (52:17):
The last one is they have passed relationship baggage.

Speaker 6 (52:20):
Yes, well, at least if you recognize that, and that's
why your Sarah commitment that, I mean, kudos to you.
You're on the right track at least at least you
know why.

Speaker 4 (52:27):
Yeah, and I get that. I certainly have that now.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
I'm way more cautious now than I was two or
three years ago. It's like, you put so much into something,
then it's like, oh, okay, so we probably shouldn't have
done this to begin with.

Speaker 6 (52:40):
You have memories last forever. Mmmm.

Speaker 2 (52:43):
There's that Lord Huran song that we met, which is like, uh,
probably the best I think breakup song ever where he's
basically saying if he'd go back and tell himself not
to get in that relationship, he would. And I'm like, oh,
I get that song now, you know.

Speaker 4 (52:55):
I know.

Speaker 6 (52:56):
But so many people are like, oh, I wish I
didn't like waste that much time or do this and that.
But I am glad I wasted all that time because
I learned so much more than I would have if
I had only invested like two months.

Speaker 4 (53:06):
I would say it may it's funnier.

Speaker 6 (53:08):
Sure, Yeah, I have way better stories for like parties
when people want to compare stuff.

Speaker 4 (53:13):
You are pretty good at that. I know you are
one upper.

Speaker 6 (53:16):
No, I'm not. I've only had anyone once trying to
one up me with my story and I was like
that I did not. I'm not even listening. I think
that I actually said that to her. I was like,
I'm actually listening anymore.

Speaker 4 (53:24):
What was the name of the book you said to us?

Speaker 6 (53:26):
I was state Anomics, So it's date dash Anomics. Like
O N O M I C S.

Speaker 4 (53:32):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (53:32):
How dating became a lopside numbers game, especially if you're
a woman. That doesn't say that, but it will tell
you that in the book.

Speaker 4 (53:38):
I'm not who hurt you.

Speaker 7 (53:39):
I'm not.

Speaker 6 (53:39):
I'm not making that up. It's just a statistic in
the book about dating with numbers.

Speaker 4 (53:44):
So you're saying I have good odds.

Speaker 6 (53:46):
Yes, guys, guys have better odds according to this book.

Speaker 2 (53:49):
Not in dating apps, though dating apps are whack. I imagine
that that. It's just like the Tinder makes you pay
to see people like you. It's like, what, I don't disagree.
It's like, why do we have to pay all this
money just to try to see it? This person might
not even be into me. Well, I've been trying to
change it up, so I've had Farmers Only and now
I'm on Black People Meet dot Com and I'm trying
to get recommendations for that. So it's not going well

(54:11):
on anything, so Craigslist. Later, I meet this guy in
the park. He said, did not bring my phone or won't? No,
I would do and cover my eyes like I'm flying
all right. Pretty excited for that. Rose is conception from
the city.

Speaker 8 (54:23):
That changes the world.

Speaker 3 (54:24):
Peers Rose with three things you need.

Speaker 4 (54:27):
To know for your Thursday. Rose, What you got for us?

Speaker 5 (54:30):
Snerds are now conducting a recovery operation after an American
Airlines flight from Wichatak, Kansas and a military helicopter collided
last night. DC Fire and EMS Chief John A. Donneley said,
at this point, we do not believe there are survivors
from this accident, and we have recovered twenty seven people
from the plane and one from the helicopter. So I'm

(54:53):
sure this has pretty much been everywhere. It's what we've
been talking about all morning. So American Airlines Flight fifty
three forty two, like I said, was try from which Tak,
Kansas to DCA.

Speaker 1 (55:01):
This happened around nine o'clock last night.

Speaker 5 (55:04):
Three hundred responders have been searching all night, all morning
in the freezing Potomac River, and now that the light
is out, it's a little easier to see. The conditions
are slightly better.

Speaker 1 (55:16):
Than what they happen overnight because they can see.

Speaker 5 (55:18):
But yeah, Reagan National Airport is closed until at least
eleven am. If you believe you had a loved one
on board flight fifty three forty two, call American Airlines.
It's eight hundred six seven nine eight two one five.
But our hearts are just completely broken for all of
the people, all the families.

Speaker 1 (55:37):
It's just such a sad, sad situation.

Speaker 4 (55:39):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
They we were playing parts of the press conference a
moment ago, and the fire chief was mentioning about how
all the emergency response areas really all of the DNV
came out and have been helping at crew. But I
believe three hundred really sorted and to this happened last night.
The Ptolemac is murky as it is. And then they
talked about how it was parts of their frozen.

Speaker 6 (55:59):
Yeahah, and there's current yeah splits right there. Yeah, the
current at that area is just so difficult, and it
was so windy yesterday. They're talking about the wind.

Speaker 2 (56:09):
It's very tragic, and there's uh, there's folks who were
waiting for the loved ones at the apartment. If you've
flown in the wagon and you know it, you look
out the window, you see the sites and you see
you see everything. So our hearts are broken. For our
first responders, we thank you. Of course, we'll give you
more as we get it, and that's kind of the
the balance that we try to strike with our show
always is to distract you from life, because life can

(56:30):
be hard as it is, but keep you informed with
the breaking stuff. So right now we probably won't even
know legitimately what happened for weeks. Don't don't want to
speculate this.

Speaker 1 (56:42):
Uh, they are investigating.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
So absolutely, yeah, give you the the effects as we
get them in. I would also caution to not post
on social media your political thoughts because that's not gonna
help anybody.

Speaker 1 (56:55):
It's not necessary right now. People are mourning.

Speaker 4 (56:57):
Absolutely, it's just not the time.

Speaker 6 (56:59):
Your community members who have lost their lives, and there's
other parts of our community are coming together to try
to like figure it all out. So I don't understand
why all these different platforms are using this as like
political leverage right now. Yeah, it's not even twelve hours.

Speaker 4 (57:13):
It's a it's not a football game.

Speaker 6 (57:14):
It's get off the internet for one day if you
can't have a heart.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
And we will keep you posted as we get more.
War of the Roses comes next in Intern Johnny Mars Show,
War Are the Roses? On Intern John in your morning show,
you are in what you think is a kind, loving,
healthy relationship and then some things start popping out to

(57:39):
make and go is something else going on?

Speaker 4 (57:41):
We try and get to the bottom of it. So
figo morning here you guys.

Speaker 2 (57:46):
So there's a lot here in a relatively short of
my time, you and Trevor have been together how long?

Speaker 7 (57:53):
Technically, we've only been dating for like, I don't know,
about two months ish, but we've we were like dming
and talking and stuff for like a month before we
started dating.

