Speaker 1 (00:00):
And your morning show and a happy Thursday friends. Welcome
to the show. Big Day today, National Produce Missting Day
when you go to girt they missed the produce little
storm absolutely, National Smarties Day, which is the worst candy.
I mean it's not so worse, but it's definitely not

(00:22):
the best. That's great. National Custodio Workers Recognition Day, Workers
National Name your Car Day, which is a pastime of
one Shelby Sauce.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Well, have you named your car?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Not?

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Okay, but it's always a you thing though, so that
doesn't that's not my entire personality is named my car?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Have you named this car? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Which is Jack Skellington. He's a man.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
There is nine nine three three eighths number of texts
you can call eight seven seven nine four six A
one got War of the Roses today, your jingle Ball
tickets as well, Sauce, How was your last twenty four hours?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
It was good.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
I went to my I think it was my fifth
tattoo removal appointment.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Uh it's out in.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
Sterling, which for me, I mean I call anything that's
just like not where I usually go gom unfortunately, so
Sterling is certainly not quam. But it's out there to me.
Uh but it's fine because whenever I go there, I
act like I literally walked in. I was like, every
time I walk in here, I get so scared because
I literally hate the tattoo removal process. It does feel
like you're getting a tattoo. But then yesterday I was

(01:23):
talking to the women that work there, uh Reeny and
Emily phenomenal. Also our friend Lizzie works there and Nora Satique. Yes,
I think the size it whatever. Anyway, I was like,
every time I walk in, I'm like so excited to say, like,
yeap with you guys, and then I by the time
I walk through like the actual door, I'm shaking so bad.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
She's like, you remind me of like a scared poppy.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
It makes me so.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Because I just it.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
It is pretty painful, I will say, but it's like
you're getting a tattoo, but in a bigger surface at
the same time, you know, like a larger needle.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I guess you'd say, is it like a.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Little punches or something like that, and that you.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Said no, kind of yeah, It's like it's like yea,
you know, I mean it's like a laser and that's
the sound it makes and they went out.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
They went up a level.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Last time.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
I was like, I'm gonna hate this.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
It didn't.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
It's it hurts a lot, but it's kind of just
like getting a tattoo over and over and over again
in the same place. So yes, I would say, then
maybe it is more painful than get a tattooed. Maybe anyway,
so that was great, got to catch up with my
friends and then uh, also, Reini has been listening. She's like,
I was in the car with my husband. I was like,
I know this voice and it was me talk. She said,
I was talking about I actually can't remember, but she

(02:30):
was like, no, you were telling this like weird story
and I was like, that's Shelby.

Speaker 6 (02:32):
No.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
I was like, was I bullying John. She's like yes,
I was like a sick So that's cool.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
And then I started to like think of some new
Halloween costumes and deciding what day I would wear each
costume because we kind of have to side on our
show costume. And I didn't realize how difficult it would
be to find out a woman's version of said costume
because they're all like sold out everywhere.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Sure, maybe from last year. I'm not really sure.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
And then I also went and tried to find some
a Halloween decor at the what's it called five Below,
because I feel like they usually have really good stuff,
but all they had was just you know, stuff you
wear having decre.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Okay, yeah, so I don't know.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
I did like actually stuff yesterday for once, and I
didn't feel like I did a lot at the end
of the day.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Sure, So yeah, I was on the phone a lot.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
My best friend might be moving to Arkansas, and I
was like, that's not Arkansas, and that's not gonna be
your Kansas.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
You're not moving, So Kate my best friend.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
I know, it's like very hypocritical because I loved her
for like two and a half years movie to Georgia,
but I was like, you're not moving for a job
or yes, yeah, and the job she'd be phenomenal. But
we were on the phone for a long time yesterday
and I was trying not to be a hypocrite and
actually be like good with advice and you know, weigh
your options kind of deal. I don't think she's gonna

(03:46):
go though, Okay, go on, so.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
I'm gonna text her go no context, do not text.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Her that she's been very stressed out as you as
anybody would be. It's just there's a lot of moving parts.
I'm not gonna, you know, spill her business here, but
there's a lot of moving parts and it would be
a great opportunity for her. But also you know, she
has like another offer here in d C. So I'm like,
why would you why would you move?

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Why would you leave me?

Speaker 4 (04:11):
I was like, is there a guy out there that
could be a little of your life? And like this
is like your journey maybe, But there's a lot of
murder out there too, all right, Okay, And I only
know that based off of some murder podcast that.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Sure gotta be fat my gosh.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
I'm also saw Ozark that's not in Kansas, Arkansas. Yes,
it is Missouri, and it's in Arkansas.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
You watched the whole series.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Uh no, but I know where where the Ozarks are
space in Missouri.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
I understand that.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
But I'm saying the os Okay, you know it now
I have to google to make sure I'm right.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
No, You're not. There is Arkansas. Yeah, but the Ozarks
the show is in Missouri.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
That's that's the point. John.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
I'm saying the Ozarks as a whole also goes into Arkansas. Okay, fair, Yeah,
it was just a very emotional day yesterday, John, that's
all trying to say.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I'm worry about boats in Florida. I saw Titanic.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Well this is the same motion, but that is not
the same and this is not the same comparison whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Okay, I got you, John.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
If you are trying to make you feel dub it's
not gonna work because they're the Ozarks are also in Arkansas.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
I would never try to make it feel dumb.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Oh really really okay.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
I Rose, how was you last twenty hours? It was
really good.

Speaker 7 (05:25):
Yesterday Clint and I went out on a date for
our anniversion because today is a five year right, Yeah,
thank you very much, thank you. So yeah, we had
a date night last night. My mom literally pushed us
out the door and said, you guys are going out tonight.
We had planned like just make dinner at home, not
like a big deal of it, because we're gonna do

(05:46):
something this weekend. But she's like, no, go, and I'm
like sweet. So we had a really nice time. Charlie
did her lunch bunch her extended day at school and
literally had the time of her life. Oh yeah, she
loved it so much. When I picked her up, the
teacher was like, oh, Charlie just had She had so
much fun today. She told her teacher, this is the

(06:07):
best day ever.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
That is so cute.

Speaker 7 (06:11):
I actually got a really funny message from Charlie's teacher yesterday.
Hold On, I took a screenshot of it because I
was literally crying laughing.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
It was the funniest thing I've read.

Speaker 7 (06:22):
She said they had fire like firefighters and a firetruck
go to their school yesterday, and she told the teacher
that She's like, oh man, I forgot to ask the
firefighters if they had a fire kitty, a fire raccoon,
or a fire dog.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
I was like, I was like, that is so funny.

Speaker 7 (06:44):
And she's like I adore this child, and she's like,
Charlie's over the moon for saying for lunch bunch and
she's just like living her little best life.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
It was really cute.

Speaker 7 (06:54):
We have this like specific app that's for her school
that only parents can access, and so they pictures and
messages and all kinds of things until I get to.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
See like what her day is, and it's that's awesome,
so cute.

Speaker 7 (07:06):
She was so excited about the fire truck yesterday as
she should be.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yea, yeah, a little chuck, very fun might Yesterday hockey
started again, some preseason skates. A lot of fun to
see the boys and see how excited they are to
see me. When the kids texted me, do you have pucks? Coach?
I said no, and they said, oh boy. I said, well,
it's more fun for me if the guys don't pucks,
because we'll just skate, and they said it wouldn't be
fun for us. I go, it's not about your fun,
fellas about me.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Well, why wouldn't you have the pucks if you're the
coach though.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Because I'm not at the school. So we're trying to
teach the boys it's their responsibility to like, you know,
wash water bottles.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Yeah, no, no, I understand because like in high school, we
had like a closet where we kept like the little
crossballs and each day the freshmen were supposed to fill
the water thing bringing out the balls. So I was
just wondering, like why that is that not a thing.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
We're trying to teach the boys responsibility? Like, so they
they bring this stuff for practice, but it's like there, yeah,
especially their thing yeah. So that was lovely, although on
the way there got asides I do inside the store,
got some gum, got to the rink, realized m M
my wallet fell out.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Oh yeah, you're a wallet.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
It's like you can't actually a store even make a
movie about your wallet. I forgot you use it more
than anyone.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Like hockey pants that were like the pockets aren't as
deep on them, like the waters fell out. So I
was like, well, this is horrendous because practice starts in
fifteen minutes. I got rushed back to the gas station. Yeah,
and pray that it's there. Went to the pump that
I was at and I wasn't there. Went inside and
I was like, hey, anybody lose a I want like
somebody turning the wallet. But he left and I was like,

(08:34):
they leave with the wallet?

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah, well yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
I was like, okay, sweet, can I have it back?
And then gave it back to me.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
So the guy did not leave it the wall, no,
he but I was.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Like one odd way to be like, yes, we have
the wallet.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
People are very good at communicating. I've realized times like
when you're panicking, it's like.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
One of the worst ways to tell me that you
have the wallet is the Oh the guy left.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
It's like, can you use tell me what actually?

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Like?

Speaker 8 (08:57):
Is it not?

Speaker 6 (08:58):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
No, leaving the hole? That's like when and uh when
Chew is at doggy daycare on Christmas and they called
me Christmas Day like, hey, this is you know, Susie
from daycare. I had some bad news about Chewy. Yeah,
and my heart dropped and I was like, oh no,
this is it? Like he's out of dog food and
I was like.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
I remember when you told me that happened.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
I was like, what, like they need to I don't
know if they need like a script, but what I was.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Like, hey, he's there for three more days, so just
you guys will figure it out. Something you have other
Do you have food there? Just eat him, order him cava. Yeah,
he'll be fine. But getting that call on the holiday,
I was like, this can't be calling me me Christmas.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
My heart was I did.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
But anyway, there we are, so well.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
I'm glad you're back coaching with your your kiddies.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Why do you guys say it like that? I don't
know my young men? Yeah, brothers, Yeah no, no, yeah,
I guess that's with the kids I coach.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
That sounds better okay, whatever, congrats coaching.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Thanks so much. Yeah, first call of the day. We'll
get you my man shirt in a coffee if you

December sixteenth, Capital One Arena, Jelly Roll, you gotta Alex Warren,
Nellie and more. The general on sale is Friday, but
Capital one cardholders you only have a few more hours

Ball get your tickets. Then the general on sale goes
Friday and noon. Let me go in Delaware, Melvin, good morning.
How are you, Joe good Man? What are you doing
for your Thursday?

Speaker 5 (10:54):
Driving?

Speaker 9 (10:55):
The works so far? Right?

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Now, what do we do for workfe I'm me asking, uh,
fix like.

Speaker 10 (11:01):
The thought work and feeling calls at McDonald.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Hell yeah, do you ever fix like the ice cream machine?

Speaker 10 (11:07):
No, we actually got a separate company for that now.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Damn all right, well, Melvin, thank you for listening. Can
get you my man shirt and coffee?

Speaker 5 (11:16):
Bye man?

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Sure hold on a one second, dude, That's that's awesome.
We do this from the city that changes the world.
Peers Rose with three things you need to know for
your Thursday. Rose, Did you got for us?

Speaker 11 (11:27):
So?

Speaker 7 (11:27):
The Office of Management and Budget director told I had
the House yesterday that the Trump administration will start firing
federal employees in the next one or two days because.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Of the government shutdown.

Speaker 7 (11:38):
We do not know specifics about any of this though,
Like there's no specific firing plan, we don't know who
it's going to affect, how many people. But Vice President
jad Vance confirmed shortly after in the White House Briefing
Room that layoffs would happen soon unless the government reopened.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
So hopefully everyone can come to.

Speaker 7 (11:56):
An agreement and reopen the government and then we don't
have to do the layout thing, because that would be terrible.
There are a lot of places giving discounts to federal
workers amid the shutdown, including BGE BG is stepping up to.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Support the federal workers.

Speaker 7 (12:09):
They are offering flexible payment plans, weaving late fees, and
simplifying access to assistance. So they're saying effective customers won't
need to show over an ID to get help, but
they're saying call so they can get like a personalized,
personalized help. So DC residents soon gonna have one less
ride sharing app to choose from.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
We talked about this a while ago.

Speaker 7 (12:31):
Empower the ride share I've never used it, but the
drivers subscribed to its online platform and they set their
own price and they keep all.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Of the money that they earn.

Speaker 7 (12:41):
But the CEO of Empower agreed in court too and
its operation in the district within two weeks, so the
Joshua Seer he was actually threatened with jail time for
contempt of court after being ordered by the same judge
several months ago to hald the service, but he maintains
that his business model is similar to like travel booking
apps like Expedia, so Empower should not have to follow

(13:03):
the same regulations as Uber or Lyft.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
But that will be shutting.

Speaker 7 (13:07):
Down in the next two weeks and if you are
worried about running out of candy on Halloween night, Eminem's
has got your back yet again. They are coming back
with its Halloween Rescue Squad. This is the third year,
so they are just gonna swoop in and refoll.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Candy bowls for free, which is really cool.