Speaker 2 (58:07):
So we've been official for two months, but we were
quote unquote hanging out for a month before that.

Speaker 4 (58:13):
Yeah, okay, whose idea was it to sell.

Speaker 7 (58:15):
Down both of ours? I mean, I don't just get
serious with someone unless I feel like they're giving me
those same vibes back, sure, but we like it. We've
talked about well.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
Okay, because this changes everything rount the bat. Have you
had the conversation with Trevor that we are boyfriend and girlfriend.

Speaker 4 (58:38):
I'm not talking to anybody else. You should neither, not.

Speaker 7 (58:42):
Like changing the way you just did it, but like yes,
like in the heat of the moment, we've both been like,
this is good, we want this. You want this? Okay, cool,
I'll like we're on the same babe.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
But Sophie, yes or no? Is he under the impression
that you are as girlfriend? He is your boyfriend?

Speaker 7 (59:02):
Well, I well I think so, but now I'm not
so sure.

Speaker 2 (59:08):
You have you officially defined the relationship.

Speaker 7 (59:12):
I think so? Yeah, yeah, okay, okay, right, well that
yeah myself, okay.

Speaker 6 (59:24):
Call you his girlfriend?

Speaker 4 (59:26):
Yeah, okay, okay.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
So the reason we're here for one of the roads
is was last week you or this past weekend you're
town for work and what happens?

Speaker 7 (59:35):
So I was in often for business trip for four
days nice and I got this random say time called
from him around midnight. It was like midnight my time,
which would actually be o'clock here oclocks time, or maybe
it was even like eleven o'clock.

Speaker 4 (59:55):
Well, if one o'clock here and then yeah, we're head.

Speaker 7 (59:58):
Okay, look how good I catch me on the spring
flot would fall back. I always get catches, but yeah,
there you go. So whatever. Basically, of course, like woke
me up and he was like, hey, you coming.

Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
Over well, and I was a long dry from Arlington
to as.

Speaker 7 (01:00:18):
I was like, babe, babe, hello, remember I'm in Austin.
And then it was just like super awkward.

Speaker 4 (01:00:25):
And this was Saturday night in the Sunday.

Speaker 7 (01:00:28):
This was Saturday night, end of Sunday.

Speaker 4 (01:00:30):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (01:00:30):
Now, I just feel like he wasn't trying to call
me in the first place, and he was calling somebody else.

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
Well, he says, I wanted to bring this up because
you can find him the next day, and according to
your email, he had no recollection of the FaceTime right, correct,
And in.

Speaker 4 (01:00:47):
Fact, he asked you who else is in his place?
Who is he with?

Speaker 7 (01:00:52):
Correct?

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
That's bizarre, Like I would never never be like, oh,
by the way, who was over? Yeah, okay, you've been
back in town since Monday? How has he been since then?

Speaker 8 (01:01:05):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (01:01:05):
Weird? As like you know when you know someone's like
hiding something and they act different like he's been avoiding
eye contact. He's taking longer to text me back, which
is like so basic. And when I tried to like
ask what he wanted to do this weekend because I
was like gone last week for a few days, right,

(01:01:27):
he's like very non committal, like doesn't really want to
make a plan. Sure, so that's not normally how he is.

Speaker 4 (01:01:34):
Let's do this, Sophie.

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
We'll have sauce co from the Flower Company off from
the Roses should go to you.

Speaker 4 (01:01:39):
If they don't, we'll get some answers for you. Okay,
That's what I'm here for.

Speaker 7 (01:01:43):
And I'm not excited, but I feel like I'm not
going to waste my time with someone, Yeah yeah, playing
games and months three months in, like I need to
know now, Like what else?

Speaker 4 (01:01:54):
We'll do it on next War the Roses an intern
Johnny Morny Show.

Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
It's wore the Roses on Intern John Your morning show
is Sophie recap this quick. You and Shrevor have been
officially dating for two months, but been hanging out, I
guess for three months total. This past weekend, you were
out of town a workshrip in Austin. He drunk FaceTime
deal around midnight on Saturday asking to come over, which
is a long drive from Austin, Texas to Arlington, Virginia.

Speaker 4 (01:02:19):
Yeah, you reminded him of that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
The next morning when you confronted him, he had no
real recollection of the FaceTime In fact, asked you who
he was with when he talked, even though he was
in his own apartment.

Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
That's kind of where this whole thing jumps.

Speaker 1 (01:02:32):
Off for him, right correct now verbati.

Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
Yeah, And we were talking off the air. So when
you were doing your work trip, he had a boy's weekend.
Are you fond of his friends? Do you think they
make good decisions or are they a group that perhaps
he should not be hanging out with.

Speaker 7 (01:02:50):
Well, it only nothen like twice. I mean, because we
are still kind of new. I think the majority of
them are cool. But there is one guy that I
kind of get the x rome. I feel like if
he was hanging out with him that week and I
didn't really ask, but I don't know. He just seems
kind of like a ballbuster and he pushes people's buttons
and yeah, yeah, a heavy drink er doesn't make great

(01:03:12):
to do.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
I just think, to me, the FaceTime thing, I would
never be like who was I with because that shouldn't matter.
You could never be unless I was with somebody who
I shouldn't have been with.

Speaker 6 (01:03:22):
Yeah, I think that's a weird question to ask, is
wouldn't you also know who is over your house?

Speaker 4 (01:03:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:03:27):
Like I was like really drunk. I would just assume
that Kate's probably with me at my house. Yeah, I
wouldn't ask.

Speaker 8 (01:03:32):
That's fair.

Speaker 4 (01:03:33):
So let's let's do this.

Speaker 2 (01:03:35):
Uh, Sophie love sauce coff from the flower Company, off
from the Roses. They should go to you obviously. If
they do, we'll put him on hold. Suits you want
I do. If they go to somebody else, we'll get
some answers for you. Okay, okay, final question, when you
guys were in the initial talking phase, do you know
if he was talking to anybody else?

Speaker 7 (01:03:53):
I mean I kind of always assume people are talking
to other people until you kind of like lock it down.
So I mean I can't like rule that out. But
she wasn't like that's.

Speaker 4 (01:04:07):
Wrong, that's fair. Sorry, So let's uh curious do this.

Speaker 6 (01:04:23):
Hello, Hi, I am calling for Trevor. Hi. My name
is Statum. I'm actually calling you from a new local
flower shop or called y mess flowers and you actually
won our weekly contest. So that's a dozen red roses
and you can send them wherever you want. So I
just need to get that info so you can get
your prize.

Speaker 8 (01:04:42):
How did you get my numbers?

Speaker 6 (01:04:44):
So we have a weekly contest. Uh, we have these
QR codes all over the city. So maybe you entered
or maybe some even someone even entered for you. But basically,
you want a dozen red roses, you can send them
wherever you want. It's totally free. We don't need your
credit card info.

Speaker 8 (01:05:00):
No, I didn't enter my information anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
I'm not making sure.

Speaker 6 (01:05:04):
I mean we have them, and like coffee shops especially,
a lot of people enter there when they're waiting in
line to get their coffee in the morning. Or maybe someone,
like I said, entered for you. We've had that happen
a few times. We're just new we're trying to get
the product out there.

Speaker 8 (01:05:18):
Nah, I don't think that was me. I don't know
how you got my.

Speaker 6 (01:05:20):
Information because you entered the contest, that's how I have it,
or someone entered for you.

Speaker 8 (01:05:27):
I didn't enter a contest. I really didn't.

Speaker 6 (01:05:30):
Okay, if you don't want them, that's totally fine. I
can move on with my list and give it to
someone else who would appreciate them. But again, free flowers
for Valentine's Day. It's pretty sick. But if you don't
want them, I'll just move on.

Speaker 8 (01:05:41):
Oh maybe I'll take the flowers. I'm not paying for them,
my mind.

Speaker 6 (01:05:45):
Nope. Again, they are free. Don't need your credit card info.
I don't want to twist your arm, but free. Okay,
all right, So who do you want to send them to.

Speaker 4 (01:05:57):
Let's send Lisa Lisa.

Speaker 6 (01:06:00):
Okay, yes, and I'm just gonna make a little file
just in case you come back to use this again
and get flowers for Lisa. Do you uh? Do you
your girlfriend? Wife? Uh? Sister?

Speaker 8 (01:06:11):
I see somebody I know someone you.

Speaker 6 (01:06:14):
Know just like you're just casually dating.

Speaker 8 (01:06:17):
I just know her.

Speaker 6 (01:06:18):
Okay. We're just like trying to keep this like very
community based. So we're just trying, like, you know, if
you come in, we're like, Trevor, how's Lisa your girlfriend?
So okay, I'll put seeing I don't know whatever, and
then what I want the card to say. It's just
your typical flower card.

Speaker 8 (01:06:33):
It's a x x x H. Thanks for a good time.

Speaker 6 (01:06:40):
Thanks for a good time. Okay, like X, like as
in kissing.

Speaker 8 (01:06:45):
X necessarily, but XX explains for a good time. That's it. Okay, cool, cool.

Speaker 7 (01:06:53):
Cool, Okay, So okay, So I'm gonna like literally throw
up right now. Do you want to explain to your
girl old friend who Lisa is? Yeah, because I'm over
here wondering, and I've been wondering for a freaking freaking
week and now you're like, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
Trevor, let me let me you hop into real quick,
Trevor and just insert myself pause. My name's intern John.
That's sask I Rose here as well. We are doing
a war of the roses on the show. That is
your girlfriend, Sophie. Who is Lisa?

Speaker 8 (01:07:25):
Lisa is just a bottle girl. She just she was
really nice.

Speaker 2 (01:07:28):
She was okay, okay, so you so you want to
send and we love a bottle girl?

Speaker 4 (01:07:34):
Yeah, the show.

Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
You want to send a bottle girl roses? Where are
you going to send the flowers to.

Speaker 8 (01:07:41):
To her work address?

Speaker 6 (01:07:43):
Right?

Speaker 4 (01:07:43):
And do you think that she is gonna be working
on a weekday.

Speaker 8 (01:07:48):
They'll give it to her when she gets there.

Speaker 6 (01:07:50):
They're done. Well, she has office weekend.

Speaker 7 (01:07:55):
Why are you spending a bottle girl flowers.

Speaker 4 (01:07:58):
Yeah she gave Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
You tip her with money?

Speaker 4 (01:08:05):
Yeah, she probably wants cash. Guy, enough flowers.

Speaker 8 (01:08:10):
I mean, it's not a big deal. It's like I was.

Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
When you go to a gentleman clubs, you often tipped
people there with flowers and homemade desserts and that kind
of thing.

Speaker 8 (01:08:22):
I don't go to the gentlemen's club.

Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Okay, So here's the real question, Trevor. Why as send
the flowers to your girlfriend? That's the question number one.

Speaker 6 (01:08:29):
That's a good question.

Speaker 8 (01:08:31):
Well, I was they were free flowers and send it
to a lady. That gave great.

Speaker 4 (01:08:41):
Question.

Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
B was was was Lisa at your apartment this weekend?

Speaker 8 (01:08:47):
Uh? Possibly?

Speaker 4 (01:08:50):
Why? Why? What? What possible reason would she be there?
She was very nice.

Speaker 8 (01:08:58):
She helped me get I was having I was a
little intoxicated, and she helped me get home.

Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
What she she left work to bring you home and
then went.

Speaker 4 (01:09:09):
Back to work. Yeah, correct, Where where were your friends at?

Speaker 6 (01:09:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (01:09:15):
My friends kind of they kind of left me.

Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
So I'm gonna st though, I'm not gonna listen. I'm
not gonna assume here you are, like give me your
your height and weight.

Speaker 4 (01:09:23):
My guy.

Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
About six, So I'm going to assume the average bott
girls like five ft one twenty You think that you
expect us to believe a tiny girl carried a grown
ass man home upstairs because he was too drunk to
walk himself.

Speaker 4 (01:09:39):
She a bodybelt or two?

Speaker 7 (01:09:41):
Oh my god, she was five feet.

Speaker 4 (01:09:47):
It makes no sense.

Speaker 5 (01:09:48):
Why would you take a random stranger to his house
by herself?

Speaker 8 (01:09:52):
That?

Speaker 6 (01:09:53):
No, I don't believe that.

Speaker 7 (01:09:55):
Podcast girl, Yeah, I just can't.

Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
I bestually was all right, I think we're done.

Speaker 1 (01:10:02):
Or of the Roses is creticed and possibly edited broadcast
with permission granted from all participants.

Speaker 11 (01:10:06):
Want more roses, go to ymsradio dot com.

Speaker 8 (01:10:10):
We love your thoughts.

Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
Warrerosies on internshown in your morning show, Let's Go in
Germantown Melanie, Good.

Speaker 7 (01:10:16):
Morning, Good morning, Good morning.

Speaker 4 (01:10:18):
You heard War of the Roses. What do you want
to say? Oh?

Speaker 7 (01:10:21):
I said, I have worked in the service industry and
I'd rather get cashed and flowers.