Speaker 7 (13:24):
So, starting at five pm on October thirty first, anyone
in a Go Puff delivery zone can call for a
candy rescue and get candy delivered within an hour. So
make sure you have that information saved in the back
of your head just in case you do run out
of candy on Halloween night.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
I'm Rose. Those are the three things you need to
know for the day. Thank you, Rose, You're welcome. I
don't think this is a surprising new reports. If you
have like a smart speaker or use AI in your house,
those systems obviously listen to you. They're going to start
to now advertise things that you talk about. I don't
like that. I thought that was the natural progression, though.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
You always said that was going to happen.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Yeah, so Metas announced they're gonna collect dat if user
interactions with AI chatbots to sell targeted ads. Okay, so
if you ask AI like how to fix your dishwasher
or why something's leaking, they might push you ads for
new dishwashers. Okay, again, that's I don't know. It's one
of those things where do I mind that as much

(14:19):
on the ads are targeted to you, so at least
it's more relevant. Maybe that's the benefit of it.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
I feel like, if you're typing it in and actually
asking it, that's one thing. But if it's just listening
to a conversation. If I have my friends over and
we're getting ready and I'm like, oh, my curling irons
acting weird, and then I started getting curling iron things,
I'm going to freak out.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Well, I mean we already. I know they've never confirmed
it prior to.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
Well, they've always said that they're not doing that, and
there's just absolutely no why.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
But if I talk about beach balls by my phone
for the next five minutes, I would bet you there'll
be beach balls on Instagram.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
In on Amberson, it happens all the time.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
My friend was talking about something so niche when we
were up brunch like a month ago, and then I
just kept getting ads for what specifically she was talking about.
That had nothing to do with me, And I've never
talked about that thing out loud though, like what is happening?

Speaker 1 (15:01):
And they're saying there's not a lot you can do
about it. The notifying users in the coming days will
update the privacy policies, which nobody reads anyway. Yeah, so
there we go. They also say Google's updating their Virtual
Gemini Assistant for your home. You'll be able to have
full conversations rather than speak specific commands.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
That's what I wanted.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
So in example, they say you could tell them that
the dishwashers in draining and ask how you could troubleshoot,
and then in theory, it could walk you through a
step by step.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
I've never I'm not going to do that. I need
to like read it and see it.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Yeah. There's also scary too, because there's something earlier this
week that like a third of the chat GPT answers
for things are wrong because it's like you just trust
in that system, so it's not really verifiable.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
But even I yessterday, I was trying to find something
that I knew for a fact was a real thing,
and it kept telling me it did not exist, Like
what were we looking for?

Speaker 12 (15:49):
It?

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Was something to.

Speaker 13 (15:50):
Do with.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
I can't remember exactly like how stuff. No, I even
did it today, And it said.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
That wasn't real, like a product or like a movie.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Dude. Oh, it was someone that was in a book together,
and I was like looking for something. So I was
just I didn't want to finish the books. I want
to see if they got together. And it said that
they were not ticket that that did not exist. When
Mary well, no, it said, it's a really it's a
well known book.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Harry Potter, don no, no, okay, ain't everything in the
world of celebrity sauce has or entertainment of port coming next?
What you got for us?

Speaker 4 (16:24):
Were we talking about someone that was not as Slen
and Gomez's wedding?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Hang on, If you are a Capital one cardholder, your
pre sale ends today. Our DC jingle ball for It's
in it by Capital one. The lineup is massive. He
got Nelly, he got Conan Gray, Zara Larson, Shine Down, Jelly, Roll,
Miles Smith, Alex Warren a Jr. And more Capital one cardholders.

(16:48):
Right now you sell the first access to get tickets.
That ends today, though, so get your tickets hotnetdieinety five
dot com Slash Shingle Ball everybody Else. Tickets officially on
sale tomorrow at noon. Let's do there. Everything is celebrity.
Sauce has her entertainment apartments.

Speaker 9 (17:07):
You got for us.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
So Selena Gomez and Bennie Blanco's wedding, it's marked some
gossips about their relationship with Selena Gomez. I'm so sorry
kidney donor frances Frasa. So they've been kind of I
feel like it's been last few years, they've kind of
there's been speculations that they're not friends day more so
she Francia was not at the wedding. They're one hundred
and seventy guests and even friends since two thousand and seven. However,

(17:29):
not long after Francia donated the kidney to Selena back
in twenty seventeen, they had.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
A falling out.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
We aren't completely positive what happened, but Francia said that
she stopped speaking with Selena because she continued to make
unhealthy choices like partying with only one good kidney. I mean,
I can't understand how like you gave up your own
kidney to, you know, sure, for your friend, but yeah,
So on the Instagram post, Francia had basically been at
a party for another actress and so people were talking

(17:57):
about it looks like they're not friends anymore, which is very.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Sad because you know, we need that.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
And Zain and Louis Tomlinson, they are reuniting for a
Netflix documentary, so they of course we're both in one direction.
They're taking a road trip bas ly throughout the US
and filming it and apparently it's currently being filmed now,
so Zaan and Louis they are expected to talk about
their one direction experiences, also about you know, Lampain, he
passed away, very sad, and it is reported that Zain

(18:27):
and Louis are doing a multi million dollar pay day
just for this project, which is not surprising. And they
also have been planning a reunion before Lampaigne passed away,
so they're also going to.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Touch on that and very sad.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
Oh and also Eric Dane was spotted in DC. I
cannot figure out which airport though, because the pictures that
I saw were mostly just him at the airport.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
But it will not saying which one.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
I'm just gonna say, I'm just gonna go with it's
DCA and he's not letting als, you know, stop him
from living his life. So he was spot in a
wheelchair at a DC airport and he told one of
the reporters, he's like, you gotta keep the face man
and Mike sports aarts saying that if he wants to
hep living his life. He doesn't want people grieving him.
And you know he's going through this terrible disease. He
wants just loved ones around him to be public. So

(19:14):
over the summer it did come out. He was very
public about how he was diagnosed with ALS and yeah,
his condition is declining. That's why he's in the wheelchair.
Very sad, but not sure why he's here, but maybe
because we have some of the best hospitals here.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Possibly. Oh, very cool.

Speaker 4 (19:29):

dot com. I'm gonna make a bold statement as far
as ice cream treats. Growing up, Chaco Taco my personal
face that was elite. Yeah, but they saw making it
a couple years ago, which is like a real downturn.

(20:19):
But good news from Sauce's favorite fantas food restaurant, Taco
Bells come back to say.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
To day with the Chaco Taco.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Yes, they teamed up with this ice cream shop called
Salt and Straw to drop their own version of the
Chaco Taco.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Where do you get it?

Speaker 9 (20:33):
You here?

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Yeah, they have stores across the country. You can order
it delivery, which is nice, so you can get a
shipped to him. So starting tomorrow you can get all
Salt and Straw shops and so why plus the shipping.
They say, it's not just the regular Chaco taco dube.
This shell is hand pressed oh Man extra crunchy waffle cone,
loaded with cinnamon ice cream and dunked in the chocolate

(20:55):
as well. It to me, it was the best.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
I'm gonna say though.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
This picture on the their website of this taco taco
looks like the adult version. It's like, I means my
kitchen and I made it myself. It looks like amazing.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
It looks like the free version versus the premium version.
And this is the one where it's thick and can
like hold some.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Like I want that, like chewy salty version those too.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
It was at the end it would get like kind
of thin towards the end. Team it's basically just the
shell left kind of gross. But that was like for
me that that was my top. That and like the
ice cream snickers for my top, I go to ice creams.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
Or SpongeBob ice cream Spungebob like popsicle thing.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
With the gum on his eyes. Yeah, where he always
looked like he has survived radiation. That he was at
Snowbila where he's like, yeah, that was always good. Those
the ice cream trucks like, okay, so I'm going chocko
taco one ice cream, Snickers too, give me your top
two sauce.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
We mostly had snowball trucks where I grew up, so
I always got on snowballs.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
That's just like shade ice.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
And they always play the they always play like let's go
Stbusters rights.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah, so that's the art. Number one is the snowballs. Ye,
snowball Okay, Rose.

Speaker 7 (21:58):
I think er the Snickers ice cream is so good,
very rarely, but man, oh man, it's so good.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Do I still hear ice creams in my neighborhood.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
I'm like, I'm on whatever floor, I'm like, twenty stories up,
I'm up.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Even like a drumstick though, those are really good to
the coens where it's like the chocolate and the outside.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Why are you calling it a drum sick?

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Because that's what that's what it's called, called drum sick.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
I've never heard that in my life.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
What he says on the box drumstick. Yeah, drump sticks.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
Oh, I thought you were talking about like soft served
ice cream.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
I'm like, what frozen ice cream and the chocolate top? Those
are those like all time? Yeah, they had a center
in them. Yeah, a chocolate sometimes order. We've had ice
cream cake early on the show before. I think it's fine.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
We kindly do whatever you want. We're we have free
will likes.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
We could do whatever you want to share Fear of
ice Cream nine nine three three eight to a text
I wanted to hit this next for your Thursday the
Psychological Effects of Ghosts, and give me less than three minutes. First,
DC artist Alex MORENZM, you're no help real quick. Before
I even get to this, because I was talking to
Sauce about hinge in this girl. I was like, should
message her and say calfs game? And Sauce goes, no,

(23:11):
say can I take you to my aquarium? And I
go she has the man aquarium? Like what is that?

Speaker 12 (23:18):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (23:18):
Because the hockey, yes, but like without the context of hockey,
she's gonna be like this guy off the FA to
a man aquarium.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Let me take you to interactive aquarium.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
But she's like man aquarium aka hockey game. I can't.

Speaker 7 (23:40):
You can't say it because she one won't know what
you're talking about, and two if you have to explain
the joke, it's not funny.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Thank you, Sauce, give a man aquarium.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
I have a lot to go on and I actually
know her.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
So taking my man zu or I have a bunch
of men behind glass and we can poke on them
and just talk to him. You can't poke on that.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
This was fondly want to be like you even left Brah.
It's fair because you also know her, so it wouldn't
be weird.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Fair. I want to get to this. We do second
Day Up Day on the show to try to circumvent
ghosting and try to kind of help folks out. But
now they're saying that singles are actually suffering from ghosting PTSD. Well, yeah,
it's actually rewire in her blains. You say, well, yeah,
why saws.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Because I think that now even I think that we
expect people to not only just communicate like us, but
we also just think that since we have these devices
that go with us everywhere, that we're going to get
some kind of response and it's always on that person,
and that they would do what we would do. But no,
like a lot of people don't do that anymore because
they don't want to deal with it. It's like, oh

(24:38):
I I out of mind, no consequences.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Yeah, if I almost think too for me, it's like
if that if I ghosted, it's like, did I misread
the whole thing. I'll go back to that girl that
I were a hockey game with who like stopped me
and you heard her say when are you taking me out?
And then we set a date and then she acted
like she'd know I was talking about it?

Speaker 4 (24:56):
Was that really ghosting if you didn't go on an
actual date. I don't consider ghost.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
I mean the week of said the plans a, she
didn't respond.

Speaker 4 (25:03):
I understand that. I just I don't. That's just my thing.
I don't consider that ghosting, But I think they consider
that them just they just they blew you off, okay,
because I think the ghosting it's yeah, but I think
they with ghosting, it's more so like you went on
a date or something, you had some quote unquote in
your mind romantic connection and then they just disappear and
you don't understand why.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
So then you're really caught up in your head, like
what did I do wrong? Was it me?

Speaker 1 (25:26):
If they're saying it's a former PTSD trigger at being
suddenly repeatedly abandoned during the beginning stages of a budding
romance exactly.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
So, especially if you have like abandonment issues and feel
like you're not enough, and you've been dealing with that
your whole life, then it really triggers a lot for you.
It is unfortunate that people can't use their words. But
ghosting is not a new thing. It's been around forever.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
I understand that they're saying. Google searches for I got
ghosted and why people ghosts have surged one hundred and
ninety eight percent in recent weeks, which is crazy weeks. Yes,
that's really sad. Yeah, I'm assuming, but in summer's over. Yeah,
I think that's kind of thing you where now it's
I know, the flings perhaps for sure.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
No, I don't disagree.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
I think though, that it seems like like we've always
talked about, it seems more accessible to get you know,
dates or people, I guess, and then you just kind
of don't want to end it, so you don't want
to deal with the I guess fallout, yeah, or have
the conversation.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Well, this therapist Intrigues says that the ghosting things a
hard pill will swallow, and yet it's the pill daters
are force choked down a daily basis. According to the expert.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
I've had a lot of friends get ghosted, and I
don't really understand it either, because why would you keep
going through the motions and wasting your own time just
to not even talk and just like end it?

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Yeah, And I think I think it's so weird you
never quite get that closure you're looking for. Yeah, So
I think the other person doesn't really know why.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Yeah, And so it's sometimes it's harder to navigate, especially
it keeps happening over and over and over again when
you're just getting back in the dating field. So then
it makes you feel insecure and you don't want to
do it, so you feel beaten down. But also it
just makes you feel like you're not enough. So it
definitely messes with people mentally. I don't think it's nice.
I know that you don't want to have a conversation
and be an adult and user words, but that clearly

(27:07):
like that if you're ghosting people, ever, you don't respect
that person, no, agree, So and you also wasted their
time and your own, So.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Yeah, they say. People have been ghosts are proven to
feel anxious and hyper vigilant and social contact, their self
esteem plummets, They tend to overthink every unread text or
time out in response.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
Yeah, it really like messes with your brain, especially when
you're dating, because then you think that there's something wrong
with you when it keeps happening over and over again.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Yeah what I'm saying, and then go back to like
the receipts and try to be like, where did I misunderstand?