Speaker 4 (01:10:26):
Yeah, I would imagine. So thank you for listening to
have a great day.

Speaker 7 (01:10:29):
Thank you you too.

Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
If you want, Do you have War the Roses all
the info ymsradio dot com. We'll have the latest with
the DC plane crash next on intern John your morning show.
We appreciate you listening Internshohn in your morning show. Obviously
a bit of a different morning in the DMV as
last night in the America Airlines flight collided with a
military helicopter. We're doing our best to keep you up

(01:10:52):
to date on everything. Shelby Sauce has the latest.

Speaker 4 (01:10:55):
What you out for us.

Speaker 6 (01:10:56):
So, American Airlines has one hundred team members are either
on the way or here and that's their words to
assist the families of victims. So the American Airlines workers
are specifically trained to handle travel arrangements, hotel arrangements, and
other assistants, and they will be sending their support here
to DC to make sure, they said. The president said,
to make sure that we are taking care of the

(01:11:17):
people in any way that we can unquote, and that
was Robert Is, the president American Airlines. And also family
assistant centers in DCA. And also in which talk Kansas, so,
US Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy said that there was
no communication breakdown between the American Airlines flight and a
military helicopter. He said, quote, obviously, there there was something

(01:11:38):
that happened. You'll get more information, more details, as the
investigation goes forward. But those who live in the DC area,
we see military helicopters fly up and down the river.
It's a standard path they fly, they use, they're used
to aircraft landing at DCA, and there's procedure in place
because this happens every single day. Something that's wrong here,
and I look forward to the time and point when
we can give you that information, but I'm not going

(01:11:59):
to comment right now. The airport will be opening today
at eleven am because all flights were stopped last night.
They did say it's it's safe and they've been working
with all the federal agencies. As of now, the actual
number of bodies that they have recovered so far as
twenty seven at least as of the LASS update. And also,
if you believe you may have loved ones that was

(01:12:21):
on Ford the American Airlines flight, you can call the
number eight hundred six seven nine eight two one five.

Speaker 4 (01:12:28):
Thanks Sas Again, we'll get you the updates as we
get them.

Speaker 2 (01:12:31):
We do know the plane was supposed to land in
a different runway originally. It was that they I guess
diverted the proper term to the runway was gonna land
on that There was also reports too that the helicopter
did make visual with the airplane, though it's not too
short had from that, and again we don't don't want
to speculate.

Speaker 4 (01:12:48):
I guess we don't know.

Speaker 6 (01:12:49):
We don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:12:49):
I think anybody stand they know doesn't know either. We
do know, though, is and I think this is such
a picture of the DMV, even though at times it
feels like it's three different, completely different areas and different people.
They were talking in the press conference about how ems
and fire from Baltimore, from Prince George and Moco all
have stepped up and come down. You're right, though, the

(01:13:14):
entire d m V is now staffing firehouses in d
C while the DC fire departments doing rescue stuff, which
which is a very Yeah, mister Rogers said, look for
the helpers. It's a very you know, slim light I
suppose on this dark situation. But I think that's that's
the DMV. We'll have more as we get it. It
is Intern John in your morning show. We appreciate you listening,

(01:13:41):
Intern John in your morning show on this certainly dark
day in the d m V. Last night in American
Airlines flight out of Wichita collided with a military helicopter
while it's landing at Reagan.

Speaker 4 (01:13:53):
We've been giving me updates throughout the day. There's not
too much that's changed. We know that the was a survivors.

Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
They recovered sauce that leave over twenty bodies, so far right.
They had talked earlier to I mean his last night,
a senator from Kansas had said this particular flight was
new ish, it's only been around about a year. We
know there's members of the US figure skating team on
there as well. And again I think the small slimmer
of lightness to spend the fire chief talking about how

(01:14:24):
fire departments in police from the entire DMV, every county
basically has come down to the nation's capital to help
staff the fire departments while they're searching the record.

Speaker 6 (01:14:35):
Which is very very pon know if this is true,
but you know how there are the tour voats in
the pelomach. I saw this tweet that the owners of
those tours were trying to figure out a way to help.

Speaker 4 (01:14:46):
Oh that's a nast night.

Speaker 6 (01:14:47):
But nothing's come out this morning about it, but I
did see that from a few different sources.

Speaker 4 (01:14:51):
It's a very sad day.

Speaker 2 (01:14:52):
I think there was a news they showed a fellow
who was who got a text from his wife saying
she was landing, and then obviously.

Speaker 6 (01:14:59):
The accent happened. Please, they interviewed.

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
Yeah, it's it's a reminder of life is precious and
you hear it all the time that you don't they
things for granted, and it's just kind of like, oh,
anything can change in a moment. So to our first responders,
we appreciate you always, especially on days like today. Again,
there's no real updates when we If we get updates,
we'll certainly bring it to you. It's intern g on
your morning show, Billy, as I do a quick check

(01:15:22):
here around the room, Shelby Sauce, you are single?

Speaker 6 (01:15:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:15:26):
Are you currently on any dating apps?

Speaker 8 (01:15:27):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:15:28):
Rose, you are married. I am married yet never bound
dating app in your life?

Speaker 1 (01:15:31):
No, I have not been good.

Speaker 4 (01:15:32):
It would be nice they.

Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
Put out the uh what, I guess what the luckiest
dating apps for finding love? Okay, based on your experience, Sauce,
what do you think would be on top of the list?

Speaker 6 (01:15:42):
Can I use logic or just throw something out there?

Speaker 4 (01:15:45):
Whatever you think?

Speaker 6 (01:15:46):
I mean? Like there, it's probably the most popular ones
right now because and are they really lucky?

Speaker 4 (01:15:50):
I don't, but I'd say, which ones do you think
have had the most success?

Speaker 6 (01:15:55):
Probably Hinge before it changed, okay to what it is today.

Speaker 4 (01:15:58):
Okay, which to explain that for folks who don't.

Speaker 6 (01:16:01):
Know, basically they have it now that you almost have
to pay for the subscription or you won't be able
to really match with anyone because everything is behind a paywall,
which they call like a rose wall, if you will,
where you have to send them rose to somebody, and
that's where all the people that are for you are.

Speaker 4 (01:16:18):
Yeah, well basic.

Speaker 2 (01:16:19):
What they do is they for sure note what percentage
people slaping your profiles? Yes, I think they take the
highest right swhite people, and they put them behind the paywall,
so the base of the highest ones you can't access
them unless you pay.

Speaker 4 (01:16:30):
Essentially, yes, so.