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Yeah? This, so that's why I know.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
I just when I start feeling viothered off, I'm just like, Okay,
I don't think they have something in common.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
I don't know, though, they all say to the other
side of the coin, as singles are giving up on
dating because it's so expensive.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
It is expensive. Yeah, but you can also do free dates.

Speaker 4 (27:52):
You can do like cute little walks, you can do
hikes free.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Yeah, that's there. But I think if you want to
do like the old fashion, like take somebody out out
and you like that thing, like we should start.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Doing picnics again.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
I know it's a little cheesy, but just go to
like a park, grab a blanket, cheese, crackers. If you
don't want to drink, you don't have to wine, coffee, whatever,
that's gonna be like what twenty bucks.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Well, it's interesting too. They also say that in the
new trend is that men want to speed things up
in relationships and get to commitment faster.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Really, yeah, I don't feel like I've heard that.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
They say twenty eight percent of men want things to
move faster and eighteen percent of women. Well, I also
say they're moray tied to not seeing the women. Corey
this research, you disagree.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
I don't know because of my friend. Okay, maybe I'm
not great at talking about this. I've been on one
date this year, even in the last year, but I
don't feel like my friends are single and dating, which
most of my friends are single and dating. I've seen that, sure,
you know, because I feel like I'm helping my friends
and navigate these relationships that it doesn't seem it seems
so open ended that I'm like, this is why I

(28:53):
just don't want to get back out there. I don't
feel like trying to figure this out.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Well, the Clarendon bro is a special breed of broo.
In defense that that that's like a different.

Speaker 4 (29:02):
Like ecosystem, that is a deep different ecosystem.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
I don't disagree.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
It's a little, it's a little and bread, but I'm
they're all dating people like over there.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
That also says that thirty seven percent millennials are hesitant
to commit because of finances, which probably good. You can
afford your date, Yeah, focus on yourself.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
Everything's so expensive right now, especially if you're a single
guy and you're paying for everything and you're taking people
out to dinner. That's a lot for money a week
if you're doing multiple dates.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
All says a quarter of folks would rush moving in
with their partner just to save money.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
I would do that in a heartbeat. I'm so sick
of paying for myself for the partment.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Yeah, what if a backfires, then you got to pay
almost more.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
We got to have a little story. We got to
have fun. You got to be fun for the plot.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Johnny Marshall, would you stay in a hotel that makes
your room smell like this? Hang out? Capital One Cardholders,

(30:06):
Rose has the three things you need to know? Comment
what you got for us? Officially the end of an
era oh no, we'll get to less than three minutes.
We call that text about the first date police. But
us to this from the city that.

Speaker 14 (30:18):
Changes the world.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Peers Rose with three things you need to know forree Thursday, Rose,
whatch you got for us?

Speaker 7 (30:24):
Primate ologist Jane Goodall has died at the age of
ninety one. The Jane Goodall Institute announced her death on
social media, which is so sad. So Goodall started her
research on chimpanzees in the wild in nineteen sixty and
through observation, was able to prove that primate display a
bunch of similar behaviors like humans. The institute said that
she died of natural causes, and the Mariland Zoo actually

(30:46):
made a statement saying that Goodall was a true champion
for wildlife conservation and her decades of research and tireless
advocacy helped to.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Protect endangered chimpanzees and a.

Speaker 7 (30:54):
Spire countless people to care for the planet and its
incredible creatures.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
Just sending up here he is right, yeah, awesome, Yeah,
that's why she's like when I was a kids, she
would cut them and by school.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
That's so cool. Cool, it is so cool.

Speaker 7 (31:09):
So as the government is shut down going into day two,
there's still a lot of unknowns. However, numerous restaurants and
bars in the DNB are offering heavy discounts to federal
workers and at the shutdown. So some places are offering
either all day happy hours with discounted prices or even
offering free items with the purchase.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
Of other items.

Speaker 7 (31:26):
But those restaurants are also concerned that the government shutdown
is going to chase away their customers. Now elsewhere, the
Washington Spirit are hosting a fan appreciation match at Audifield
on Sunday. In the first two hundred Federal employees will
get in for free, which is pretty cool. And BG
is offering flexible playmate pans. They're waving late fees and
simplifying access for assistance, so if you need that, make

(31:48):
sure you call them and you can get that.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
And after nearly three.

Speaker 7 (31:51):
Decades, AOL has officially pulled the plug on its dial
up internet service. I think we all remember that, yes,
screeching of course, yeah, screeching mode of.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Tones, so at it tight.

Speaker 7 (32:05):
In the nineties and early two thousands, AOL connected more
than twenty million users, coined the iconic You've Got Mail,
and then it merged with Time Warner for three hundred
and fifty billion dollars.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Wow, but there's only a few thousand.

Speaker 7 (32:17):
Or there were only a few thousand customers that were
still using AOL dial up because not a common thing
to do anymore. A lot of people are just seuzing
Wi Fi. The shutdown marks the end of an era
for the Internet's earliest mainstream gay way.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
So oh yeah, I was like, man.

Speaker 7 (32:35):
Man, it's pour went out, poor went out? You thought mail,
I'm Rose. Those are the three things you need to
know for today. Thank you, Rose, You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Let's go in manassas fake name Carly, good morning.

Speaker 14 (32:46):
Hi, good morning.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
So you had a cider text you had a first
date last night and it went like super well, why
why did it go out?

Speaker 14 (32:55):
Really well?

Speaker 9 (32:56):
Thank you? He was great.

Speaker 15 (32:58):
He just was a really nice guy. But one thing
he did that really stood out to me was he
knew I went to Maryland and he was like, oh,
are you ready for the football season? And I just
thought that was so sweet that he actually really like
read my profile and like I actually remembered something I love.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Okay, So because he had paid attention and then like
that kind of showed you, like Oh he's invested. It's
not just like a quick swipe or whatever.

Speaker 15 (33:26):
Yeah, totally like he actually read it, thought about it,
and remembered to say some things. So that was that
was a huge shirt on.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
So we think a second date's coming?

Speaker 9 (33:35):
Oh I hope?

Speaker 1 (33:36):
So yeah, okay, can I put you and hold one second? Sure,
let's see this. What's something somebody can do on a
first date that almost like guarantees a second date, like
something that's so attractive? Like in that case? Is the
dating standards are they low relative? Yeah? But I do
get like, Okay, you actually pay attention and you gave

(33:56):
an ish to bring something up that you know I
care about, which makes it. Yeah, what's something somebody can
do on a first date that makes you go, Okay,
I want to see him again? Eight seven, seven, nine,
nine five four six state one to call, nine ninety
three three eight to text sauce? How about for you?

Speaker 11 (34:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (34:11):
I mean I guess if you are picking up things
on my profile when I had bumble like forever ago,
they have the little things that you can you know,
it makes like a little bubble and says roller skating
or live music, you know, and so if they brought
like a data I went on when I had that
on my profile, the guy asked, like, when I started
roller skating, why I picked up that hobby?

Speaker 1 (34:32):
When you have the options, you're saying it has like that,
like picked the first date and has like that the
multiple choice uff.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
No, it just says what hobbies are you into, and
it just st are you on bumble. It's on bumble only,
and it's just like, had these little you had to
pick five, I think, and so I had picked roller skating.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
So he was asking me.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
About that, and I was like I always just kind
of breeze by that part. So that says a lot
about me too. But I thought that was really nice.
Also just being a gentleman. I know that's like so
you know, cliche, but I the last date I went on,
the guy helped me get my coat off, and I've
never had that happen because it was winter, and I
was like, oh my yes, yes, so cute.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
But I never saw him again.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
I still love that. That's that's still like, but but
it really stood out. Yeah, that's that's being attentive. Yes,
it was so nice. Rose about something so they could
do in a first date that would give second.

Speaker 7 (35:20):
Date so I'm going to stop talk specifically about my
first date with Clint, because he was talking about his
mom because her birthday was coming up.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
And I'm not saying you should do this on a
first date, but the.

Speaker 7 (35:30):
Way that he spoke about his mother, I was smitten
right there, because he was just you could tell that
he loved his mom so much, and he was like
trying to plan something to do for her birthday, and
like I helped him. I was like, oh, you should
like go and make her breakfast or like whatever. Yeah,
and he was just like he was so into it.
And it was so sweet the way he talked about
his mom, because I've dated the guys in the past
who were not nice to her mom, and it was

(35:50):
just refreshing. And I was like, wow, I really like that.
That's awesome me personally being on time, Oh.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
Yes, oh yes like that.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Yeah. I especially the reservation somewhere, because then I get
anxiety of, like, I know, the restaurant, like they're trying
to make money and if we're twenty minutes late, that
ruins like their shifts and like that has financial consequences
for other people. I don't like that. And I would
also say two For me, a green flake is like
I don't want to ask all the questions, yeah, or
the one talking. I think because of the nature of

(36:22):
the job, I don't really talk much outside of the show,
just because it's more fun to be observing. So if
I'm expecting to carry the conversation all time, I'm gonna
put my head through the table.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
Or if they only ask about our job, yeah, I
don't like that either. But also when it comes to
reservations and dates, I don't like it when I have
a first date and we meet at the hostess stand.
Oh interesting, always so awkward, and I'm like, do I
hug you?

Speaker 8 (36:46):
Do?

Speaker 2 (36:47):
I say, yeah, okay, it's.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
Like awkward walks to the table and we're like, oh,
let's check the menu out. You've already checked it online
but I didn't, and make that type of like yeah.

Speaker 7 (36:56):
I thought about that before. But meeting outside of the restaurant,
it's definitely a better move.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
Yeah, it's a so awkward. So if you get there
earlier and you're already seated, I love that.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Oh okay, see you'd rather the person we have a
table already, Yes, okay, got it. So you would sometimes
be like five minutes past.

Speaker 4 (37:13):
The yes, okay, but usually, like I do, try to
be on time though, and I'll ask if they're already there,
and I'm like, yeah, are you at the table?

Speaker 1 (37:19):
That's fair. So what's something that somebody could do on
a first date to you that would make you want
to go? Okay, let's see you again? Eight seven seven
nine ninety five for six State want to Call, nine
ninety three three eight context was the attractive thing somebody
could do on a first date that make you go,
I want to see them again? Eight seven seven nine
ninety five for six State want to Call, nine ninety
three three texts We'll get you in holes from Pasadena, Christy,

(37:42):
good morning.

Speaker 13 (37:44):
Morning.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
I saw you had texted in something that you said,
I wish John and Sauce didn't see each other as
siblings because deep down inside they know they'd be good
for each other. And it looks like Sauce responded, What
do Sauce respond with?

Speaker 13 (38:06):
So I can't read it right now, but I'm talking
about you being very perfect and humble. Yeah, that's not you.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
So you wrote that, no, Chrissy.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
I can see the receipt here that the text says
the response to your saying would be going together. Honestly,
I don't think it can handle how perfect and humble
he is signed Sauce, which I think that self awareness
is huge.

Speaker 7 (38:26):
But you know what's weird, John, is when I go
and look at that text, I can see.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
Who sent it and it says sent by John. That's weird.
So I think that's.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Got a band together. And I know she knew that
that was not me.

Speaker 13 (38:40):
Exactly exactly, No, Chris, Honestly, honestly, you are not having
great time with the dating scene, and Sauce always dates
like guys who turned off to beat you. So whatever
the case, I just think you guys should make a

(39:03):
cat that if you both are around, you guys around
the same name at forty at forty years old.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
If you guys are.

Speaker 13 (39:11):
Not there, just be at least I don't know, just
do it or something like that.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
You know, I got you, Yeah, like you said yeah,
thanks Christy Chrissy.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Again, based on the text response, I know that's what
Sauce wants. Bias, John, my.

Speaker 4 (39:32):
God, should be so Sillybudy, you're trying to wish this
into existence.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
Prince, Prince Charmy rolls in. Some people aren't ready for it.
And that's clearly Sash.

Speaker 13 (39:41):
Because because I know no one can handle John like
pu Sault and honestly, Sauce you will keep him in
his place.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
I mean god, okay, like their toughest journey.

Speaker 9 (39:51):
Sau.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
So shouldn't there be some benefit to Sauce because of me?

Speaker 2 (39:57):
Apparently not?

Speaker 1 (39:58):
No, Absolutely, this this project is there's no benefit to her.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
Just beat me this submission.

Speaker 9 (40:08):
You John, you are like.

Speaker 16 (40:10):
A sweet little puppy.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Honestly, you are so true. It's true. Christy, I am Christie.
I agree with you. I'm adorable man. Please get your coffee,
Christy for listening. Yes, thank you for one second.

Speaker 7 (40:25):
I need you, guys to not not make that that
never needs to happen.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
You guys, wait, don't say don't worry like it's your call.

Speaker 9 (40:33):
Dude.

Speaker 1 (40:34):
I would say no to you, bro. Yeah, I don't
be like, don't worries. If like you're the one who's
like no, I would be like, no, you're good. Not
you're good, dude. First of all, you're the reason your
parents are so close, you shared trauma having to deal

(40:56):
with you. It's like they're seeing me having to deal
with you now. But it's a they've passed it on
to me, and I now take on that burden from
the great Tony and Megan. That's why when you FaceTime
your mother and I this weekend, your mom is excited
to see me. John, You're like, thank god, I have
an ally now in.