Speaker 2 (01:16:32):
This group or they analyze reviews for the most popular
dating apps to see which has been the most positive
over one hundred and sixty thousand, So they focus on
keywords like engaged, married, life, partner, soulmate, beyonce, loved my life, found,
met my husband, wife, so on and so forth. According
to this, Hinge is the luckiest dating app for love

(01:16:56):
in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 6 (01:16:57):
Okay, I do think that it used to be very
successful for a lot of people I know, but that
was before you had to subscribe to every little thing
to use any feature on the app.

Speaker 2 (01:17:07):
Cay be honest, I'm gonna I was a match with
somebody and their thing was like your favorite Taylor Swift song.
Cause I was like, dude, sparks fly and they told
me theirs, and I was like, here's my big flex
met her. She gave me a handwritten notes saying things
come to my show, and they spotted that's nice, and
I was like, can I be honest? I unmatched with

(01:17:28):
them instantly.

Speaker 6 (01:17:29):
I would have on match with you if you had
told me that probably.

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
Would have as well.

Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
Well that's like a fun little knickknack like spark. Well,
am I gonna say? I pause? After you say your favorite?
I tell you your question is what's your favorite Taylor song?
I gave you mine, I asked yours, give me yours?
Where do you go from that?

Speaker 6 (01:17:46):
I understand that, but she sounds like she's such a
swiftie that now she's like, Okay, this guy's always gonna
have something up on me about my favorite artists.

Speaker 2 (01:17:53):
So she was just like that you hurt, y'all. What
am I supposed to say to your favorite oh cool,
cool song?

Speaker 5 (01:17:58):
You could ask about like, oh did you go to
the erastry?

Speaker 1 (01:18:00):
You could ask about her experience.

Speaker 5 (01:18:02):
And the so and that is probably why I would
have went match with you.

Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
And I know what I should. I should go find
her game back. And I also rode in the golf
cart with Taylor's mom and I played like.

Speaker 1 (01:18:15):
I'm so cool I met Taylor.

Speaker 6 (01:18:17):
I think it's good that you in match with her, though,
because the conversation would have gone anywhere anyway. Exactly like
you said, you couldn't say anything back to that anyway.

Speaker 4 (01:18:24):
That's something that's like to what her.

Speaker 6 (01:18:26):
Saying, that's cool. You couldn't say anything back anyway. She
could elaborate on it as well. It was like conversations
over most of you just probably weren't meant to be.
That's just that's just the universe's way alone.

Speaker 2 (01:18:35):
You know, she is going to be living all Taylor
albums and not the fun stuff.

Speaker 6 (01:18:39):
So she's listening right now like I was. I was
doing laundry. I didn't realize that's all I said back.
I meant to say more and asked to see a
picture of the note, and I just didn't think.

Speaker 2 (01:18:50):
She's going to have back to December. It's going to
be her theme for the rest of her life even
though it's January.

Speaker 4 (01:18:56):
So otherwise making listens huh, you saw that's true?

Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
Yea, it was that Hinge, them Bumble and Tinder than Bad,
which I'm not necessarily positive is okay.

Speaker 6 (01:19:09):
So I just it just sounds like those are just
the most downloaded apps. That's what it sounds like to me.
I don't think this is like a real study. They
were just sitting around board and they were like, you
know what, Wow, I let people think.

Speaker 2 (01:19:20):
Well to that point, I don't know like people that
leave reviews on dating apps in general, Like I wouldn't
think positive when if I met my soul.

Speaker 6 (01:19:26):
I never left a review on an app at all.

Speaker 4 (01:19:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:19:29):
I also feel like this information is probably yes, it's
from twenty twenty five, but these people are probably in
established relationships, so the information they have of it being
a successful match is from what one, two, three, four,
However many years ago. It doesn't necessarily reflect the matches
that are being made right this moment.

Speaker 4 (01:19:48):
Yeah, I think that's fair it's it's the absolute it's
the worst.

Speaker 6 (01:19:52):
It's just what's your favorite dating app right now?

Speaker 4 (01:19:55):
None?

Speaker 6 (01:19:55):
Okay, all right, never mind.

Speaker 2 (01:19:58):
It is like I think it's just like you can
just tell that nobody really wants to have a conversation
because they're so tired of it. So it's kind of like, yes,
that's what I'm like, I'm just gonna not.

Speaker 6 (01:20:08):
I've seen on TikTok these like singles clubs that have
been going around the country and there's like a paddle
ball of paddle ball wow, pickleball one, and there's one
for like corn hole and stuff, and you meet. It's
like speed dating, but you're playing playing game.

Speaker 4 (01:20:22):
We should do like a speed dating thing.

Speaker 6 (01:20:24):
I think we should. I have been saying that I'm
you know what I mean, I am cupid. I bring
people together.

Speaker 4 (01:20:30):
Who better You've never hooked up your boy?

Speaker 6 (01:20:33):
I've tried to remember. I was at a bar with
Tamo from DC one to one and I met a
girl from Minnesota and I said to follow each other.

Speaker 2 (01:20:43):
There was like no like that was that was in August,
so yeah, but there was no like, oh, you guys
get along, like, oh Minnesota.

Speaker 6 (01:20:49):
That's gonna be I don't care how much about her
except that she was from Minnesota and had just moved
to DC a year ago.

Speaker 4 (01:20:54):
Yes, yeah, IT'SOK.

Speaker 1 (01:20:55):
A good connection. It's a good starting point.

Speaker 6 (01:20:57):
Your mother also, I think comment like like when we're
talking to your MoMA phone a few days ago, and she.

Speaker 4 (01:21:04):
Was like, yeah, no, wait, why are you talking to
my mom on the phone. I like to catch up
about what.

Speaker 1 (01:21:09):
I love that.

Speaker 6 (01:21:10):
Well, she's gonna be a grandma. I wanted to talk
to her about how excited she is that she found
out she's gonna be a grandma. I didn't know she knew.

Speaker 4 (01:21:18):
Do you know she knew she to me grandma.

Speaker 6 (01:21:20):
I didn't know that you guys had told them already.
So I was I felt a little left out.

Speaker 4 (01:21:23):
Shelby we talked about on the show.

Speaker 6 (01:21:25):
But this is before you talked about on the show. Okay, Yeah,
I just like to be involved, you know, I know,
I know, But I said, I have a trying man.
She's like, not really your mom of course on your side,
she's like, not really. You just say this girl from Minnesota,
you guys should go on a date. I get more
in process.

Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
Yeah, gave somebody text nine nine three three eight with
the attitude're gonna be on a second date update.

Speaker 4 (01:21:45):
So that's.

Speaker 6 (01:21:47):
That's hurtful, that's a burn.