Speaker 4 (41:10):
The chat, Oh my gosh, that's exactly what she thought.
That's crazy. I we would never work out because I'm
alpha and you're not. And we've had this conversation and
I just.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
I'm too fun.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
Is that what it is? Huh?

Speaker 2 (41:23):
Got too much going on? You could handle it?

Speaker 12 (41:26):
You do?

Speaker 4 (41:27):
I know for a fact you couldn't, but you want
to try, and it would be embarrassing. So I wouldn't
want to embarrass the show.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
Why would it be embarrassing.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Because you want to be able to handle it.

Speaker 4 (41:33):
I'm like, so, Also, I just wouldn't want to argue
with you all the time. We all know you argue
so much.

Speaker 7 (41:38):
You guys argue every single day. At some point, I'm like,
are you guys fighting?

Speaker 1 (41:42):
But we are? We are Dwight and Jim in this case,
I'm Jim, You're Dwight, So just run the same page.

Speaker 4 (41:50):
I don't disagree, but do you think that maybe like
the way that you act has made me this way
because I'm like, now we're projecting.

Speaker 15 (41:56):
Now.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
Whenever you start act like that, I know.

Speaker 1 (41:58):
You to do this.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
Oh, I've been from the John for nine years. Whenever
he does this, he says that.

Speaker 7 (42:06):
Some people are like, oh, she's crazy, but who made
her that way?

Speaker 1 (42:10):
You? You cannot blame the ways her personality on me.
She's been the same kid with her personality. Well, she's
been the same kid her entire life. What's happen with me?

Speaker 2 (42:21):
Don't be Jel will tell you.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
I'm not Jel.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
My personally always shine through. John has it. I didn't
have to work hard for.

Speaker 4 (42:28):
It, It's just there nothing.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
Didn't you have your own corner for naf time?

Speaker 2 (42:35):
I did.

Speaker 4 (42:35):
I had my own corner up until fifth grade for
my timeouts when I was in high school and high
school and elementary school. I feel like I'm half asleep
right now. I'm sorry anyway. Yeah, I don't think. I
don't think that's a good idea, but thank you Christy
from passing it.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
I don't. I don't like that idea at all.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
It's crazy. You texted her back that you text it
shows you as John.

Speaker 4 (42:59):
No, no, no, no, Okay, well this has been so great,
we can't. We can't like probably follow this up in
like two weeks again, or I'm busy.

Speaker 1 (43:09):
Then, yeah, I'm busy in two weeks, I can't.

Speaker 4 (43:10):
Okay, Well we can discuss this because we're going to
keep discussing it so un Yeah. So I just don't
think it's a good idea, Like why why I take
away from what we have now?

Speaker 2 (43:20):
It's great.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
I also vote because what we have now is really good.

Speaker 2 (43:25):
I think it's good.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
You're my best fry douche.

Speaker 2 (43:30):
That's what I thought, my friend, my best guy friend.

Speaker 1 (43:33):
It sounds like not say douche. I'm sorry, okay, but
we both thought it. I was like you, I do
not I said, dude friend, But like sometimes it would
be good to be your best douche friend versus your
worst douche friend, because that I think.

Speaker 2 (43:45):
That that's a good point.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
It's all perspective.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
Yeah, I just don't think it's because like we're friends
and it's so fine, and I.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
Think it was a serious question. It was I'm sorry,
brushing bubble, you know what I mean. Okay, although your
parents will love to have me in the family, No,
I don't think. So everything'selebrity sauce has entertainment apart coming

I'll use this when I was an eighth grade we
went to Cheeseburger Cheeseburger and Fort Lawerdal where they had
like lunch pound cheeseburger and if you ate it, you
get your picture on the wall. I scarfed it and
then within about thirty minutes had to get rid of
it and catch my drift. And we're walking back to

(48:32):
the car. There's like a fancy restaurant nearby. The wouldn't
let me inside to go. I remember my parents asked,
and so instead went out back in the parking lot,
and I'm sure they thought bear came. I was a
beton man because it was sweet. Took a giant douchie
in the parking lot of this our scale restaurant in
Fort Laardelle. You know they for sure thought like as squashed.

Speaker 15 (50:00):
Like six years?

Speaker 1 (50:01):
Okay, and we broke up? Why?

Speaker 9 (50:04):
Uh? He cheated on me.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Okay, he no, I mean that's that's more than enough
reason to bring up somebody. So you do that. What happens?

Speaker 15 (50:15):
So, uh, it was like, oh, this is not my
proudest the moment. So I went out and hanging out
in the bar and.

Speaker 12 (50:25):
I saw his dad, and his dad's definitely a jils
and we hooked up and uh that's I mean, he's
not like a really old dad. He's only like like
eighteen years old.

Speaker 15 (50:38):
So it's like he was always hot and I was
really nice and really caring and have.

Speaker 12 (50:42):
A lot of the qualities, but did not have sure
and we went there.

Speaker 9 (50:47):
So I hooked up with him.

Speaker 1 (50:48):
A one time thing or what happened?

Speaker 12 (50:51):
I mean, uh.

Speaker 15 (50:55):
Like three times?

Speaker 1 (50:57):
No shame?

Speaker 9 (50:58):
All right?

Here we are eight seven seven nine ninety five for
six State one to call nine ninety three three eight

(51:46):
to text in Woodbridge, James, good morning, Good morning, John,
laid on me man, what happened show?

Speaker 17 (51:54):
I was a rookie fireman, just got what they call
my red helmet, which basically makes me a fireman. And
so my crew, to my crew took me to this
old restaurant called fudd Ruckers. Yeah Ruckers has for people
that don't know, fudd Rutgers has two different sandwiches. There's
the pound burger, which is kind of like the standard burger,

(52:15):
and then there.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
Was a two pound.

Speaker 17 (52:18):
Well, most of my guys thought it was really cool,
so they bet that nobody would be able to eat
the two pound burgers. Mm hmm, Well I happened to
order the two pound burgers, No big deal. I ate
it all completely great. Then later that night we got
put onto what's called a box alarm, which basically means

(52:39):
the closest fire trucks go to basically the where the
fire was. I was since it was our dew, meaning
our area. I was the first one in and uh,
let's just say, the burger came back up your helmets.

Speaker 15 (52:56):
I threw up and no, actually in my oxygen ask.

Speaker 18 (53:00):
Oh no, yeah, fire, Yes, it was all yeah, okay,
I mean it was great.

Speaker 17 (53:11):
I finished the fire and I had to clean it out,
but still was it was yeah at that time.

Speaker 1 (53:18):
All right, James, one second, you're right, thanks fighter. Let
me go. Amanda, good morning, Good morning girl. You sound
remorseful at all. Laid on me said.

Speaker 19 (53:33):
So.

Speaker 11 (53:34):
Yeah, in the process of me going through a divorce
with my now ex husband, we're basically had to handle
some business.

Speaker 14 (53:45):
Affairs and needed to meet up with his lawyer.

Speaker 11 (53:49):
You know, some information as you do. Yeah, and I
found him attractive and he actually contacted me to to
get some more details are business and gave.

Speaker 17 (54:01):
Exam exactly exactly how.

Speaker 1 (54:06):
Many how many times did you may complete the fifth.

Speaker 11 (54:10):
I would say about four times okay.

Speaker 4 (54:13):
Did he just like call you and he's like, do
you also want to hang out? Like like any of
this stuff, but do you want to like hang out?
Do you want to come over?

Speaker 11 (54:21):
So he called me and then we were just talking
about business and then it just turned a little bit
more personal. He would commented on on my you know,
my looks, and I was like, yeah, I find mutual.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
I'm not a catwoman anymore.

Speaker 3 (54:36):
Bit I didn't know.

Speaker 4 (54:38):
Yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (54:41):
One time, yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
Happened to me?

Speaker 1 (54:45):
Yeah, Amanda, one second question, hold, really are you okay?
Like how does this happened?

Speaker 2 (54:58):
Because you hear these stories all the time, like, oh
then they did?

Speaker 1 (55:00):
I'm like, you never had your divorce damn step one.

Speaker 2 (55:07):
Very yeah first divorce?

Speaker 1 (55:10):
Yeah yeah, yeah, time dude, Yeah absolutely.

Speaker 2 (55:13):
First husbands Yeah?

Speaker 1 (55:15):
Uh me going Capital Heights Mark in morning, good morning,
I mean not your past moment. What happened?

Speaker 9 (55:22):
So girlfriend of two years at the current time, we
were having some some fun time. Hell yeah, brother, and
I get a slap in the face and then I
wake up and did you go to sleep?

Speaker 1 (55:38):
That's tough. Yeah, it's tough. Did you play it off
like you really just feeling the moment? Like Andre BUTCHELLI
or what did you? Just what'd you do?

Speaker 9 (55:45):
I really couldn't, I really could, but I was I
was snoring apparently.

Speaker 1 (55:49):
Yeah that's tough. Yeah, all right, all right, I was sleeping. Yes, nice,
I was just really feeling my eyes are closed, is
right in the moment, just really in the zone. The
snoring nakes a little bit different. That's tough for sure.
Let me get this lobbies. Erica, good morning, Hi, good morning,
I girl, non impass moment. What happened?

Speaker 9 (56:13):
So I basically crashed out.

Speaker 17 (56:15):
My ex cheated, so I sweated his toilet.

Speaker 14 (56:19):
I took all of the forks out of the house.

Speaker 11 (56:21):
I took all of his matches and lighters so he
couldn't smoke once I left.

Speaker 17 (56:27):
Absolutely, I knocked everything out of the dresser, poke, used
the pins to.

Speaker 11 (56:31):
Poke the holes in the condoms.

Speaker 14 (56:33):
I did all the time.

Speaker 15 (56:35):
I took the sheets because I bought them and I
was pregnant at the.

Speaker 1 (56:39):
Time, so it was very badly well, Erica, the fact
that you said you sort of crash out, its hilarious
to see a full crash out. Now, how did you
How did you plug the toilets?

Speaker 9 (56:49):
Oh?

Speaker 13 (56:50):
I just put a bunch of toilet paper in it,
you know, like the older Baltimore houses.

Speaker 14 (56:55):
The pinting, isn't that.

Speaker 1 (56:57):
No, it didn't take sure, Sure, that's okay. And then
the poking the holes in the in the protection.

Speaker 2 (57:03):
That's terrible.

Speaker 1 (57:03):
Yeah, that's uh, we don't judge, No, but now you're
better for it. Erica. On one second, you're in the running.
Vote for your fate over text nine ninety three three eight.
So I texted, I took a dump on the floor
of a subway in Va Beach.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
Okay, Wow, that.

Speaker 1 (57:18):
Seems fairly intentional.

Speaker 4 (57:19):
Yeah, it seems were you just like in the middle
of the subway where you know, the subway bathroom.

Speaker 1 (57:25):
Yeah, I mean just question. He just had his foot
long and then had to go. I get it. Let
me go, LaToya, good morning, LaToya. There, I'm here. There
we go. You and your boyfriend ride a buffet and
what happened.

Speaker 20 (57:41):
Yeah, So we went to go eat, and you know,
I eat all my food and everything, and I'm still
and fine. But when we get home, I start to
feel kind of queasy, and I'm laying in the bed
and I'm telling him, likeday, I don't feel good, you know,
He like it's Okay, just lay down, You're gonna be good.
And then as soon as I tell him, I'm like,
I think I might have the stomach flu or something.

(58:02):
Mid sentence, earl all over him.

Speaker 1 (58:05):
Oh my god. Wait, how how long were you guys
into dating? Like, how long guys you got at that point.

Speaker 20 (58:12):
At the time, I think we worked three years and look.

Speaker 1 (58:17):
At Okay, I'll tell you one second, you're in the running.
That's doorable.

Speaker 2 (58:21):
Yeah, at least it was like three weeks.

Speaker 1 (58:22):
I do think, like legitimately, that is a good test,
like the first time you're like sickly sick, to see
how your person cares.

Speaker 2 (58:29):
I definitely agree with it.

Speaker 1 (58:31):
I'll risk getting sick for you, like versus like I'm busy.
They need this guy.

Speaker 2 (58:36):
I only even date for a little bit.

Speaker 4 (58:37):
He took the best care of me when I was sick,
and I had actually gone over there to end things
with him, and I was like, you know, it's like
I cannot so I was trying to, you know, make
it last a little bit longer. But then I heard
he made out with somebody clearing the ballroom, so I
ended it anyway.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
I's trashy.

Speaker 2 (58:57):
Yeah, it was like I had that kidney infection.

Speaker 1 (58:59):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, call for your fate over text nine
nine three three eight. It is a big day if
you are a Capital one card holder. I know it
seems like we're just talking, but the reality is like
the show is going to sell out. I think you know,
we don't tell you things unless we believe it. We've
sold more tickets in the pre sale than we did
last year than ever before. Correct, and last year when

(59:20):
the tickets want to sell to everybody is sold out
in a day. There's going to be less tickets available
tomorrow at noon because we've sold way more than we
did last year. So that's two point things. If you're
a Capital one card holder, please take advantage of the
next couple hours, like you only have a few hours
left to get your tickets, and then everybody else tomorrow
at noon the general on sale for everybody to see.

(59:41):
I mean, the lineup is stacked. I've been Conan Gray
has been popping out. Mean he's been around for a minute,
but yeah, like Cranberry vodka has been popping off. I'm
hearing everywhere. I feel like, yeah, take time, Olivia, Dean
is popping off everything everywhere. Yeah, yeah, And I've always
kind of said I mentioned I had a talk to
our sales apartment, like record labels will give us artists
they know are gonna be big in the next couple

(01:00:01):
of months, and this is just to get them stage.