Speaker 4 (01:21:51):
Thank you? Is that what that was?

Speaker 6 (01:21:52):
Yeah? I don't have any ice, but yeah, thank you Shelby.

Speaker 4 (01:21:56):
Well, we'll do second dy update next to you.

Speaker 2 (01:22:00):
We appreciate you espescially on this certainly gloomy day in
the DMV. It is interns John in your morning show tomorrow.
We'll get back to more of the normal stuff. We'll
have your chance and million dollars thanks to Zari Lob
have your Project Low tickets, Kenny Perry tickets as well.
We've been doing our best to keep you informed of
the latest and also be a distraction.

Speaker 4 (01:22:22):
Let's do this from.

Speaker 3 (01:22:23):
The city that changes the world. Peers Rose with three
things you need.

Speaker 4 (01:22:28):
To know for your Thursday Rose.

Speaker 5 (01:22:30):
Whatich you got for us DC fire An EMS chief
John Donneley said that he is confident officials will be
able to recover all bodies of those killed in the
collision last night of the American Airlines flight and the
military helicopter. He said, quote, I'm confident that we will
do that. That will take us a little bit more time,
though it may involve some more equipment. Donny also said
that Cruz found debris as far south as a Woodrow

(01:22:51):
Wilson Bridge, which is about a mile from the crash,
and Acting Prince George's County Executive Tara Jackson posted on
x saying that the debris from the plane crash has
spread into neighboring National Harbor, and she wrote we're closing
the plaza and peers at National Harbor today to further
assist the search and recovery efforts. Also new out no
black box has been recovered from the aircraft crash scene yet,

(01:23:13):
according to the National Transportation Safety Board. But if you
believe you may have loved ones on board flight fifty
three forty two, call American Airlines. The number is eight
hundred six seventy nine eight two one five. That's a
number they're dipping out. And of course American Airlines did
come out and say that they're going to give support
to the families of victims as best they can.

Speaker 4 (01:23:34):
Thank you, Rosen, You're welcome.

Speaker 2 (01:23:35):
We live in an odd time, I think, where a
lot of folks get their news on social media. I
would caution that before you use this as a chance
to get what you think is a political shot in
keve of mind that those families are probably also checking
social media for updates. And I couldn't imagine losing somebody
and then seeing morons on the internet give their opinion

(01:23:59):
or try to take a political shot.

Speaker 5 (01:24:01):
That is not the right time to speculate on what
happened or do that kind of thing.

Speaker 4 (01:24:05):
So it is.

Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
It's not a football game, it's not traffic, it's it's live,
so we'll keep you update again. I think the powerful
thing was that they talked about how all the emergency
responses from the surrounding areas in the DMV Baltimore Police
Apartment to Prince George's who Arlington all helping out And
you think of like, oh, the fire Department's going down
to the site, but then who's guarding the firehouse is

(01:24:28):
how like Loco fire Department went down to make sure
that was taken care of. So it was it's been
powerful to see the DMV come together ogain. We'll keep
you posted when we get more. I just think that
there's not going to be anything real concrete for a minute.
We do know the airport is supposed to open up
at eleven, though, and we'll keep you update as we
get that. It's our goal always keep you informed, keep

(01:24:50):
you distracted. I did not have this on Bingo card,
but Will Smith is back with a new song. This
is Will Smith and Big Sean with Beautiful Scars on
Intern John Your Morning Show, Second date update on Internshohn
in Your Morning Show, you meet somebody you think breaks
the mold. Maybe they could be the one, or at

(01:25:12):
least the one right now, and then they stop talking.
We tracked figure out exactly what's going on. Rebecca, Good morning,
Good morning. So walk us through this. You and Doug
met where.

Speaker 8 (01:25:25):
Yeah, well through hint.

Speaker 4 (01:25:27):
Through hints. And how long ago was that?

Speaker 7 (01:25:31):
Well, it was like a month and a half ago.

Speaker 4 (01:25:33):
Month and a half ago, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:25:35):
And how long did it take you guys to meet
in person after matching on the app?

Speaker 8 (01:25:39):
Well it was about two weeks.

Speaker 1 (01:25:42):
We first had coffee and it was great, like I.

Speaker 8 (01:25:49):
Think we clicked immediately, like it was everything.

Speaker 7 (01:25:53):
It was fine. We went dinner as well.

Speaker 1 (01:25:56):
Okay, but yeah, I didn't know what happened.

Speaker 7 (01:26:00):
Like two weeks ago. I went to her house, like
we had dinner. Everything was fine.

Speaker 1 (01:26:07):
I didn't say over, but everything.

Speaker 2 (01:26:09):
Was like you went to his house, yes, gotcha did
he did he make you dinner?

Speaker 4 (01:26:14):
Or did you guys order in.

Speaker 7 (01:26:16):
He made dinner?

Speaker 4 (01:26:19):
Look at that what he made?

Speaker 8 (01:26:21):
Yeah, like everything like he's so romantic, Like it was perfect.

Speaker 7 (01:26:26):
Everything was perfect.

Speaker 2 (01:26:27):
Okay, but we didn't stay over. So when you left there,
how did you guys leave?

Speaker 8 (01:26:33):
It?

Speaker 6 (01:26:34):
Like?

Speaker 7 (01:26:35):
Everything was good like we like I thought we were
in the same page, okay.

Speaker 8 (01:26:41):
And then I texted him, I called.

Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
Him and he didn't answer, okay, and so and that
was two weeks ago. And so he's given you no
indication of why, no response why okay?

Speaker 4 (01:26:58):
Okay, and no idea okay.

Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
And there's nothing you can think of. There's no like
weird vibes or anything. Again, he may have seem like
we're gonna see each other again soon.

Speaker 7 (01:27:08):
We are, Yeah, No, I have no clue.

Speaker 4 (01:27:11):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:27:12):
And then the final question is how long have you
been single? How long has he been single?

Speaker 4 (01:27:16):
If you know, m.

Speaker 8 (01:27:20):
I've been single for a year.

Speaker 7 (01:27:23):
Okay, I'm not sure about him.

Speaker 2 (01:27:26):
Okay, let me just let's call him. Because making somebody
food it's a pretty big yea. Yeah, So that's like
it's odd that he would put that much investment in
and then just kind of pop out, so let me
call him and track him.

Speaker 4 (01:27:40):
On real quick.

Speaker 2 (01:27:43):
No, No, it'd be fine, It'll be fine. It'll be
fine either way. All right, Hi, callin for Doug please.
Hey man, it's a internsohn. I got sauce and Rose
here as well. Can I talk to you on the
air real quick about something, nothing bad, Just need like

(01:28:05):
thirty seconds of your time.