Speaker 4 (01:00:03):
Experience, and you're gonna get to see all their hits too.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
And that is the best part about jingle Ball. And
that's always complaining about shows where it's like, I know
you want to hear the hits, but I'm gonna play
the stuff I want, AMPLA. It's like, no, I want
the hits, damn it.

Speaker 4 (01:00:16):
And then everybody's just stating there like quiet, like I
don't know the word well.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
And the cool thing about jingle Ball the stage rotates,
so while like a Jr. Is performing, Jelly Rolls getting
ready to go, and while Jelly Rolls performing, Zara Larson's
ready to go and the stage only just spins and
there's no bathroom break.

Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
It's awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:00:32):
But also you'll get better seats if you do the
Capital one pre sale, Like my therapist even got a
Capital one card just to get her daughter ticket. Oh really,
so that they would have better seats because she's a
huge fan of AJR.

Speaker 1 (01:00:44):
Oh, I'm so excited to see those dudes.

Speaker 4 (01:00:45):
Yeah, so, I mean it's definitely worth it. And I
know that when it sells out, you know, everybody's going
to be like, I can't get me.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
No, we can't, No, we cannot.

Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
We don't know if we have tickets. Yeah, fun part,
I mean listen, yes, never know. But anyway, a hot Neddie,
I'm com slash jingle Ball the votes coming in, Amanda
hooking up with your access lawyer.

Speaker 9 (01:01:05):
Girl.

Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
You win tickets?

Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
Okay, good for you. I love that.

Speaker 14 (01:01:08):
AWO, thank you one.

Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
Second, get your info more jingle Ball tickets. Eight forty
got War the Roses about fifteen minutes on intern john
Your Morning Show, which got War of the Roses coming
minutes on intern Johnny Your Morning Show. Quick yesterday before hockey,
I got some kind of bizarre news. I got an
email from the Grammys, like the National Recording Academy saying

(01:01:32):
that my album from last year is being considered for
a Grammy.

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
That's so cool.

Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
Did you submit it or does someone do with that
on my Well not if it's just like with the
when you upload the albums, like the iTunes and stuff,
but that's what happens. But I got the email. First,
I was like, Okay, this probably isn't real. Then they
send me a submission for him, and I was like, oh,
like the result of like, here's where your album is.
What is concerning is so it's the album from last year. Yeah,
they put me up in the comedy Okay, that makes sense,

(01:02:01):
audiobook narration, sure, storytelling, sure, children's.

Speaker 11 (01:02:05):
I saw that.

Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
I was like, children, It's like that album is so
what My mom was angry because there's knotty words in
definitely friendly. So I don't even know again that this
has been a week of me not knowing what to
say about things. I never in a million years thought
that would even be a thing, do I think again?
Nomination probably not, but can be considered. It's pretty. It's amazing.

(01:02:27):
It's amazing, huge, dude, it's amazing. The Chewy album isn't
eligible until the twenty seven twenty seven Grammys, like a year.
This is for twenty twenty six. Yeah, but this will
be it comes out in February. Yeah, so the Chewy
album's not eligible, although he's on the cover of this one,
which is cool. I think the Chew album's better, but
it's still yeah, it's uh, you know, still bad. It's

(01:02:48):
been a crazy two weeks. So may i't know if
that album going number two last week when the other
one was number one, like helped maybe if.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
That's what maybe remember one last year?

Speaker 1 (01:02:58):
Yeah, I don't know, it's it's it's a crazy it's
great things.

Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
So like, I don't know this guy is, but let's go.

Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
We're officially in consideration for Grammy. Now say, by a miracle,
your boy gets Nominationally, I was gonna say, who's the
plus one?

Speaker 9 (01:03:15):
Do I?

Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
Because he'd had to make a big entrance on the
on the red carpet? Do I ride Eric? He gives
me a piggyback ride? Do I do that? In Star
Wars the Empire strikes back, We're on hoff and I'm
I'm riding Eric. I'm Luke Skywalker. Yes, do we do that?

Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:03:33):
Or you could go with Hoodie and he could keep
just like adjusting like your suit to make sure you
look like snazzy, like he look like he's like.

Speaker 2 (01:03:41):
You're your assistance, like old on, like.

Speaker 1 (01:03:46):
He's treating a car and he he's the fluffer. To
agree with what Sau said, I'm the only one that
knows how to tie an actual bow time classics. You
know how I try.

Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
It's so hard to learn when I was dressed as
Peaky Blinders in March. So I know for a fact
I cannot.

Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
Can't even tell your shoes. So if it happens to
me that there we get the nomination, I'll bring the
whole show on the house, the whole show. Yeah, I'll
figure it out. I know how to tie my shoes
than Erica Quick quakepol whose shoes are the most untie

(01:04:26):
on the show. Eric, over overall over, Eric, you step
on your shoelace like you are in third grade.

Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
He has his shoelaces like on the side high school.

Speaker 1 (01:04:39):
But if I Eric, if I get the nomination, Kay
on the red carpet, what do you mean to be
a moment on the red carpet? We go viral for
sure for the show.

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
I think your plus one. But it's fine that you
didn't think that.

Speaker 1 (01:04:52):
You won't even show up to the Red card bank.

Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
Why would Why would I fall asleep and miss it?

Speaker 1 (01:04:58):
Because you'd probably be a little do you know? Wow,
let's be that's true.

Speaker 4 (01:05:05):
Too hard for John's not grammyss Wood rally.

Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
Are you kidding?

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
I don't feel like you know me at all.

Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
Okay, well if if if it happens, well the whole
show will fly out, that'd be cool.

Speaker 2 (01:05:18):
That'd be fun.

Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
Party. Yeah, because you know, things don't get proved that
quickly here. I'll still submit it.

Speaker 4 (01:05:25):
Just like do it and ask for forgiveness after you
submit anyway, because like we're gonna we're gonna do it
any either way.

Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
That would be the one thing that we get in
trouble for of all things here, that'd be like show yes, yes,
so content for work.

Speaker 7 (01:05:39):
We talk about the Grammys on the show anyways. Something
you would just be first handle starting.

Speaker 1 (01:05:43):
Yeah, is we could be on the other side of
the red carpet interviewing you. You guys are spread out,
so it's like who this guy. Stop. It's like John
John somebody it's.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
Not you John Laney.

Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
Okay, answer, We just we'll find the show out and
a bunch of listeners. So there's like one hundred people
in their car, but just stacked to ask me questions.

Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
Like a different radio station.

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
Yeah, yeah, well BBC and like CNN, Fox and make out. Yeah,
the air news network will say iHeart.

Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
Radio because that's like too big.

Speaker 1 (01:06:19):
Like I always be like Oh, I'm really big with
the Indian independent news stations. Yeah. So anyway, it's very
cool my album last year in consideration for a Grammy.
I think we find out in a month or so.
But it's very cool. Sod, thank you, I appreciate it.
It's been a wild week. Let's do this from the
city that changes the world. Peers Rose with three things

(01:06:40):
you need to know for your Thursday Roads. What you
got for us?

Speaker 7 (01:06:43):
So obviously we are on day two of the government shutdown,
and the Office of Management and Budget director said yesterday
that the Trump administration will start firing federal employees in
the next one to two days because of the government shutdown.
He did not give specifics about the firing plan, So
I have no idea, I can't I can't give you
any information, but I will say that Vice President JD.
Dance Bands confirmed shortly after in the White House Briefing

(01:07:06):
Room that layoffs would happen soon unless the government reopened.
So hopefully they can come to some sort of an
agreement because it's both sides blaming each other.

Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
Which whatever politics. So there are a lot.

Speaker 7 (01:07:20):
Of places that are giving discounts and federal workers amid
the shutdown, including BGE. So BG is offering flexible payment
plans or waving late fees and simplifying access to assistance,
so if you need that, you won't have to show
your government ID to get help. But they are saying
to calls you can get individual assistance. So DAC residents
will soon have one less ride sharing app to choose from.

(01:07:42):
The CEO of Empower agreed to in court to end
its operation in the district within two weeks. Now empowers
drivers subscribe to its online platform, They set their own prices,
they keep all the money they earn, which sounds kind
of cool.

Speaker 1 (01:07:53):
But Joshua Seer was threatened.

Speaker 7 (01:07:55):
With a jail time for contempt of court after being
ordered by the same judge several months ago to halt
the service. I remember talking about this several months ago
as well. So Siras has maintained that his business model
it's similar to travel booking apps like Expedia, so Empower
should not have to follow the same regulations as Uber
and Lyft.

Speaker 1 (01:08:11):
That's what he's saying.

Speaker 7 (01:08:13):
And if you are worried about running out of candy
on Halloween night, Eminem's is they got you covered. So
they are returning with their Halloween Rescue Squad for the
third year and they will refill empty candy.

Speaker 1 (01:08:25):
Bowls for free.

Speaker 7 (01:08:26):
So this is starting five pm on Halloween night, October
thirty first, and it's anyone in a Go Puff delivery
zone that can get the candy rescue and they deliver
it within an hour.

Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
So you have to have the Go Puff app and
you have to be in the delivery zone.

Speaker 7 (01:08:39):
But freaking like, if you run out, you don't want
to be the house that runs out of candy.

Speaker 1 (01:08:42):
Absolutely not, but if you do, they're gonna rescue you.
I'm roselos are the three things you need to know today.
Thank you, Rose, You're welcome, and let me go. Ray Chill,
good morning, Hey guys the morning. I got your email.
We'll do this next, okay, okay, sound good. I wore
the roses about three minutes on interns John in your
Morning show. One of the rosies on Internshohn in your

(01:09:07):
Morning Show. You are with what you think is the
love of your life. You think that the one for you,
but then things start to not add up. We try
to see what's going on. Rachel, good morning.

Speaker 14 (01:09:18):
Hey guys, good morning.

Speaker 1 (01:09:19):
So walk us through this. You and Jake first matched
on bumble about how long ago?

Speaker 16 (01:09:25):
Yeah, we met, She'll bumble like three months ago, Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:09:28):
And what about Jake made him stand out from the
endless sea of men on dating apps.

Speaker 14 (01:09:36):
I mean from his pictures and stuff.

Speaker 16 (01:09:37):
I thought he was really cute, so that I guess
like initially attracted me to him. And then you know,
after like our first date, I just kind of felt like,
you know, you meet a lot of guys that are
like super flaky, and he's just like not flaky, Like
he really kind of makes me a priority, and I
really liked that about him.

Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
Yeah, I was gonna bring it up because you mentioned
in the email, even though he's got a busy schedule,
like he always made it seem like you were still
like you make time for calls and checking in and
like he was going the extra mile, so to speak.

Speaker 14 (01:10:08):
Yeah, his job is super super busy, but I feel.

Speaker 16 (01:10:11):
Like even if he has like twenty minutes, he calls me,
you know, just to like caring, and I really like
that about him.

Speaker 1 (01:10:17):
Okay, But Cornet Email, over the course of the last month,
that's kind of changed a little bit.

Speaker 16 (01:10:23):
Yeah, I feel like all of a sudden, I don't
know if he's just pulling back or whatever, but he's
not as successible, Like I'm having a hard time getting
a hold of him. We're not seeing each other as much.
I just don't really know what.

Speaker 1 (01:10:35):
Changed has he had, Like a change in his like
schedule or like life in generally like no, like.

Speaker 16 (01:10:42):
His his work schedule was like essentially, I mean as
far as I know, like it's the same.

Speaker 14 (01:10:47):
His dog died recently, like.

Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
Last month's up.

Speaker 16 (01:10:51):
But yeah, I mean, and I feel like I've been
trying to be really supportive about it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
What kind of dog?

Speaker 14 (01:10:57):
His name is Rocky? Oh, name is Rocky?

Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
Yeah, the bull dog.

Speaker 14 (01:11:01):
He's super.

Speaker 16 (01:11:05):
Yeah, But I don't know, Like I just I guess
I didn't. I'm just kind of confused, Like I'm not
really sure what's going on.

Speaker 14 (01:11:14):
It feels like a big change.

Speaker 1 (01:11:16):
It explained to me the golden necklace. So you were
at his place a couple of weeks ago, did a
little digging and what was that?

Speaker 16 (01:11:24):
So it was my birthday recently and I was at
his place, and I don't know, kind of like with
everything that's been going on, I I'm feeling was a
little insecure, and I found this gold necklace, and I thought, oh,
my birthday is coming up.

Speaker 14 (01:11:38):
He's definitely gonna this is a present for me.

Speaker 16 (01:11:40):
I'll get it on my birthday and I you know,
put it back whatever.

Speaker 14 (01:11:43):
And then on my birthday, we got dinner and he
took me to a spag got a massage like it
was really nice.

Speaker 16 (01:11:50):
But I kind of kept waiting to get the necklace
and I never got the necklace.

Speaker 1 (01:11:54):
Okay, love, Actually that's what I was saying too. Let's
do disas. But no, no, I mean, like as somebody
who lost a pet this year, that is it's the worst.
So so let's do this, Rachel. We'll call Jake off
from the roses. They should clearly go to you girlfriend
three months. If they do, put him on hold. See
what you want to do if they don't, look at

(01:12:16):
some answers for you.