Speaker 8 (01:28:08):
Sure?

Speaker 4 (01:28:09):
All right, So we're doing a second date out date.

Speaker 2 (01:28:11):
I have somebody on the other line here, Rebecca, if
you want to say hello, Hi, So are you nailed it?

Speaker 4 (01:28:18):
And so Doug.

Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
The reason Rebecca reached out to us she had told
us you guys mashed on a hinge by a month
and a half ago, but you guys have been on
three dates at the last day you made her a
lovely meal, and that she hasn't heard from you in
two weeks. So we're here trying to see where you're at.
I think that's uh, it sounds like you're a stand
up fella making somebody meal very nice, and we just
want to see where your heads at.

Speaker 12 (01:28:43):
Yeah, uh, yeah, everything went pretty good.

Speaker 8 (01:28:52):
Yeah, we had a couple of dates and and you know,
we went out for coffee one time.

Speaker 4 (01:28:56):
It was we know all that.

Speaker 2 (01:28:58):
Yeah, so I guess we're just to see where head's at,
like currently.

Speaker 8 (01:29:01):
Yet I was really, you know, kind of scared me off.
She she still seems ex boyfriends, like she's still sleeping
with an ex boyfriend.

Speaker 6 (01:29:12):
Oh did not even come up?

Speaker 4 (01:29:14):
Yeah that's good point. How did you find how that?

Speaker 7 (01:29:16):
Just well, we were we were just talking about you know,
last relationships.

Speaker 8 (01:29:21):
And and uh, you know, previous relationships, and she explained
to me that she still currently sleeps with one of
her exes.

Speaker 4 (01:29:28):
Okay, Rebecca, is that what?

Speaker 6 (01:29:32):
Well?

Speaker 5 (01:29:33):
But but I'm like, we're not dating anymore, like he's
not my boyfriend anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:29:38):
Okay, Uh is this just for Ianain we all judge?
Is this the acts that we dated a year ago?

Speaker 3 (01:29:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
It's just like, uh, get our needs, Matt, or is
it Do we still have feelings?

Speaker 7 (01:29:53):
No? No, I don't have feelings for him anymore. No.

Speaker 2 (01:29:56):
Okay, okay, So in theory, like if it worked out
with you would cut that off.

Speaker 4 (01:30:01):
Is that we're saying of court?

Speaker 8 (01:30:02):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:30:02):
But Doug, your your thought is it's this odd? The
acts is still even on the minds yeaheah, Okay, let
me just I'm gonna put you guys in hold. Are
you team Rebecca or team Doug eight seven seven nine
ninety five for six State one to call, nine ninety
three three eight to text.

Speaker 4 (01:30:21):
It's second date update on intern John in your Morning show.

Speaker 2 (01:30:23):
Second date update on internshown in your Morning show. We
have talked to Rebecca and Doug. They matched unhinged a
few months ago, had several dates.

Speaker 4 (01:30:32):
He even made her dinner. She'd not heard from him.

Speaker 2 (01:30:34):
According to Doug, the reason he decided to kind of
back off is she let it slip that she is
still having the fun time with her ex. If you
will whose sady you on eight seven seven nine nine
five for six State one to call nine ninety three
three eight to text, so it gets you on hold?

Speaker 6 (01:30:51):
Shelby saucyr thoughts, please, I am team Doug here because
I don't know how that comes up, Like how do
you even let that slip? But also if I was
on a date and a guy I had let that slip,
I wouldn't want to see them either, because it shows
that you're not ready to move on from your last relationship.
I think that's why are we on a date? Why
are we here? Why are you calling into a radio

(01:31:11):
station to see why I don't want to see you guys, like,
what are we doing?

Speaker 2 (01:31:15):
Kayak to that too. If I was the dude, I'd
be like, why am I taking you out? If he's
exactly he's getting the fun.

Speaker 6 (01:31:21):
Stuff, but okay, I don't think of it like that.

Speaker 2 (01:31:25):
But but yeah, why am I doing like the romantic stuff?
If he is related to those duties but still gets
the benefit of that.

Speaker 6 (01:31:32):
I don't disagree because it I just I don't think
that she's ready to be dating if she's still engaging
with her ex boyfriend that way. And also the fact
that you're bringing up on a first date is really
odd to me.

Speaker 4 (01:31:45):
I'd also too that Okay, I don't know the X.

Speaker 2 (01:31:47):
I would say negative exites tend to float around because
when they think you might be moving on, they'll swoop
back in. The guy could be easily trying to be
like listen, I'm here still.

Speaker 6 (01:31:56):
Yeah. It just seems like if you still have that person,
you're life, even though you're like, oh it's been a year,
who cares, why are you?

Speaker 4 (01:32:03):
Guys will hang out rose your thoughts.

Speaker 5 (01:32:06):
I think it shows her intentions in whatever it is
that they're doing, Like she obviously hasn't let go from
the past, and she's not moving forward to take this
relationship seriously. So if his expectations are I am dating
to date you to eventually have something serious, that immediately
shuts it down.

Speaker 6 (01:32:23):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:32:24):
I think that's fair. The phones are blown up too.
Let me go in shermantown is the bet like, good morning, Hi,
good morning?

Speaker 4 (01:32:32):
What'd you want to say? Girl?

Speaker 15 (01:32:34):
So I am a team Doug like the other two
pretty girls that I'm sure everything.

Speaker 7 (01:32:43):
You know, why seek.

Speaker 15 (01:32:45):
Another relationship or even get onto an app to meet
someone new when you're still clinging onto the past. Obviously
she's not ready to let go. I mean, you know,
as a girl, we clean onto a whole bunch of reasons.
You know, it could be a personal reason. She's having
fun time with him for a reason, So it could
just be that that's something that she really likes. But

(01:33:07):
you know, if that's going to be the case, don't
go out, you know, don't be.

Speaker 1 (01:33:14):
On a dating app, don't call on a.

Speaker 15 (01:33:16):
Radio show like it's it doesn't make sense, you know,
and especially if this is something that shouldn't just slip out.

Speaker 7 (01:33:23):
It's not something that you're like oops.

Speaker 15 (01:33:25):
It just accidently, yeah, you know, having you know, I
think that she intentionally had to say it because maybe
she you know, she probably.

Speaker 7 (01:33:35):
Felt a little bit guilty and was like, hey, maybe.

Speaker 6 (01:33:37):
I should just tell you the full truth.

Speaker 15 (01:33:39):
But again, why seek something, you know, if you're not
ready to.