Speaker 14 (01:12:16):
Okay, okay, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:12:19):
I wore the roses just over two minutes on intern
John Morning Show. Swore the rosies on Internsjohn in your
morning show, Rachel, let me recap this. So you and
Jake match bumble. You guys have been dating for about
three months. You had said that what kind of made
you drawn to him is he's a very busy guy,
busy schedule, work, YadA, YadA, but he still took the

(01:12:41):
time out to make you feel like a priority, although
in the past month or so that seems sort of shifted.
To be fair, he did lose his belove bulldog, which
certainly tough. I can understand that. But a couple of
weeks back, you were doing some snooping in his place,
went through his drawers, found a gold necklace you assumed
to be for your birthday. Birthday came around you guys

(01:13:01):
at dinner and spot not the necklace. And that's kind
of why you want to You wore the roses. Is
that fair?

Speaker 5 (01:13:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (01:13:09):
I think that's all fair.

Speaker 1 (01:13:10):
Okay, So sausage a got called off for Emily roses.
They should go to you, girlfriend of three months. If
they do, we put you on hold. See what you
want to do. If they don't, we'll get some answers.
Hold on one second. Yeah, and I can understand losing
the pet. And then yeah, God forgetting everything else been there,
Lord knows right.

Speaker 9 (01:13:32):
Hello, this is Jake.

Speaker 4 (01:13:33):
Hi Jake, my name is Emily and calling you from
a new flower shop. We're offering you a free bouquet
of a dozen roses. We're just trying out some new marketing.

Speaker 9 (01:13:40):
No, no, Emily, it's okay. I don't do these solicitation calls.

Speaker 4 (01:13:45):
Okay, I appreciate your calling one thousand percent to get that.
We're just we're just brand new. We're trying to get
more foot traffic before the holidays. We don't need your
credit card info or anything. And it's just a way
for you know, you to look better maybe if you
have someone to send them to, and then that will
hopefully in the future, help out my mom's new flower shop.
We're just you know, help your local economy. But if
you don't want to, I get it. I just feel
like a free bouquet of roses is easier to you know,

(01:14:09):
promote something than Instagram ads and stuff.

Speaker 5 (01:14:13):
So this isn't like one of those scam calls or
anything like that. No.

Speaker 4 (01:14:17):
I literally hate talking on the phone, so I don't
want to do this. I just thought it's the best way,
and so far it's been working this kind of marketing. So, uh,
if you have a business, yeah, maybe you could try
it out.

Speaker 9 (01:14:29):
And you said it it's a free.

Speaker 1 (01:14:31):
It's free, okay.

Speaker 4 (01:14:33):
Yeah, Well, we just like have a plethora right now.
So we're trying to get rhythm since it's not really
like that time of year, and they're red. So I mean,
people are always sending roses, but not as many as
we have. We just got some really nice ones.

Speaker 9 (01:14:43):
So oh wow, that sounds pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
So you're in.

Speaker 4 (01:14:48):
It sounds like you're in. You have someone. I know
you have someone to send them to. Jake, I can tell.

Speaker 9 (01:14:58):
You know, I love the idea free anything free.

Speaker 1 (01:15:01):
Yeah, and then.

Speaker 4 (01:15:01):
Hopefully you just love them so much that you use
this in the future, like during the holidays instead of
you know, a national chain.

Speaker 9 (01:15:08):
Any stipulations with this.

Speaker 4 (01:15:09):
You know, we just want to get them out. We
want to hook you up, and if you don't like them,
that sucks for us. But this is not gonna do
anything for you, so it's not gonna, you know, ruin
your day hopefully.

Speaker 9 (01:15:22):
Okay, well I guess in that case, sign me up.

Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
Okay, yay, who do you want to send them to?

Speaker 5 (01:15:31):
Well, let's see, I would love to send them to
somebody that I've been talking to dating for about three
months four months now.

Speaker 9 (01:15:39):
Her name is Rachel.

Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
And then what do you want the card to say?
Just your typical flower card?

Speaker 5 (01:15:44):
So I would love for it to say like these
roses are love and lust will never die.

Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
Like these roses are love will never die.

Speaker 9 (01:15:59):
Love and lust.

Speaker 4 (01:15:59):
Yeah, all right, let me just put you on hold
so we can get that together and then I'll get
an address.

Speaker 11 (01:16:03):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:16:03):
Is that cool?

Speaker 9 (01:16:05):
Okay, so that's great? Thank you?

Speaker 1 (01:16:07):
Okay, real quick. So, Rachel, I'm sorry, I maybe text
the whole time, but I eric is he to talk
to the person online?

Speaker 9 (01:16:15):
Nine?

Speaker 1 (01:16:15):
So Rachel, he sent them to you, which is good.
But hold on, is this Stephanie? Hello?

Speaker 21 (01:16:24):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (01:16:25):
So you you Stephanie? You know Jake?

Speaker 6 (01:16:31):
Yeah, come for about three years and five years prior
to that because he's my damn husband.

Speaker 2 (01:16:38):
It's not awkward.

Speaker 11 (01:16:40):
Wow?

Speaker 14 (01:16:41):
Would I don't think that's true? I don't he's not married.

Speaker 1 (01:16:44):
Yeah it is true? Yeah, yeah, okay true? Can you
verify that, Stephanie.

Speaker 6 (01:16:51):
The whole dog dying bit that he has going, that's
pretty amazing being that our dog Rocky is very well
in the lie just pooped on the floor yet last night,
very very.

Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
Much so alive. Okay, it could be a comic about that.

Speaker 1 (01:17:07):
Okay, Okay, so are we I don't mean I'm not
disbelieving you So are you saying then that Rachel has
been at y'all's place then, and.

Speaker 9 (01:17:17):
That was.

Speaker 6 (01:17:19):
No, it's probably his brother's place. Most likely his brother
lives by.

Speaker 14 (01:17:23):
Where is his brother's place?

Speaker 2 (01:17:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:17:26):
Is it by the airport? Because his brother is a pilot,
he's never home.

Speaker 14 (01:17:30):
Yeah, I mean his place is by the airport.

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Yeah, yeah, I'm sure.

Speaker 6 (01:17:35):
Does he have a tattoo on it on the back
of the shoulder for penn Stein by chance.

Speaker 14 (01:17:39):
That Yeah, he has a tattoo.

Speaker 16 (01:17:43):
Yeah, it's like a I don't know, like it looks
like a like a big cat or something like a
jaguar or panther or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (01:17:49):
So if you guys want he's on hold, I can
just be on.

Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
Yeah, bring him.

Speaker 14 (01:17:55):
I just literally I cannot believe this.

Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
Okay, But Rachel, I want to be sure too. You
had no idea he was.

Speaker 14 (01:17:59):
Man, I have literally no idea. I'm so sorry. I
would never day to marry.

Speaker 12 (01:18:05):
Man, not you.

Speaker 1 (01:18:06):
Okay, So let's do this real quick. On on uh, Jake,
are you there.

Speaker 9 (01:18:12):
All right? Hey man?

Speaker 1 (01:18:13):
Real quick. My name's intern John. I got a sauce
here as well. We're doing a war of the Rose
in the show and you let you know that some
good news, bad news. You did send the roses to
your girlfriend Rachel. That's the good news. The bad news
is your wife, Stephanie's on the line too. Stephanie, if
you want to.

Speaker 6 (01:18:30):
Stay hello, Yeah, I want to say more than hello,
but I think I'll have my divorce attorney say it
for me, because this is we're done. We are done, Jake.

Speaker 14 (01:18:42):
I'm sorry, I'm confused, but yeah, so Jake, you know
you're not confused.

Speaker 1 (01:18:47):
You're confused that you got caught. You're not confused going
on for three.

Speaker 5 (01:18:51):
Months, I think the line is crossed.

Speaker 1 (01:18:57):
Jake, you sent the roses cross don't you sent the
roses to your girlfriend Rachel of three months? We heard
you say that. But you've been married for years and

Speaker 1 (01:21:00):
You two eat everything celebrity sauce has or entertainment aport coming,
What you got for us?

Speaker 4 (01:21:04):
People are talking about who was not at Selena Gomez's wedding.

Speaker 2 (01:21:07):
I'm gonna tell you who.

Speaker 1 (01:21:08):
Get to it in less than three minutes, Sonny turned
down in your morning shower and let's do this. Everything
celebrity sauce has or entertainment apport? What you got for us?

Speaker 4 (01:21:18):
So, Selena Gomez and Bang Blanco, Oh, they got married
last weekend, and there's been some gossip coming out from
said wedding because basically Selena Gomez's kidney donor, Francia Rasa,
she was not there and there's been, you know, speculation
that they're not friends anymore for years now. So uh,
basically Selena Gomez. The wedding had one hundred and seventy guests,

(01:21:39):
and Selena and Francia they have been friends since two
thousand and seven. However, not long after Francia donated a
kidney to Selena back in twenty seventeen, they had a
falling out. So uh, they never like talked publicly about
There's been like some little quotes here and there, but
Francia said that she's saw spego with Selena because she
continued to make quote unquote unhealthy choices like partying on
her what one good kidney, So this was based on

(01:22:01):
her Instagram post. And then last weekend, also based on
her Instagram post, she had attended a birthday party of
a different actress and so she was definitely not there
and people are like, okay, so they're definitely not friend daymore,
which is unfortunate because like, she donated a kidney to
save sleema books, so I hate that. And Eric Dana
came out a few months ago that he has als

(01:22:21):
and it's definitely not stopping him from living his life.

Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
So he's fifty two years old. He was spotted in a.

Speaker 4 (01:22:26):
Wheelchair at an airport here in DC. I've looked everywhere
to try to figure out what airport it is.

Speaker 2 (01:22:31):
It looks like DCA to me.

Speaker 4 (01:22:33):
I'm just gonna say, but basically a reporter was there
stopped him and Eric said that he just has been
keeping faith. Annasaur says, basically, they wants to live his life.
Doesn't want people to grieve him, wants people to be.

Speaker 3 (01:22:44):
There for him.

Speaker 4 (01:22:45):
He's going through I can't even imagine what he's going through,
you know, having als, but he wants to be surrounded
by you know, his family's friends and positivity. Which, of course,
so he has been declining a lot, and that's why
he's now in a wheelchair.

Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
Very sad. But I wonder why is here?

Speaker 4 (01:23:02):
I don't know, but maybe because of you know, all
the hospitals and everything here. So Zay and Louie Tomlinson
are reunited for a Netflix documentary. So they were in
One Direction. I'm sure you already know that they're taking
a road trip throughout the US and then they're filming.
Apparently though filming already underway, so Zane and Louis they're
expected to talk about their time as you know, One

(01:23:23):
Direction members and then also you know Liampayne and how
you know just how I can't imagine being sure, but yeah,
So basically they already are getting a multimillion dollar pay
day just for the project. So and they also are
going to talk about how they were planning a reunion
for one direction before Limpayne passed away. Looking for somebody
to watch tonight If you missed it, I heard Ready

(01:24:27):

Speaker 14 (01:24:29):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (01:24:29):
What are we doing for a Thursday?

Speaker 2 (01:24:32):

Speaker 10 (01:24:33):

to day in turn Johnny Morning Show. I don't recommend
ever stealing cars. Well yeah, however, of all the cars

(01:25:18):
to steal, probably for it stand out the most. I
would say, a hearse would stand out. Ice cream truck,
that would stand out, ambulance, ambulance, fire truck. Yeah, let
me go to Florida. A man was arrested overnight after
he allegedly stole an ambulance outside of a hospital. Out
of all the allegedlys we've had stealing the ambulance, is

(01:25:40):
that's not a case of miss I didn't it was
my car that ron Keys five parks here. That's a
pretty obvious. You get in there and there's you know,
the gurney in the back seat, there's lights on top.

Speaker 9 (01:25:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:25:51):
According to police, uh, they say the ambulance was stolen
the emergency entrance, which is also.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
I feel like that's pretty busy area, probably too.

Speaker 1 (01:26:01):
Yeah. So the suspect is a forty seven year old
dude who's taking in custody. Transported back to the hospital
for metical clarence to make sure it was good. I
think they're like, hey, you can't clearly or not? Yeah
all here, Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 9 (01:26:11):
So.

Speaker 1 (01:26:12):
Apparently he'd been treated the hospital for hallucinations. It was
in the process of being transferred somewhere else when he
left the hospital and sold the ambulance.

Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
Now, how was he able to leave?

Speaker 5 (01:26:20):
There?

Speaker 1 (01:26:20):
Is that part. So that's a very good point. If
we had somebody in the hospital for hallucinations.

Speaker 2 (01:26:24):
That's like really scary.

Speaker 1 (01:26:25):
Yeah. Yeah. So, uh, he's been released. They're gonna do
more tests. But that's like, well we're gone.

Speaker 4 (01:26:31):
He's okay though, sure Like that's like actually not funny
at all.

Speaker 1 (01:26:35):
No, although of all the cars is stealed, the ambulance,
the fire truck. Those are something that you like in
grand theft auto. Yeah, in real life a little more difficult.
So officially from the show, don't don't do that, just don't.
It's an intern Johnny Mary Show. Is it wrong that
after a few dates she reached out to this person?
Second date? Up day comes next, Happy Thursday. Thanks for

(01:26:57):
hanging intern? Johniy Morning Show usually talk about the highlights
of the show, and there we're a lot today there
were a lot. Now I'm not proud of the moment.
I might ride Erica a donkey at the Grammys. There's that.
So that's actual, actual thing. It's a real thing I got.
I'm in the consideration for Grammy if we win, I'm
riding Erica a donkey in the red carpet. Long story,

(01:27:19):
but War of the Roses. She thought her boyfriend was
cheating and then his wife called it and let me
just play a little bit of this. Hold on.

Speaker 6 (01:27:26):
I want to say more than hello, but I think
I'll have my divorce attorney, say it for me, because
this is We're done. We are done, Jake.

Speaker 9 (01:27:36):
I'm sorry, I'm confused with yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:27:40):
As a guy, I can speak on this. It's not
gonna be in War of the Roses now, not gonna
be roses with a girlfriend and your wife. That's that's
a kind of double winning right there. If you masic
at the podcast, just search intern Johnny Morning Show wherever
it gets your podcast. Let's do this from the City that.

Speaker 4 (01:27:55):
Changes the world, Pierce Rose with three Things you need.

Speaker 1 (01:27:59):
To know or your Thursday Rose which you got for us.
Some sad news.

Speaker 7 (01:28:02):
Primemate ologist Jane Goodall has died at the age of
ninety one. The Jane Goodall Institute announced her death on
social media now. She started her research on chimpanzees in
the wild in nineteen sixty and through observation, was able
to prove that primates display a bunch of similar behaviors
like humans. The Maryland Zoo made a statement saying Goodall
was a true champion for wildlife conservation and her decades

(01:28:23):
of research and tireless advocacy helped to protect endangered chimpanzees
and inspire countless people to care for the.

Speaker 1 (01:28:29):
Planet and its incredible creatures. So just sending her thoughts
to her loved ones. That's just sad. She's eleven.

Speaker 7 (01:28:35):
So as the government is shut down going into day two,
there are a lot of unknowns. However, I will tell
you there are some restaurants in bars and that the
MV offering heavy discounts to federal workers.

Speaker 1 (01:28:44):
And of the shutdown, which is pretty nice.

Speaker 7 (01:28:46):
So some places are offering either all day happy hours
with discounted prices or even offering free items when you
buy something else. Those restaurants are also concerned that the
government shutdown is going to chase away their customers.

Speaker 1 (01:28:57):
Obviously that is important to them.

Speaker 7 (01:29:00):
So elsewhere, the Washington Spirit are hosting a fan appreciation
match at Audifield on Sunday and the first two hundred
federal employees will get.

Speaker 1 (01:29:07):
In for free, which is cool.

Speaker 7 (01:29:09):
And BG is offering flexible payment plans, waving late fees
and just simplifying access to assistance if you need it
and you don't need to show your groom and ID,
you just have to call and get like personalized support.
And after nearly three decades, AOL has officially pulled the
plug out dial up internet service. Not that like majority
of people are using dial up.

Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
Anymore radio station does, but not talking about.

Speaker 7 (01:29:36):
But at its height in the late nineties and early
two thousands, AOL connected.

Speaker 1 (01:29:39):
More than twenty million users.

Speaker 7 (01:29:41):
Coined the iconic You've got mail. I mean, I think
that screechy modem tone lives in all of our nightmares.

Speaker 1 (01:29:47):
And yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 7 (01:29:49):
But while only a few thousand customers still use AOL
dial up, the shutdown marks the end of an era,
nah does Now.

Speaker 1 (01:29:56):
AOL itself is not going away. It's just the dial up.

Speaker 7 (01:29:59):
So it's all offers, email, tech support, all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:30:03):
If you are subscribed to it, put the dial up man.
You remember hot, Like if somebody picked up the phone, Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (01:30:12):
Disconnect, mom.

Speaker 1 (01:30:15):
Trying to talk to babes.

Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
That's a worse time, a lot of time.

Speaker 7 (01:30:19):
Anyways, those are the three.

Speaker 1 (01:30:21):
Things you just know today. Thank you, Rose, You're welcome. Also,
gotta thank Duncan coming in today with the coffee and
the doughnuts and the hash browns are fantastic. But Pumpkin
is back at Dunk and the pumpkin spice signature Latte
hot or ice, I'm an ice, Lotte. You are Minnesota
and me. Yeah, I mean it's kind of way to
go at the Pumpkins World. Any hotter ice coffee as
well cobrew or espresso and huge thanks dun Can we

(01:30:43):
appreciate you coming in. Second date updates on interns down
in your Morning show brought to you by Strategic Love
Play now playing the Signature Theater in Arlington, VA. You're
dating somebody, you think things are going well, then they
stop talking you. We tracked the rags dankly. What's going on, Sarah?
Good morning? Hi? Going through your email? So you and

(01:31:06):
Jared matched on Hinge? About how long ago?

Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
I guess it was around a month ago?

Speaker 1 (01:31:11):
Okay? And what about Jared's profile made you? Made him
stand out? What drew you to him?

Speaker 3 (01:31:18):
He just kind of checked all the boxes, like he
didn't have real creeper vibes on his profile and wasn't
like holding a fish, you know, standing there does like
awful profile photos. He just looked really likable and he's
a dog lover. You know, he's interested in a lot
of the same things I'm interested in.

Speaker 14 (01:31:36):
He just looks like a nice guy.

Speaker 1 (01:31:38):
Important And so how long from matching to seeing each
other in person? The first time. What was that window?

Speaker 14 (01:31:45):
It was pretty quick. It was within the first week.

Speaker 1 (01:31:48):
We had a date, okay, and that was the dinner date.

Speaker 14 (01:31:51):
It looks like, yeah, we went to dinner.

Speaker 3 (01:31:54):
You know, we had some drinks and we just had
a really nice conversation and I thought it was.

Speaker 2 (01:31:59):
Going for Well.

Speaker 1 (01:32:00):
Did the conversation transfer over from the app to in
person pretty easily? Like it was a seamless transition.

Speaker 3 (01:32:07):
Yeah, we were like messaging right away and we were chatting.
I mean, you know, it was like intermittent because we
have opposite schedules, and I understand that he's like really
busy with his job, so I wasn't like too worried
if he did an answer right away. But I mean
we had a pretty consistent conversation going.

Speaker 1 (01:32:23):
Okay, And the flag that first comes up for me,
as you mentioned that between the first day and the
second date, getting him to commit to the second date
was like pulling teeth. Can you go into what you
mean by that?

Speaker 4 (01:32:35):
Well, you know, we.

Speaker 3 (01:32:36):
Were having such great conversation and I figured, like, why
don't we take this offline and actually meet in person?
So that's kind of what I said to him, and
he was like, yeah, that sounds really great. And he
didn't give me any other answers. He just like, so,
do you want me to plan the whole thing or
do you have any suggestions of when we should meet?
So it was just kind of slow from the start,
like the conversation seemed to roll up until I asked, Hi,

(01:32:58):
meet in person, and then he shook it kind of
take a step back.

Speaker 1 (01:33:01):
Wait, So for the two dates you guys went on,
did you plan them or did he plan them?

Speaker 3 (01:33:06):
I mean I kind of planned everything.

Speaker 1 (01:33:09):
Okay, that's that changed. Did you pay for the dates
or did he paid for them?

Speaker 4 (01:33:14):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:33:15):
I mean he paid for dinner and everything was, you know,
really great from there.

Speaker 1 (01:33:20):
And so here we are. You have her phone a
week and a half, you've reached out, no calls, no text, nothing,
and you want to know where his head's at. Is
that fair? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:33:30):
I mean I just I thought that both dates ended
pretty well. It seemed like he might be.

Speaker 14 (01:33:35):
Interested in seeing me again. So I just don't know
what happened.

Speaker 1 (01:33:38):
Have we kissed on the lips?

Speaker 2 (01:33:40):
Good question.

Speaker 3 (01:33:42):
He did attempt to give me a kiss after the
second date, and I just the vibes were kind of
off at the end of the night, so I.

Speaker 15 (01:33:52):
Didn't really know what happened.

Speaker 1 (01:33:53):
Do you think maybe that's why he if he rejected
his romantic advance in the form of the kiss, do
you like that make me want to jump off the bridge?

Speaker 2 (01:34:03):
The water stop that? Do not say that.

Speaker 3 (01:34:06):
I could see why you might think that, but you know,
I just I kind of let him know, like, Hey,
you know, I really like you. I just want to
give this more time before we make it physical.

Speaker 14 (01:34:17):
I feel like I was.

Speaker 4 (01:34:19):
Pretty honest, said that calm and try to get his
of the storks.

Speaker 1 (01:34:24):
I am curious.

Speaker 2 (01:34:24):
I just duck under.

Speaker 1 (01:34:37):
I confer Jared, please, this is and man, it's a
interns Gahn. I got Sauce and Rose here as well.
If we talked you on the air real quick about something,
I seemed like thirty seconds of your time. Nothing bad, Okay, Sure,
I got somebody on their line, Sarah, I who want
to say hello?

Speaker 4 (01:34:56):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (01:34:56):
Jared nailed and so Jared Sarah reached out to us,
told us you guys a match on a hinge about
a month or so ago, had two dates, but the
last week and a half or so she hasn't heard
from you. So we're checking in see where you're at, buddy,
where am I at? Yes? Like, do you see a future?

(01:35:17):
Do you want to see each other again?

Speaker 2 (01:35:19):
Not like physically? Where are you?

Speaker 1 (01:35:20):
Yeah? Why haven't we?

Speaker 5 (01:35:23):
No?

Speaker 19 (01:35:23):
I yeah, I'm a little this is a little unnerving.

Speaker 2 (01:35:27):
Sorry.

Speaker 19 (01:35:28):
Yeah, so yeah I did, Sarah and I did go
on a couple of dates.

Speaker 1 (01:35:33):
Yes, well, why why do you disappeared?

Speaker 9 (01:35:38):
Well?

Speaker 19 (01:35:39):
I think the the the biggie for me is I
found out from my sister that Sarah had contacted through
Instagram and started asking a bunch of questions about me.

Speaker 2 (01:35:53):
Oh my god, which, yeah, ma'am.

Speaker 15 (01:35:57):
That's a little you know my sister.

Speaker 19 (01:36:00):
I want to drag her into like a web of
you know, I prefer to keep her out.

Speaker 9 (01:36:09):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:36:09):
Yes, Sarah, did you reach out to.

Speaker 14 (01:36:14):
I mean, come, like, light up?

Speaker 3 (01:36:16):
It wasn't like stalker vibes, Like you gave off a
really weird vibe at the end of our second day.
And yeah, I happened to know someone who knows your sister,
so I did a little digging around to try and
see if you were worth even trying.

Speaker 14 (01:36:28):
But yeah, that weird vibe.

Speaker 19 (01:36:31):
That weird vibe was because I feel like I'm being stalked.

Speaker 1 (01:36:35):
Yes, I guess like, like, so you when you reached
out to his sister, did you say, hey, I've gone
on two days with your brother. Is he a good guy?

Speaker 9 (01:36:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:36:45):
I just kind of wanted to see like if he
had I don't know, maybe he had just got out
of a serious relationship and he wasn't ready or like
his toe on the water a little too soon, Like
I just I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:36:57):
I mean, I think here in a little off about Okay,
Jared Sarah for Devil's Advocate. If Jared reached out to
like your brother, but hey, bro, I'm going on dates
their sister, would you not be a little bit like
that's weird?

Speaker 4 (01:37:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:37:14):
I think maybe if he didn't know him at all, Yeah,
but like I know somebody who knows his sister.

Speaker 1 (01:37:21):
So I also, how how do you know? How do
you know somebody knows his sister? I also see conversation. Yes, now,
I looked them up on social media.

Speaker 3 (01:37:34):
On social media, I saw that we had mutual friends.

Speaker 1 (01:37:37):
I okay, I'm gonna put you guys in hold. Are
you a team? Sarah? Team Jared eight seven seven nine
nine five four sixty one to call nine nine three
three eight to text second date up dates on intern
John Your Morning Show. Second date update on intern John
in Your Morning Show. We have talked to Sarah and Jared.
They managed on Hinge about two months ago, had a

(01:37:59):
cup dates. She had said she hadn't her for him.
In a couple of weeks after David Buster's date, he
tells us that apparently she reached out to his sister
to get some information on and guess do a kind
of like a check up if you will your thoughts
eight seven seven nine ninety five four six s eight
one to call nine ninety three three eight to text, well,
I get shinhold sauce, what do you think of m It.

Speaker 4 (01:38:19):
Seems like she's just really trying to force him to
like her, because even before the second date, or even
just the dates in general, didn't seem like he was
like that interested. Sure, just kind of went along with it,
it sounded like, and then she's now like, oh what
other things I do? Finds the sister And I don't
think that she knew that they had mutual friends until
she found her on social media. I think that's fair,

(01:38:39):
so because how would that have even come up?

Speaker 15 (01:38:42):
You know?

Speaker 2 (01:38:42):
So, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:38:43):
I am team Jared, I do think it's weird, and honestly,
I don't think Jared was into Sarah.

Speaker 1 (01:38:48):
No and as a dude.

Speaker 4 (01:38:50):
Before before she contacted the sister, which is that is
crossing so may line if someone did that to if
someone did that to my sibling, I would be furious.