Speaker 6 (01:33:43):
Let go the past.

Speaker 2 (01:33:44):
Yes, I don't disagree with Isabella. Thank you for listening
to have a great day. Thank you right too. I
think if you're not ready to go in the past,
that's fine. Yeah, that's your progue. If certainly don't drag
somebody else.

Speaker 6 (01:33:57):
Are you upset like you are already have are having fun?

Speaker 4 (01:34:01):
Yeah, I'll be going Laurel Brenda, good morning, good morning,
you do well, thank you. What do you want to say?

Speaker 7 (01:34:10):
I was just gonna say, kind of similar to everybody else,
like I'm paying Doug, I think, Yeah, I mean for
the guy to go out his way and cook, you know,
cook you a meal. And I don't know, I just
think some guys are willing to make it work. And
if you're still sleeping with your ex, it's just I
don't know, that's that's kind of crud and you're like
wasting everybody's time. I still think she was in the

(01:34:30):
right for that.

Speaker 4 (01:34:30):
I disagree, Brenda. Thank you for listening to have a
great day. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:34:35):
Somebody texting too, she's been hook up with the X
for a year. You have been single for you? I
guess I should have asked how long they've been.

Speaker 1 (01:34:42):
Any lingering feelings there too?

Speaker 2 (01:34:45):
Let's go in Gaithersburg, Nattia, Good morning, Hi, good morning.

Speaker 4 (01:34:49):
What do you want to say with second day up
date friend?

Speaker 1 (01:34:52):
She definitely sabotage herself.

Speaker 5 (01:34:55):
Yeah, I mean she didn't have to say that, even
though she wanted to be honest.

Speaker 6 (01:35:00):
I'm all for honesty.

Speaker 1 (01:35:02):
But if she really liked the.

Speaker 7 (01:35:03):
Guy and she saw a future with him, and if
she really wanted to, like stop sleeping with her AX,
she could just not say anything.

Speaker 2 (01:35:13):
Yeah you know, yeah, I'm gonna take a stab in
dark here. I think that you're the friend that people
only go to you if they want the real truth,
because you're gonna say it might hurt somebody's feelings.

Speaker 4 (01:35:23):
Is that fair?

Speaker 8 (01:35:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:35:25):
Yeah, Okay, that's a good friend to have though. Now
you thank you for listening.

Speaker 4 (01:35:30):
Have a great day.

Speaker 1 (01:35:31):
How far you too?

Speaker 4 (01:35:33):
If you want to do a second d update? DM
drew up and at y MS radio.

Speaker 2 (01:35:36):
We will have the latest of the American Airlines crash
next time. We want you to know, especially today, We

(01:35:58):
appreciate you. It is internshwn in your morning show. As
I'm sure you know by now overnight, there was a
tragic accident. American Airlines flight landing at Reagan Airport collided
with a military helicopter. There's some reports coming in now.
Shelby Sauce has what we have with the latest what
you got for us.

Speaker 6 (01:36:17):
As Rose was saying, no black boxes have been recovered
yet from the scene of the collision, a National Transportation
Safety Board source told the News and large commercial aircraft
in some smaller commercial corporate and private aircraft are required
to be equipped with two black boxes, so there might
be more than two in general with the helicopter and
the American Airlines flight. So at this point, as we've

(01:36:38):
been also saying, it is a recovery effort, they are
assuming that that no baby will actually survive because it's
thirty five degrees in the water and it's been you know,
almost thirteen hours and Wednesday night's mid air collision over
the Potomac River is actually the deadliest aviation disaster since
November twelve, two thousand and one that happened in New York.

(01:36:58):
American Airlines has one hundred team members that are either
on their way or or either there to start assisting victims.
They did put out a number which I will give
you in about a minute. But the American Airlines workers
are specifically specifically trained to handle travel arrangements, hotel arrangements,
and other assistants. And they are also sending support here
to DC to make sure that they can take care

(01:37:19):
of everyone in any way possible. They did, they're currently
actually doing a press conference in Wichita, and it's just
it's kind of just they're just going over what we're
already telling you. But yeah, there's also family Assistant centers
in DC and DC as well as Wichita. So there
was no communication breakdown also between American Airlines Flight and
the military helicopter either, is what the Transportation Secretary saying,

(01:37:42):
s Doohn Duffy. Everyone just kind of guessed like we
don't have any really concrete thing to say, and we're
not going to speculate, And that's also what senators are saying.
The senator from Tim Kain saying, we're not gonna speculate, right,
now either.

Speaker 2 (01:37:55):
Yeah, So to that point, we know that the plane
was supposed to lay in a different runs way, it
was diverted to this particular runway that's closer to the water,
and so because that plane had to be a little
more east. It sounds like the one thing too, They
noticed that these training exercises with the helicopter pilots doesn't
necessarily mean that it was inexperienced pilot.

Speaker 6 (01:38:16):
It does, said of the both pilots in both air
vessels were experience.

Speaker 2 (01:38:21):
And so it was also poor that the helicopter pilot
was asked to make a visual at the plane at
least made visual contact. But you also to remember the
plane is going one hundred and forty miles per hour. Either,
maybe like eye contact, things could change quickly so that
there's a lot of.

Speaker 6 (01:38:35):
There's a lot going on in that specific area. So
I can't I can't imagine. Yeah, but we don't know,
We don't know.

Speaker 8 (01:38:43):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:38:44):
They also mentioned too that the obviously overnight very cold ice.
So to our first responders, we appreciate you always, but
it's it's unfortunately sometimes that we don't appreciate you as much.
Intrategy like this, So to our first responders, thank you,
and there's a lot kind of coming out. As we
get more, we will certainly give it to you. It

(01:39:04):
is intern John and your Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (01:39:07):
We always mean.

Speaker 2 (01:39:08):
If, but whant to say today especially a huge thank
you to our first responders. We've been playing clips of
the various press conferences and talking about the tragic plane
crash last night, and the one thing I thought was
very powerful was I believe it was the fire chief
talking about how emergency responses from all over the DMV
kind of coming together. I know sometimes we think about
Maryland and the District of Virginia being separate things and

(01:39:30):
we don't really com mingle with each other. However, when
there is a crisis, he was talking about like the
Baltimore A Police Department came down and the Fairfax Fire
Department in Moco Fight Department, and how like the firehouses
in DC were basically all sent to the crash and
while it was happening, these other emergency services from again
like Moco came and staffed the firehouse in DC, which

(01:39:51):
is I think, so so powerful to our first responders.
We thank you always. It is interns John, your Morning.

Speaker 3 (01:39:57):
Show, Intern John and Your Morning Show.