Speaker 1 (01:38:59):
Why I was going to say, I don't have sisters.
I have YouTube obviously, so if I'm fairly private when
it comes to dating stuff. So if I've done two
days to somebody and I found that they reached out
to one of you two to like, I would assume,
as it gets you're trying to pressure have like one
of YouTube pressure me to be like, we found this
nice girl reached out to you, you know what I mean.
I also don't think you two would get that DM
as my sisters be like, oh this is great, probably

(01:39:20):
like why the hell you reaching out to I think
that raised more flags. I'm sure his sister's flags are raised,
like absolutely, that's odd. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:39:28):
I would be annoyed because I'm like, your relationship has
nothing to do with me. Like if somebody reached out
to me after they went on date with my brother Colby,
I would be so annoyed, I'd be like, Okay, so
clearly you're a little you're not like you're I don't
know what you're looking for, but this is not healthy,
and don't talk to me.

Speaker 1 (01:39:44):
Let me go on Bristow Tanya, good morning.

Speaker 21 (01:39:47):
Hey, good morning.

Speaker 1 (01:39:48):
Your thoughts girl? What'd you want to say?

Speaker 14 (01:39:51):
Well, I agree with sauce. I believe that the sauce
is talking and good morning everybody.

Speaker 21 (01:40:00):
Look, I'm changing careers, so I'm on my way there now.
I have to be there by nine point thirty.

Speaker 14 (01:40:10):
But yes, I think she's a little insecure.

Speaker 8 (01:40:13):
I feel like, you know, she was trying really hard.

Speaker 21 (01:40:16):
To see what she can find in common with him
and then found that they had friends in common and
thought that that was the right way to go when
an actuality backfired on her.

Speaker 1 (01:40:25):
Yeah, so I think, yeah, I think that's you.

Speaker 21 (01:40:28):
Know, and it's unfortunately I think that you know, she
may have liked him, like you said, a little bit
more than.

Speaker 3 (01:40:33):
He liked her, and he was more of a casual dating.

Speaker 8 (01:40:36):
And she was looking more for a relationship. And but
I mean seeing that makes me feel like, you know,
she's put you know, forcing the relationship and that she's
nervous about keeping a relationship, so I don't know she's
worried about those those feelings at the beginning, like, you know,
is he gonna like me?

Speaker 21 (01:40:55):
You know?

Speaker 8 (01:40:55):
And then she went off with.

Speaker 1 (01:40:56):
His say, best of luck today, keep it.

Speaker 11 (01:41:01):
I will.

Speaker 1 (01:41:02):
I'll text you guys later. Already, my main rose. You
have like thirty brothers. If one of their girls reached
out to you, would you find that odd?

Speaker 7 (01:41:11):
I would find that as a red flag immediately if
I did not know that person, even if we had
mutual friends.

Speaker 1 (01:41:17):
Do not come and contact me, because I'm going to
be like, this is weird. I don't like it.

Speaker 7 (01:41:22):
That's that you're digging for information about my brother from me.
You don't know me. Why would I give you any information.
I don't know who you are.

Speaker 18 (01:41:30):
If it was.

Speaker 7 (01:41:30):
Someone I knew, I could be like, oh yeah, like that,
that would be better, easier to understand. I don't understand
why she went straight to the sister and not the
mutual friends.

Speaker 1 (01:41:41):
That didn't make sense to me. The whole thing doesn't
really make the whole thing is let me go in Winchester, Melissa,
good morning, Good morning, Baker. What do you want to
say with second date? Up Dab.

Speaker 13 (01:41:55):
I am definitely team Jared all the way she weirdly
stalked him, She contacted the sister, and then she contacts
the radio station before even asking him.

Speaker 1 (01:42:04):
That's your point, it's a val it's the valid point.
I don't think that we're involved in this. Yeah, Kevin
Roger just hit us. That does Melissa, thank you for listening.
To have a great day, my man. Let's go in
the district. Zara, good morning, Good morning. How are you
guys do well? Second day up date? What do you

(01:42:24):
want to say?

Speaker 3 (01:42:26):
I am team Sarah.

Speaker 10 (01:42:27):
Where it comes to the stalking, I'm sorry. Wait here
is where it comes down to it. I've got girlfriends
that are single. We have one friend that we call
the FBI. When they go on their dates, their location
is on We know who they look like. You don't
know if they're married.

Speaker 3 (01:42:41):
You don't know if they have.

Speaker 14 (01:42:42):
A second life. You don't know anything like that.

Speaker 10 (01:42:44):
You want to make sure all of these things before
you go on a date. That he really wasn't into
her like that. She should have taken it off the app.

Speaker 1 (01:42:51):
That's fair.

Speaker 10 (01:42:53):
They should have left it on the app. As far
as like reaching out to the sister, I have a brother,
and I think I'm more of a girl's girl because
I do have brother.

Speaker 1 (01:43:00):
I know how much of it. Can't say that word.
You much have a poop show. They can be apologized.
That's so good girl.

Speaker 10 (01:43:09):
So I would be like, I'd be like, listen, either
one you're wasting your time or two they can be
like this, this or this.

Speaker 1 (01:43:15):
You make up your mind, sir, I disagree, Zara, thank
you for listening, Thank you for testing our dumb button.
That's all good. If you want to do a secondary
of Dave DM's rope and at YMS Radio, eat everything
celebrity sauce has or entertainment apart coming what you got

Speaker 2 (01:43:32):

celebrity sauce has for entertainment of port what you got for.

Speaker 4 (01:44:12):
Us, So Taylor Swift is certain to dominate the Billboard
charts through October. Pre Saves for the Life of a
Showgirl guarantee that the album will have the biggest first
week of twenty twenty five. So maybe Taylor will make
Dave the biggest album debut history. So the all time
record actually belongs to Adele for album twenty five moved
three point four million units in the first seven days,

(01:44:32):
so tortured Poet's department. In comparison, that moved two point
six million. So we'll see what happens. But she obviously
wants to surpass at in you know. She's gonna be
on talk shows the next few days and the official
release party of a show Girl is another promotional tool.
Of course, It's gonna have a movie theaters back all
you Know and long and next weekend two Also just

(01:44:53):
for Taylor Swift, five hundred Target stores will be open
at midnight tonight for the release of the Life of
a show Girl, so you can check the website. I
will say in Maryland there are only a few Cropton, Frederick,
Lexington Park, Rockville in Timonium, whereas in Virginia there are
a lot more. Virginia's obviously bigger, but I'll say the
more local ones Alexandria, Falls Church, Gainsville, Leesburg, and Maryfield.

(01:45:16):
That's those are in Rustin. Yeah, those are the closest ones.
So yeah, and we'll blast in the past. Kim Kardashian
and Chris Jenner are suing ray Ja for defamation, so
basically accusing him of spreading a law claiming they're under
a federal racketeering investigation. So the lawyer says that ray
Ja is unable to accept the end of his relationship

(01:45:37):
with Kim Kardashian, which was over twenty years ago, and
the lawsuit does point he's not saying it out of
thin air. It does point to the documentary of the
United States Versus Shawn Combs where literally he's talking ish
about the Kardashians and said, if you told me the
Kardashians you know we're being charged for rackteering, I would
believe it, so, I mean so the Kardashians. Of course

(01:46:01):
they're gonna sue. I also think we should be that surprise.
And if you love K Pop Demon Hunters then you
are in luck if you play what's called Fortnite.

Speaker 2 (01:46:11):
I cannot use my.

Speaker 4 (01:46:12):
Brain today, So they are jumping into the gaming world
with a Fortnite crossover. This actually starts today, so you
can drop into Demon Rush mode where as bagasly Epic
Games put it. Fans can team up with Hunters to
protect the Han Moon from the endless waves of faceless demons,
all while channeling their inner Roomy Mira and Zoe with
outfit successories. You know, Fortnite always does this with like

(01:46:33):
the big thing.

Speaker 2 (01:46:34):
I like it. I think it's fun.

Speaker 4 (01:46:36):
But this will only be going for the next thirty days,
so make sure you get on it now if you're
into that. I feel like for something to watch tonight,
We got Thursday Night Football. The Rams are playing The
forty nine Ers that's on Prime, The Real Housewives of
Arge Counties on Bravo, The Swift Effect its season two
out today on Peacock, and then there's a new episode
of Peacemaker on HBO Max.

Speaker 1 (01:46:54):
Thanks Austin welcome. If you need someone to listen to.
Speaking of peacemaker, Hoody has a crisis podcast up breaking
down on that you can listen to y Miss radio
dot com. I gotta get to this next for your Thursday.
Doesn't really affect YouTube, But the downside of being the
funny one at work? Give me about three minutes. First,
Sumber on interns on your morning show. You two are
so lucky you don't have to deal with this on

(01:47:16):
a constant basis, and you report out how being the
funny one at work can come with downsides. So again,
to sit down, I'll handle this.

Speaker 4 (01:47:24):
You're so annoying, you're so funny, says I got this one.

Speaker 1 (01:47:29):
I got this one. So this was post arcle. Why
you seriously need to stop trying to be the funny
one at work? How it can backfire? So they say,
folks who use humor effectively at work can be seen
as more confident, more competent. Okay, yes, like you do it.
It's actually funny, it's not offensive. You are the personality higher,

(01:47:51):
which I think that's kind of what we are, which
is fair. But when the joke falls flat, negative effects
and be even more dramatic.

Speaker 2 (01:47:58):
Well yeah, us.

Speaker 1 (01:48:00):
Two big risks are you look less incredible and you
lose people's respect.

Speaker 4 (01:48:04):
Especially liked some of the jokes. I'm just like, wow,
you're saying that out loud.

Speaker 1 (01:48:08):
Okay, well it is not you.

Speaker 2 (01:48:09):
I'm not talking about you in general.

Speaker 1 (01:48:11):
Yeah, it's also a bit like us. It's like where
the students then when the teachers come in, and it's
just like it's two different worlds.

Speaker 14 (01:48:17):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:48:18):
It's just like, imagine that the animals in the zoo
got to go outside, kind of what it's like when
we It's like, what do you guys doing here?

Speaker 4 (01:48:24):
But I feel like sometimes people make don't realize, Hey,
we don't really know each other, and you're making these
jokes that I'm like, that is so like I don't
know you.

Speaker 2 (01:48:33):
Why do you think that's okay to joke with me?

Speaker 1 (01:48:35):
Well, that's the point they say, two Sauce is like,
you really have to know who you're around. And I
think that because know it's somebody at work and knowing
them in real life are too vastly different.

Speaker 4 (01:48:45):
Things like we've known each other for nine years, so
we're all friends. We can joke and stuff, and we
get each other Seamer, but it's like some people I can.

Speaker 1 (01:48:50):
Joke you guys try you know, I mean okay and
thank you.

Speaker 18 (01:48:54):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:48:55):
They say, what makes like a Joe good is unexpected
or it seems to break the rules in some way.
Okay also has come across as harmless, so.

Speaker 4 (01:49:01):
It's not mean, or it's like sometimes like the joke
that you've been you've had in your mind that someone
makes you like, oh that was so good, thank you,
thank god you said that.

Speaker 1 (01:49:07):
I'll say, like Haley, our digital girl is like low
key funny. She's very quiet, but when she tells a joke,
it's like, yoah, where did that come from? Mich the
jokes have the person you don't expect. Those are the
best ones.

Speaker 2 (01:49:20):
Absolutely, Hoodie has really good jokes.

Speaker 1 (01:49:21):
Well, and then I was going to say what Eric
does is when Hoodie says a joke is Hoodie is
also some a quiet Eric will say the same joke
but louder, but missed about sixty percent of the joke. Yes,
so it's almost there. It's like Eric pirates Hoodies jokes
and it's it's almost like the original version.

Speaker 2 (01:49:36):
But it's yeah, that's.

Speaker 17 (01:49:42):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:49:42):
Yeah, anyway, I'm not judging. Sorry sorry, They say that
overall the out make sure you wave, the bedfits, make
sure is good, make.

Speaker 2 (01:49:49):
Sure of humor, like like know your audience.

Speaker 1 (01:49:52):
We love lo ols, We love Lola. It's intern Johnny Markshaw.
Huge thanks that dunk Can come in today with the
doughnuts obviously, the coffee obviously, but they got the pumpkin
cake donut and the pumpkin munchkin doughnut hold trees.

Speaker 2 (01:50:05):
Those are the pumpkin donut holders.

Speaker 1 (01:50:08):
Yeah, because you can just pop like four or five
of those and then forget that I need four or
five more.

Speaker 4 (01:50:13):
If I have fifteen, it doesn't It's not like I
ate yeah, five doughnuts.

Speaker 1 (01:50:17):
The best is when you eat the whole box. You
who the hell? Eight fiest it was? I I know a.

Speaker 2 (01:50:20):
Few times in my life it should be embarrassing, but
it never will be.

Speaker 1 (01:50:23):
They also have the pumpkin spice sing Tlatte hot or
ice as well. Huge thanks to Duncan. If you miss
wore the roses today, people are saying the biggest roses
of the year. It's one thing to have your girlfriend
calling for war the roses, another thing when your wife
calls in afterwards.

Speaker 6 (01:50:38):
I want to say more than hello, but I think
I'll have my divorce attorney say it for me, because
this is We're done. We are done.

Speaker 9 (01:50:45):
Jake, I'm sorry, I'm confused.

Speaker 1 (01:50:51):
Yeah, I got the limes crossed. Anything you miss at
the podcast, just search interns John in your morning show,
wherever you listen to Pocket in.

Speaker 3 (01:50:57):

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
